Well it can't really hurt to check this trashed place out.
Vandi began to go around the houses, or more of what was ever left of them.
All trash. Even the wood was too old and weather beaten to be any use for fletching. Broken tools, broken buckets.. All trash.
When she came across the last house she had not checked, something took her notice.. Even though all the items there were trash like rest of the other places, this house had a trapdoor on the floor. Must be a basement!
Should be worth while to check, as basement items are safe from weather.
Vandi opened the trap door.. She looked down, it was dark.
From the darkness, eight red eyes looked back at her.
"NOPE"
Vandi slam the trapdoor back down and backed down, but once you disturb a creature like this, they ain't backing down.
The trapdoor flinged right on open and from it crawled a large black spider. It was about the same size as Vandi, though side ways more of.
It let out a hisss as its crawling legs kept clicking about as it kept its all eight red eyes on Vandi.
Luckily Vandi has distance.. but should she fight this thing? It could be poisonous..
A) Fight it! (input things here if you wish to)

Meanwhile somewhere far away...
A rather posh horse carriage is riding by through a canyon. The rider of the posh cart was a rather young human female. Inside the carriage there was two well dressed ladies. A lizardkin, and an elf, both with semi large busts that were held back by their fancy outfits.
"What an annoying bumpy road she picked up, ugh"
"Hey, don't worry about that, the party we're heading to is gona be all worth it"
"Compensating this road can be bit hard"
"he he he"
The sight inside the canyon started to shift to a bit threatening as they went on downwards. Next to the cart there seemed to be rather wide and deep ravine that followed the side of the road. Luckily the road was wide and the driver pretty good so only thing that ravine was there for was to look intimidating.
Oh so they thought.
It was all of a sudden as the girls felt their carriage being shook around. There was a loud shriek, and the horses had gone crazy, galloping away randomly.
The kart fell to its side ways, as the girls took a good hold on the soft benches.
The rider screamed in horror and for a reason. The girls bushed the side door of the cart open..
They saw as a giant grey tentacle creature had grappled the driver holding her right up in the air. The creature took the driver with it and jumped down deep to the ravine.
The elf slowly climbed out of the kart..
"Oh gosh.."
The lizardkin was still in the kart, she had ducked down inside.
"...Viki? What are you still doing there?"
"Hang on Linda, just taking some precautions."
Viki jumped out, on her back there was a rather familiar steel halberd and on her waist there was a shed with bolts and a crystal crossbow.
"I didn't know you still had those!"
"Well I've actually been carrying them with me for long time actually.. I've just been hiding them from you, cause I kinda figured you've enjoyed our new life so much, being reminded from the encounters we had back then probably wouldn't have been nice.."
Linda giggled a bit.
"Well actually you see.."
Linda raised up her posh dress..
she had two sheds on her legs, one had a crystal wand and other had the black scary looking dagger she has never used.
"I'm no better in that regard."
Viki blinked a bit. As she smiled widely.
"Oh Linda, this is why I love you."
The two girls were still kinda lost, they had relied on their driver to know the roads and all, with no map, and low supplies, they'd have to find a town fast. But there's still these grey creatures lurking about..
Time will show what will happen to the girls.

The spider was slowly and carefully moving closer to Vandi. It was clear this thing has some serious reflexes. Vandi kept her distance, and backed down as the spider was trying to get close.
Both of the fighters were carefully waiting for their opponents move.
Vandi has enough and stepped forward, as the spider did the same. She prepared herself and cast shadow scythe as she attempted to slice the left side of the spider right up! But this spider was more agile than she expected.
(-25 mana)
Indeed, this spider dodged the attack like it wasn't even trying. It retaliated by jumping right on Vandi.
"Aaa get off get off!..!!"
Vandi flailed about as the spider was right on her, but she just fell right on the ground. The spider right on top of her, its eight eyes right near face staring at her face. The spider's mouth was dripping from liquids she didn't even want to know about.
Her instincts kicked right on in, from the panic she flinged the spider with all she got and got back up. The spider fly through the air and slammed to the ground. It did not take long for it to get back to its feet though.
"Alright.. Meelee, not good idea."
Vandi prepared her bow. She quickly shot an arrow towards the spider.
But missed as the darn thing missed it again.
It was moving towards her rather fast..! She fired again and was able to hit the thing on the round back.
It hisssed a bit, but it didn't slow it down much. But it was obvious the spider had lost something alright, its attempt of attack failed so hilariously it almost looked like it would have been attacking something invisible.
"Allow me to put you out of your misery"
Linda prepared her bow once again and fired towards the spider.. And missed.
"Oh for the love of... "
The spider turned towards Vandi once again.. But it did not charge like last time. Instead it spit silky web. Vandi was not able to get away in time.
The sticky web shot hit Vandi right on her mid body. The spider clicked its front legs about as it made the web spin tightening around her, it was trying to move it downwards..
"Ooh. Tight.. But sticky"
She was tempted to let the spider go on and bind her right on up.. But no, this is a spider. It might just make her an cocoon and a dinner.
Vandi sliced the web off by taking her iron dagger from its shed.
The spider was bit disappointed looking, well as much as a spider can be. Vandi just figured it was disoriented enough from the damage before as it was acting weird.. She jumped towards it.. and stabbed it right in the head. It was surprisingly easy, the spider did not seem to dodge. Guess the webbing got it distracted.
With one last hiss, the spider leaking its slimy gooey yellowish green spider blood collapsed on the ground.
"Well that wasn't so bad."
Vandi cleaned the spider blood off from the blade and from herself as it had splattered a bit.
The spiders web took her interest. She looked at it a bit trying it out on her hand bit more. Seems like perfect material for replacing feathers on arrow making. She salvaged a bit off the web, tying it around a stick and putting some leafs on it to make sure it wont stick to other things.
It was time to move on.
