Re: Who Rules the Ruins (Ubberific) GMed by ranger

Looking to Rhea Rikke could see her yellow eyes in the dark it was almost erie in away and it made the rogue briefly wonder what her eyes looked like in the dark. She had little time wonder though as Rhea beckoned Rikke over. "Rikke my boys are in to much heavy armor to sneak round effectivly I need you to check and scout ahead." Rhea looked at Rikke in a stern manner. "If you find Reginald don't attack him. I mean it Rikke he's to much to fight alone and I will need your help to take him down. I know you want it bad but don't let it rule your actions it would be a shame if he escaped because of a slip up." Rhea looked at Rikke with a serious gaze. "Besides he took someone away from me to Im not gonna let you have all the fun."

Rikke thoughts on he latest admission where her own and whether or not she would heed Rhea's advice/order was her to determine as well. Still scouting would be a good idea they where already outnumbered no sense in running in blind. Rikke could see three doors from her position. One was a set of double doors with moonlight filtering threw the cracks the second was a smaller door that Rikke barely made out from the shadows and the third was average size door with a small pool of candle light at the bottom.

"I-I know Rhea..." Rikke lowered her gaze at the warnings of any foolish heroics, the bastard was exceptionally strong and chances were the girl couldn't take him on on one... but when she finally finds him who knows what might happen.

Rikke cleared her throat "You can count on me" the rogue winked slyly at her ally and eyed her options. When sneaking it was always best to take the most indirect route, though the door likely leading outside seemed tempting the girl choose to use the smaller door, it was relatively the safest. "Be right back..." Rikke smiled warmly at her allies and proceeded forward, hopefully the small door won't lead somewhere nasty.

Rolls:
Rikke Stealth: 41 vs 37, 35 success!

Rikke opened the shadowy door and found herself in a little office long sense abandoned. Thankfully her night vision was excellent do to some unintended gifts granted from her adventures. At first the rogue was slightly dissapointed but soon found another door at the back of the office. Pressing her ear up to the door she could hear to voices discussing their latest bout of fun with the whores. Thankfully the guards didn't notice or didn't care that they might be overheard and discussed in great detail about their next conquest. Judging by the distorted voices Rikke felt the two guards where standing on the flanking sides of the door she was at.

Well it sure didn't take long for the girl to run into a dead end. Sure 2 guards would be rather easy targets and judging by their discussion they were all alone there, but a scout shouldn't engage in combat. Heck what if one of those two had a rifle, their stealthy mission would end faster than it started.

Rikke paused a moment to think things through, the guard positions were rather preplexing, this route didn't seem to see much action so why were they positioned as if guarding the entrance to this hall? At any rate, due to the two men careless discusison Rikke had some info on what the Black Cloaks were planning to do next, intel that could prove useful for Rhea. But before heading back Rikke gave the room one more scan, perhaps she could travel forward via other means.

Rikke perception: 53 vs 50 success!
Rikke stealth: 35 vs 37,29 fail vs 1

It was indeed confusing two guards at a little used entrance it did seem a little odd still Rikke decided to search the office one last time. Looking over the contents of the room Rikke soon found a lock box under a battered desk. The lock box itself looked in far to good a condition to be left over from the invasion which probably meant it was a recent addition to the place. Rikke's curious and somewhat greedy nature caused her to pop open the box its lock being no match for the skilled rogue. Inside she found a pouch of money and some paper work. Both items where interesting some more so than others but she did have a scouting mission to do she could always stash them away and get them later it was up to her. Which ever route she decided it wasn't long before a pile of books that had been partial supported by the box gave way crashing to the ground causing one of the guards to speak. "What was that?" Rikke's heart stopped a moment. "I didn't hear a thing Phil." There was a brief moment of silence before the other guard spoke. "Goff you wouldn't hear the whore screaming your name in the sack if it ever happened. Im gonna check it out." Rikke saw the handle turn but nothing happened. "Dammit Goff give me the fracking key." The sounds of a light chuckle echoed threw the door. "Here you go Phil though Im telling ya nothing would be daft enough to sneak in threw that goblin shit hole." Well that would explain the smell Rikke thought but soon her attention was drawn to the sound of key being fitted to a lock the time to act was now.

Re: Who Rules the Ruins (Ubberific) GMed by ranger

Rikke opened the lockbox to find a decent sum of denarii and some papers "What do we have here..." the rogue quickly skimmed the newly obtained documents, but being the clutz she can be the girl managed to loosen some of the books making some minor racket... more than enough for one of the guards to take notice.

With the door soon unlocked, well the jig was up. Time for some old fashion hack and slash action!

If it still counts as a sneak attack Rikke strikes down the fella entering, if possible silently... also if possible stealth attack lightning strikes? <,<

If not stealth Lightning strikes! 2 on the one who entered 1 on the other guy.

Re: Who Rules the Ruins (Ubberific) GMed by ranger

Rolls:
Rikke Stealth: 42 vs 30,31 success
Rikke Attacks all sneaky like: 2 auto hits on Phil he dies but damage rolls for the masses 104dmg
Rikke attack Goff auto Hit! 65 dmg Goff dies

Phil opened the door and looked in trying to spot what had made the noise he had heard. Sadly the person who made the noise was already waiting for him. With a cold stare Rikke lunged making two quick cuts in the mans neck severing his arteries and larynx before she rolled up to the wall and shoved her blade threw it and into Goff who only stood for a moment looking at the blade sticking out of his chest dumfounded at the fact he was dieing before sliding to the floor as his buddy fill fell to his knees grasping at his throat in a futile attempt to stop the bleeding before he as well expired leaving Rikke free to proceed.

"And I'm the daft one?" Rikke looked over the massacre, deep down a horribly uneasy feeling tore at her, but these men have Jessica and all are murderers and rapists... she shouldn't feel bad should she? With a quick flick of her hand Rikke cleaned the blood from her silver sword, hopefully noone will notice the mess...

Still if she already started the slaughter no need to keep the wargs away, might aswell secure the forward front. Rikke decided to quickly run back and call the wargs forward before advancing.

There was indeed lost of blood everywhere but Rikke did her best to ignore it and went back to report to Rhea. Opening the door from the office Rikke could see the Wargs still in their positions while Rhea knelt down a small glowing light in her hand over a map with a couple of her Sargents. "Rikke did you manage to find an entrances for us?" Rikke spilled the beans as to what happened in the room putting a little shock or awe in Rhea's face. "That quick huh. Well keep scouting ahead Ill have the wargs secure the room you cleared and hallway good work."

"Aye!" Rikke nodded eagerly and ran off back to the room. She'd make an excellent soldier... shame that wasn't her calling. The rogue did her best to ignore the corpses and blood SHE decorated the place with... Jessica still lied further in, though where to go from here.

Re: Who Rules the Ruins (Ubberific) GMed by ranger

A few wargs followed her to the room and began to take care of the bodies leaving the lock box that Rikke had discovered completely alone. From this room the door opened up into a hallway with another door just down the way and on her right that looked like it lead to the room where Rhea and the rest of the Wargs we stationed. The left part of the hall looked liked it lead up some stairs with another Hallway joined to this one. Rikke had three choices to go left and up or to the new hallway or to see what lay to the right.

Re: Who Rules the Ruins (Ubberific) GMed by ranger

As a thief and adventurer by trade ofcourse Rikke sneaked the "lil something extra" denarii she found earlier into her pouch. They won't need it and hardly anyone will miss it.

Rikke looked over her further options, going further down the halls was a viable option, but upstairs was surely the way to go. At best it would lead the rogue into the high-ups chambers, exactly where she was heading. Otherwise she could perhaps scout out the building from a higher vantage point. Rikke nodded once to the wargs and sneaked up the stairs.

Rikke Stealth: 40 vs 39, 40 success

Rikke made her way up the stairs being very quiet. Unfortunately for the rogue the stairs had another idea. Just as reached the mid point one of the boards squeaked loudly. "Goff you fat pig its not time for my watch yet Ill be down when Im good and ready!" Rikke froze thankfully the guard didn't look down the stairs and assumed it was one of the other fellows she had dispatched. "Hey Goff if you get me a beer from storage I might go on watch early." What to do what to do.

Rikke mutely drew her blade as she looked up the stairs in predatory gaze. So another guard stood in her way... for the time being atleast, perhaps she could catch him with his back turned. With deadly intent Rikke slowly crept up the stairs, time to decorate this room too.

Be it stealth or not Lightning strikes! The ultimate go-to skill :D

Rolls
Rikke perception: 44 vs 40 success!
Rikke stealth: 42 vs 32,30 success!

Rikke crept up the stairs slowly watching her footing closer this time. She had vengeance on the mind but her survival instincts took hold first. Pausing a moment Rikke clearly heard many booted foot falls easily 10 or more going up their would be suicide well not with out back up anyway. It was an interesting situation to say the lest better to at lest see what she was up against. creeping ever so slowly Rikke was finally able to get a peak at the room. It was completely open with numerous beds lined up on either side. Ducking back down quickly Rikke revised her count there must be at least 15 men up there all armed and ready for battle. This perplexed Rikke to no end why where all the men armed upstairs and why where there two guarding an entrance that they assumed no one would use.

'Yikes...' Rikke looked over the sight, seemed she stumbled into the sleeping quaters. Entering the room would be flatout begging for trouble, best to make a stealthy retreat and inform Rhea.

Re: Who Rules the Ruins (Ubberific) GMed by ranger

Rikke beat a hasty but quiet retreat and made her way back to Rhea. Upon hearing the news her ears went flat. "All armed you say?" Rikke simply nodded and Rhea didn't look happy what so ever. "Wargs round it up Reginald is expecting us no doubt he has a trap ready to spring." Some of the Wargs muttered and looked uneasy. "Keep it down now the reason he hasn't sprung his trap yet is we haven't given ourselves away thanks to our sneaky friend here. And this is how we are going to turn the tables on him. Thomas I want you and your squad to burst in the main hallway I will be with you to make it look like we are trying to surprise him. I want the rest of you to hide here we are going to fall back to this position drawing his forces to us. Rikke I want you to hide so when the reinforcements from upstairs join the battle you can get up there and find your friend. Everyone understand? If you have any questions say it now." None of the Wargs said a word leaving Rikke to express her opinion if any.

Re: Who Rules the Ruins (Ubberific) GMed by ranger

"B-but... you'll be outnumbered and in the front. What if they overcome you!" Rikke eyed her allies with concern, but the comment obviously did not stand so well with Rhea as her eyes glinted with pride "Who--" Rikke almost rudely interupted the girl "DO WE have any explosives or other ways to bring down the floor?" the rogue eyed Rhea almost apologetic in her rude actions, but if Rhea riles her men up there won't be any stopping them. "Since they're on the second floor, what if we bring them down to our level. Via fire and broken wood."

Though that would surely cause alot of deaths, this was in a way a merc war. One has to watch over their own first and foremost "We could decimate their numbers and cause a major distraction at the same time"

Re: Who Rules the Ruins (Ubberific) GMed by ranger

Rhea looked at Rikke a little passing glimpse of annoyance obviosly the Kitsune was not used to being questioned about her orders. "No we don't Rikke and even if we did the explosion could hurt us just as much as them. Have you ever fought in burning building Rikke? Besides what if your mate is up on that floor do you really want to risk that? Trust me most of Reginald's troops are unskilled they will fall for it." Rhea put a hand on Rikkes shoulder. "Thanks for the concern Alpha Rikke but I think my plan has the best chance of success." With that Thomas formed up his squad of 5 wargs and Rhea soon joined them. "Get into position Rikke remember this is a rescue mission." Rhea winked at Rikke before readying herself giving the rogue some time to prepare.

'A rescue mission...' in her frenzy Rikke almost forgot that she was here to rescue Jess not kill Reginald. "S-sorry, Rhea... I just." Rhea only waved of the girls guilt "Meh, forget about it, you meant well. We'll be counting on you." Rikke smiled warmly and nodded at the girl quickly slipping into a particulalry dark corner.

Hopefulluy the wargs know what they're doing.
