The result that the vampire guy got from his facial play was a bunch of silly and somewhat cute noises. After that, he got to have the discussion with his sister, though the remark about her form caused a bit of a frown on Cassandra's face. Surely she wasn't THAT fat. But the thoughts about her weight left the cleric soon as the master had another thing to ask from her. Since he asked for it, there was little she could do against it, even if the idea of parting with him appeared to go against her nature pretty strongly. After a few hours, the two of them were gone, and the busty girl was left to her own devices in the hut.

The hour passed away as Cassandra looked at the surroundings in a quite blank manner. By the time she was through, it was possible that she could remember the location in detail. Once it was done though, the girl got up and started to wander back into town as per instructed.

(This is where Cassandra and the others split. Should the others wish to continue, events will be explained as they play. But until they are, Cassandra won't meet with the inactive characters.)

Wondering back to town, Cassandra would find that there wouldn't be a warm reception for her. In fact, the town looked to be in ruins, as if a lethal force just moved through and decimated the town. Only a few corpses were strewn about, mostly armed guards on the defending side, but red skinned demons were seen here and there in lesser numbers as well. The pint sized fairy would be heard groaning from inside the 'barracks' which the group was recruited in. The plain rectangular building of brick with a few holes in it now, and the fairy trapped underneath some fallen support beams. If Cassandra sought to assist the fairy, she'd have to begin by healing her, as the beams would be too heavy to lift.

Should she choose to aid the fairy, then she'd be able to lift the beams off of herself. At which point, Cassandra may talk to her.

While she was back to being her usual positive self at the moment of departure, the signs that began to show that something was wrong in town began to wear that attitude down as she came closer to the place. And it proved to be an unfortunately correct hunch as the town had been reduced to a ruin in her absence. It appeared to have been a demon attack, judging from the dead people that the cleric saw as she sneaked about. While there appeared to be no-one left there, she did not want to get caught be a demon or three. "This is... not good at all." she thought as she made her way towards the place where she had met the others initially. They were not there, which was not all that much a surprise, but there was someone in need of a little aid. Quickly moving in to aid the trapped fairy, Cassandra would administer some healing to remove any danger of dying before she would get the collapsed supports out of the way, if not by her own physical strenght, then with the aid of some wooden planks and a little leverage. Once the situation was clear, she would ask the fairy some specifics about the attack and suggest finding a safe place for them.

The fairy was awoken, and with Cassandra helping, crawled out from underneath the beams. "Bastard demons invaded! I ain't never seen a town go so deep into shit since I witnessed a dysentery pandemic!" The fairy spat, limping off to a safer location, the fairy's own 'headquarters' away from town. "Fuck this place! We need answers and solutions, and you're the only soldier I've got so help me spirits! You're less reliable than my grandmother when she was still alive, and even now she puts up a better fight than you, but you're the only maggot I've got! So listen up, funbags!"

They'd reach the fairy's headquarters, a treehouse hidden surprisingly in a tree. The fairy climbed up the ladder with some effort. "Those cocksucker demons rode into this town demanding an amulet, the same one we're after, and they thought we had it! They must have mistook you and the other turds for competent soldiers. Joke's on them!" The fairy said with no hint of laughter in her voice, only abuse. She crawled up and into her little hidden base and plopped into a wooden chair. Cassandra was welcome as well to sit down. "Getting that fuckin' jewelry is out of the question now. I've got a new job for you. You're going to hunt down the fuckers who took us out, and get all the god damn information you can!" she snapped her orders at Cassandra. "I don't care if you kill em or suck their dicks! I WANT SOME FUCKING ANSWERS! Last I saw the bastards were heading this way from the town, keep going the way we came to get here, and find them! But get a good night's sleep first, princess! You look like SHIT!"

With that, the fairy would promptly pass out in the chair. There was a single bed for her to sleep in, and the merchant was standing quietly in the corner, staring at her.

There was no need to request info twice as the fairy burst into the usual spree of words that were not too pleasant as soon as she was able to. Somehow Cassandra wanted to drop the wood beams back onto her as soon as the verbal abuse began, but it would probably be wiser to keep her alive as she might know where there was a safe place for them to be in. It was a good decision, for there was a hidden tree house present that would have gone unnoticed in all likelihood if had been just Cassandra by herself.

After hearing what the fairy had to say, the cleric did not really hesitate and prepared herself for sleep. After giving the merchant a slight bow, she moved to take advantage of the only bed that was there and hopefully get some peaceful rest. She sure was needing it.

Anthony shrugged.

"Whatever it is, milady, I'm sure it can wait until after we've eaten. The town recommended this place, so in all likelihood, whatever odd enchantment on this food can't be that dangerous, surely? And it looks very good."

Anthony was trying desperately hard not to drool. It had been weeks since he'd left his father's house... and thusly, weeks since his last properly cooked meal. How the hell did peasants eat that black bread and their nasty stewed turnips and whatever else bland food and not go mad?! Even this merchant-class fare was looking good to him, now.

That guy who'd recommended this place had said wealthy merchants ate here all the time, right? Surely this enchantment would not fall on them, then - it would simply be something to enhance the place's atmosphere, and that impertinent woman had ruined it by alarming his Lady. Damnable wench.

Yes, surely, it would be fine, and his meal with the Lady would be a success - and if Milady Alexia found her time here distasteful, he would seek out this rathole's owner, strangle him, and burn this pretty building to it's foundations.

The merchant poofed away since he was not needed, and Cassandra got a chance to sleep. The next morning, the militant fairy was slapping down a rough breakfast of the fried flesh of some critter along with some brown eggs. It was about the level of edible as far as taste goes, hardly something to pay for, which was good that it was free. "Eat up! A healthy diet might make those fat bags of yours shrink! Then maybe you can run faster!" the fairy announced, before resting herself back down to recover from her wounds. "Get your ass moving!" the fairy demanded.

Anthony's black scottie began humping the leg of a well endowed woman outside. Other than that, the two were left to their table to eat properly, while ignoring the servant's request to be killed.

"I don't know...something just doesn't feel right." She just couldn't shake the feeling. It was something ominous and foreboding. Years as a mercenary did that to you. Always scanning the horizons for any sort of danger. Couldn't even sleep at night without making sure the room was safe. Some would call this paranoia. She called it security. Regardless, she would try to enjoy herself as best she could despite this situation. "Lets just make this quick and get out of here."

Anthony said, covering his mouth a moment with his fingertips to cough. Strange - had his voice sounded different a moment? "I'm sure that, were this place's strange airs dangerous to it's customers, it would not yet stand. If it would comfort you, though, please - allow me to sample my dinner first, and if you notice any strangeness, you may take action as necessary. I would offer to test Milady's as well, though... I hope Milady would not think it presumptuous of me to do so?"

Regardless of her answer, Anthony cut and brought a piece of his dinner up to his lips, trying to do so delicately... though, when he opened his mouth, a rivulet of drool accidentally traced it's way down his chin. He was hungry dammit.

After chewing the duck and (discreetly) wiping his chin, he swirled his wine around a moment before raising the glass and taking a sniff, before finally taking a sip.

In the morning, there was a welcome yet still slightly off-putting sight of breakfast in some form that Cassandra was unable to recognize upon just looking at it. Doing her best to ignore the ravings that were yelled at her, the girl ate her food and depart as soon as possible, certainly not getting any help from this loudmouth commander.

Cassandra would eat her breakfast, filling but unsatisfying, and would get on the road to following the invaders. They left a rather obvious trail in their wake, signs that they had taken unwilling prisoners. Given the direction they were heading, it was clear one of their destinations were Acheron, if it wasn't even their final destination. It was impossible to tell, though it's likely they were there to cash in on the slaves they acquired.

Perception = Success

Cassandra would find along the way that she was making steady progress. She was certainly getting closer to them, and only after a few days given that she was a whole night behind due to her rest. Up ahead, she'd sense those stealthy reptilian monsters the demons employ to ambush smaller threats. She'd likely run into those on her way to catching up. Alternatively, they're taking the long route no doubt due to the wagon tracks she'd see on the road. Cassandra could veer off and try to head them off, making great distance, but local talk she'd heard of in a tavern would suggest that such a shortcut was ill advised due to the presence of arachne. She could avoid the arachne and take a route far off the beaten track, though there likely lurks all manner of warped beasts in the woods who wouldn't mind pinning down a girl like Cassandra to rut her.

Anthony would take a bite of the food. Immediately, he'd notice that it was delicious. By the standards of food on the road, it was the best thing you could hope for. But by the standards of a noble, it was about average, which was likely why well-to-do merchants enjoyed this place. It's quality level was above that of garbage commoner food.

He also didn't show any effects after eating. He seemed perfectly fine, and felt as much as well.

Anthony waited a few moments, turning his attention self-ward to try and detect any abnormalities... but, nothing.

He looked at Alexia (trying not to stare at her chest), and shrugged. He didn't feel anything.


Also, it was okay. Still, he would have to find a proper chef sometime, with properly high-grade ingredients, to share a proper meal with his lady.

Once out and about, Cassandra easily found the trail to follow. Little had been done to cover the wake of the destruction, but the perpetrators most likely had not considered that someone might go after them once the village had been decimated. Still, it was only an inexperienced spirit user, so maybe it was not the best hunting party one could imagine. There was some information that she could use as a planning aid, having heard some useful tidbits from locals the other day, before she had gone off into her own adventure. After a bit of consideration, the cleric opted not to head into direct conflict with sneaky lizards who would have no problem manhandling her if given the opportunity to sneak up on her. While she was not sure it was the best idea, Cassandra opted to take herself around the lizards, but not too far away into whatever terrible places would be waiting there. Maybe the arachnids would be a lesser threat from the two options. Maybe.

And so, Cassandra went the path of the spider. It soon became quite fitting to call such a place a location where an arachne might live. It was very closed in, and left a lot of room for a sticky web to snare an unsuspecting large breasted spirit wielder like Cassandra. She'd first have to see if she could make it through without getting caught in one of said webs.

Perception = Success

Cassandra discovered a large cluster of webs. A good thing too, because those webs were so thick, it'd take forever trying to get out of them.

Perception 2 = Fail

She wasn't so lucky the second time. This time the webs were on a rocky floor as she passed through various trenches of rock, almost like a tunnel without a ceiling. First her foot got stuck, then she fell, and the rest of her was stuck too. Now on her back with her legs spread, she looked equally as in danger as she did sexy. The webs were incredibly sticky, and Cassandra was no body builder. She couldn't budge a muscle to immediately free herself. Faint skittering was heard as well. Likely, she wouldn't want to stay there long.

Going for her chosen .route, Cassandra soon found herself to be regretting it, but she did not venture away from the path regardless. "This doesn't look like such a good idea after all... But... Here we go..." she thought as she stepped towards the mess that was waiting to cling onto her. Somehow, she managed to avoid the initial hanging sheets of silk with some haphazard maneuvers that she somehow managed to pull off with her top-heavy physique. The movements left the cleric unaware for that fleeting moment, and she ended up stepping onto another patch and falling down into the worst possible position that someone like herself could end up in. "Great... Just great...." the girl thought as she acknowledged both the approaching enemy and how impossible her predicament was. Not having much in the way of options, Cassandra tried to wiggle herself into a somehow better position and maybe rid herself of the webs so she could make better of her escape attempt, though it looked to be a futile attempt. If she could make it out from this unscathed, it would be nothing short of a small miracle.

The arachne looked ready to do something in case Cassandra looked ready to attack, but didn't give too much indication as to what. "May I ask why such a lewd specimen such as yourself so carelessly stumbles into my territory? Have you come to slay me, or haphazardly pass through?"

There was no real trying to get away as the possible predator arrived into the scene faster than Cassandra had estimated, looking a bit less hostile than a predator would. The threat was real enough to make her stop at going for the removal of the webs, pretty much leaving speaking with the spider lady as the only option that the trapped wielder had if she wanted to get out without major hassle. Being called lewd only caused a frown, but Cassandra bit her lip and held any nasty words back. "I'm trying to pass through, yes, and I did do it in a haphazard manner. Not lewd, nor am I here to slay anyone. I am a healer."

Cassandra sighed as she felt like she was being played with. "That is pretty much it, yes. There were signs of alien creatures on the main path, so I tried to pass them through this alternate route." she shared her plans freely to this strange spider lady, not sure if it would be a bad or good move. So far, it was keeping her off from trouble. "Well... I used to have a group of others with me, but they are gone as I am not sure what happened to them after the attack on the village. I could use some help, for sure. My skills are not much use without others."

The arachne came closer, a somewhat dark grin on her face. "And I happen to need a recipient for my eggs. Quite a match for each other, we are~!" the arachne cheered. "Wouldn't you agree? All you have to do is make sweet love to a beautiful spider such as myself and you get the protection you're looking for! I envy how lucky you are~" the Arachne winked at Cassandra.
