Re: Soul Searching (sturm) Gmed by ranger
Sara quirked an eyebrow at the rogue, Rikke's remarks. She seemed a decent enough sort, though clearly knew more than she was telling. Still, Sara could tell that she was good at heart and was inclined to believe what she said. "It's quite alright, we've had our share of difficulties as well."
When talk turned to Endus, Sara was pleasantly surprised to learn that Rikke had recently been there, and even more pleasantly surprised to learn that she was someone of some sort of importance, by her own testimony. Hopefully the note she had written would do the trick. She smiled gratefully, tucking into a pouch at her hip for safe keeping. The kind words she offered were also greatly appreciated. "Thank you, Rikke. I appreciate this, you are too kind. And working to save a loved one is a beautiful and noble endeavor to be sure." She gave the rogue a warm smile to emphasize her point. Still, the note made her positive the roguish woman knew far more than she was telling, but she decided to simply accept the act of kindness and move on.
Of course, since she had traveled from Endus, Sara had a couple of questions for Rikke so that she could get an idea of what they were travelling into. "I can't thank you enough for this note, however if you could tell me two more things I would be quite grateful. Can you tell me if there are any routes I should either avoid or take on my way to Endus? And what of the Silken Princess, what can I expect there? That's where Naomi, the nymph I'm after, currently resides."
Whatever Rikke's response, Sara was very appreciative. "I really can't thank you enough for your help. I have little to offer you but a warning. The path we came along," Sara pulled out her map and indicated where they had come from to Rikke, "there is a daemon fused to a mortal body. A woman with frozen blue skin who brings with her intense cold and an unmistakable feeling of pure evil. Even those without magical or spiritual talent can sense it. I urge you to avoid her at all costs. She is a magical being of incredible power and will drain your soul and kill you if given the chance." After she delivered her warning, she stowed away her map and bowed her head apologetically to Rikke. "I apologize that all I had to offer in return for your help is a warning. I hope it can at least prevent you from encountering the Ice Witch unprepared."
Once their conversation lulled, Sara realized that she had spoken with Rikke for quite awhile since her companions had gone off to bed. "I'm sorry to keep you up. As you said, you have had a long journey, it would be rude of me to keep you from resting with your companions." With a mischievous look, Sara brought the rogue's hand to her mouth and kissed the top of it with a wink. "I thank you again for your time Rikke, and I bid you safe travels." She released the orange-haired woman's hand and stood to return to her room. With a grin at the rogue, she added, "Well, I've got a feisty half-elf to go tame. Fortune smile upon you, Rikke!" With that, Sara would turn and leave to find her room. It was time to go see what she could do with Thelia since the woman had tricked her into paying for their room on her own.
