Re: Peltas Five Space Station

Ariana smirked slightly, nodding. "And almost in my sleep as well, no less. Pleasure to meet you Julia, I'm Ariana. I don't mind the wait at all, in fact I'm slightly surprised that one of your position would speak to me at all. Thor has helped me greatly, I simply wish to return the favour and be of aid." She said calmly, offering a small bow.

Re: Peltas Five Space Station

One of the crewmates approached Syri and Sylvia, telling them that the preparations and restocking were finished. They were ready to go. Sylvia nodded to the messenger, "Go tell Julia that we're ready. Let's get everyone accounted for and prepare for travel." Sylvia looked to Syri who gave a curt salute before running off to the ship. The messenger did her part, going off to tell Julia. Sylvia took one last look of the space station before returning back to the Saerif.

---

The messenger scurried around in search of Julia, only able to find one of her subordinates. After relaying the message that they were ready, the messenger returned to the ship.

The Saerif was ready.

Julia nodded.

"Thor had mentioned you might wish to, and he also made mention of informing you regarding Atlantis and a desire to possibly travel there. How much did he actually tell you regarding the situation?"

((Well, go fast. :p ))

"Not too much, I'm afraid. It was recently rediscovered, and is in danger of being destroyed as it's power fails. The city itself is a spacecraft, very old and very advanced." The woman answered. "I'm not entirely sure how I can help, but Thor seemed to think I could. Spare hands, at the very least."

Re: Peltas Five Space Station

Julia thought for a moment before she replied.

"To be honest, I'm not quite sure why he thought that either. Evidently he saw or heard something from you that made him feel you brought something worthwhile, and Thor is usually spot on with his reads. Yes, Atlantis is very old, pre-dates our own civilization actually, and may very well pre-date any race in this galaxy still living except for the Asgard. In some regards, if what we have for intel on it is correct, it is more advanced than some of our own technology is. Right now two threats exist to it. One as you mentioned, it's shield is failing and that means without power, it could be destroyed by the ocean it sits inside of. Secondly, and perhaps more troubling, rebel wraith may have it's location. You saw the hive from before that nearly rammed you, so you know how hostile the rebels can be. With such advanced technology open to them ...."

She trailed off, letting the implication sink in.

Ariana nodded slowly, agreeing with the woman. "I'm a decent pilot, but I don't think my ship has the punch to deal with one of those, least not without backup. I'd have to get in close, find a weak spot or something." She answered, going off on a tangent a bit before realizing it, getting back to the matter at hand. "Regardless. Things are a bit more even on a personal level, I'm a bit more capable of handling myself there. If you decide you don't need the help, I could be on my way again, but I like to spend some time awake before going back under too soon, so i'd prefer to stick around in any case."

Julia thought for a moment.

"Well any help you can provide would be appreciated. Things are a bit stretched at the moment to say the least. You'd be traveling by Stargate though, not by ship. Given what we've seen from your ship, not to be rude, but I doubt very much it would stand up to traveling to another galaxy, at least not quickly. Have you ever been through a Stargate before?"

"She's fast in combat, but not built for travelling like that, it's true." The woman admitted, shaking her head at the question. "Don't think so. We used jump gates, but those weren't the kind of things you could traverse without a ship. Like natural wormholes, we used tech to stabilize them. I don't really know the science of it." She explained. "Shall we be off, then?"

Re: Peltas Five Space Station

"You'll be heading in with another group of people who've recently arrived as well. I'll have word sent to them to meet you at the gate room. As for the gateways you are used to, these at least you don't need a ship to use. I do forewarn you though, it might be a little cold until you get used to it, and try to remember, that no matter how much it looks like liquid, you won't drown inside it."

When she was ready, Julia would lead her to the gate room.

((Pretty well set to go soon as Suri is too.))

"Good to know, I'll keep that in mind." Ariana stated, nodding once as she followed Julia to the gate room.

(( Good to go here, yay! ))

Re: Peltas Five Space Station

Returning from it's mission in the Mirton system, the starship Al-Sora arrives back at Peltas 5 Space Station. Slipping out of warp in it's characteristically subtle manner, it broadcasts it's presence to station security, and proceeds to arrange it's docking procedures. Gliding in with naught but a shimmering organic hum from it's hull integrated drive system, it doesn't take long at all before the sleek white vessel is properly docked and opens up to allow it's passengers to disembark.

The ship's service crew works with station medical services to help move the rescued captives to appropriate accommodation; and the others aboard eventually filter out of the vessel to go about their various business. As before, the general station docking bay crew find themselves taking it easy, as the majority of the standard routine procedures and maintenance don't really apply to the strange craft.

Re: Peltas Five Space Station

It was a bit nerve-wracking, allowing the refugees to disembark first, but some of them needed care and medical attention that the Al-Sora could only begin. And though Nessa had a right to hurry off, too, she was still up and sassy, unlike some of the other folk.

"Let's get ya home," Ian murmured to her, hold shifting from shoulders to waist, giving her a very gentle squeeze. "Some sleep in yer own bed'll do ya wonders. Ah've likely got a debriefin' ta go ta, at which point Ah will inform them that you'll makin' yer official report once ya are done with ya nap and had a chance ta get tidied up. Further tidied up," he adds with a chuckle, tugging a little on the borrowed garments.

Pausing only long enough to touch base with Talok and to thank the Etherians again, he'll angle her through the corridors, doing his best to take the path of least resistance, which means getting Vanessa to her quarters without running into too many people expressing glad tidings that she's back.

"Prodigal daughtah returns," he'll mumble after they get caught by a few folk. "We'll have to remembah ta put out yer 'Do not disturb' sign fer a spell."

When they finally reach her door, he pauses, his hand gently chaffing her lower back. "Ah'll be around if ya need me. Take all the time ya need ta rest up." He inclines his head toward the bulk of the station. "The upper half can wait." There's a pause before he makes to head off. "Glad ta have ya back, Nessa."

Re: Peltas Five Space Station

Vanessa smiled lightly.

"Good to BE back finally. I'll swing by once I've woken up again, and thanks for getting me through all the people and here. I'll have to be sure to thank all of them at a later point myself."

With Ian on his way off, she closed the door lightly and he was left to figure out where to go now.

Julia brought Ariana to the gate room, where there were quick introductions between her and those present from the Saerif. Once they had gotten to know each other by name, the gate was dialed, the vortex jumping out somewhat as the connection was established. Julia used a device, speaking into it, likely trying to get a response from the first team.

"Siphon come in, this is Julia."

There was a long pause, and then she spoke again.

"Siphon, this is Julia please respond. We're sending in some additional folks to help secure the city, do you copy?"

After a short period, a frown crossed her features as she turned back to the group.

"Strange, I can't raise him. When you step through, be ready for anything, it's unlike him to not respond, which could mean trouble."

Talok, after briefly speaking with Ian, headed off to locate Sinnve. He wanted to find out more regarding the strange anomaly and creature she had encountered.

Re: Peltas Five Space Station

Ariana followed the woman to the gate room, offering a smile and a nod to the Saerif's crew as she introduced herself. "Ariana, nice to meet you all." She said simply, nodding at each name she got in return.

She stood quietly when the gate was dialed, watching with rapt fascination as the wormhole was created, not having seen the process before. A frown crossed her face when Julia received no answer to her broadcasts, nodding as the woman warned them to remain wary. "Will do. Maybe you should send someone he knows along with us, so he knows we aren't interlopers when we do manage to make contact." She suggested.

When the time came to actually use the gate, Ariana drew a small pistol from where it was nestled in the small of her back underneath her leather duster, holding it lightly in her left hand as she walked up the ramp and into it, leading the group unless one of the Saerif offered to be first instead.

Re: Peltas Five Space Station

((OK with Suri out Ariana will have a few Alveran's with her instead.))

A larger man by the name of Jacobs stepped forward, energy pistol drawn. He spoke with a deep voice.

"Siphon and I go back a number of years. Only Julia and Talok have known him longer than I have. Johnson and I will take point, Ariana come in third with Varnelle, Hughson and James, bring up our six. Only use weapons if it's wraith or seems hostile. We don't want to accidently shoot one of our own or anything that'd cause problems for us, like shooting out a window and making water stream in if the shield has started failing. On three we go, one. Two. THREE!"

With that, he stepped through the gate, vanishing along with Johnson.

The woman nodded along with the plan, stepping aside for the others to pass her before taking her place in line. "Makes sense, lead on." She said simply, following them through on Jacob's count.

Once they were ready, they moved on out, Ariana stepping into the puddle and as she did, the world vanished and for a brief moment, she knew nothing ....

Re: Peltas Five Space Station

Talok's search would bring him to find the Sinnve and the rest of the Etherians sharing a table at a nearby eating place on the station, not too far from the hanger. Along with Sinnve, the three knights were present, as well another man that Talok wouldn't recognise, and also disembarked from the ship for the first time, Ayla sat at the table with them. In the background Talok would be able to spot a few more Etherian crew, judging by their uniforms, sitting at another table.

They had for the most part just appeared to have finished a small meal and were casually talking amongst themselves as Talok enters the room. Ellisia is the first to notice Talok's entrance and looks up to him as he approaches. "Ah, Talok. Is there anything we can help you with?"

Re: Peltas Five Space Station

The wraith nodded ever so slightly.

"I was hoping perhaps Sinnve or one of you might be able to call up the scanner logs from the walker unit. I'd like to take a closer look at anything, video, sensor sweeps, whatever you have regarding that anomaly from earlier. Am I correct in my belief that it simply appeared out of thin air, and then just vanished almost as quickly as it came?"
