Re: Competition (Azure)

Capri began laughing slightly as Azure took to turning away from him and laying her verbal smackdown as it were. "In jest, was it?" he asked, before he suddenly embraced her from behind, wrapping his arms around her collar. "If kissing can be considered a jest, I'm not sure I want to know how far the joke goes. Or if it applies to me." he said in a whisper. "Don't joke about love, Azure. I understand how you are, but perhaps we both can agree that love isn't a thing to be toyed with in jest?"

Re: Competition (Azure)

Her body language still says "sulky," even as he wraps his arms around her. She won't try to get away from him, but he's treading a fine line at the moment. "I have yet to joke about love, Capri." She's looking at him out of the corners of her eyes. "The kiss I gave Zidane wasn't even a token of affection. It was casual and impulsive. Something to quell his demand for compensation. I'd hope that you could discern the difference between my kissing you and my kissing him. Or Francis for that matter. There's love. There's affection. There's lust. There's friendship. We're very physical beings. I'm sorry if you're not used to that and that it upset you. It's how I am. It's how I'll likely be, no matter how much I try to change for you."

Capri was silent for a moment, before letting out a sigh. "So, I'm the bad guy?" he asked, before slowly pulling his arms off of Azure to lean back into the bed. "I don't understand your world." he said with defeat, before laying on his side facing away from Francis and Azure to look out of the window, watching those inside the temple go about their day.

"Which doesn't make you the bad guy," she says with a sigh, fingers cording through her hair. "You're getting upset with me because of my culture and I'm getting upset with you because of yours. Clearly we need to figure out a compromise."

"I just need time I suppose. After all, I'm in your world. You aren't in mine. I'm the one who needs to get with the program." Capri announced, still looking out the window idly at the people walking about. Or flapping about, as some of them had fins.

She lets out another sigh. "Time it is," she says quietly, stretching out on the bed as well, though she doesn't make a move to curl up with him, keeping her distance for now, to give him time to think and not wanting to push the issue of space between the two of them.

Re: Competition (Azure)

"This place reeks of drama," announced a familiar voice as Ragna walks into Francis' house. In response to this, Francis does seem a bit astonished that the white haired half-demon just barged into a woman's house.

"You just let yourself in?" she inquired. Ragna blinked, before heading back behind her front door and knocking. "Are you trying to say you forgot to knock..."

"Something like that. I guess it didn't seem important at the time." Ragna replied. Francis also pointed out that he just walked in again without waiting for an invitation. Ragna was ready to repeat the process again before Francis insisted he just come inside proper. With that, he looked to Azure with a straight face. "We found a job, but the woman giving us the job is a bit of a lech and won't take us seriously. She's also kind of taken a liking to Marth. In the licking kind of way. I figured you could help out and get her to treat us seriously." he requested Azure's aid, before adding on a little bit more. "By the way, Zwei and I made a bet about whether you'd make a move on Zidane the first day you were together. Can you tell him I won? We made a bet on steak and I'm pretty hungry."

Re: Competition (Azure)

Azure boosts herself up as Ragna walks in, not quite as surprised, but then, this isn't her house. If it's becomes a habit, she might say something to him but for the time being, she lets it go, especially since Francis has already dealt with it.

She listens to his report about the woman and frowns. "All right. I'll see what I can do." She'll slip off the bed, stretch, and then brush Capri lightly on the shoulder. "Do you want to come with us?"

At Ragna's question, she simply grins. "You'll have to ask Zidane. He's out...getting some air at the moment." Hungry or not, she won't cop to an answer, especially since she doesn't quite know how to answer that question. She has an idea, but the longer she can stretch it out, the more amusing it seems.

"I suppose." Capri shrugged. Though he didn't look interested in doing anything else.

Ragna twisted his lips at Azure's reply before motioning to lead them towards the sexist woman he spoke of. "You're really gonna do that? C'mon, I'm hungry and I know I won." he insisted.

It will be more of an opportunity for him to study the culture, even if the culture might be more inclined to try and study him. Naked. She makes a resolution to keep an eye on him, and, well, all of them, around this woman.

That smile plays over her lips again. "Well, I wouldn't call it that. You can't put the moves on someone that's asking you to give them something when you've only got one thing to give. That's why I said you'll have to ask Zidane." She has a feeling Zwei might argue with her on that point, since there's grey area there and there's a bet on the line. "Shouldn't we be going? Especially if Marth's virtue is on the line?"

Re: Competition (Azure)

"Yeah, yeah," Ragna waved off Azure's reasons. He didn't seem to care one way or another for why it happened. But at her words, Ragna was still walking ahead to lead them, and so waved her down from outside of the door. "That's why I'm heading this way!"

Once she caught up, Ragna nonchalantly walked without a care in the world, his blade hanging on his back via some leather straps, and his hands in his pockets. "I don't care who you kiss. Even if it's me. Because if you do go around deciding to smooch me, then it's my mother who will care. Last woman who made an advance on me, my mother shouted 'that she was going to plant herself a dumbass tree' and then grabbed them by the collar and slammed them into the ground so hard that only their legs stuck up from the ground. Not trying to intimidate you, just saying that my mother is an overprotective juggernaut." he stated.

However she chose to respond to that, they'd arrive at the location of the pervy woman with a job once she was done. Inside, there was arguing, one side being a rather lecherous voice, and the other being Marth. "Such fine pink nipples~ Do you and the cat have the same beautiful buds~?" she asked. "STOP TOUCHING ME AND ANSWER MY QUESTION!" Marth shouted, before rapid flickering lights came from inside, and the loud sound of electricity struck, followed by some coughing. "Hack... Oh... Such a feisty young man~ Yet so frail~" she cooed. "I will cook you and feed you to the sharks you old hag!" Marth shouted.

If she walked into the shop, Azure would find Marth standing over a with elf ears and white hair. The woman looked to have been through hell and back with nothing but a smile on her face, fueled by her own sin. Marth meanwhile looked like his clothes were messed greatly, much like a victim of constant molestation.

Re: Competition (Azure)

"That seems a bit...excessive." But then again, if Ragna is anything like his mother, she can see where the personality comes from. "Though I'm curious as to how...quickly your mother would find out about something like that." Clearly the woman wasn't watching him all the time. Either that, or she somehow approved of the situation that lead to her son being assaulted, which seemed counter-productive to the whole "don't kiss him" thing.

Smoothing her hair and garments before entering the shop, Azure would take a moment to size up the situation. While it was good that Marth was standing up for himself, clearly it was a wasted effort. "You do that and we'll have to forget about the job, Marth." She'll slip inside, moving to the young wizard's side and very subtly easing him back and away from the elf woman, putting herself between the two of them. She will reach down to help haul the other mamono up from the floor, if she's inclined to accept the gesture. After that, Azure will cross her arms and look at the woman square. "I'd thank you kindly to not harass my representatives. It's a waste of my time and their resources. Now, do you have a job for them or not?"

Re: Competition (Azure)

The woman laughed until Azure came in, then she looked rather bothered. Her expression regarded Azure as if she were some kind of intruder. When Azure stood between her and Marth, the elf seemed almost confrontational in her stance. "I do have a job," she stated, dipping a hand under her counter to fetch a fresh scroll before accepting Azure's offer to be helped up. The scroll was put into her hands, before the elf looked her square in the eyes. "Though..." she whispered, speaking to Azure alone so the others couldn't hear. "You're getting in the way of having a good time. Take the scroll and go, leave the boy here so we can finish what we were doing, and I'll be happy to give you something you'd like. Money? A man of your own? How about some property?" she offered, suddenly making quite generous offers, while lingering in this room would allow Azure to smell something faint. Powder of a mysterious origin was created here, as well as a half empty cup where Marth and the woman must have discussed together of the job. It was quite clear that this woman had drugged him. And given all her offers as well as Azure's knowledge of underground mamono culture (her village wasn't made of perfectly pure people), Azure would have all the key elements of identifying a slaver, though without the most important element itself, which was undeniable proof.

Re: Competition (Azure)

Without definite proof, the lamia wasn't about to start throwing accusations around. At least no more than what she could put together from Marth's yelling and what Ragna had told her. She'll accept the scroll, unrolling it to give it a cursory glance and get a general idea of what the job entails before letting it curl shut once more. Provided it doesn't seem shady from the outset, she'll hand it off to Capri or Ragna (or Marth, if neither of those two followed her in), keeping up the air of being mildly annoyed by the whole situation.

At the woman's offer, she gives her a bit of a smile, though there's certainly teeth behind it. "That won't be possible. He's got a job to do and he's already made me come down here and fetch him." She'll give Marth a look that borders on annoyance. "Go join the others," she orders. "We apparently have work to do." She'll emphasize the order to leave with a light brush of her tail at his backside. It isn't a swat or a caress, more of a "scoot" gesture. The goal is to get him out of the shop, then leave herself, inclining her head to the elf before she makes to depart.

Re: Competition (Azure)

Opening the scroll, it would read as such, "Looking for someone to help with a little problem. My name is Claire and a friend of mine is depressed over recent events. I hope to cheer her up with a present, and I believe she'd enjoy something from dry land, like a figurine made of red wood. A place called Waymeet should sell something like that, but every time I've gone out, I've been attacked by something! I would be very happy if someone were to help me make my way!"

Capri would take the scroll, being the closest standing to Azure. "Ah... Shame." the elven woman replied, before Marth would give a small reaction to her tail touching his behind and scooting him off. "Hey..." he began, before seeing her expression of annoyance, and turning his head away as he headed out. The elven woman would nod her head back at Azure before sighing and returning to her desk, adjusting herself after being attacked repeatedly by Marth.

Once outside, Marth couldn't help but growl. "Treatment of men in this place is only getting worse! I swear, this used to be a good place!" he complained.

Ragna shrugged. "It's all the war and stuff that's been going on. People's true colors show when fighting begins and no one has any reason to put on fake smiles."

Capri remained silent, though far from distant. His eyes were fixed on Marth and Ragna as they spoke, listening for any piece of information they gave out.

Re: Competition (Azure)

Straightforward enough. It looked as though the first thing would be to collect Zidane and Zwei. Secondly would be to meet up with Claire, not to mention procure supplies for the trip. Details could be discussed when they were all together again. Not that she didn’t want to keep these three in the dark, but it seemed a waste to repeat herself.

Giving the woman a courteous nod, she’d slide out to join the boys. Reaching up, she’ll give Marth a tentative rub on the shoulder. “You okay?” It’s clear she wasn’t really annoyed with him, but putting on an act in front of the other woman.

Once she was sure, she would, at the very least, bring up the subject of Waymeet, not being particularly familiar with the place’s location in relation to the temple. If any present knew, that might spark of a discussion on what they’ll need to get, which might result in division of labor: collect Zwei, get supplies, and either find or wait for Zidane to get back.

Capri will also get a gentle nudge as her shoulder connects lightly with his. “Last chance to consider that whole marriage thing while we’re here before we set out,” she’ll tease lightly, not really expecting him to have reached his decision, especially not after the conversations and arguments they’d been having.

Checking on Marth, he looked a little winded. "Huh? Y-yeah... I guess I'm just light headed from getting so angry at that woman... I just need to calm down..." he assured himself, though calming down only made him seem more sluggish.

When asked of marriage, Capri looked to Azure, not shying away from the touch of shoulders, but still silent. He thought to himself, quiet. "... How many will you marry?" was all he asked. He waited for her response.

Re: Competition (Azure)

She considers Capri's question for a moment, then lets out a soft sigh of a sound. "I don't know," comes as the reply, there having been honest thought behind it. "One, at least, if he'll still have me." She's not pushing the issue, just stating for the count. She won't push the issue further, especially since she can't give him a definite answer.

"I think you might be light headed for other reasons." Not that she's exceptionally knowledgeable in this, but she'll take a look at him, his eyes, try and see how coherent he is. "I think she might have been trying to drug you. Or she did and it hasn't kicked in yet."

Re: Competition (Azure)

"D-drug...!?" Marth exclaimed. He seemed to get excited, which likely sped up his blood flow, which in turn led to the drug speeding up. As Azure checked him, his pupils dilated, and he went limp and fell against her.

"Woah, didn't think that woman would be so underhanded." Ragna commented. "Wonder if Marth should sit this one out? I also wonder if that 'job' we got is actually legit. Might just be some dirty job or something." he suspected.

Looking at Ragna, Marth, and the development, Capri sighed. "Let me figure out if I can spend the rest of my life with these men as well as you." he asked of her.

"I don't mind, just keep the nerdy stuff to yourself. I like swords, not books." Ragna said to Capri.

Capri looked surprised at Ragna, as he was being quiet. Ragna just tapped his left ear with his right hand. "Good ears. One of the few perks I get for having a dullahan mother."

Re: Competition (Azure)

Azure lets out a startled sound and braces Marth as he falls against her. She'll shift him around in her hold so he's not just flopped against her, having enough strength to gather the young man into her arms. At Ragna's words, she lets out a sigh. "Well, do you think he'll be all right here by himself? Or with one of you staying behind to keep an eye on him? As for the job, I thought about that, too. I say we still give it a shot, in case it is legitimate, but we should probably be prepared for it to, well, not be."

She'll incline her head and give Capri a smile as an answer, letting out a little bit of a laugh at Ragna's answering him. "Well, looks like you'll have to confine the nerdy talk to Marth, at the very least. Speaking of, let's get him home, so he has a safe place to panic when he wakes up."
