Re: Muddled World Orchestra

Okay I know this is so old but...
In MWO 1, how do you beat that demon guy that summons lots of lips?
Or is it necessary to lose in the first battle?

oh and what does the Ribbon that you get in the mirror world do?
And what accessory would you reccomend I use?

EDIT: Okay I finally beat him...used 12 of those 5000 things at the shop...
Ignoring the Satan at the mirror world, How do I finish the game?
Okay to finish the game you need to gather all the ingredients for the curse that Ocarina(the main char) is preparing...To see what ingredients are needed check out the book in the Ocarina's lab...Also DO NOT sell the item that you get from the last boss("the incubuss's tail") as it's possible to gather it only once, and if you sell it you won't be able to finish the game...The rest of the ingredients are gatherable from various enemies(by killing them),and the rest of the bosses of course...

Also i'm suprised that at that point you had difficulty defeating the incubuss?...I had trouble losing to him(since you have to lose twice to him to see the bad end scene with the incubuss, where he impregnates Ocarina, and i really wanted to see it)...Also a tipp to beating him easily is to just use the anti darkness spell and he wont be able to touch you(or alternatively equip the angel's shield which does the same thing but permanently).

After I lose to the incubus once, Ocarina steps back whenever I move her into the boss cave. What's up? Do I need to level more or get a certain item?

You have to go to your room and check the mirror. You enter a mirror world where you can find an item that protects you from all status effects.

What's the item look like? I opened the triple-sealed grey chest in the mirror and beat the 4 magic weapons.

I tried a ribbon, but the wolves can still poison me with it on.

Oops, I don't think it covered poison. Basically, any status effect that paralyzes you, though, it protects you from, which is what the demon uses against you.

If you lose to the incubus the first time, Ocarina will be warped back to your room, and a new spot on the bookshelf shines.
Read the book to find that the weakness of an incubus is garlic. Then talk to the king in the kitchen to be given some garlic.
You can now fight the incubus again, and the garlic will prevent it from summoning its two helpers.
(If you lose this second battle against the incubus, you get the only Game Over in this game.)

Hmm,yes that's the thing that can make the incubuss fight really easy, although it's more fun to beat him the first time, which makes the fight more challenging...Oh and yes it is quite possible to beat the incubuss withouth exploiting his weakness...

If the fourth fragment will have clothing options, does that mean that 1-3 didn't? And if it'll have clothing options, will walking around in the nude e an option? I like the RPGM games that let you do that sort of thing.

Re: Muddled World Orchestra

Hey guys, I've been having some trouble getting this one to work on my computer.

Everytime I try to run the game, I get an error message 'RGSS200J.dll could not be found'. I don't this is a case of the archived files being corrupted, as I've lost count of how many times I've re-downloaded each fragment and the audio archive.

Any ideas on how to solve this, or better yet, could someone post a download for the missing .dll extension file?

Do you have the RPG Maker VX RTP? If not, you can download it from here:

Man, now I feel like an idiot. Obviously shows that I have little experience with RPG Maker games. Thanks for the help, works perfectly now.

Re: Muddled World Orchestra

Did anyone else have issues with downloading the files? I keep getting stuck at 14% or so.

Okay, tried various times: Audio file download is screwed. I've tried downloading it 4 times, and it stops at certain points ( 1st time it was 14%, 2nd time 30%, 3rd time about 49% and the last time at 195/230mb. ) Hoping this next one goes through.

On fragment 3 at the moment, and confused. What exactly is she supposed to do? I accepted the first sparkling quest on the noticeboard, and I'm not sure what to do.

Also: Does anyone know where in the town is there a bank of sorts, or do I have to grind everything back the moment I lose a fight? Are there CGs for losing one?

On page 2, a little more than halfway down, HangerDanger gives a description of each mission you get from the boards(though his #5 I got from the sixth board). Also, he gives a breakdown of how to get each scene more toward the top of the page.

For the first mission, you have to go to the farm to the north of the town. Just past there you should see small squirrels running around. Clear them out of the area, then talk to the woman next to the fence to turn it in(you should get moved right next to her once you clear out the last group).

I'm having a bit of an issue getting the second combat tournament to activate. I cleared the first tourney, did the bandit lair quest, and am level 23. Do I need to be a higher level, or did I overlook someone I need to talk to?

edit: Also, how do you get the bridge to appear that leads to the rest of the 3rd level of the sewers?

Hmm,well the second tournament may or may not appear for you based on whatever you won,or lost in the first tournament...
If you fufilled the requirements for the second tournament, the butler that let you into the manor the first time(the manor where the tournament was held),will appear in the guild next to the counter waiting for you to talk with him...Note before you enter this battle that the last guy you fight in the second tournament is insanelly strong(on hard difficulty he's got about 60000 HP,attacks 3 times a turn, has ATK up,DEF up,and SPD up techniques, and last but not least has 3 different attack techniques...First one deals about 500 damage and is single hit,the second one is double or tripple hit which deals about 600 damage, and the last one is his ultimate attack that easily deals about 1500-1800 damage...That guy(Contrabas is his name) is vulnerable to electricity and flame...
Also after you finish that fight you are drafted to help that guy in a rescue mission, and you don't even get to replenish your potion supply anywhere, and plus every enemy in that level is about level 24 which means that they have about 2000 HP each, and there are plenty of groups of those guys to fight there...

As for the bridge in the sewers, you won't be getting any...You'll actually get a teleport to the other side...That is actually a bonus boss's area...You'll get the quest to save someone's sister who was kidnapped by someone from a certain person in the guild(i think the guy will appear down by one of the tables in the guild once the requirements are fufilled...).
The boss itself is some sort of a crazy clown or something, and is not particullary strong(actually he's preety weak if you fight him with electric and fire slash techniques)...Note that the bonus boss has ROL scene...

I hope that at least some of this info will be of use to you,and i've got to say that i haven't played fragment 3 for quite some time now,so some details may be a bit off(by a small margin...),but most of this should very much be true...

Re: Muddled World Orchestra

Thanks for the info, Hanger. I wasn't aware the last part of the sewer was for that bonus quest.

The only problem is I have no idea what the requirements are for either the second tournament or the bonus quest. I'm level 25 - 26 now, I've done every guild quest except the bonus one(even the three you get from talking to the girl plus an automatic delivery quest the guy behind the counter gives you), I won all three rounds of the first tournament and I'm pretty much set to get on the boat anytime.

I think there are a bunch of scenes I haven't gotten yet though, so I'll work on those and see if it gets me anywhere.

Well the requirements for the second tournament are based on the number of finished quests(the ones on the wall),as opposed to the requirements for the first one which only had a level requirement...

So the best advice i can give you is to keep doing various quests(just keep completing the squirl quest or better yet the metal collection quest as it can be done in less than a minute...or in less than 20 seconds if you use the invisibility cloack) until the butler guy appears in the guild...That's the most efficient way that i've found to work when the second tournament is involved...

Re: Muddled World Orchestra

For the pub job: There's one order which has literally no more than one Japanese character in the menus that's even similar to what the person says. ( The curly character in the first option in the food menu). I tried that option, but it says I got it wrong. Which of the drink / food orders am I supposed to take for that order? Otherwise, the rest of the orders I've been able to wing it by playing matchup.

Well the easy way to get around that is to save your game while working before you choose something from the menu, and if that's not it just reload your game and try something else, and just keep trying everything until you hit the right thing...

Note that for that order that you've just mentioned the above method may not work since that order swaps the two items in the menu, since that is a bug that was never fixed...Even i got that order wrong so many times even though i can read the menu without the problem, due to the mentioned bug...As far as i remember that bug only ever occured with the food orders...
