Making a note here because I have a terrible memory.
So, apparently, from what I can find out, the game's dialogue is located next to lines indicated by 'ExtraData'. Which means I can find and translate as long as I search that line.
Made easier to find thanks to Notepad++ highlighting all the same lines.

Combat dialogue seems to be located elsewhere. For now, I'll just focus on regular dialogue.

From what I've understood of the past couple of posts, yes in that Memory will be doing a translation but not from where the "supposedly" 70% finished state on the 4chan post.

I'm pretty sure that art is done using a type of program. I've seen a bunch of games use that kind of art style.

I never could get into thief and sword. I always seemed to finish the game very fast and playing it all over again to get few additional scenes and endings didn't seem very appealing to me.

If they made a world map or something similar that would make thief and sword much better imo.

Progress Report: 01 (Get the feeling I'll end up making more of these reports. Because reasons.)

I think I can see why translating this game can be considered...'difficult'...for some. From my standpoint, my reliance on Google Translate is gonna make this task really hard, if not outright IMPOSSIBLE. (My Japanese is non-existent) I also have no context, so I have no idea how this'll turn out.

To make this easier for me, I'm gonna label EVERY DIALOGUE after their file name they are stored in. Of course, I'll have to play the game at the same time to determine their context. This will no doubt take a while.

Still haven't found the battle dialogue, BTW. My piss fetish really wants to find it. (Out of morbid curiosity)

Note: I found the characters for 'Penis'! It's located next to String codes, so I'm not sure what'll happen if I change it into English. Hmmmm... :/
I also found the stats! Shame I have no idea how to name them due to my lack of RPG knowledge. Gonna need to look this up later.

There's already a UI translation floating around somewhere, it should have the stats (and almost all the choices you make) already translated

I meant the stats when the character levels up. I don't think those are translated. (Last I checked)

Fairly certain someone claimed to be like 98% done with a full translation then just disappeared. Not sure what happened after that but it's left a lot of people fairly salty at such a disappointment. I hope someone is working on it, definitely a game that deserves one. (Also don't look at me, too busy.)

Google Translate

I used to solely depend on that until I found IMTransator. It's not perfect but it gives you Babylon, Google and Bing translations of the text you put in. I also tend to keep a Systran window open just in case the other three make no sense as has happened a few times.
