To each their own, but I'm in agreement with Sporadicus on this one.
I found they Gamepad a little easier to use than keyboard.
Makes escaping from rape a hell of a lot easier.
Game's still hard, though. I like how it pushes the player to be their best.

Since playing (and actually beating the game... god, that took forever) Kurovadis, I've preferred Gamepad controls (trying to wall jump with the keyboard was next to impossible). Even while playing RPG Maker games. Or perhaps especially.

Anyway, though I prefer female leads (go figure) I am waiting to see what you do with this one. Kind of refreshing to play as a guy.

As I said, to each their own.

I use a full AT keyboard, and they keys tend to be a little loud sometimes. When someone's trying to sleep in the next room, you really don't want to make a lot of "clack clack clack DAMN" noises. I know on laptops they keys are quieter, but I use that for projects and work.

This game is easily becoming one of my favorites, really hits everything I love about H-content and Videogames as a whole. The music is whimsical, the main protagonist is really well designed, and I have absolutely 0 complaints regarding the art style. It's bright and beautiful and an example of a very rare moment where an H-game's gameplay rival's and perhaps surpasses the quality of it's H-content.

Bravo.

Throw this up on Kickstarter or Indiegogo (if this sort of content is allowed) and I'm there day 1.

I love how in the game over pics, well the 2 there are, he doesn't exactly look unhappy with his predicament. With the slime girl, he looks more embarrassed then anything. Nice add Kyrieru! A male lead who's not a raging horn dog.

Hell, i'd support this, just because i wouldn't need to go though paypal to pay for it; or at least that's my theory.

Why would he crowd-source? The game has already been funded through his sales of Kurovadis. It's an indie one-man game with no external expenses that he can't cover on his own. If it were a game that required him to buy an expensive setup, hire workers, and cover publishing costs, then maybe. But it's not, so it's just not necessary.

Kyrieru has been fighting to find hosting for files, since MediaFire went full retard. No new demos. Probably won't be a new demo. Release, unknown.

I think fapping is louder than a KB :p

Kyrieru, I'm asking my host, but worst case scenario, you might be able to use my webhost (Dreamhost) for hosting files if you'd like, I need to check Dreamhost TOS and bandwidth issues first though.

Re: Eroico -Develouped by kyrieru-

Well, I just finished playing the demo... Better late than never! Comments time! Do keep in mind that Kurovadis is my 2nd favorite H-game so it's an harsh thing to compare with.

- I like the colorful graphical style quite a bit, definitively more than the ultra-creepy Kurovadis atmosphere.

- I definitively prefer a female protagonist more: I personally play H games to try NOT to get caught (it makes the game overs that much more a thing to try hard to avoid), and a male protagonist just don't have the same effect... It's just personal preferences though, obviously.

- With that said, the Adult Content Off option was very welcome: Thanks for providing that!

- I enjoyed the light "puzzle" aspects of the game, the dash pads and rewarding exploration (although if upgrades carry over from stage to stage, that you can't ever backtrack and that you can't "catch up", I can that a player can massively shoot herself/himself in the foot badly if they miss a few of those upgrades).

- Difficulty's fine so far. I got a gameover about 8 times on Normal before completing the game... That's fine by my reconning. Very challenging, but not to the point that it starts to frustrate. It got much better once I started remembering that enemies don't get stunned at all on hit, and that I have to block after 2 swings on the kitties... So yeah, mostly player error fault. I did struggle in Kurovadis a bit more than this (on Normal) even in the early parts of the game.

- If I were to compare the fighting mechanics between Eroico and Kurovadis, I'd actually give the edge to Kurovadis for two main reasons:

1) Your main defense mechanism here is the shield block instead of the dodge roll. The shield block is a welcome addition and it's functional, but it doesn't carry the same thrill and "action" as the roll. Also, it's less instinctive: There's multiple attacks that look blockable and aren't, and the same in reverse while the roll followed a constant pattern: Melee you can, projective you can't.

2) You can jump on enemies' head in Kurovadis and you have a downward attack. There's plenty of situations where you have a small platform and there's a kitty waiting on the edge. You don't have space to jump there, the kitty's frozen in place and refuse to move a step away for you to at least be able to land on the ground... Especially annoying if you are out of magic. I know that it's a common design choice (One that fits the majority of platformers with weapons like the Castlevania games), but I found that a very pleasant change in Kurovadis.

- Overall, I'm definitively buying when it comes out. I consider Kurovadis to have been an outstanding purchase. While I doubt I'll enjoy Eroico as much as Kurovadis, it's still a very fun and pleasant game based from the demo. Looking foward to play the full version!

Re: Eroico -Develouped by kyrieru-

Well... After watching the demo playthrough on youtube and trying things out again, I guess I'll have to remove my "No downward attack" clause from my list. I didn't know that the down attack while in the air bounced you upward (I probably miss-timed the few times I tried doing that on my blind playthrough and just stopped using it), and I definitively didn't know about the downward dive. That certainly helps in making the "Enemies hugging the edge of platforms" problem less annoying.

Although, I have to say that the downward slash feels quite clumsy to perform: Down-Down-Attack while trying to steer in the air is definitively not easy to do. Maybe I just need more practice, though...

Re: Eroico -Develouped by kyrieru-

I like this game, it was very fun and I only died a couple of times. Once in the screen after the first checkpoint and a few times to the boss because I couldn't figure out a way to hit her without getting hit myself in her last form.
I think the difficulty is fine, every time I died I could tell that it was my fault for being careless. Kinda like what happens when I die in Monster Hunter or GodHand.
In fact, this is like a slightly easier version of Fortune Summoners. But this is just one level so I guess this game could take a very different direction from that one.
