Linda lighted up a firebolt(-13 mana) on her palm and hold it up.
The sight got slightly better as the fire absorded some of the mist away, it was still unclear what was in the island.

As Viki slowly moved the boat closer and Linda tried to make out what was out there.. The shadowy movement seemed to go away as they got closer from any direction there is. Infact Linda got slightly anoyed, and just told Viki to land in.
As they landed in with Linda still keeping the bolt in her hands, they heard a splash sound come at the opposite direction of em. Guess whatever there was in here decided to swim away.
Though it seemed the mid of the small island had something going on it.. There was a pile of dirt, it seemed whatever the things were here had digged something here judging by the markings around. The dirt was very soft, it should be easy enough to dig by hands
Weirdly, there was no other tracks around..

In any case, B, we've abused our relationship with Viki enough. Besides, by the time we see anything they'll be close enough for Viki to have the advantage over Linda.
A! Vikki has strength! Hmmm actually it would be a better idea for linda to go digging because if something pulls them down, vikki has more strength to pull up Linda.. But yes to the glove touches.

Viki just looked at Linda a bit funnily but started to dig the soft ground..
Linda kept her eyes open and looked at the surroundings.
Viki seemed to finally found something at the soft ground! It was soft, slimy, cyan..- "Oh shi-"
Viki was able to jump away just in time as a large tentacle bursted from the spot she digged up.
Linda jumped a bit but tossed her firebolt at the tentacle that popped from the ground, but due of her hustle she missed terribly as the bolt just fly off to distance.
The water slightly behind the girls at the edge of this island bubbled a bit, as two tentacle creatures jumped towards them!
"Look out!" Viki yelled, but it was too late.
A tentacle creature jumped right on Linda and pinned her to the ground.
The other tentacle creature seemingly did not get so much speed on its jump, as it was approaching Viki, she was able to easily slash it as it was in the air, right in its mid section, slicing the thing in half!
"Get off! Get off!"
Linda struggled and tried to get the slippery creature off of her, and somehow, managed to roll away from it.
The tentacle creature that was in the ground came out at its full size, my, it was big! Like seriously big. It's tentacle's were about as thick as the avarage thigh size of man.
It lunged a tentacle towards Viki once again. Viki however had a small bit of rage build inside her, this thing reminded her bit too much of the one she had to thank for the pregnancy before.
"HAAAARGH!"
Viki jumped right above the tentacle as it lunged to the ground and sliced her sword right deep into the large tentacle creature. It shrieked in pain as slime bursted everywhere. Viki pulled her sword out, she really sliced the thing deep.
The large tentacle creature shaked a bit, as Viki jumped off of it, it collapsed to the ground.
Linda was pretty much speechless. As she stared at the sight.
The remaining tentacle creature shook in fear and attempted to run.
Linda snapped out and saw the creature trying to escape, loaded up a fire bolt and tossed it right towards it.
It hit the creature but it seems like it didn't hurt it as much, infact it seems like the creature took advantage of the splash and used it as a boost to get to the water faster.
".. Holy crap Viki, what was that about?"
Viki took breath heavily "Well, it just.. You know, looked like that, that, one. And I kinda.. Well, raged"
Either way, looking at around the small island, there really wasn't much to go about anymore, just slime everywhere. The fog and mist overall started to clear out..
It seemed like the large creature had something pop inside it. A crystallic sphere that had cyan glow coming out of it.. Linda felt it was magical, but had not seen anything like that.

The mysterious fellow had stopped on the fields next to the sign posts as their horse rested tied to the said signs..
This fellow was studying various files, even the same map Viki and Linda has seen at the council advisor before.
The browsing of thise files however was interupted as the fellows mysterious amulet began to glow cyan..
