Re: Zako Fight 1.00

this.

demo looks like an amateur fun style flash game made by LOK forums for free.
A lot of the "amateur" games on the LOK forums are far better than about 70% of the crap put on the Dlsite.

Re: Zako Fight 1.25 - Updated December 31st

So I caved in and bought the game just to try it out, and so far I've been a bit disappointed. So far I've only seen 2 animations per girl, and 1 enemy that endlessly respawns. Is there a level 2 in the works? More enemies? More animations? The game has the potential to be fun and fapworthy, but currently, it doesn't have enough.

I would keep silent... but I do like brawler genre of games. So short feedback from demo:

- art is bad. Main heroine on this kind of games should atract customer, but graphic is to bad.
- animations are stiff, need more dynamism
- lack of pain voices of main heroine
- game became boring after few min. Each round, do not increase difficulty. And on this type of games I would like to see heroine completly swarmed by enemies. Instead of this I got bored after make 1000+ combo on hard mode... Some similar free game had very fun feature - each turn max number of enemys got increased by 1.

Sorry, but before put game on sale. Better be sure if game can handle competition. And it does not look good near "queen's axe" or "Hunter's H".

I do not want discourage you from make games. Especially when I do love hentai style brawler/Beat 'em Down genre. But you should make some more work for it. Especially when you want take money for it.

@ DarkFall
Everything is in the works, this is just the games first update. Furthermore, each girl has more animations than just 2, and there does exist a boss in the game.

On a side note, I notice that this thread is the only one receiving one star ratings on the front page.(I guess that's cause it's not free?) Don't misunderstand, I think everybody is entitled to whatever criticisms they might have. But also, I'd like to request that if you bought the game and enjoyed it/have faith in the project, give it a thumbs up.

It's good for business. =)

I'd also like to point out that games like "Queens Axe" and "Hunter's H" cost around 18-20 dollars. :p

Have a little more faith than that, people aren't one-starring it because it isn't free. They are one starring it because they don't feel the quality/quantity of the content is perquisite to asking for a cash payment when so many people are releasing similar/superior content for free; and likely because it is burdened with a clearly troublesome, but ultimately ineffective DRM solution.

I say ineffective, because no matter how you look at it, its written in flash and flash can be accessed in memory, and then written out with the right software rig, as soon as someone who knows what they are doing actually WANTS your game cracked, it will be. In the meantime people who ACTUALLY GAVE YOU MONEY, are having trouble using your product. That's an instant no-buy for me. If it were a one time activation I might consider it, but every time? Its a bit silly for a five dollar product.

My advice if you want more money:
You wrote it in flash, that means embedded advertising is actually an option, then you can move away from trying to sell copies, and just start making money off self updating ads built into your startup screen, hell there may even be a sponsorship angle in the whole wrestling thing, I have no idea.
The other option would be to jack up your price to cover dlsites cut, sell it there and see about using their DRM. It is considerably less invasive than your own at present, at least in the forms I have seen, and dlsite is chock full of fools waiting to be parted from their money.

Re: Zako Fight 1.25 - Updated December 31st

I realize that people might just be referring to their perception of the quality/quantity when they one star it, I was more referring to the fact that its the only page.

I also realize that somebody can hack it as soon as they put their mind to it. That goes for any/all software though. Platform is somewhat irrelevant. We will try to make their task as arduous and difficult as possible though, so that if its worth taking the time to hack, its worth paying for. As far as the dlsite option goes, I've already said that their prices are a bit too ludicrous for me to invest in at the moment.

By model, it IS a one time activation btw. It's not built like you will have to continuously activate the program. The majority of people it works for, and we will help/have helped the ones who have issues. You might be on to something with advertisements though. I will consider it/look into my options.

Re: Zako Fight 1.25 - Updated December 31st

Activation issues aside, if I had to judge this solely off the demo it would not be a buy. The only h-content was her breathing with her shirt up, and I couldn't get them to do a cutaway grab while I was on the ground. While I do like the art style, from what I have seen, the animation is pretty lacking, either there is not much movement or things are real jumpy, as another poster described, stiff.

For the game itself, any difficulty would rely just on numbers. even if later enemies were more challenging I don't think it would play right as-is. It's a pure 2d beat-m-up so comparing it to others, imagine how like a double dragon or battletoads would play if your character took up 1/4th of the screen? For the actual combat itself I think it work actually work better having control the chibi-title screen version.

Going back to h-content, the censor gives no idea what position she is in, for all I know it could be changed than what she was in before the cutaway. To compare it to other h-artists: think of a zone flash with 0 of the options available, while i do understand those demos are usually about half the content, and I am not expecting that much, that being said I feel like what I have seen in the demo IS half of all the h-content. In any case, there should be more than just posing for an hentai game, unless you are marketing it as an ecchi game. Again if showing one of the animations is too much, then there really isn't enough content to make it worth buying, at least not yet.

Re: Zako Fight 1.25 - Updated December 31st

CAUTION! I downloaded the game demo and it tripped my virus protection software. I'm using ClamWin. I'm not entirely sure that ClamWin is responding to anything malicious; it's possible that its DRM is causing the problem.

Regardless, I wouldn't risk downloading it. I'm a big fan of crude porn. Hell, my favorite porn game is damn King of Porn City (although that one just perfectly plays to all my fetishes) and yet I did not like this game very much. It's much too crude, simple, and content-less.

If the creator has noble intentions then I would advise that he create a more finished product before selling the game. If the creator does not have noble intentions then I would advise he suck my fat dick whilst I beat his face with my balls of fury. ;)

Jeez, I need to tick "Remember Me" when I login.

Anywho, now that I've updated, the actual game has 6-8 times the content of the demo. I should update the demo, but I've been putting it off and I apologize for that.

Furthermore, we've been through this whole "malicious software" thing. There is NO virus, and furthermore if you've only downloaded the demo, there is no DRM.
