Exploding her body in powerful spikes, it was all she needed in order to defeat the vampire, scattering blood across the wound, the vampire didnt even give out a sound of defeat as her body slumped lifelessly in Hectates iron maiden like spike attack.

Hecate cleaned up the mess, her face a mask of rage as she dissolved the body and cleaned up the blood the same way. When Zenia had been attacked and Hecate hadn't been sure she could protect her, she had lost it. She was surprised at herself, having moved to the option of killing the vampire so quickly. Everything else had been pretty straightforward in it's desires, however perverted they were, but the vampire had actually scared her and she had reacted in a way that seemed extreme, even to her. After the mess was taken care of, Hecate slumped nearby Zenia in a puddle, looking very unhappy with herself, hoping she hadn't scared her friend, because she had certainly scared herself...

Zenia was too busy hiding behind her sheet to notice, peeking out from it, Zenia asked "I-Is she gone...?", she didnt seem to know Hectate had killed her...apart from the fact Hectates body was now a crimson colour, "A-And how did you turn red...?"

"Umm... Ya Zenia, she's all gone" Hecate said, busying herself by looking around the room.

"Why are you red now?" Zenia asked, sitting up and then standing, Hectate didnt find much else in the room apart from a few blood packs, some empty and some full.

"I killed the vampire." Hecate said stiffly, draining the blood packs as more food for herself. "Too dangerous to leave her alive. Everything else here has been simple, but she... I couldn't leave her alive to hurt someone else." Hecate continued.

"We can keep going up, or jump down the enormous hole."

Zenia seemed to be slightly shocked, but eventually calmed down and nodded "Y-Yeah..your right..." looking down the hole, Hectate and Zenia didnt particularly want to jump down it, Zenia looked at her and said "Can we explore this ward a bit more?"

Hecate wouldn't talk on the subject again, but nodded when Zenia asked about exploring this ward just a little more. "I'd rather not jump down the hole either, but I bet I make a pretty good landing cushion" She said grinning. "well, lets get looking around then" Hecate had avoided looking at her own crimson colour, but she did now, giving herself a look over and reaching in to hold the core for a moment, wondering why it had been such a crucial weakness. She would have to ask the Queen about it.

Nodding, the two left that room and went back into the corridors, Hectate spotted a first aid kit on the wall, but at this point Zenias pockets could only hold so much "We might need to find a rucksack soon..." she said.

"I agree" Hecate said quietly, keeping her eyes open. "A flashlight would be good to..." Hecate oozed around the ward, looking for anything that could work, but it was questionable about her luck to be honest in the strange ward that reminded her more and more of an experimental facility. What the hell was going on here. And her own thoughts didn't raise her faith in the people who had erected it. There was a lot more here then either of them had been told and it was starting to make her ripple in annoyance.

What really mattered now was information, but they had to survive to get it, and Zenia didn't have the stomach for death, that much was certain. Hecate was going to have to protect her the entire way, and probably make some serious sacrifices to do it.

Zenia looked further down the corridor, walking down it she noticed that it actually forked off in two directions, looking at Hectate Zenia asked "Do you think we should split up to cover more ground?" she asked.

Hecate looked at Zenia for a moment, thinking hard. "Ya, I think it should be alright, that vampire was probably the worst thing here. Take the gun and go, don't be afraid to run back and find me if something goes wrong" Hecate said giving her a hug before heading to the left.

Nodding, Zenia hugged Hectate back before heading off down the right path, Hectate could see she was coming into a operating theater like area, to the left of her was another door as well.

Hecate looked around the area, wondering what in the blue balls of satan was going on here. There was a lot more then anyone had told her, and that was strange, because it meant it was beyond her clearance. Heading up to the observation area of the operating theatre, Hecate looked for a computer terminal or files, anything that could point her in the right direction.

There was indeed a computer terminal, resting against the wall, it was strangely classic, running off a simple command prompt OS, and oh look! Some thoughtless idiot had left their account logged on, remember kids, you should never keep yourself logged on in shared or public terminals! Now if only Hectate could type without short circuiting the whole thing.

It was an interesting problem, and Hecate had to settle on solidifying her fingers like she did her spikes and type very carefully. Running the command prompt was also pretty simple, standard commands would probably suffice. thinking for a minute, Hecate ran a command to pull up a list of directories, hoping to pull clues from the names of the directories she was looking at and get a real bead on what was going on.

Directories were brought up, right now there was only a documents folder, a email program and Zork, presumably some kind of game.

Hecate immediately sifted through the documents and the email. What she wanted to know was close, she could practically feel it. Thankfully in her excitement, she remembered not to drip on the keyboard.

Sifting through the documents, she did find two files related to the experiment she was a part of the "Artifical Bio dome sustainability experiment", they were labelled the same, ABDSE, the second one had a simple "2" next to it.

Hecate grinned as she scanned through the directories, she had a clue, this was good. Opening the first one, she read everything carefully, but even more important then that, checked on who had backed and funded the program in the first place. It was time to find out what the hell was going on here.
