If we're just aiming for the circumstances around it being epic, you could have like a T-Rex with laser beam eyes ride a giant asteroid into the face of the earth so that nobody can post due to a small case of death. That would make the thread ending on the post before a GET less epic by comparison though.

Sure that could happen. Not like the possibity than a terrorist hacker decide to blow up the server with a bomb or program than will be activated when someone try to earn the next get.

Thanks guys now I have this image of the world coming to an end. Walls are caving in, bullets and meteors flying around with intermittant explosions. People are screaming and running around flailing their arms. Meanwhile someone is stretching their fingers to the keyboard trying to type "GET"
