sometimes i like pixel art sometimes i dont and this game is between this two oppinions
this game is fun to play(i guess because i rly liked to play icy tower) but with that lava its sometimes rly hard because u HAVE to avoid every single enemy
and if u got caught ur dead and you have to start again and the checkpoints arent working for me because i always starts at the first level of a tower.
after all this game is still well done and its worth to pay for it

you sure the place you start doesn't have the number that the checkpoint did?

Thanks for your honest thoughts, nossiob! I really should learn to have a more general audience in mind when adjusting the difficulty, instead of adjusting it towards myself and a handful of playtesters. And here I thought the game will be too easy--being a hardcore touhou player is a bad trait, I guess .

ouh uuh...i dont know but i always start at the bottom...maybe this is just how to start at a checkpoint...i guess i'll have to check it right now ^^

When you respawn, the bottom platform will always fill the entire length of the screen, even if you're at the last checkpoint. That's probably why you thought you're respawning at the bottom.

One thing that always bugged me is the highlight on the menu screen. It's way too light and makes it difficult to see what is selected.

But if you don't have a bank account and have to use a MoneyPak card to load money on your Paypal the 3 dollars turn into 25.
Plus, you can randomly be put through the "Trails of Sparta" making the 3-5 day wait for transferring money from your bank account turn into a month.

Hate Paypal...

Could've just XORed the save files, but then I'd be getting reports of "my save stopped working" whenever someone would try to edit it. There's a complete save file provided in the game package anyway.

Also lol, while writing this, got an email from CF saying the game is up on dlsite!

just dropping by to say Pendulum is great as a game way better then all the copy&paste games around here. though the hentai content is lacking, the level of polish is enough to give you a both thumbs up and I hope you make more.

I'm thinking of releasing bits and pieces of Pendulum's source code, seeing how many people are getting in touch with me just for programming help. Keep checking my blog for some "my code doesn't/does work and I have no idea why".

For anyone interested, I'll be working on a remix patch for Pendulum. I'd mostly like to address the issues previously raised to my attention by other players:

Sprite Overhaul: High(er)-res everything, hopefully full scale [so ignore pen the psycho for now]; no weird style limitations, unlike before; +10 fapability.
Difficulty Balance: Toned down stages in all modes, ability to break out of grabs.
CGs: Pretty much self explanatory, if you want numbers, I'm thinking at least 10.

The remixed version will be made available to people who bought the game before the patch goes public, free of charge, and it'll take the current game's place on dlsite and my blog.

So anyway--if there's something you'd like changed in the current version, or you'd like to see a particular feature implemented, now's the time to let me know!

Maybe a second Sprite scene for the bad guys? Either a second catch scene or something that unlocks in the gallery.

Also, for some reason the game takes forever to load. I don't know if I missed something, but my copy takes like 5 minutes to get through the percent loading screen.
