I have to agree with XKGF. We did give valid thought out reasons for our arguments. Good suggestions were given on how to avoid this situation If it is the one you want to avoid. Your response seems like we were purposefully trying to anger/troll you when we were not. I do also hope to see this story continue because I did think it was well written and intriguing up to the point you rage quit. I am sorry our arguments for our points made you angry but you must realize we were making those argument so you see where our trains of thought were coming from. if you do continue the story then awesome. if not then I guess thats too bad for us and wish you good luck on your next endever.

For future reference, if you're going to offer an 'other' option, remember that people might want anything. And sod's law dictates that a choice you're entirely unprepared to write is likely to come up nine times out of ten. It also helps if you take the votes as a guideline and go for a situation that best fits the majority, even if it isn't quite one of your options. If you're not prepared for them then explicitly state that you won't accept hybrid votes.
Also also, clarity is key. People like seeing where a result came from. I imagine that it'd help if you get someone else to help test and streamline the system you use for stats/rolls etc before making it public, given that nobody finds it easy to see problems with their own work.
All ^ this ^ came from me reading other CYOAs for a fair time and looking at both what was popular and what I liked to see, I'm no writer and make no pretence of being one ^_^

I'm wondering why there isn't a game over penalty restart... It would make it harder on Zoey to progress.. Or it could even benefit..
IE: GO Penalty - Zoey feels as if she just wakes up from a bad dream at the last checkpoint (or in this case - start) she remembers old memories coming from her past.. She knows how to shoot an smg (Preference and a bit of skill added in now). But she had blocked out the memories as the vibrations from the SMG made her slowly become aroused as she shot it.. I have offered "Other" as a choice. You insisted on pointless dicking with a dead zombie where it was clear that there will be many other opportunities for sex later. As a writer I didn't want to write another sex scene so soon because that kills the game part which should be more important.
I warned you that it is not in her character, and I hope that you will agree that I should know the character better since I was writing it.
It is not easy to write a CYOA, and in order to adapt this particular game universe so that a single character doesn't get overpowered by enemies you have a lot of brainstorming and razor balancing to do. It is a challenge I gave myself and I pursued it in my free time which is not something I have in abundance.
I had a lot of plans for the story development and frankly none of them involved such a banal "sex for the sake of sex' approach.
How do you respond instead by not getting the votes you wanted? You rage/quite the CYOA and kill off the character, for no reason other than to shove our votes back in our faces.

Restart from chapter beginning might be a little overkill.. Especially if Zoey dies right before the chapter ending and having to restart all the way from the beginning would be annoyingly challenging. Since if you do it that way, then you will have to rewrite out encounters with different mobs but nearly same building coverings, and coverage.. That would be somewhat repetitive.
As for me blaming myself for this.. Well I was literally lurking around your story, offering no votes or input.. Well not at least till I found a vote I was interested in voting on. Still, what systems did you have in place for the encounters? Were you using a set of rolls or were you simply going by game choice with some choices being auto losses while other choices are auto wins while yet again, other choices would just prolong and stall out the battle?
I just want to say one thing : there was surely votelock (if people who have been shot [yeah, we've been shot ^^] haven't changed their first impression) (4 - 4). It's sadder now

Sorry, but that is how the real Left 4 Dead game works (I can't remember how many times I died in front of safe house door and had to replay from the beginning). That is also why I wanted to avoid it. In the real game, if you stand too long in one place the Director (game AI) spawns a mob, or three specials (boomer, hunter, smoker) to force you to keep moving towards the goal (safe house).
The Tank doesn't spawn this early in the campaign (only in Versus), but I did it to get the point across -- Zoey CAN die if she wastes time and does stupid things.
Instead of tank I could have spawned a mob or specials, but it would take more turns to write that, and the outcome would be the same.
It is sad that people didn't want to play just a bit more seriously instead of wanting to fuck everything, furniture included.

My original idea was to follow the game story progression as close as possible.
