in preparation for my H platformer and i found this pretty fun, just spent a couple of hours making this after doodling some animations instead of spriting


edit- added shooting, droid deployment (A key), limited jumping, couldnt figure out how to add a charging blaster so will probably go the castlevania route and have different sub weapons :) (easy enough to create, use a menu, change a specific event and that's what gets called when you use that key)

also fixed the sprite so now awkward white bits

oooh this is fun...must not overspam the particle effects they're fun

well now i know i can draw animation fairly well i may aswell make a H game from this yays...


still working out how to make rooms put you in the right place,

also for now you can get extra jumps off the drones (final game will only let you have a specific number of them though)



basic plot *that wont be mentioned in game to keep text to a minimum* - customised military grade gynoid is sent to deal with a perverse crime syndicate that want to subjugate women, but it turns out they themselves are part of a government brainwashing scheme, they've been experimenting on and with demons to create alternate brainwashing techniques...

features enemies such as perverts, slimes, hopefully a faun/pan, mass produced sex droid versions of the main character (object 0) with futa addition

some animations will stack up depending on the number of enemies



When designing i was considering what made kurovadis a good game because I want to live off my game making, solid gameplay is a given but the lack of text and exposition in his game made it very approachable to persons of any language, in my game there will be at least 3 environments, the streets where the perverts hunt, the factory that produces the sex droids and the secret facility below the city.



for weapon customisation I am considering an upgrade tree, but might just let the player choose between two upgrades at each machine when they have the currency to purchase them, the current gun functions on a hold the button system but there can only be a limited number on the screen at a time, you can purchase range which would extend the lifespan of each bullet, but you can also increase the total number of bullets on screen at a time (i'll cap it at roughly 10 because depending on whether you hit your target, even total 4 can use a constant stream as bullets destruct on collision.

other basic upgrades are upgrades to HP, Atk power and resistance


the justification for object 0's corruption is due to her dual nature as a droid originally built for sex, when experiencing pleasure she might accidentally reboot to factory settings, this is also why she can only struggle during sex, because her weapon modules shut down either due to the risk of hurting herself or because shs's flickering back and forth between her military persona and her sex droid settings :)

This looks good so far. I can't wait to see what becomes of this.
Also, in the first demo was the wall jump intentional? You can still stick to walls
so I don't know if I was planned or not.

Bugs (V2 demo);
If you walk to the left, the screen begins scrolling fast, as if you're falling infinitely. You can cancel though by just jumping to the right.
The Second room has a different resolution (smaller) and frame rate (faster).

the second room doesnt have a different resolution i just havent added the view yet :) (it does run faster though, i'll be changing the speed later)

i'm just tinkering til it works, atm i dunno how to stop the wall sticking :) but the removal of extra jumps renders it pointless, i might put in a wall slide ability instead, something like key press> check collision in direction of wall, check nothing below you, set gravity stick to the wall and change the sprite


do you like the trails so far?

That's a lot of particles and trippy blocks.
Pretty neat so far but the sprite is pretty blurry though?

Is it a downsized larger line drawing? Its always better to draw for the scale the sprites are going to be initially that way they can be enlarged witch is much better than the decrease. You don't even need to enlarge the sprites you make because you can just use the game camera view to show it larger scale or smaller.

you have done it! you made a H-platformer. well you have started to make one any way. if you keep at it your going to have a game that not only be good but bring in the moneys.

urine i'm not even sure these can be called sprites, it's just drawn with an airbrush at semi hard :) this is both less time consuming than my attempts at spriting and also looks better than my sprites lols, they're drawn in sai on a 100px canvas :) then scaled down a bit.

they'll never be Kyriery standard but hell, i think i can make a good game

looking forward to drawing her in her cannons blazing pose :)

game should have tentacle monsters, robots and anything else i can think of

:) i might also be working on my stealth based cat burglar H game with a friend who can actually sprite

Not bad. Not bad at all. :D Just watch out for the interaction with walls and stuff. I ended up falling off the map and the resolution changed somehow for one map... and, well, bugs xD.

This is really great though ^_^.

edit: haven't read thoroughly, you just didn't add the view. The game just goes crazy there xD

new map to test, just a self imposed challenge for you atm, try to get to the other side of the screen based on what you know from the other demo


z is jump, you can do a double jump (though sometimes you will need to stop or the game forgets to give you your bonus jump)
x is shoot and you can spam it as much as you want for now, plan on having multiple weapons later :)

you can also climb walls by tapping an arrow in the direction of it, this can get you out of sticky situations and save you from failure



the game might end up having this level of difficulty later on, and the knockback glitch might actually stay in the final game since it increases difficulty and I kind of like it, if anyone else has a method of shooting the player in a random direction i'll listen, atm the knockback stays until you move.


trying to come up with a plot that doesn't need in game text to explain :)
preferably one that involves a gang of people that subjugate women, that turns out to be funded by a government research lab ON MIND CONTROL, also they study demons :)

yup i'll go with that, lets me use human enemies, droids, monsters and demons :) that's a good mix

I got hit while under the first platform at the beginning, and while trying to go left I got stuck by an invisible wall (not the actual invisible that was already there.)
In the U-shaped pit, I got trapped and shot at. When I jumped out, she started running 2x faster.
Sometimes enemies or their bullets would get stuck inside the tiles.

i keep trying to make the move towards point thing make the person go away from the point but it always seems to knock you left (for knockback)

EDIT- HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA IF I CAN FIGURE OUT A WAY TO HAVE HER have a special animation for hitting a wall at this speed i'm keeping this version... now using the move free event, so getting hit can now blast you in the direction you're allready moving (or something...it might still blast you away) but its hillarious

currently trying to get the idle animation to only play when your on the floor, managed it once but it overode the run animation or stopped me moving at all...

also experimenting with bounce blocks :) and trying to get the knockback to function as intended

okay this is the last time im posting in here til i have a decent full on demo :)
i don't want to bore you with lot's of little updates

created as a result of my tinkering with particles :)
in the final game- the drops will send you to a game over room instead of restarting but there will be less drops, so the glitch where you retain your momentum should be fixed by then :) this will also fix the glitch where you respawn where you last escaped from a slime

That's looking great so far :) I'm loving your art style, and the gameplay feels solid so far. Keep up the good work! I can't wait to see more.

Personally, I think the game can do just fine without voices. The voices in Kurovadis barely played at all so I did't know she moaned and what-not until almost at the end of the game. Just make sure the other sfx are good and it should turn out great

i thought the damage noise and the defeat scream added to the emotion of it :)

also has anyone seen the profit tifatanX2 made? $44118usd ...fucking hell...it wasn't even that good a game
