If all ships have high morale (i.e. they are sparkling) it is possible to achieve great success, granting you 50% more resources, double experience, and all item rewards (without great success you may not receive items like instant repair)

Considering Naka and Jinzu drop from 1-1, your best bet is there.

from what i seen, getting mvp get them to sparkle. so that might work.

by the way does gun type matter or just the stat up on them?

like some of the starting 14cm cannon seem only give +1 firepower while the smaller cannons like 12.7cm gave like +2 fire power and +2 AA

You want massive damage? 41 (or was it 46?) cm main gun for battleships can deal massive damage. The smaller the weapon, the less stats it gives, depending on its functions.

So first post, wanted to say thanks for all the information that you guys/gals have posted, it has helped tons! I just wanted to say that I have finally unlocked my third fleet!

Well, I just got Rune Factory 4, Disgaea D2 and Pokemon Y both come out next week. I may drop mostly off the radar for a while.

Preordered Disgaea D2 a long time ago myself as well (Heck, still have the collector's of the JPN version)

hakoniwa, can you tell us perfect set for a BB,DD or CV... i think each kind of equipment has a special effect, not just stat. Like yellow cannons do what, or yellow planes do what... etc. we just are newbies

I'll just give in general about this.

Yellow cannons provide accuracy boost. (There's probably a combi involving it as well, I know there's a frequent 35.6/35.6/15.2)

Green guns shoot down planes during bombing phase

Type91 AP Ammo provides crit chance for the BB equipped with it.
Type 3 AA Ammo allows your whole fleet to gain AA potential, means you can shoot down planes even without green guns.

46cm is the only red cannon that can shoot down planes.

Red bombers potentially do higher damage during main phase.

Blue torpedos are better during bombing phase.

Green fighters are what I use in Practice matches to shoot down enemy planes and I usually leave my Kaga with 4 green planes when I afk.

Yellow planes are just recon planes, they provide a decent boost to enemy detection and accuracy. (Higher chance of succeeding recon giving evade/accuracy boost)

DAHH! Remodeled Kirishima without removing her equipment. Oh well, they were just 35.6cms, and I have like 15 more of them, but still :I. Bad habit to start.

We've already proved that equipments are auto unequipped during remodelling, even information on jp wiki coincides. The only time they aren't removed is in modernizing.
