Re: Mino (Prinny #471)

Gestalt waved his hand dismissively. "Nope! One o yer friends? Sometimes the gate drops people seperately." He said, not thinking it strange in the slightest as Mino was suddenly greeted to a massive plate of what could only be slow roasted Venison, an entire side of it, and a huge tankard of Ale. "I watered down your Ale with Cider Lass, Sarah said you weren't much o a drinker, and I know from experience that it tastes lovely. So please, dig in, there's plenty to go around."

This time, they were eating in the kitchen at their own table while Gestalt busied himself with other costumers out front, giving Shy Mino a short respite from the throng of people. It seemed Gestalt was very well liked and respected, and given how kind he had been, it was no surprise. Not once had he asked for anything in return for any of his help.

It seemed like he didnt know who this person was, it left Mino even more curious about who Gabrielle was now, she was treated to another feast for lunch, already finding Sarah at the table, smiling she hugged her and gave her a kiss on the cheek as she sat down to, once again, devour her lunch in the quickest time possible, she was slightly taken aback that Sarah said she couldnt hold her drink however.

Re: Mino (Prinny #471)

Sarah, grinning, decided to explain herself about the ale quickly. "It's not that I think you can't, its just I'm sure being hungover for a carriage ride, a long one at that, would probably be bad. Mine is watered down as well." She said smiling.

The food was delicious, and Mino felt so much better after destroying her food like an animal. The Ale was even more so, the tang of the Ale mixed with the natural sweetness of the cider a new and enjoyable flavour that complimented the meat very well indeed. Albion seemed to be a place of plenty with it's own risks and dangers in equal measure. After lunch was finished, Gestalt returned with two small bags of coin. Setting them down, he opened Sarah's and spread it out on the table. "Alright lassies, here we are. Thar be 5 silver to one gold, despite the names of different coins, we dwarves control the flow, so the ratio be the same everywhere. 1 gold will buy you a comfortable day at an inn, with food to match, should give you an idea of it's worth. And fer your help, and because I like ye, I gave ye each 5 gold, and 20 Silver. That's two days worth o hard work, and I was honestly impressed. Ye lasses will do well here if ye be honest and upright folk."

Re: Mino (Prinny #471)

Gestalt pointed to an odd clockwork device in the corner, square and with a kind of dripping oil in a clear crystal. Checking the level on the oil, he said "Be 2 hours passed high noon it seems, and as for your coin, whatever ye can afford I suppose. Most things made o metal are sold by weight, as it's only fair, although weight in gold is high indeed. Weapons Armour, and other such things, bein difficult to make will usually cost about 1 gold, magic is more expensive, rangin anywhere between 5 and 100, and I've already explained the livin expenses. So you're both well off indeed to start, I really can't thank ye enough for the help."

Nodding, Mino stood up and thanked Gestalt again before leaving with Sarah to the town once more, where she took a look around for whatever stores and services were available.

Re: Mino (Prinny #471)

Gestalt hugged both girls fiercly. "No ye girls take care o yerselves alright? Yer always welcome here." he said quietly tearing up for a moment before regaining his composure and shooing them out. On their way out of the inn, Hecate noticed a picture hanging on the wall, hand painted with painstaking care, of A younger Gestalt, and his two daughters. The brass engraving below the frame reading, "In loving Memory of Sheren and Ruby, your father will never forget you"

It was a heartrending moment for the two girls, and Sarah looked back for a moment before hugging Mino and they headed out. Outside, the marketplace was a sprawling affair, offering services of all kinds from new clothing to armour and weapons, even a few spellbooks, and of course, food and trinkets, including jewelry of exquisite quality.

Re: Mino (Prinny #471)

On her way out, Mino could see that Gestalt was a father once, perhaps that is why he likes herself and Sarah so much, they remind him of them, sighing in sadness and wiping a tear away from the heart string tugging picture, Mino left and had a look around, a veritable market place had several things on offer, curious she walked to the first stall that had spell books on offer, interested in what she could get for Sarah.

Re: Mino (Prinny #471)

Sarah followed Mino and sniffed around curiously, her tail wagging lazily as she saw that Mino had looked down at a set of spell books. The man at the stall didn't say anything, simply assuming that anyone looking had the talent and would know what they wanted when they saw it. Several spells were available, but only two were affordable. One was actually a scroll, not a book, with a language that although Sarah had no idea, Mino could actually read that said Vanish.

The other of course was a book, that looked older then Gestalt, that read Flare. The book itself was covered in a motif of swirling red flames, and left little to guess as to what the spell did. Both were marked at 4g. Sarah, wagging her tail, was kind of awestruck, but was waiting for Mino to make a decision before speaking herself.

Looking at the ones available, Mino could either get Vanish or Flare, she was most interested in Flare since it would give Sarah some form of ranged magic in case she couldnt get close, Mino looked at the owner of the stall and said "F-Flare please." meekly producing the four gold pieces that were required for the purchase of the spell book.

Re: Mino (Prinny #471)

The man took the coin without a word and motioned for her to take the book. This was apparently normal, and mages were apparently quiet. Sarah, looking curious, finally spoke up. "Do you need more magic Mino?" She asked curiously, not catching on quickly at all.

Taking the book, Mino nodded to the Mage and said "T-Thanks..." before walking away from the stall, reading the book she looked at Sarah and said "I-Its for you, s-so if you cant a-attack physically y-you can use ranged m-magic!", explaining her purchase to Sarah and smiling.

Re: Mino (Prinny #471)

Sarah looked a little confused, before taking the book. "Thank you Mino" She said, opening it up. The book seemed to have some kind of ward on it that Sarah couldn't read, but that Mino instinctively knew was to be activated by someone else with magic, Only then could Sarah read it. Doing just that, which was as simple as pouring a little of her own strength into it, Sarah began reading as they walked. The book itself was unnatural, and Mino could feel the knowledge forcibly burning itself into Sarah's mind. Only 15 minutes later, Sarah closed the book, which promptly turned into dust, having been used, the ashes floating away. "I got it now, thank you again" She said smiling.

After around 15 mintues or so of letting Sarah read the book Mino bought her, she finished and the book turned to dust, smiling Mino kissed Sarah on her forehead and looked at the stall for weapons available.

Re: Mino (Prinny #471)

The stall for weapons was rather impressive actually, and Sarah blushed and wagged her tail at being kissed, licking Mino on the cheek and giggling. The weapons on sale ranged all the way from small punch blades to full sized scythes specifically modified for battle with long tapering blades and superb balance. Each weapon, although simple all the way to insanely complex, was made of incredibly high quality metal, and although expensive at times, there was no doubt in her mind that each was worth it's price as a Dwarf was the one selling, and Gestalt had assured her that Dwarves regulated currency by weight.

She noticed they could afford most everything from the smaller knives to some of the longswords on sale, but that the larger weapons, which of course were heavier, were no beyond her own coin, but could probably be afford by Sarah, the book having drained a large amount of Mino's personal coin. Sniffing at the metal, Sarah showed the most interest in some of the shorter swords, heavy razor sharp affairs with good handles. Although most were made of silver, there were others made of a strange grey metal that shone with soft colours that were hard to describe, although these were far beyond anything to two could currently afford.

Looking at the weapons on offer, Mino was almost astounded with all the weapons available, yawning, she looked at the shorter swords, looking at Sarah she asked "Which one do you want? It has to be one we can afford though." Mino told Sarah, this would be good because she could just give the dwarves back the knife they had on loan and Sarah still had that strange knife they found outside the forest.

Re: Mino (Prinny #471)

Sarah looked at Mino, and fished out her own purse, pointing to a short, but sturdy looking weapon that proved to be almost impossibly sharp. The dwarf nodded and handed her a belt and a scabard before showing her how to use it. Surprisingly, it was what was known as a Dwarven Holster Mino was told, which meant it strapped across one shoulder across Sarah's back, with the handle of the weapon pointing down. Although odd, this kept the weapon well out of the way, and easily reachable. The balance of the sword itself was impressive as well, and after a few experimental motions, Sarah was proficient at drawing and reholstering the weapon with ease. Handing the Dwarf three gold, and thanking him with a short bow, Sarah wagged her tail and looked at Mino. "Now we can take that knife back to Gestalt!" She said happily, wanting to do right by the kind man.

Nodding, Mino returned to the inn with Sarah just to have a break for a bit, she looked for Gestalt first, if she found him she would say "H-Hi, we`re here to g-give the k-knife back, Sarah g-got her own shortsword f-from the market" shakily and wait for Sarah to give the dwarven made knife back to him.

Re: Mino (Prinny #471)

Gestalt was easily found, and upon recieving the blade, he smiled and nodded. Pointing out a small smudge on the blade, he looked at them. "I see it did it's job well, I'm glad you're alright." He said simply. It was now about 5 o clock in the evening according to the odd clock. "Dinner is soon lassies, and then I think an early night would be best, ye have a long trip tomorrow."

Re: Mino (Prinny #471)

It seemed like dinner was soon, so for now Mino was content with staying in the inn with Sarah for a bit, yawning she nodded and took Sarah upstairs to their room again, collapsing on the bed and tired "I wonder w-what the capitols like...." she wondered out loud.
