Re: TPD Station Brilliance

"Aye. Was just discussing travel arrangements with the oddity of our merry band." Krell says, turning to face the Terran. "I'm somewhat lacking when it comes to travelling through space. Price of not owning your own ship, I suppose." he says, shrugging his shoulders and rolling the right one afterward, trying to get the padding beneath the suit of armor to move back into place. "Damned old battle-wagon. Can't find good armor these days." he says idly, a short growl following afterwards, his armor plate finally settling into position

"I find that very few of our 'merry band' wouldn't qualify as an oddity in some way." Caitlin responded with a chuckle. "Except perhaps you. Far as I'm aware, you're pretty typical of your race, no?" She asked the Pan Kor. "And perhaps our leader, but I didn't see enough of her to be sure."

Re: TPD Station Brilliance

"Ha! Most of my race are either too busy trying to kill each other or establish themselves as a political figure to the rest of the galaxy." Krell says, leaning back against the wall once again. "I personally prefer being able to live comfortably and fight for what I want to fight for. Plus, most folks don't know how strong we can get when we're pissed, so work's easy to get." he says, grinning and showing his large, flat teeth as he does so. "And what about you, little miss? You need a big strong Pan Kor to help you lift a house or two?" Krell asks in jest, trying to imitate a Terran flexing his muscles, and failing horribly at it due to his body's body structure and natural stance.

Re: TPD Station Brilliance

Annika tried her best not to raise a fuss as the others were talking. Last thing she needed was to piss off some alien behemoth and get her arm torn off or some stupid crap like that. Last thing she needed was another fake limb. Then again, most of the other Terrans showed some form of debilitation or another ranging from fake arms, to her fake hand to the doctors wheel chair. Seems no one was safe in this damned galaxy and the threat of war didn't help things at all. She had to do it for Noel's sake. When her turn at the scanner arrived, she placed her good hand (left hand) on the device and stated her name. "Annika Forester"

With all the red tape finally cut and clear, she stepped out to find the various crew members discussing travel arrangements or other subjects. Not really feeling the need to interject, she just made her way to her ship. The Edelweiss. Her pride and joy and the culminated effort of months worth of work. She admired her handy work for a few moments, before deciding to make a few adjustments prior to take off. She removed her hand and replaced it with a tool from her belt, wasting no time in getting to work. There was enough time left that she could make these last minute tweaks.

"I'm not sure about that." She replied with a chuckle. "I do have some difficulty maneuvering every so often, turning off the gravity generator works wonders for shifting things around on my ship. There's space for ya if you need a ride though. Not sure if there's a bed your size, but I suppose we could push a bunch together, I have spares." The scientist said. "Or could just bed you down on Albert, he has some suitably squishy spots."

Krell chuckles, not wanting to even think of what Albert was. Terrans had such strange pets. "Well, if you'll have me aboard, fine. Would prefer to be with a Terran than....Whatever this guy is. No offense, pal." he says, pointing a finger over at Draven. "As for beds, I'm perfectly fine sleeping standing up. Done it enough to be comfortable with it." he says, realizing he still hadn't visited the armory to get his weapon back. "Actually, I need to go see a man about my gun. You'd think these Terrans've never seen a Pan Kor Jackhammer before." At the mention of that, his grin fades, his face becoming much more serious because of it.

"I think she's a hard-ass, but with this group, she'd have to be," she linked her arm with Fletch's again, "So, you think you can fix my hunk of spare parts, or should I just junk her and get something else? Oh, and I meant what I said earlier, I'll get and fit Lemmy with a better prosthetic. If you want it, that is," she stammered to a stop, thinking she may have offended him in some way.

Draven nodded towards the Pan Korr.

"None taken. I get that a lot, we seem to make those who do actually meet us uncomfortable. Good luck with getting your weapon back, and if you change your mind, you know where to find me. Caitlin, I'll swing by in a bit."

On that note, the massive Ingrali casually walked off, heading for his own ship.

"I'll see you both in the hangar, then." Caitlin replied with a nod, letting the two larger people head off before starting as well, headed for her shuttle.

"Yeah, sure." Krell mutters, stalking off to find the armory, and in turn find his confiscated weapon. Of course, he COULD ask a random passer-by for directions, but he was a proud Pan Kor, and directions were for smaller creatures.

Re: TPD Station Brilliance

Actually, with a little help from the coloured lines on the floor and matching text on the walls, Krell could fairly easily find his way to the armoury. Once inside (probably struggling with the door once more), he'd find himself in front of a reinforced glass pane. Behind it, armed with a railgun carbine in case anybody gets rowdy, sat the Gunnery Sergeant. Before Krell could even say anything, he lifts his hand. "I know what YOU're here for," he said with a grin. "Only one set of heavy-duty weaponry around here." The soldier turned and picked up a locked trunk, grimacing at the weight. Placing it on a conveyor belt, the Pan Kor could pick it up after just a moment. "The suitcase's lock is hooked to a GPS chip. As soon as you're off the station, it will unlock. Standard procedure," he quickly added. "Nothing I can do about it."
---
Fletch turned his head towards Maria, a look of utter indignation on his face - though he did not mind her holding on to his arm. "What, junking that masterpiece of engineering? Just needs a little maintenance, 's all." He fell quiet for a moment as she pressed the issue of Lemmy's jaw. "I don't know," he finally said, uncertainty in his eyes. "The doc said it was a close call the last time. But yeah, sure," he finally decided. "If you have the time for it, give it a go. Would save me having to wipe up his drool all the time."

She blushed with pride when he complimented her ship and waved off the last Doc's words about Lemmy, "He'll be under stable conditions and in the care of the best doctor in the 'verse. If it doesn't look like I'll be able to do it when I get a closer look at him, if I'm not 100% certain... I won't risk him." As they came within sight of the hangar she groaned, "Ugh, now let's see if you can fix my pretty bucket of bolts, shall we?"

Re: TPD Station Brilliance

Fletch nodded slowly. "Thank you," he rumbled in a quiet voice. "The little runt means a lot to me. Eh, you little shit?" He reached down and scritched Lemmy behind the ears. "Who's my little shit? Yes you are, you stinking bag of drool. Yes you are!" Lemmy, ecstatic about the attention, bayed and jumped around the two of them, making a group of officers press against the wall to make room for his powerful frame. Fletch made a point out of not apologizing to them.

When they walked down the hangar to their ship, the flight crews cast them curious looks, but not more curious than those some of the alien ships got. Fletch walked a little slower, and he told himself it was to allow Maria to keep pace and not because he really liked the way she held on to his arm. But alas, they soon arrived at their slots. Fletch looked up at his ship, then down to her. "My ship's pretty cramped," he murmured. "Not really worth a tour."

Krell picks up the case after it had finished its trip, hefting it into his hands "Thank you much." he says flatly, giving a half-assed attempt for what he had witnessed many times as a salute to the Terran, before turning and grumbling as he puzzled his way out the door, before heading to the hanger with his case over his shoulder.

"If you say so," she shrugged, "Mine's cramped with stuff stuff and more stuff. I usually end up sleeping in my chair more often than not. Oh, and don't forget to send me those music files once you get back on board, yeah?" She grinned, "It'll drive my dad's old cook to distraction. So uh..." she craned he neck to look over at her ship, "You need anything from me or do you have everything you need to fix her?"

Re: TPD Station Brilliance

Fletch grinned as he gently untangled his arm from hers. "Phew," he said, theatrically wiping his brow as he stomped up the stairs to the door."That spares me hiding all the Telarin porn!" He paused for a moment, giving a very real shudder. "Okay no, that went too far. Could you head to your ship and fire up the diagnosis tool if you have one," he asked, turning around in the doorframe for a moment before heading into the shady interior of the Mighty Quinn. "Telarin porn, what the fuck is wrong with you?"

---

As Krell headed back towards the hangar to meet up with Caitlin, he could see the group of soldiers that initially escorted him to the meeting hanging around a vending machine, chatting and cracking jokes, occasionally trying to chat up one of the female soldiers and engineers passing by. For a human, walking past them would be an easy matter. Krell, on the other hand, might have it a bit harder.

Krell growls as he approaches the soldiers, exaggerating his footfalls as he stomps towards them, intending to shove his way past. "Wide load coming through." he says through gritted teeth, his left hand occupied with carrying his weapon crate as he uses his right arm to push some of the soldiers aside.

Re: TPD Station Brilliance

Caitlin made her way to the hanger with no real difficulty, heading over to her shuttle. The thing was a converted troop carrier, and as such the only entrance was the hatch in the back. She reached up to pull the lever that opened it, the ramp falling to her side with a resounding clang. She left it open after she entered, heading through the open space to the cockpit herself and opening a channel with her main ship, the Concordance. The only reply was a long string of reports and what appeared to be vitals, and she examined them carefully, still at it by the time either of her planned visitors arrived.

Maria burst into laughter, "Thank goodness! And I'll be glad I have time to hide all my Garik stuff from you!" She dashed off to her ship, still giggling. Once inside she fired up the comm and the diagnostic tool, "Alright, I'm dumber than a bag of hammers when it comes to this stuff, lead on, oh great one!"

Re: TPD Station Brilliance

After stopping by his ship to gather a few items, Draven headed off to find Caitlin's ship. It didn't take him long to find it, and when he did, he came part way up the ramp, knocking on the side of the ship's interior before calling out, "Anyone home?"
