RPG Maker has hurt hentai game making extensively.

Some Rpgmaker games ain't good, but to say RPGmaker has hurt H-gaming as a result is just like saying FLASH has hurt H-gaming because you found some half-assed or shitty flash games, or saying ANIMATION has hurt h-movies because you found some terribly animated or boring or shitty h-movies.

The medium can be used to produce fappable and therefore worthwhile products, even if it often isn't.

Denying that really just makes no sense at all.

the most hilarous h-movies i saw was one where th character was stretching,they just had random scale them in after effect or flash and it was so shitty that i couldnt help but laughing...
just saying,but yes there is also shame that shouldnt exist because they are done half assed just for makin fast money...

Yeah I'm more into gameplay than H in H games usually For me this feels like an animation viewer. RPG maker games are usually pretty sub-par but I have found some amazing ones that I've played for over 20 hours. I know a lot of people would rather just enjoy the H quickly and that works well in these games.

Seeing people just ask for full saves of really amazing games makes me sad though. Like there isn't enough porn all over the internet, there are people who download sweet games just for the 5% of it that's H. To each their own.

I'd go one step further, and I know that some people will disagree vehemently.

RPG Maker has hurt hentai game making extensively. I can understand low-mid end game creators appreciating the ease and simplicity of RPG Maker, but the outcome of those games is rarely even worth the effort for any but the most story-driven gamers. In short, time that could be spent making original games with some potential is almost entirely wasted on the RPG Maker platform.

I think alot of people like the "story" (heh dont know what else to call it) element alot, but I agree with you... video games are suposed to be more than pretty pictures and text.

for me the coolest sex games are those where sex is an actual mechanic of gameplay, as in they are in game animations/events that happen as you naturally play the game, be it combat or story choices.
for example games that have combat moves with sexual attacks/initiations/strips/etc or games where you have sexual expertise/moves to develop to have the upper hand sexually against your opponents or story characters.

so far in that regard the coolest was illusion's Yusha, where you have to fight heroines that are initially stronger than you, but you can hold them off during sex, by taking charge during hentai events (by exciting them or using special abilities to hold your orgasm until they have theirs, or bind them etc) as you level up and increasingly become sexually dominating.

close second are simply games with good artwork and animations with in game sex, much like ror games (shinobi girl being top of the lists)
visual novels work, if there are actual story choices and at least decent hentai animations.

games that are pixelated, have no in-game hentai, and have no animated hentai scenes are pretty much a no-no for me, so all rpgmaker games fit into that category :<

I certainly agree. Every time I see an RPG Maker game with a huge, dramatic name like, "THE CHRONICLES OF TA'AL-KRAUNG: CHAPTER III", I roll my eyes at the thought of how much time was put into its development and how few people will ever see any of it.

And then you look at the 1000 downloads on the Japanese dlsite and say "huh?" That's what I like about those guys. They don't discriminate and aren't super picky. They just play the games that people put tons of time into, that's why their top 10 is always changing. Then you look at the English dlsite and you still see the Kasumi flash and that boy-on-boy bird dating sim dominating the charts...

You definately can't say ALL. Vitamin Quest doesn't go into that category and unless I'm missing what you mean by "in-game hentai," all rpgmaker games with BF don't go into that category either. And then there's Violated Heroine..

all that I tried so far...
by in-game hentai I mean hentai that happens during the game not outside of it (for example game overs/wins only).

what rpgmaker games have animated hentai? or are not pixelated+pictures? I didnt try violated heroine because it simply looked like every other rpgmaker game I had tried so far, does it have any of the good characteristic I mentioned instead of the bad ones?

edit: tried violated heroine... it pretty much fits into the category of pixelated+pictures like every other, it has minor sprite sex on the pixelated part... hardly something that would turn the game from the usual turn-offs for me, gameplay is cool tho.

I don't have anything to really say about the thread's topic, other than, 'yay, hentai' - and I don't really have much concern over why having a more varied list of favourites in one dlsite makes it superior to the other. But I fairly well need to say this much; whoever tagged Hatoful Boyfriend as yaoi on the English DL site is being wildly inaccurate. The main character is a girl after a boyfriend; yaoi in the game would be pretty counter-productive to that goal. At no point in the game does a single boy-on-boy romantic or sexual relationship exist.

Checked the blog out today. Apparently the next ver is delayed due to KoooN having some sort of exam (don't ask, just following what google translate told me) and VO's being recorded.

He has updated Shinobi Girl. 5 new game over scenes which you can see small previews of in the image on his blog, as well as some tweaks to the gallery. He says he was going to add more monsters, but it appears he didn't want to take the time. The updated version isn't up on DLsite yet. I downloaded it to see if DLsite was behind in its info, but it's not.

No news on Witch Girl though. I'm going to go with the assumption that he is still working on it, though we are past the deadline he set for himself, which is fine. I'll wait.

I'm beginning to wonder if Koooon intended the update to be next Monday, cuz it's already 2 days after the apparent release date. Either that or he's (she's?) stuck running on Valve time.
I understand Koooon's been pretty busy lately, but hopefully the full release of Witch Girl hasn't been pushed back too much because of it.
