It's possible one of the essential essences is really the sister's essence required for the cardinal's robe and the animal essence requiring for stray cat.

Those are specific for sister's robe and Gothic brassier and only that as far as I am aware. I do have a spare sister essence laying around, but haven't seen it react with anything other than sister's robe.

They are very similar to the unique fusion weapons other than the fact that you don't lose it on restart.

I've downloaded the game from a link that was posted a few months back, perhaps. I did every fix mentioned on this website. I decrypted the Data and Graphics files, added them to my game directory and launched the game. It then shows no errors but, it ends up crashing immediately. My time zone is UTC, and I switched the "automatically adjust clock for Daylight Saving Time" to off. That didn't do anything. I'm running win 7 with 6 processing cores. What am I doing wrong? I just want to play this game!

Perhaps there are crafting recipes that are only unlockable on Makai difficulty, but one of us will have to get there to find out for sure.

Still haven't found earth3 yet? Just finished a run where Belle coughed up 2 copies on 2 occasions, they're now sitting in the stash in case my currently equipped one gets lost for some reason.

No matter how good your defence, start in a room with Belle, an initiate and a black dog with no place to hide and form a bottleneck is lethal.

A link that's a few months back is the reason. Old version of the game is horrid in terms of bugs. You need oct 17 or later releases to play the game without crashes. Also, patches only apply to specific version of the game and is included in later patches.

I haven't seen any room (monster floor aside) not cleared by the end of a scroll of a judgement and a dawn-star. Gotta love scroll/wand of sleep for a situation like that.

In terms of crafting I am farming Lv1 anti-essences and I believe it will unlock a new set of fusions for weapons. (Bonesaw should be Lv3 or Lv4 level worth of Lv1 Anti-Undead for example) Haven't tested it out yet, but there should be a new crafting recipe for Lv1 anti-holy being (dropped by Wild Hunt and minions)

Normally you would just use print screen and then paste get the screenshot.
If you are using in game screenshot within c-menu then you can get it in the screenshot folder.

You also need to take out the _ from _screen_shot folder in maidensnow game folder. Though from now on, you will get a screenshot every time you die. (And is in bmp file, and might end up draining your HD space, from the read me within the folder)

Still no luck, in terms of etc per run. Around 700 per weapon drop and 400 per armor drop. Then there's 125~250 from consumables. (Considering I have 10~12 slots free, that's 5k etc or so)
The thing is, when I am full I go back to sell items. And then do a new run, and the result is my underwear's close to +30 now.

I don't play AVG anymore unless its a sequel from one I played before. Its too much of a time drain considering I got final coming up. Probably going on a break as well, since hyper high speed genius's sequel is out.

Kyoshiro, I would play the whole game, skip all the h-scenes, just to see you become as epic as you were in the first game's true end. *drools* that music and that final combat, and that combat style, it was worth grinding through the 3 heroine's route.
Oh Aketchi imouto is epic character as well. But seriously, Kyoshiro's kyon level in terms of epicness in the true route. Tsuokumi's a bit below kyon's level though. Which is a shame.

I probably should adopt your method of doing runs since playing until all of my equipment is close to breaking means a single run can last as long as 4 hours, on the flip side when I do finish a marathon like that I receive 13000-14000 etc. because of the random drops in dungeons.

I'm not sure what your last paragraph was about. I'm normally not that into VN but decided to give the work a try since I'd never tried something of that style before and wanted to see if my reading abilities were still up to scratch.

I am at 5k per 20 minute run. Getting around 50k in that 4 hours is fairly doable. Then again, upgrades is somewhere around 6~7k each. Hence 50k really doesn't last long.

Update: Belle -> 60 Kills. Silver star drop isn't rare, I have 6 copies of anti-animal 2 now. On the other hand, belle hates me. Earth 3 - 0. (Belle is now officially my most # of bosses killed. 2 weeks and nothing)

Confirmed:
Lv6 worth of Ice essence will convert a rapier to a night's stalker
Lv6 worth of Fire essence will convert a rapier to a fox's tooth
Lv4 worth of Anti-Animal will convert a rapier to a claymore
Thrusting weapon is a unique weapon type. In terms of fusion, it has different result than melee and dual-wield melee.

Also was correct on lv4 worth of anti. I think I now know the recipe for dual wield jade blades. (Either lv4 poison or lv4 anti-spirit)

Oh, here's my weapon for raping the headless count. Finally convert the katze Balgen to something I can use. *muhahahaha*

Here's a good sample of advanced slot expansion:
1R/2T [Agi 3] Rapiers + 2R/3T Rapiers = 1R/3T [Agi 3] Rapiers
1R/3T [Agi 3, 2x Anti-animal 1] + limb-fire 0R/2T [2x Anti-animal 1] = 1R/1T [Agi 3] Claymore

1R/1T [Acc 3] Automator + 1R/2T Automator = 1R/2T [Acc 3] Automator
1R/2T [Acc 3] Automator + accuracy essence = 1R/3T [Acc 3] Limbfire
1R/3T [Acc 3] Limbfire + 3R/4T [random 3 red essence] = 1R/4T [Acc 3] Limbfire

So, apparently I have a +20 3 slot clean automator, a +25 [Para 2] 3 slot automator, and now raising a new [Acc 3] Automator.
I classify myself as a begger for punishment.
Note: Maximum Upgrade is at +30. You are looking around 93000~96000 etc (Let's just say 100k) to upgrade from +0 to +30.

Not possible I am afraid. I got maybe 35%? of the common weapon recipe memorized, the rest are definitely not behaving the way I expected them to. Bonesaw for example, was definitely not Lv4 anti-undead as I thought it would be.

I made a post before on how the drawf works, and that explains just exactly how difficult it is to find an advanced recipe like Balze Galgen. Other than the item directory, which gives some hint that may or may not be right, you have literally nothing to base recipes off of, its complete trial and error. (requiring a gigantic stack of essences, at least you can store it in donation box and check out the result at the fire place) There are also a bunch of random recipes scattered across my posts in this thread.

What I do have written down is the basic recipes:
Basic Crafting (Lv1 Essence)
[2-Hand Sword] + Lv1 Strength = Longsword
[Dual-wield Sword] + Lv1 Accuracy = Short Sword
[Thrusting Sword] + Lv1 Agility = Rapiers
[Cannon] + Lv1 Stability = Longhorn
[Dual-wield Gun] + Lv1 Agility = Limb-fire

Since rapiers and limb-fire are quite popular (and also excellent in both performance and 4 full slots) its easier to just use those. At max slots, they are "perfect weapon" and can be crafted from any full slot thrusting sword/dual-wield guns.
Essences for 4 slot rapiers: Elem 3, Silver 1, Str 2, Str 1 [damage is based on 70% strength, 30% skill]
Essences for 4 slot limb-fire: Elem 3, Silver 1, Para 1, Stun 1, (or any other status effect essence) [damage is based on 40% skill]
Essences for 3 slot clothing: Skill 2, Skill 1, Hp 2 (or MDef 2)
Essences for 4 slot sailor-fuku: Skill 2, Skill 1, Agi 2, Agi 1 (Or use Hp 3 like Monceber)

This setup is the most efficient one. Gives you two pairs of divinity lv3 weapons, with elemental damage. 10% skill buff active at all time and rapiers gets extra damage boost from strength buff.
Silver gives 4 durability boost to your weapon, a much appreciated boost bringing rapiers to 22 dura and limb-fire to 28 dura.

Max-slot equipment is expensive given the requirements you've given. Although the fixed red essences are useful, I don't like the loss of flexibility and would much prefer doing extended dungeon runs to find the clean max-slot equipment I need.

Silver2 is probably limited to red-essence weapons/equipment in normal, perhaps they drop more easily in Makai mode (along with the other super-rare essences).

Max slotted limb-fire and rapiers are the easy ones. Since they can be converted from any max slot as I stated above. None of the essences I listed in your quote is a red essence though. Over-slotted equipment is the one that's expensive to acquire. Due to requiring specific red-essences. (Then again, they are really broken. Granite blade+19 has more raw damage than my burial +26 since granite damage is based on 150% strength)

Nothing about red-star essences I am afraid.

As for me, going to pay headless count a visit and get a 2nd ice 3 for burial (because too few mobs are weak to water/earth. I got granite for fire/earth, and water is kinda of pointless)
