If you die and restart, you get full ammo.
Going back to the title and restarting doesn't fix that.

Got gangraped by both a couple of zombies and a swarm of insects at the same time, haha.
*edit* I found the bug you mention, I don't really have a way to detect this specific scenario with code, I might get around to fixing it. All I can recommend is just reload until you have no mags, then restart the level. It will set your ammo back to 0.
Tip: sometimes you can abuse the bug AI by letting them fuck for a second instead of struggling to get back up. The bugs will move far away if you struggle out of fucking instead of getting up before they start. It can get you an opening to escape.

the pic_hardmode.dll doesn't unpack? so it gives a error that it doesn't exist....
Extract the zip completely to your desktop or something, don't run from the .zip file.

I did that it just unpacked the launcher and read me. now when I re download it I keep getting a broken file...

It sounds like between v 1.01 and v 1.02 the way they do ammo has changed, go grab v 1.02. The way I made hardmode is via a very brittle hack, so changes in game versions can break functionality pretty easily.
Extract the zip completely to your desktop or something, don't run from the .zip file.
I actually extracted the archive into 1.0.1 folder.
But alright, I'll give it another go with version 1.0.2.

I also noticed another glitch with 1.0.1 : Sometimes the character will fall for no reason, like if had just gotten hit ... not sure if that's supposed to be part of hard mode or not. Seems random.

Anyway, that's a very cool mod.
One problem I could foresee is the lack of ammo obviously forces the player to melee the enemies more often - but since the melee system is so limited, it might feel a bit repetitive and boring after a while. Since the game wasn't designed to rely on melee so much.

... would be interesting to get dot_slave3-san's thoughts about it :)

I fixed the ammo bug and revamped the 'random falls' to be a bit more forgiving.

The falling mechanism was sort of an accident originally in the hardmode changes, I updated it to be a lot more predictable up to a point in the latest version of the hardmode mod. It is designed to make melee more interesting since you have a ~ 3% chance to fall every 2 seconds after 35 seconds of not being knocked down after being injured once. In order to compensate for the risk of melee resulting you face down ass up in front of a zombie, I added one more ammo per mag and you now start off with one mag. lol. Additionally, you gain goodwill health when you are getting fucked (up to 25 potential bonus HP). When you pick up your next health vial, it will add the earned bonus HP as well as the medkit's bonus to your HP pool. Maybe it helps you get 100% HP again to prevent random falls *shrug*. tldr; I tried to tune hardmode to make getting cornered an endgame and make progression more challenging and interesting.

Judging by the 'bugs' you are finding and that they exist in the hardmode mod running on pic v1.02, it looks like the hardmode mod works as expected for pic v1.01. No need to get pic v1.02.

please! I am having this same issue, paid for the game and have not once been able to play it. The first demo worked, the final release and second demo do not. Using windows 7 with integrated GMA 3150 graphics.
You said the word 'integrated'. When you have integrated graphics (i.e., a chipset rather than a graphics -card-), you have been ripped off if you were expecting a desktop replacement. Chipsets can generally do less than a phone as far as rendering, and they fail to be compatible with tech from even 2002 (i.e. directx 9.0, which can cause that black screen issue). The only solution is to get a desktop or a desktop -replacement- (laptop with a graphics card rather than chipset). Basically, if it doesn't say NVIDIA or RADEON or the like, don't expect it to do /anything/, but integrated graphics are even worse than that-- it's rather like being given a cardboard box when sold a waterproof case: technically better than nothing, but twice as insulting.

There is no solution I have EVER found beyond throwing money at the problem for a new computer. Integrated chips are more trouble than they're worth to upgrade, so you need something entirely new. My sympathies (stuck with a similar issue lately due to a mixup). If you have a desktop to use, try that, but you are not likely able to run it on a laptop with a useless chip.

This is just a stab in the dark but can you install the DirectX runtimes (June 2010) again?

I can't post links cause I've less than 15 posts but Google "DirectX End-User Runtimes (June 2010)". Should be the first hit.

Can someone help me verify this?

I suspect that the English DLsite page is not updated with the new 1.02 ver as the Japanese DLsite page. I've downloaded the game from the English page and I don't have the infinity health and zoom in Omake.

English page says RE123294.zip / 104.43MB (109502657Byte)
Japanese page says RJ123294.zip / 104.44MB (109515384Byte)

Just noticed that the some circles don't sell their works in the English site. Did know the Japanese and English pages are different.

Please sir, do what you like for the sequel. I just made a suggestion that in the next game that the facehugger enemies should be able to impregnate the heroine too, along with the flies. And a worm parasite that turns women into futanari who would try and attack and infect the heroine with the futanari parasite. Although I think the addition of more impregnation was the issue that offended some and not the futanari suggestion. It would be nice to see these things in my opinion but as I said right from the start, do what you like for the sequel cause I know it'll be great just like the first game. :D

Bought the game and loved playing it. Hopefully the sequel's next heroine has the zettai ryouiki fashion or nylon/stockings apparel thing happening again since I don't see this often with designs in sprite games of this quality. Someone in the thread mentioned OLs or Police Officer, and that be kinda cool.

Maybe you can try tattered clothing feature where the female heroine get tears and wear detail from her outfit from constant assault. Her clothing can probably be fixed like new as she finds a new set of the "same clothing she wears" sitting next to the first aid/medicines (which is just another sprite detail combined to the original item) when she can find them. Sure it doesn't make sense in real life, but it kinda does in a way in game logic.

But you problem have better things in mind. I hope to see news about it soon :D.

Love the idea, but that's a ton of work on the sprites. Single clothing for that amount of detail that pixalart is going to likely produce means that that could possibly double or triple the animation workload unless planned around that idea. The clothing in animation has wrinkles and fine details like torn leggings, different stages mean redoing all those fine details. Might work wonders though if it were the same character in a sequel.

I have the same question. This is my first time actually buying a game from DLsite and i'd like to know some information like:
1) How can i download new updates/updated version when they come out?
2) Can i download the game again if i need to (on a new pc for example) and how to do it?

If you signed up for an account with DLsite then you can download the game again anytime from your "My Page" > "Download History / Redownload". I'm not aware of any such method if you bought it as a guest.

If the game is updated then the author will update the zip file on DLsite.

The next update will supposedly feature new animation to be released early January.

No easy mode option. I bought it as a guest. I wonder if a patch would be available - with only the updated files? That would mean the patch was worthless to someone who didn't already have the game.

You can create an account with DLsite and request that they add your purchase to it. That way you can get the latest version whenever he updates it and download it forever.

I can't post links so Google "dlsite re-download guest".

IMO I don't think a patch will be forthcoming.
