If you get the "Connect" skill, you can view the stats of other NPCs. The NPC that looks like a hot looking elf girl has a lot of titles and "experiences".

I know you can view other character's stats, what I'd like to know are the titles that the player can get. Also, using connect I can't actually see the title menu, so i can only see the active title that the character has. "I love my dildo drug addicted archer" for the elf, if I remember correctly.

Hey there, long time lurker here.

I recently went about downloading the demo and, well, can't get the darn thing to start. Initially I thought it was because of the patches [another issue I'll get to shortly] so I removed them thinking they were the culprit but I kept getting the same problem.

I'll start the game, window will open and then <BAM> Windows bings me with a prompt with the nasty (X) symbol alongside text saying "RPGVX RTP [japanese textextextext]" with the only option being "OK".

I tried the "Run as administrator" on the exe as that seems to be what most games like this need to start but makes no difference. Any assistance on this would be great.

Now, about the patches.. do I just need to dl the latest 4 or all the prior patches too? Also [and I feel dumb for asking], the pic with the patch files misled me into thinking I simply had to put the patch files into the patch folder but I'm thinking there's more to it than that. Tried to open one and windows was all kinds of "I don't know what this is, do a online search to find out" to which that led to "unknown file". :S

Sooo... I combed through the first dozen pages of this thread to see what I could find and I'm thinking that this process is so rudimentary that it didn't warrant a step-by-step process, so now I feel like a real derp. Once again, any assistance would be great to help resolve this!

RPGVX RTP

Google this and install. You need it to run games made on RPG Maker VX.
Also better install any RPG Maker RTPs.

Think of it as Microsoft Office products minus backwards compatibility, newer ones are not always better than older ones and yet contain bits that make new things possible.

Long story short your need an RTP package, which is basically all the the shared files of game engine, for the version the game was made in.

You need to download only patches from the same blog post as the game you've downloaded (previous patches are already included in base download).
After starting the game, "installed" patches will be displayed (with sound) in top right corner of the screen - if all 4 are displayed, everything is ok.

Currently there are several versions of RPG Maker - 2000, 2003, XP, VX, VX Ace (at least those I remember) - every one of them has dedicated RTP, which in most cases is required to play games created in that version.

Not to mention there are separate RTP's for English and Japanese, at least for the three newest versions. I just counted in control panel and I've got 8 RPG Maker RTP's on my system.

IIRC, 2k and 2k3 were Japanese only (not sure about 2k3) so they have only Japanese RTP. I'm pretty sure that (at least most recent) RTP's for XP, VX and Ace are (language) universal - different language of installer (not sure of that), but contents are the same. They did this some time ago when RPG Maker gained some more popularity outside Japan.

I know there's separate .dll's and the English .dll won't display Japanese text, though the Japanese one will display English. I don't know if the installer installs both .dll's.

Most notable difference between using English and Japanese dll is language of built-in Options window (one called by F1 key). As for font display, it depends on game (RM version) and used font (also the way it's used).
I speak from my XP experience - don't know VXs that well to comment on that.
If game's script doesn't specify font to use, default font from dll is used. In English dll Arial is specified as default font - has no CJK glyphs, so squares are displayed instead. In Japanese dll, ＭＳ ゴシック is specified as default font, but in systems with non-japanese locale and/or regional language settings its other name (MS Gothic) is used - game cannot find ＭＳ ゴシック font, so nothing is displayed. Don't know who thought of using different name for Japanese and non-Japanese settings, but IMO he should be hanged, drowned and quartered , though it probably is easier to use by Japanese users. IIRC, "Seiren Harp" was made in XP, so you should know what I'm talking about (didn't followed your progress).
It seems that installer does install both English and Japanese versions of dlls - that's what I meant by "contents are the same".

So, here's a trick I haven't seen mentioned here. If you go to Meine's room, and undress Meine and use the throw command to throw your clothes (or have nothing but cum covered clothing) you can go around nude. I think you need to go through the items menu, not the equip to throw clothes.

How? I tried throwing away her gear but the game doesn't let me throw away the maiden gear.

Ah, I had lost that gear in the dungeon. Un-equip it, then get captured as a sex slave. If you escape the dungeon without picking it back up it'll show up in the dungeon saferoom shop. You might also be able to store it in the storage chest, I think I have the leotard part in the chest.

Or just make sure your gear is cum covered, but you have to make sure you don't clean it in the bathroom, or you'll have to put it on to leave.

I thought you couldn't use Analyse on her; you're talking about the one by the beginning forest dungeon with the flowers and fairies, right?

Analyse and connect are different skills. Analyse lets you see the stats of a nearby character, Connect lets you see the stats of the other female main characters no matter which map you're on.

I've used the connect skill, but I haven't been able to change the NPC's titles, I can only see the one they have equipped at the moment.
am I missing something?

That's odd. I took both Connect and Analyse, but only Analyse has showed up in activate skills menu. I assume Connect was a passive skill or something. What menu is it supposed to be accessed under?

Connect is a level 1 spell.
