3 and A. The way I see it, casting enough arcane bolts to run us out of mana means that we're doing it wrong and slowfall isn't likely to be particularly useful all the time. Haste, however...
Also, we can always eat the nice lizardkin if we get hungry

One day ago in Cindercliff
In this once glorious city which used to be filled with life, now with splashes of blood and slime, and ragged buildings, a mysterious character slowly rode the main street with its black armored horse.. This character, whom gender was untellable, was appereantly wearing heavy steel armor, covered by long ragged black robes which covered its face and body, only showing the steel gaunlets and feet of the steel boots.
The character stopped near the magic college of Cindercliff and dropped off its horse. "Stay here my friend.." the character stepped in the outergate.. The yard was filled with dead human male students and several pools of slime were around it. The character kneeled and took a tip of the slime on its metallic finger. ".. Purple. Could they found it? No, they don't even know about it.."
The character walked inside the main building. The entrace hall was dark, many candle stands were broken or fallen over, chairs were tossed over, books here and there, pools of slime and blood, black impact spots off spell damage.. General mess with signs of battle. The character looked around.. there were bodies of teachers and students scattered all around.. But only one of them finally took this characters attention.
"Ah, principle Cryx. You once told me I could only have it over your dead body.."
The character kneeled towards the dead principle, whom was leaning to a wall, the wall which was splattered off this long bearded old mans blood..
The character took a black gemmed 'n' chained amulet from the breast pocket of the principle's dark blue gold trimmed robes..
"And I have to admit, you were right. It's mine now"
As the character put the grim amulet on its neck, the near by pools of slime, started to glow..
".. Ha. ha. ha." It's laughter echoed the empty halls of the college..

Writing by mobile is a hassle, so I make it short (a longer feedback may come in time ^^) >:|
I think you fare pretty good. RPG+hentai, where it can go wrong? I like the character we choose. I'm not a fan of lizard people (or other anthropomorphs) but meh, to each it's own. Overall, I find this a good CYOA I like to follow ^^
Oh, and I for one, would out of sheer curiosity wouldn't mind hearing about your plans in the forest (especially the one about resting _^_).

What ifs;
During the slime encounter,
Direct with spam;
The slime would've been killed, but Linda would've lost a large chunk of mana.
Direct with conserve;
Linda would've ended up getting fucked by the slime, as it would've pinned her down with ease making her unable to cast the bolts.
Climbing the tree;
This would've most likely ended badly regardless of choice, I would've randomizes a chance that Linda wouldn't either;
1. Get in the tree at all and fall, alerting the slime.
2. Making too much noise while climbing, by getting stuck to branches, cursing, rustling.. alerting the slime
3. Getting to the tree.
On attack phase either;
1. slip and fall.
2. snipe the thing succesfully (if careful)
3. The slime drops Linda down, via either spamming some slime balls at her or shaking the tree.
4. Slime comes up to Linda and forces her down.
Shooting the bush would've either;
1. Alerted a tentacle beast to attack you
2. You killed an innocent rabbit, you monster
Getting to the deeper parts of the woods earlier, via using energy ring after the tentacle beast or only picking handful of the berries would've caused Linda to find the nest, and then to fight off tentacle beasts (most likely losing)
Getting into the deeper parts via ignoring earlier events could've also caused finding the nest and possibly less chance of getting attacked by the tentacle beasts, but getting there would've been very diffucult, and thus this option is actually good that it never happened.
If you would've chosen rest, either;
1. Linda would've seen a nightmare about a tentacle encounter.. and then found out she'd been captured by one again.
2. Linda would've been lucked out and woken up with no trouble.
3. The lizardkin adventurer could've found her, woken her up and then events could've gone differently.
Biting the tentacle near the face would've caused Linda to also get analled by a similiar tentacle as in the keeping the mouth closed.
All climbing options could've ended a bit badly, but not too badly. Would've most likely forced em to take a break where an enemy encounter event could've occured.

As Linda's magical potential grew, she felt her spell, Haste, to be a bit easier to cast than before.
After the meal, Linda turned towards the lizardkin;
"So I, never actually caught your name.."
"Oh, you can call me Viki. " She replied
"Okay, Viki, I, uhh..." Linda hesitated a bit, as she was unsure whenever to ask this or not, cause really, she only met Viki today..
"I was thinking.. if.. You'd want to team up with me? I heard you were investigating the tentacle threat aswell, so we kinda have the same quest.."
Viki thinked a bit.. "Well.. Normally, I'm used to go around alone... But.." Viki looked at her current wear.
"Honestly, with my current gear, and the fact that you saved my life showing promising magical potential.. You would make a nice team mate, so sure, lets team up!"
"It's a deal!" And the ladies shook hands.
They stood up from the table, and Viki went to pay the bill to the innkeeper, who gave her a smile.
Linda and Viki would then move to the center of the town and think their next move..
A) Lets departure to Cindercliff.
B) Lets continue the road down from the town. Hopefully hitting a new town to buy gear from.
C) Look through the empty houses in this town, gotta be something in here.
