Morning came and with it Asha waking Sara up rather early. In fact it was so early that dawn had just begun to show. "Up and at em Sara we have a long road ahead and we should buy some supplies. Normally I wouldn't worry as I could forage for myself but with the extra mouth we might need a little extra." Asha was already in kit dark form fitting leather armor with black boots and a dark blue cape. A white colored longbow with intricate designs and numerous arrows in a large quiver. It seemed that Asha had a matching blade to the one Sara had seen earlier as both now hung off her hips in their scabbards.

Sara curled up against the beautiful nymph next to her, happily spooning with her and holding Asha's smooth arm across her chest as she drifted off into a sweet slumber.

The spirit wielder responded well when Asha woke her up, sitting upright and yawning as she stretched. She looked at Asha as she stood up, getting out of bed. The nymph cut quite the dashing figure in her tight leather outfit, dark cape, intricately detailed bow, and dual swords. She had definitely lucked out in terms of who she had picked up as a traveling companion. And speaking of...she was standing around in the nude, with a blush she decided she should probably get dressed.

She responded to Asha's suggestion as she pulled her underclothes on and donned her leather armor over it. "Hmm... Yes, doubtless a good idea Asha. Though...I regrettably only have twelve denarii to my name at the moment. I have no problems spending it on provisions, I have little use for such money, except for food and things with which to bolster my powers. But I am sure we should be able to get enough food to last awhile with it, and besides, I've spent time in the woods before. And I wouldn't mind learning how to forage from you if you wouldn't mind teaching me." Sara pulled her armor on and fastened it before securing her weapons, ready to move. "That and I'd be more than happy to teach you something I know in return, if I even know anything you don't know." She realized there was a chance Asha did actually know everything she could teach her, given her long lifespan. Oh well, the day was begun, time to gather supplies so they could go forth and get Naomi back!

Asha nodded at Sara noting her concerns. "No worries I will buy the extra supplies I have some Denari Ive saved and earned." Asha waited patently while Sara finished getting dressed and got ready. "Im thinking we will need a tent and some bedrolls to help keep us warm. With the weather changing and the fact that winters in Crollia can come on sudden and harsh. So we must be prepared."

With Sara getting her kit together her and Asha where off to a outfitters to buy the needed supplies. Reaching the shop Sara could see it was rather bare undoubtedly from the trade caravan prepping for their final run before winter shut them down. "Humm kind of sparse. Well we better take on a little extra here take a look around Ill get the tent and bedrolls. Can you think of anything else we might need?"

Sara nodded gratefully at Sara's offer of buying provisions, also agreeing that a tent and bedrolls were probably a good idea.

When they reached the depleted shop, she thought for a moment on what they might need. "Well I don't know about you, but the more energy potions I have, the better I can use my...abilities." She gave Asha a sidelong glance. "I can use my powers for a lot more than spying on people, after all." Thinking on what else they might need she said, "Well, we will need the rations, and what about our clothes? Do you think they will be able to keep us warm enough?" Whatever Asha's response was, Sara would move into the store and look around for energy potions, rations, and other items they might need.

After a short period of shopping both woman where ready to make their purchase. "Okay I got us some rations that should last about 3 weeks which we will augment buy foraging. Thankfully they had a tent and bedrolls left so we have those as well." Asha stopped a moment to look over some of the loot. "Oh I found a set of winter cloths for you and two energy potions. Was their anything else you wanted to get?"

Sara smiled gratefully, saying, "I can't think of anything else we will need. Thank you, I owe you." She figured the two of them were ready to check out and hit the road.

There gear sorted and packed the duo headed out of the gates. "Now if I remember right Endus is a fairly large trading city so eventually this road would lead us to one that heads that way. But I think that will to much time and lead us far out of the way. I say we head as the crow flies cutting across country till we find a road that leads us there or at lest one that doesn't take us to far out of the way. What do you think?"

Asha of course waited for Sara's response before determining which way to go. If she was in agreement with her then the two would set out making good uneventful time (unless Sara wanted to chat) till about noon where Asha would call a halt for a break and meal. It Sara suggested the road she would get a frown from Asha but the Nymph would comply and they would head down the road for a while dodging oxen poo and other nasty leavings of large animals. Giving them free time to speak and maybe chat with any of the traders they passed.

Sara shrugged, "As the crow flies sounds fine to me, always up for more time in the woods myself."

While the pair was cutting through the woods, Sara's thoughts drifted, eventually finding their way back to the night prior, prompting a question from the young wielder when they stopped for lunch. "So about last night... What happened exactly? You're pretty, and your voice is pretty, but I wasn't planning on getting so...intimately close that night. And it's like I didn't even realize what I was doing. Was that you, or do I just need to start taking a cold shower before bed?" It wasn't any sort of accusing or sarcastic question, there was an air of genuine curiosity in Sara's voice.

"Humm... Oh." Its something all Nymphs can do. I used to sing Naomi to sleep with it." Asha smiled briefly "Naomi's father called it a sirens song." Asha sighed wistfully before packing up her stuff again. Once that was completed she sat back down on the grass in the little clearing. "Tell me Sara what brings you out this way? I never did ask and I feel kind of bad for not asking sooner."

When Asha finished her explanation of Siren's song and began packing up, Sara remarked, "Well I really enjoyed it, it was so relaxing and you have a very pretty voice. I'd love to hear you sing some time if you're ever in the mood. And if I can ever return the favor to help you relax sometime, just tell me. I'm afraid I'm not a very talented singer though." The way Asha mentioned Naomi made her also wonder if her request the night before had something to do with her daughter, though she held her question so she could answer the nymph's question. She had also caught the sad look when she mentioned Naomi's father, who she knew from reading her memories had died sometime before Naomi had been abducted, possibly dying prematurely. She decided to leave that alone and answered Asha's question.

"Don't worry about it Asha, you have a lot more on your mind than worrying about what I'm doing. But since you ask, I'm on my village's coming of age. My village is called Vokan, and basically I am supposed to go out into and either learn or acquire something that will truly benefit the village. New spirit powers are especially prized. I've actually only just started out on my journey, I'm glad I ran into you. Oh and before you ask, we aren't all purple, I am just a little um...changed from an ah...encounter with a nymph I had before my journey officially began." She laughed a little, lounging in the grass and recounting how she'd saved the Nyeri from slavers and how surprised her fellow villagers had been when she'd returned from her excursion purple. She didn't elaborate on the specific activities she and Nyeri had engaged in that resulted in her transformation, but she was fairly certain Asha would have and idea.

After answering any other questions or comments Asha had she would look at the nymph and ask, "So you said you used to sing Naomi to sleep. It didn't really make sense to me last night when you asked to hold me, I wasn't lying when I told you that no one has asked to hold me, no one has ever just wanted to lie in bed and hold me before. So is that something to do with Naomi as well?" She looked at Asha gently, the woman clearly had a very strong motherly instinct.

Asha looked at Sara as she spoke politely keeping quiet for the durations of her explanation. The only change in expression was a slight raise of one of her eyebrows when she mentioned that a nymph had caused her transformation. When Sara asked her question Asha looked up at the sky before she answered. "Yes it did though I find it surprising no one has asked you to do that before. Who could resist such a pretty young woman?

Sara was about to follow up on her earlier question, curious to the specifics of why Asha wanted to hold her, however what the nymph said after put a stop to that. "Umm, well ah you see, umm..." She was starting to blush. "When I'm not under a nymph's spell..." She shot a mock-accusing look at Asha before she went back to blushing in a very embarrassed way, "I'm ah... rather shy, and well, okay maybe some people did ask, but they were just guys, and well I'm...I'm..." She was very clearly struggling to get this next part out. "Well...I.... Don't like guys... And of course girls don't ask me." And there it was. She had never really felt attracted to men, rather she was always drawn towards the fairer sex. Of course she had never told anybody else this, she had been afraid of what they would think.

"Oh? I see. I forget that mortals can have such limited views of love. Don't worry Sara Im sure you'll find a girl that feels the same. Most of my kin care less man, woman, both and Ive had my adventures with the same sex though that has been awhile. The look on the Angel's face was priceless when I first kissed her." Asha smiled to herself a slight chuckle under her breath. "Anyway we should get moving again unless we want to stay here for the night." Asha rose to her feet and extended her hand to Sara.

Sara smiled, taking heart from Asha's encouraging words. With a light laugh she accepted Asha's hand to help her up, saying, "An angel huh? We should all be so lucky! Well, I'm with you, let's get a move on."

"She was a prude anyway but we parted on good terms and with less cloths than we met in." Asha winked at Sara before finding her direction again and headed off. After awhile however both her and Sara felt as if they where being watched. "We are being followed but a group of men." Indeed Sara could feel it to her spiritual attunment letting her know that other energies where present.

Sara giggled lightly at Asha's remarks about her time with the angel. "Oh my, sounds like it was a fun time indeed!"

After awhile, Sara felt a prickling on the back of her neck, as though she was being watched, and she detected the presence of other energies nearby. "I sense them too..." She knew that the likelihood of running into another group going the same way as them was low since they were just blazing a path straight through the woods. That meant told her that this probably wasn't a coincidence, so she didn't want to take any chances.

"Should we turn and confront them? I'd rather not wait for them to attack us." Regardless, she began to empower Asha, and if she had time before coming into contact with the group of men the she would buff herself as well, preparing for possible conflict.

"I so hate face to face fights always so messy and brutal." Asha looked to the tree line briefly and smiled. "Come on Sara time to turn the tables on our trackers." With that said Asha bounded up into a nearby tree offering a hand to Sara.

Sara grinned wryly at Asha and accepted the offered hand, saying, "Glad one of us is an acrobat, this does seem like a better idea."

Once up in the tree, she would try to spot their pursuers, while also buffing her nymph friend. Then she would get ready for a fight.

Asha pulled Sara up into the tree her lithe form surprisingly strong. "Follow my steps and you should be alright." That said Asha began to climb making sure that she chose the sturdiest branches for her and Sara to stop on. At this level the forest became a maze of branches and color. Birds and squirrels lept from branch to branch showing all kinds of movement that was hidden from them on the ground. Asha smiled at Sara and put a finger to her lips to indicate silence. Which was fine Sara had plenty to do that did not require words. As soon as she had spent her energy Sara felt Asha place a hand on her breasts and gently push her back against the main trunk. Her ears where twitching as if hearing something distance. It looked like Sara had a little more time to due some more if she wanted to.

Sara managed to follow Asha through the tree, very grateful for her assistance. When the put a hand on her breast and pushed her against the trunk, she arched an eyebrow, but decided now wasn't the time to get flirty. It seemed she heard something, so she began preparing to use another power. This time it was going to be telepathy. She planned to dominate the mind of one of whatever was following them.

Telepathy (dominate): pays 8 EP and must win a Resistance check against the targeted creature. If the character wins, the targeted creature gains the Dominated status, allowing the character to control their actions as if they were a summoned minion. Forcing the creature to make actions contrary to what it would normally do or that would harm them can cause it to make another Resistance check against the character, and if they win they throw off the effect.
