Re: Eroico -Develouped by kyrieru-

Oh, and there's a reason platformers with enemies hidden off the screen positioned to knock you down died off in the 90s.
I can't say I found that part to be much of an issue personally. It is something that annoys me a lot in games, but I haven't really noticed it in this one.

cptkino: In my opinion, the first boss is a whole lot harder than the other two. As others mentionned though... The platforming part is much harder. Fighting-wise, just abuse block and you should be okay for the other two stages.

Regarding sales, well... English sales are always lower than the Japanese ones, but since you could buy the game for earlier and for cheaper on his site, odds are that it'll be even worse than usual. I actually loved Kurovadis so much that I had bought the version on his site and then I bought the DLSite version for the sole purpose of writing a review so that it gets more sale... I do enjoy Eroico but not exactly enough to buy it a second time for review purposes!

So if one of you does buy it from the english DLSite, do consider writing a review: It genuinely helps with sales, and good games like these deserve all the sales they can get!

You are not... going to excel in the 2nd and 3rd levels.
Nah, I got through the game okay despite getting stuck on the first level for a while. The style of the game just takes some getting used to. You don't even have to download the "nerfed" version of the second level, just prioritize not getting hit over reaching the next jump on that jumpy-lasery part and it should help a lot. Note that I'm not good at these games, i never got past the first few screens of "I Wanna Be the Guy" (although that one is another tier up in difficulty i guess)

Not sure if this has been said before but the "difficulty" is comparable to darksouls in both the good and the bad. The combat is very easy and straight forward but because blocking is directional, 2+ enemy types can easily take advantage of you (pun intended). It is also artificially extended like darksouls since the checkpoints are far apart and death sends you back a ways to just replay the same area. The game also has the BS parts that you will fail at the first time because you can't really react to it, you just fail and know that part is there for the next time like the spike rooms, enemies offscreen during platforming and learning what can't be blocked. The game also has the special attacks that encourage skillful playing, but you can get through most areas with just the basic attack.

It's not fake and it's not a puzzle. I too had problems there, I kept trying and eventually did it.
If you want, you can edit the save game yourself to skip that room, again this has already been
posted previously in the thread.
Where, I checked the thread and couldn't find it. A page number or a new link would be greatly appreciated. I just spent 3 hours trying to get past that room.

I beat the game on easy and it was very HARD! The Jump n´ Run elements are very difficult but I like it. Graphic and content are awsome.
@kyrieru
thumbs up, keep up the good work.

Re: Eroico -Develouped by kyrieru-

I've just finished Eroico. What can I say about it? It was short, shorter than Kurovadis. The battles were VERY hard for me (on normal), after changing it to easy, I survived. Almost everyone was cursing "The spinning spikes" from second level, and I've got to say that I went smoothly through it time after time. The (not so) secret to beating these particular obstacles is picking the right moment to begin jumping. I started when the spikes were at 2-3 o'clock. It really wasn't that hard. Avoiding certain enemies' attacks, now THAT is hard. Overall "Quality over Quantity", awesome game, even without the adult content. Definetely worth these 5$.

I keep seeing this said, but I don't agree. Kurovadis had so much wasted space that it only seems longer due to artificial reasons. If you treat Eroico's space as "used well" instead of "just existing," then Eroico is actually longer. Eroico forces you to function longer in the same space, instead of breezing through it like Kurovadis. I remember certain areas of Eroico distinctively, whereas Kuro is pretty much a blur, except for certain key areas.

Space is only worth having if it's used effectively. It's the difference between having houses in an RPG town with space in them, but nothing to them, and having one house for an NPC, whose house's character makes you remember it forever.

True enough, but to some, it's difficulty, infrequent save points, and spike segments could be seen as artificial length. I enjoyed the game very much, but i can see how some would breeze through it, while others would struggle.

can someone please post a full game link and save file, preferably not a torrent? or is this one of the ones that we're agreeing not to free-share?

The demo on Kyrieru's website contains the full game, but you need a dll to unlock the whole game. You won't find a link to it here, but I do believe someone is willing to drop the file via pm. Just lurking around the thread to see who it is.

Well, you'll never see DLC from me. Not unless it's free, anyway.

As for the last word on piracy, I'm not really concerned about it. If you want to pirate the game, go for it. If you think it's worth buying or you like the looks of whatever I'm developing, then just donate after the fact.
He isn't gonna be offended. At all.

And neither would I..

It seems this sequel has commanded a bit of respect, seeing as it was definitely harder to locate and pirate..

It probably won't be on any large scale forums/sites for another month or
so, so I'm sure he'll get plenty of buyers in the meantime.

*after having played the game*

WHAT?... That game was short and EVIL.. Unforgiving high-learning-curve jump zones and bountiful enemies
were the main course of the day apparently.. And those axe-lizards gave me nightmarish flash-backs of Legend of zelda 2...

(Having played/beaten that game was probably the training that allowed me to beat this game legit in the first place)

The rapes weren't very creative, 90% of them were vaginal, the lizard being the only BJ..

Damn, Kyrieru made a stinker this time, I should've paid attention to the thread and just plain avoided this one..

Anywho...

Just a few anti-virus tips for any would-be pirateers..

1. Know an ad from a DL button, check the status bar (if you have it enabled) while hovering the mouse over the button if you're unsure, and it'll display the link in plain sight for ya..

2. Google is your friend, but if you're too blunt you'll be led astray.
Be specific with your searches. Typing the name of the game usually
isn't good enough, trying "[Game] Hentai game" will usually only lead
to forum entries.. Typing "[Game] Hentai game download" is the best bet..
Never add "Free" or "Full version" to the search, since hackers/advertisers
have gotten wise to noobs spamming that, and have flooded the internet
with links that prey on those key-words, which will lead you astray and fool
you.

3. Watch out for ad-fly.. The entire purpose of that system is to trick
you into clicking an ad like a dope.. When you click an ad-fly link, keep
your eyes on the top right of the screen, never immediately click something
that looks like a download button. Make sure this becomes an instinctive reflex, as you may click an ad-fly link without knowing it one time.

4. Sometimes searching is a full-on.. Well.. Search.. When there are no
immediate signs of links, check all the viable links of forum entries and
other such site-posts, as there may be a link hidden in the pile of
conversation somewhere..

5. Know your pirate etiquette, only ask for a link on a forum or PM someone
as a LAST RESORT, if all methods have failed, or if the game is highly
restricted on the web.

6. Be patient.. Normally, an averagely-good game being released will take
from 2 weeks to 2 months before being openly distributed by pirates.
(Better games typically become available slower)
If you cannot obtain a link/DL immediately, just wait it out and let the
seas settle.. A link will appear eventually.. They always do...

If you follow these steps, you will be well on your way to being
a safe and wise pirateer.. May the seven seas of ads have mercy on
your hard drive.

There's a difference between the creator not being offended, and one's own belief that they don't want to do it.

Just because he says it's fine, doesn't mean those who bought it want to post the unlock anyway. I'm sure someone does though.

So...Maybe my sarcasm meter is broken but i'll ask a stupid question anyway.

Satire of the complaints people made or where you being serious?

For me, the game is quite difficult but so great. I die many times, there are too several enemies in your way. H-scenes are good but nothing special at all. now, I had finished the game. I love this game not because of H-content, due to the gameplay!

I am very interesting in the games developed by Kyrieru. Hope that the new game may be release in this year!

Yes,the game was made like that on purpose, just like the old Nintendo platformers,so you could say the game was made to be a Nintendo Difficulty game.

... Umm I'm just going to put this out there but am the only one who liked the H-Scenes in this game more than Kurovadis?

What kind of scenes did you guys expect anyway?
