Re: Atlantis

The dark-haired woman inclines her head in Ari's direction. "Shoni, but just about everyone calls me Sho. The speeding bullet, if you hadn't gathered, is Siphon."

Re: Atlantis

Jacobs just threw his hands up in mock disgust.

"Right ... peachy. More things with him that randomly decide to yell here I am. You do realize though if he's starting to remember a past life that it'll probably start to unspool faster and faster on it's own right, and there is nothing to be done?"

Ian suddenly found himself standing in the city gate room, the room massive. As he did though, he saw his Tokra companion moving quickly, weapon drawn and acting strange. It wasn't until he moved forward that he saw why.

Two Alveran soldiers lay on the ground, their throats slashed out. Clearly they were dead, and from the still pooling blood, they hadn't been for long.

Re: Atlantis

"And that's why we need to keep an eye on him. Talvesh already told me he'd do what he could, but even he isn't infallible." Sho shoots a look at the man over her shoulder before hurrying along toward the control room.

Vorhan's movement is what stops Ian's gawking, because, well, the sight of the control room and gate was pretty impressive, especially the first time through. The sight of the dead warriors puts him on alert, too, but the main thing is to warn the others of what's going on. His attention divides between the Tokra and getting out the touch stone and activating it.

"Hey, Jacobs. Hope yer gettin' this. Got a hostile runnin' around in Vanessa's skin, so if ya see her, knock her right the hell out, a'ite? And don't let her get ta Siphon. That's who she's aftah. Ah'm at the gate and some directions would be welcome right about now."

Re: Atlantis

Jacobs pulled out a small device that had started glowing, Ian's face and voice filtering through in virtually perfect detail. The Alveran frowned at Ian's words, knowing the woman he spoke of.

"Great ... Nirrti then I take. Will do, actually we all were on our way to the control room, Siphon is slightly ahead of us but still in sight. He should be practically bumping into you in about a minute."

Sure enough, Siphon suddenly emerged from a pair of doors that seemed to have been utterly blown apart, coming to a halt as he saw Ian, a Tokra, and the dead bodies. He looked like he'd been through hell, blood still smeared on his clothing and what seemed like gash marks on his chest where the clothing had been torn apart. His pistol was out as he swept the room with his eyes, even as he spoke.

"Talk to me Ian, the hell is going on in here?"

Re: Atlantis

Before Ian can reply, his attention snaps up at Siphon's entrance. "Got 'im," is all he says before the device disconnects for the moment. "Just got here. Too late f' them. Nirrti's runnin' around inside Nessa and she's lookin' fer you."

Siphon shot a look at him, a stunned look crossing his face.

"Nirrti is INSIDE Vanessa? Fucking wonderful, the hell does she want with me?"

Ariana remained silent, passing a concerned look between Sho and Jacobs, waiting for a gap in their conversation to speak. "And who is this Nirrti?" She asked simply.

Re: Atlantis

"Yeah, we're all just as pissed, mate. And near as Ah know, she wants ya on account of ya bein' a...mutated host. Take comfort in the fact that all she wants is yer DNA." It's not quite like Ian to crack jokes like that, so he's clearly got other things on his mind.

"Bad news," is Sho's reply to the question. "She's a goa'uld that pretty much wants to take over the universe. But she wants to be unstoppable first, so she's trying to genetically fuck with people to get the perfect host body for herself."

Re: Atlantis

Siphon raised an eyebrow at the mutated host bit, then turned and stared at him after his little joke.

"Wait ... if she came here and has been here long enough and we didn't see her that means she had a cloaking device. Which means ... shit, where the hell is Aya?"

At that, he started up the side stairs, his pace betraying genuine concern.

Jacobs nodded adding, "gou'ald are parasitical creatures if you want an appropriate definition. Normally, like their cousins the Tokra, they take on willing hosts. Nirrti though took control of her previous host some time ago against her will, and likely has done the same to our friend. Basically, she jacked control of her body, and the host has no control over what their body does."

Re: Atlantis

Ariana listened intently, her face showing shock, then concern. She held up her hands to indicate a size, slightly smaller than her head. "Are they about this size, blue and slightly luminescent, and vaguely reminiscent of starfish?" She asked, frowning. "I may have dealt with them before, I thought they were something of a local problem, and all dead now."

Re: Atlantis

"All we saw were these two," Ian states, moving carefully over to follow Siphon. If Nirrti were around, someone watching his back would probably be a good idea, even if he were just crossing the room."

Sho shakes her head. "More like worms, actually. So big." She holds up her hands to indicate average size. "And they usually go in around the stomach. About here. Or the back of the neck." She indicates both spots on herself. "Vanessa's likely aware of what Nirrti is up to and it's probably pissing her the hell off. So if you run into a woman that's not me, you, or blonde, feel free to knock her out."

Re: Atlantis

Siphon muttered something under his breath, reaching the top of the stairwell and freezing in place. When he spoke next, his tone had ice in it, and dread.

"Ian get up here now!"

By the time the other man got up top, Siphon had already moved and was bent down on one knee near the prone form of another body. It took a moment to register the body was a red haired woman, one he knew all to well. The woman lying on the floor was Vanessa.

Siphon reached down, checking her, letting loose a surprised sound.

"She's alive, but her pulse is erratic, and she's cold to the touch."

By this time Vorhan had made his way up, and what he said sent a chill down Siphon's spine, and likely would Ian as well.

"I do not sense a symbiote within her. I believe Nirrti has left her body."

Siphon shot a look to Ian, a worried look.

"If he's right, and it would explain her condition, then without another symbiote to sustain her, regeneration from a Sarcophagus or stasis, she doesn't have long. If Nirrti has left her body, she has no immune system right now. Given her state, I'd say it's safe to say she's dying. Oh christ ... that panel over there with the orange key, hit it now! If she left Vanessa then there's only one other host she could have taken, and that's Aya. Which means she's got someone more advanced than me as her host, and won't need me possibly. She'll be looking to escape."

Re: Atlantis

"Just similar, then. Disturbing." Ariana answered, chuckling a bit at the last. "I'll keep that in mind. Not entirely sure how I'd go about it, though. From the sounds of it, it doesn't sound like walking up and rapping her across the temple is a good idea."

Re: Atlantis

There's a slew of curses that are coming out of the Aussie's mouth, again, something very uncharacteristic of him. "We need ta get her out of here, then." Of course, that's counter productive, given the fact that if they open the gate, there's a pretty good chance Nirrti will head through. There's a brief moment of hesitation before he pushes himself up and slams his hand down on the indicated button. Once that's done, he pulls out the touch stone again.

"Status update. We found Nessa but Nirrti's jumped ship. Ah guess she's runnin' around inside somebody name Aya now. So...watch out for sheila's ya don't know, Ah guess."

"Sounds like," Sho agrees. "And no. Chances are if you did dome her good, it'd only piss her off. But it would at least make for a good distraction." She brings out a curiously shaped weapon, something that resembles a snake in a position to spring forward. "Should knock her out. Or at least slow her down so we can use other things to knock her out."

Re: Atlantis

Siphon let loose a low growl, fists clenching.

"First things first, we need to get her into a stasis unit here. We can't chance using the gate until Nirrti is downed, but without stasis to preserve her, Vanessa is as good as dead. Then we have to figure out how in the hell we're going to stop her. Ian, Aya is capable of causing living beings to combust into flame and melt, with a power like that at Nirrti's disposal ... she's infinitely more dangerous now. I have an idea on how we can track her, the city sensors should detect her even through a personal cloak, if not ... well there is always generating a small vorshal burst which would fry it. Aya is about my height, little taller, blonde hair, emerald eyes and an ancient. Oh, and did I mention she may or may not be a long lost wife from a past I've had no clue about until today?"

Jacobs frowned.

"Nirrti left her to jump into Aya? Well, if that's who I think it is, yeah Siphon is right, very bad news with her power. Though she used it not long ago and it seemed to drain her, so maybe we'll get lucky and she can't use it just yet. We'll be there in moments to assist in moving Vanessa. Do what you can to keep her stable."

At that moment, a coughing sound was heard, coming from Vanessa. Her eyes fluttered open, and she gasped in air, coughing louder, struggling to speak words that were crucial.

"Ian .. Si .. phon. Nirrti ... she's still in .. the city... you got here ... just after she ... jumped. I .. I managed to ... damage her device ... she can't cloak. I .. I'm sorry I couldn't ... do more or stop her."

On that, she let out another gasp for air, then began to convulse, eyes rolling into her head. Siphon quickly pressed a hand to her forehead, one lingering half a moment in hesitation over her chest before placing it gently on top, and then a faint light engulfed both him and Vanessa. It might take a moment for Ian to realize what was happening, as he hadn't really seen this before, but had heard of it. Siphon was using his abilities to try and stabilize her enough to live, and from the frown on his face, while she seemed to be getting slightly better, that frown indicated it wasn't by much. When he was done, her convulsions had stopped, he spoke to Ian without turning.

"She's helped far more than she knows. If Nirrti can't cloak, she can't sneak past us through the gate. Which means when the others get here, you go to these gate coordinates Ian.

He handed a small pad to him with glowing symbols.

"You go there from Peltas, and when you get there, two hundred meters from the gate will be a semi buried set of rings with an activator only a few inches below a fake section of ground. Use that, which will draw a bunch of Tokra out. You tell them Siphon sent you, and you need healer help from Tavala. You'll need the authentication code ... Siphon Daina Gamma Eight. They won't delay after that. And Ian ... I'm ... I'm sorry about the um ... physicality displayed there."

Re: Atlantis

Sho listens to Jacobs as he communicates with Ian. "Charming," she mutters."All right, well, at least I know who we're looking for." She grins over at Ariana. "Remember what I said about the blonde? Forget it."

Ian holds up a hand as Siphon explains exactly who, and what, Aya is. "At the moment, Ah don't care if she's yer wife, sistah, or third cousin. We just need ta find heah." Hearing Vanessa coughing, he kneels down beside her. "Shh. Nessa, it's okay. Ya did good." It's clear his immediate instinct is to take hold of her hand but he's refraining, given her compromised state at the moment. "A'ite, heah." He trades Siphon the touch stone for the data pad. "Dial me through, mate?" he says to Vorhan, intending on waiting on the others, but wanting to be ready regardless. At Siphon's apology, he lets out a dismissive snort, obviously not taking offense to the action, given it's necessity.

((Allrighty, that's one character soon to be out for the trip. Now to worry about the other one. Then again, I think you both know my playstyle enough to run her in my absence *laughs*))

Re: Atlantis

((Indeed. Funny too how sometimes natural planned plot lines end up coming at the BEST possible times :D))

Vorhan nodded, stepping up to the gate dialing system, and beginning to punch in the address for Peltas Station. the gate dialing almost as fast as he could hit the buttons. By the time he reached the activator, the gate had finished it's sequence, and the wormhole opened much faster than it did on Peltas.

Taking the stone from Ian, he nodded to him once.

"Agreed, and thank you Ian. Good Luck to you as well, I've done what I can for her but I have to be honest with you, she's on stolen time right now. Now to get the station ready."

He activated the stone, which displayed Julia's features on it, who looked surprised.

"Siphon! What's wrong? I know that look."

Siphon clenched his jaw before he replied to her.

"Long story short, we have a class one medical emergency inbound through the gate. Nirrti jumped out of Vanessa, and she's dying. As soon as she an Ian come through the gate, I need you to dial the gate to P7R-229. Only the Tokra are going to be able to help her now, I've done everything I can but .. restoring an immune system is beyond all of us."

Julia's eyes widened, but she nodded.

"As soon as it shuts down, we will dial. If you need anything Ian, you let me know."

About that time, Sho and the others would arrive at the control room, the situation pretty evident just by the looks and the words being spoken. Siphon turned to Ian, and nodded to him.

"Go, get her taken care of. We'll handle Nirrti."

Re: Atlantis

"Give her one or two for me, aye?" Ian gives him another wink and as soon as Siphon's done talking to Julia, he'll step through the wormhole, and make the journey back to the station, time being of the essence. While he's waiting for them to dial the gate to get him to the Tokra, he'll fill Julia in on the situation to the best of his own knowledge, especially if Nirrti manages to get herself back through the gate and on to the station somehow.

Re: Atlantis

"I can probably immobilize her, but if she can do what I saw that woman do to the wraith in the gate room... I have nothing." Ariana said with a shrug. She raised an eyebrow at the odd serpentine weapon, but didnt comment on it. "At least I've seen this one, so I know who to watch out for."

Re: Atlantis

Siphon nodded, waiting until Ian had gone through and the gate shut down before turning to the others.

"That a symbiote extractor?"

The Tokra nodded, to which Siphon replied, "Good, let's go get this bitch. I'm sick of her."

Turning to Ariana, he shrugged.

"If she used it again, given how woozy she was the first time and her saying it was limited right now, I'm doubting that she can. Let's hope I'm right. If you get a chance to stun her, take it, don't wait on the rest of us."
