Maria opened her mouth but stopped to watch Shani's flailing for a moment before she listened to Shani continue trying to explain. “A succubus? Uh... you say she's nice...?”

She paused to think about it before seemingly having an idea. “...do you think she's strong enough to dissuade adventurers? If she stayed in this room, then she could keep them from heading up the stairs.”

Shani pondered about her answer for a moment.

"Well, to be honest, I don't know if she's that strong. She probably has some tricks up her sleeve and knows a bit of magic." Shani shrugged. "She would probably prefer to sleep with adventurers, not 'dissuade' them, but I think there's no problem to do both. To be frank I don't know what exactly succubi can and cannot do. I think she might know how to charm though - be it naturally or magically - it could come handy if someone was too stubborn for his own good."

Shani yawned and stretched her arms.

"You know what, actually I'm pretty tired. I hope I won't overstay my welcome by crashing here, but this bed looks sooo comfortable. And I could get a bit more of this wine-" The girl took another sip. "-because it's really delicious." Shani glanced over the mechanical man's outline. "I tried the first dial, it was a massage. It said the second one would be an oil one - is this right? And the third dial..."

Shani yawned once more, this time powerfully.

I think Leroy can massage us both, or at least we can take turns. Since I'm staying for the night let's finish this bottle as well!"

When the magician was in the middle of massage, she was thinking about the third dial option.

"The 'Seven Steps to Heaven', huh? Interesting. Maybe when I come back to check up how Rishana and Maria are doing, I'll experience them personally. Today I'm too exhausted to even think about anything too complex and...Oh! Mmm! This massage is *good*..."

"I haven't really tried it with anyone else, but I don't think he's intended for more then one person at a time.” Maria stated, before standing and circling around to Leroy's back and opening a panel revealing a container a quarter full of oil. She fetched a canister that had been hidden near the mechanical man and filled him up to the brim and Shani could tell it smelled of spices. “There, you should be able to set it to two now.”

After Shani had doffed her clothing and was on the table, Maria turned the artificial masseuse on to option two and he once more came to life.

“Good evening, you have selected a Hot Oil Massage to help prepare you for this evening. Please relax and enjoy.” Once more she found the artificial hands upon her back and to her surprise oil was being pour out of the palms. It was hot but not uncomfortably so and the heat only enhanced the spicy smell of it. When Shani woke up she was surprised to see Maria lying next to her, but not because she was against the idea - "Wow, I must have been really tired to sleep through 'number three'... I imagine she would have been screaming quite loudly to pass out during it..."

After the morning pandiculation magician proceeded with hers plan, although since Maria was sleeping she was forced to change the order a little bit. Shani dressed herself and began to prepare for the upcoming journey. She made her mind about accepting Maria's proposition regarding the safekeeping of some of her items and decided to leave in her care the lingerie with the minotaur dildo (although she would ask her to stuff it somewhere deep and safe... And out of anyone's sight). When her inventory was clean and in order, she ate a light breakfast.

The magician had just finished cleaning the chamber from her yesterday 'scavenging' when Maria woke up. Shani asked her about the directions, how to find her plantation using the surface roads, as well us - on an unrelated note - if there is a place where she can freshen up.

When the adventurer was finally ready to go, she hugged Maria and bid her farewell, promising to talk with Rishana soon. She returned to the fork when fortune smiled to her and guided towards the pleasant company of Maria. Shani diligently copied the writing on the wall for further studies and continued her journey going deeper into the labyrinth.

“Mm... almost made it to six...” Maria dreamily said as she sat up in bed. She caught sight of Shani cleaning the chamber and got out of the bed apparently feeling pleasantly sore. “Good morning, Shani!”

Maria listened to Shani's request for information as well as her taking up the offer for safe keeping of the requested items. “Sure! The plantation is just down Elm road off of the King's Highway. Do you have a map?”

Maria looked at the map Shani had roughed out on the back of the pamphlet and noted down where the plantation was. She wasn't TOO far from where she started, but the winding paths made it seem like she'd covered a much larger distance. Maria walked over to the staircase pausing only to grab a robe from the wardrobe. “I can draw you a bath if you like or you can just wash your face. Have you already eaten? I can cook breakfast if you like.”

Maria led Shani up the stairs and through a hatch into a storage room of some sort. Maria unlocked the door and Shani had to blink as bright daylight flooded into the room when she opened it. Looking into the main hallway, she found a fairly expansive home that could have easily held a lot more people but would seem incredibly lonely for a single person. Maria led her to a fairly large bathroom where she could clean up as she saw fit.

After cleaning up, Shani told Maria of her intention to leave immediately.

“Be safe, Shani... who knows what else lingers down there?” Maria said, before hugging Shani and escorting her back to the labyrinth entrance. After finding her way back to the fork, she carefully noted down the writing on the wall before moving deeper into the labyrinth.

The passage continued further and deeper into the earth, she found herself at her first true cross roads. There was a few statues set into the walls with an snake watching vigil over the left path, a lion overbearing the path leading straight on and a goat staring at her from the right path.

"I like the details. And the symbolism is a nice touch." Shani muttered to herself when she glanced over the statues.

"What should I pick first? I plan to investigate all of them, but something's going to be first..."

Magician contemplated her first move. Ultimately she decided to move straight ahead.

"Lion seems nice... Goat isn't the most epic animal I've seen, and while I like snakes, in this circumstances they remind me more of their dark side, of treachery and deceit..."

The Lion path quickly led to an apparent change of scenery as the glowing stone was replaced by torches and she found her path being lined by suits of armor and by ancient weapons. Most of them had seen better days and were unlikely to be of any use.

Part way down the path, she found an unusual display set into a natural cave that the passageway had been cut through. The armored knight poised for battle on the left looked much the same as the other armored displays she'd seen thus far but it was his opponent that caught her attention. A feminine marionette was dressed in a sensual excuse for armor that exposed an impractical amount of flesh to an opponent and wielded a single sword.

The marionette gave Shani an odd feeling, but she couldn't put her finger on what was wrong.

“Ancient armour… well, that looks interesting. A bit rusty though. I wonder if I could take some element, a light dagger or something – it may prove to have some value to some historical collector or something...” Shani stood before the ancient armour stack, contemplating how and what to scavenge.

“You won’t need that” – she finally decided to take the most “ancient” and “elaborate” element she could find.

When Shani found the marionette, a chill ran down her spine.

“Ugh. Creepy” she muttered, watching the doll carefully. “You’re kind of out of place, you know that?”

The girl proceeded a bit closer, drawing her staff. She paused for a moment, a sudden thought popped in her mind. She shrugged and decided materialize her precaution:

“Let’s put this ice staff to good use”

She waved her weapon trying to freeze solid the marionettes legs – just to be sure – and continued forwards to examine the intriguing creature.

As Shani examined the armor, she saw that the majority of it was showing it's age. The one piece that did seem salvageable to her was a rather ornate dagger that had been tucked into a side sheath. As she removed the dagger, she felt the sensation of cold steel on her arm. When she glanced back, she saw that the human sized doll had hooked the sleeve of her tunic with its sword.

With a flick of it's wrist, it cut open the sleeve of her tunic leaving it barely closed by a strip of cloth on her shoulder. It didn't seem to have cut her flesh, and when it danced back it seemed to almost tease her.

"Wha...!?" Shani gasped, surprised as the marionette cut her clothing. "My... MY DRESS! I'm going to unscrew your mechanical ass!"

Shani jumped back, whirled her weapon and pointed it towards the marionette's general direction. She imagined a cold stream of highly pressurized water, so cold that it contained little pieces of ice, erupting from her staff, hopefully pushing her foe back or at least making the floor slippery.

The marionette danced towards Shani with an almost unnatural lightness to it's step. It's constant movement kept her from drawing a bead on it until it had closed the distance and it thrust it's sword at her. She flinched slightly before she felt it catch the remainder of her sleeve instead of her flesh. With another swift slash, she found her tunic had fallen open partly exposing her flesh but not doing any damage to anything but her modesty.

The marionette then made the mistake of stopping to admire it's handiwork. It then caught Shani's blast of ice cold water to it's chest and was sent bodily back into a wall. It shuddered a bit as it rose back to it's feet.

Shani's progressing lack of garments went almost unnoticed to the magician, she was so focused on the battle. Nevertheless the girl hissed at her foe:

"A perverted doll. Or is it just arrogant?"

The magician smiled wryly.

"Well, let's see you dodge this!"

Shani jumped back in order to be sure she would not stand in a puddle of water. Right after that she smashed her staff to the ground, sending bolts of lighting across the corridor, targeting the soaked floor and marionette alike.

The marionette didn't seem to care too much about what Shani thought of it as it once again danced its way closer to her. Despite her attempts to dodge it, it managed to snag her other sleeve with it's blade and continued it's attempt to liberate her of her clothing. So far it hadn't actually made any attempt to harm her and one could wonder what it was doing.

Shani quickly removed herself from the puddle of water that had formed itself underneath the marionettes wet form and launched a bold of thunder that arced its way to her target. It quickly found it's mark and the puppets wooden form seemed to spark and smolder as the drier parts of it began to catch flame. Then it did something unexpected.

The armor popped open of it's own accord and discharged the doll that had been wearing it. The puppet collapsed to the ground where it continued to smolder while the armor itself remained upright without any support. It didn't immediately move and it seemed that the electricity still arching through it seems to have stunned it.

The magician felt her loose cleavage when she dodged the marionettes attacks; as well as while jumping and generally - fighting. Her breasts jiggled heavily and Shani once again thought: "I really overdid it with the breast size."

When the "armor" released the doll it held, Shani at first looked at the scene puzzled, with bemusement.

"Well... That's a... twist?" she mumbled to herself.

Nevertheless the magician quickly got a hold of herself.

"Iron, even animated by some magic, is still iron nonetheless!" she said, continuing her lightning barrage.

The bolt of lightning struck the armor true and she could see her electricity course it's way through it's body. It twitched rapidly for a moment, before it righted itself. It shuddered for a moment before taking an impressive looking pose and she had a moment to ponder what it was doing before an image appeared before her eyes. The armor was no longer empty, but an image of herself stood majestically wearing it and seemed both powerful and imposing. After a moment, the image faded and the armor popped itself open once more, this time invitingly. Suddenly, it's attempt to remove her clothing made more sense.

Shani did not let her eyes from her foe, watching armor’s every step. She actually doubled her alertness when her enemy opened itself, inviting her.

And it was a tempting offer indeed.

The magician could see herself, quick as the wind, intimidating… powerful. Her cuts precise, her movement fast and fluid, without any redundant or unnecessary actions. Pure mechanical efficiency.
Was it a trap or…?

Shani gripped her staff tighter. She took once step, two steps, three steps towards her foe…

Suddenly a smirk appeared on her face.

“You’ve gotta be kidding me!” Shani exclaimed and unleashed a powerful wave of bone crushing force.

“My power is mine only! And I will become a great archmage only thanks to my wit and resolve!” She yelled, while pummeling her foe with her blasts.

As Shani unleashed her volley of bone crushing force, the armor quickly closed itself up and scrambled out of the way. It dropped any pretense of trying to move like a human as it bent and twisted in unnatural ways to avoid her attacks. As she continued to send bone crushing blow after blow at it she realized that is was beginning to close the distance again.

"What? No! No, no, no! NO!" Shani yelped, feeling the cold, steely touch of the animated, living armor.

"All was going so well!"

Shani struggled to break free from her foe's grapple.

"It was too fast..." - "Let go of me, you rusty piece of shit!"

The girl remembered how unnatural her enemy twisted, bent, dodged; and this image made her sick... because she imagined what it could do to her if she was inside. Somehow, this repulsive thought in conjunction with fear gave her even more energy to kick, scream and break the hell away from this thing!
