Make sure you're in japanese locale, download the RTP needed (In this case, VXAce),install it, re-download the game and try again.
A save won't do anything, the game will still crash when it reaches that audio file again, seeing as this is the second post you've made about audio problems in games I would say it's your rtp.

Did you extract the game with japanese locale? This case it seems that either the audio file is missing or was extracted without it's original alphabet, try looking at the audio folder and look if there are any files with the name on weird characters.

This game's levelling system is seriously broken!
I did the Tower of Babel on my first run after killing the dragon boss and moving on to the second town. I got that ring that gives you instant victory on enemies 10 levels below you. By the time I was at lv 25 I could easily go back to the 1st floor and wipe the enemies out in that way, yet still gain at least 25% of the XP required to level-up. It didn't get any better as I advanced. In less than 3hrs of starting the game I'm level 80+ with max stats (999) on everything, and still can beat the Lv40 enemies in this way and STILL sometimes get TWO levels on each battle!
I only shortly afterward realised the final boss of the game isn't there - but when I found him I killed him in 3 normal attacks =.=
Also, I chose to bring that "Zuul" summoned creature and trained him up as I went along. He hit Lv99 by the time I was Lv50+, and ALSO has max stats on EVERYTHING.
'tis a shame - I don't care for H-content in general but even that aside it's a game with much content. Now however being grossly overpowered I'm no longer offered the challenge I relished BEFORE I ended up in the second town! Shame....

Going further into the tower will give you the option of resetting your levels for your characters. This also includes the recruitable party members and your summons, but it costs 1 of the item highlighted in the attachment. You get 1 every time you beat the boss on the floor that allows you to reset levels.
You also get the option to reset your character's level after you beat the game, though I'm not sure if you can do that after beating the game once.

Thanks for the advice, but the JP for the item says something like "resets your level to 1, but preserves all your stats". Turns out when I used it at a floor in the tower that's exactly what happened! I suppose it would have been good if my charaters still had room for improvement, but having a Lv1 guy with 999 everything is just silly >.<

you can reset everything after beating the game by using those flames.
you can start over at lvl 1 200HP etc. if you wish.
its not like this game forces you to stay overpowered.
and i dont think the tower of babel has anything to do with the story. its just some kind of level cheat for lazy people imho.

I seem to come to a stand still on this game i have done the gang, the forest, the jungle and the castle with the two dragons and now i stuck iv spoke to the girl in the guild to no avail and i was trying to get with the bad brown dude but after the 4th event nothing happens and my 'lust stats' are quite high. any pointers or tips and advice would be much appreciated thanks.

Do the goblins that show up outside the first town area rape the character? mostly I have been screwing about in the slums attached to the first town, but recall those goblins using an attack that shredded the clothing of the main character.

jesus no wonder no one responded my spelling is atrocious and it doesnt make sense I apologize. Anyways i just wanted to know how to get that scene since I really have no clue.

Which scene, the update add 5 more scenes:
First, there's 3 prostitute scene:
First two require a permit which I believe you get from the prostitute ending in the hero route.
3rd one require waitress cloth, but also either getting the flag with blue hair or finished friendship route. Forgot which one exactly.
Then there's 2 extra scene in the friendship route.
Basically, after one of the boss in that route, the right side of the church will have quests appearing. One of them will have you talk to a knight girl in front of the castle.
Then you go to the left side of the church and there should be a sparkle in the corner of the room.
Lose in that dungeon and keep getting captured, eventually you'll be put outside.
Now go back in and to the right where that quest tag was, your friends should be there, talk to them (one for each) to get their scene (it's basically their 'final training' scene CG with cloth on)
