It doesn't seem like anyone else is having this problem, or I'm just stupid.

After I DL the "botched" files from the first page's post, the 7 parts can't seem to properly link together when I open them with winrar... anyone know why?

Also, I would like a more explicit confirmation:

Since there's a "updater" called EA_updater2.exe, will patching the torrented file with this allow the patch to work with it?

Ah, this is a simple thing to fix - you need to set your language unicode settings to japanese. The missing/garbled text is because there aren't enough characters in English to put anything there, so the system just leaves it blank.

On another note, I'm kindof surprised to see you play the game in windows XP among all things. I would have thought that everyone had moved to Vista or Win7 by now.

That's weird that the CORE-FILES don't unzip for you. Perhaps you could try a different tool? I use 7zip.

As for "EA_updater2.exe", all it does is update any lower version of the game to ver 1.05 JAPANESE. It will work on the torrent.

As far as translation goes, I'll re-start it within the next few days. (Looks like the original devs have stopped releasing updates ... finally!)

No, it doesn't. So, just wait a while, and then myrubbish2001 will put up a new translation patch which will work with the updated game.

Or, go back to the previous release and then the (trial) english patch will work with your game.

@myrubbish2001: just looks like they're going to release a boxed version of the game. The cover art is the picture beside it. Up til now, it's only been released digitally, but it's probably sold well enough that they want to put it on shelves. Most of their attention is on completing their upcoming games right now, but they might still release a patch or two. I haven't been reading their comments lately, so I'm not sure if there are any major bugs affecting people or not. Seems pretty stable as it is.

there is some weird bug. it makes that you dont get the costumes.

you get the quest -> you solve it --> a green text with some kanjii(or what its called) appears, goes away and you dont HAVE the costume.

i tested it with the school uniform. in one save i have it (old save, before eng-patch) and it appears like it should. in another i tried to get it again for testint purpose, did the "quest" ( more like hentai scene), but did not have the uniform available.

and thats for all costumes you can get.

yep happened to me also with all the costumes. I dont know why its happening or how to fix it.

Simply put - if I translate some japanese to english in one part of the game and there are references to it in another section; they don't automatically get updated. So, that error pops up and the script itself is ignored.

I'll take full responsibility for this bug, but can you post a save file of your game? And give me instructions on how to reproduce the error?

Well i dont know... i just played game normaly and everytime i finished the quest and was supposed to get a costume that error pops out and i dont receive the costume.

I have this same problem. It's possible that the translation is bugging out with the new version of the game? I'll test it without the translation to see if that's it

I dont have the new version.

I downloaded from uploaded links and installed the patch. Then i started the game and everything was normal until i finished some quest and that error pops out and the game continues normally but you dont receive costumes.

Are you guys using v1.05? A few posts back said that 1.05 is incompatible with the translation.

Right now, I'm working on moving my earlier translation efforts to version 1.05 Within a week or so, I should have something more stable out.
