Re: Steel Sky (Adelle/Mind Flayer)

The other two girls remained quiet, but seemed to take Adelle's plan into their own and opting to aid her in the task of hampering this thing. Adelle's own shot was nice and succesful, but not really bothering the thing. Rachaela added her part to the mix after adjusting her position, telekinetically hurling a shattered piece of a wooden plank to the same leg, the impalement managing to cause a more serious deterrent. Lacri then took herself forward, sensing an easy strike at the hobbled monster. Still, she underestimated the creature's flexibility, and it pulled out from the way in a similar fashion as it had before. The nun sister's straight went over the creature's shoulder, leaving her open for retaliation. That was exactly what the thing did, uppercutting her in the midsection with a fist and pushing her back to the other two, thankfully missing a follow-up attempt.

Now faced with the trio at a stand-up, the monster moved forward, only barely acknowledgeing the wood splinter and bullet in it's leg. Timing her attack with Adelle's, Rachaela moved back to the more conventional spells, firing an ice bolt with the busty girl's bullet. Seeing the attack coming, the opposition pulled out another remarkable feat of agility, flattening itself on the ground and sliding under the twin attacks before springing up again. Lacri swung at it again, but she was deflected to the side before a massive pimp hand was thrown at Adelle, a harsh slap to the cheek almost turning her around a half-circle. The thing was now among them, up close and personal.

Re: Steel Sky (Adelle/Mind Flayer)

Adelle squeezed the trigger and pumped a bullet straight into the thing's knee, where Rachaela then maneuvered around and used her magic and launched a sharp piece of wood straight at the thing's leg where Adelle put her bullet. She then saw Lacri going at the thing, though her punch went over the creature as it bended itself like Beckham out of the way, then gave an uppercut to her torso and forced her back, though she was able to dodge the follow up to that uppercut.

Adelle watched the creature moving towards them again, the wounds they already dealt it seemingly not fazing it too much as it came at them again. Adelle aimed and fired another bullet at the thing along with Rachaela's magic, yet the thing flexibly twisted around and out of the way of both of their attacks. Lacri also jumped in to attack, yet she too was deflected as the thing swung it arm around and slapped Adelle across the face. When the thing hit her she saw stars in her eyes momentarily as she spun around and rebalanced herself, clutching her cheek with one hand while aiming her gun with the other, she attempted to plug the thing in the head now that it was so close that she was nearly pointblank range.

"T-Take this you fucker," Adelle said through clenched teeth, knowing that they would likely die like the rest of the people here did if they lost.

Re: Steel Sky (Adelle/Mind Flayer)

Indeed, Adelle's aim was much less needed when she was this up close with the monstrous assailant, managing a shot into the thing's cheek. The bullet went in, but the resulting damage only added some further pain into the slowly gathering pile. Rachaela tried out a close-range spell, releasing a short-ranged forward burst of fire, which the monster back-hopped. Still, an opening was presented to Lacri, who stepped forward as the hop was still in progress, sending the creature reeling back with a strong martial arts elbow rush that was augmented by the weight and hardness of her large metal gauntlet. This also served it's purpose to dissuade the oddity from smacking at Rachaela, who it had eyed at that time, apparently satisfied with getting one pimp slap at Adelle.

Another exchange passed between the girls and the stretched-out monster thing, only resulting in more melee damage between Lacri and the opposition as they beat each other up relentlessly. Both Adelle and Rachaela seemed to be having terrible luck, since they didn't really manage to get anything done. This was a somewhat bad thing, since Lacri was getting beaten pretty harshly.

Re: Steel Sky (Adelle/Mind Flayer)

Adelle's aim was true at the closer range just like she thought it would be as her bullet penetrated right into its cheek as the thing was too close to evade. She barely noticed Rachaela using a fire spell of some sort as the thing jumped back and over it. She noticed Lacri's attack on the thing better when she stepped forward as it jumped and slammed her elbow into it as she could see both of them at the same time because Lacri had to get close to attack, while Rachaela was only on the edge of her vision and she couldn't spare the time to glance over at her without risking the thing jumping in and backhanding her again.

She missed her second shot and Rachaela missed her second magic attack, but Lacri managed to give the thing another hit, though it managed to hit her again as well in return. Adelle noticed that Lacri looked rather beaten up by this thing, and this worried her even more so as her and Rachaela seemed to keep missing the damn thing.

Adelle was about to raise her gun and fire again, but she'd been counting her bullets and knew she'd already run out. So she holstered her pistol and drew her new sword from its sheath and took it in both hands as she rushed in close and swung it at the thing's clawed arm, hoping to hack it off so it couldn't take any more swipes at them. She didn't have the time to reload her gun so she knew that she'd be stuck using her new sword until they took it out, after which they would start getting the hell out of this place.

By my reckoning if you've done this by 2 turns or attacks on each time, then Adelle is now out of bullets as she's fired six shots. If not then disregard the last paragraph.

Re: Steel Sky (Adelle/Mind Flayer)

(That is indeed what I have been doing, so the assumption is very much correct.)

With her newly acquired sword in hand, Adelle moved onwards, intent on cutting at the thing's big arm with the razor-like blade. She managed to gouge into it pretty good, Lacri providing a good distraction before getting another harsh elbow in herself. The two of them managed to hurt the thing good, but Rachaela's terrible luck continued as another magical mishap could be heard happening behind them. It had happened yesterday as well, so it was not a new thing to any of the trio. Before any further resistance could be applied against it, the monster smacked Lacri again, sending her stumbling to wall in the side. While she didn't go down, the nun sister remained leaning against the wall with one hand, barely managing to stay on her feet. It looked like she had been wounded as well, for there was a tiny bit of blood that could be seen dropping to the floor under her.

Maneuvering again to place itself better, the creature got to a spot that allowed it to reach both girls if it wanted to, somewhat stupidly also opening an opportunity for Adelle to swing at it. This time, it was smart enough to adjust it's body and take the hit on the other arm, not apparently wanting to get hit more into the already hurt limb. Rachaela continued botching her spells, a failure that turned out to be her downfall in this particular bout. Realizing an opening, the monster lashed out at her, connecting with a gargantuan blow. This sent the mage flying, the sudden trip ending against a locker door which dented heavily under the sudden impact of the girl missile hitting it. Unsurprisingly, Rachaela did not get up after the blow, leaving Adelle against the monster by herself.

Re: Steel Sky (Adelle/Mind Flayer)

(Wow, he must have one helluva left hook to have taken Rachaela from 4 FP to 0 in one hit. And how come didn't they use any healing magics? I thought Rachaela had some, or Lacri? Can't remember which one.)

As Adelle moved in with her sword drawn, her swing at the thing's arm connected as she gouged deep into it, bringing a good deal of blood out with her attack. She saw Lacri get another pretty good shot in herself as well, though Rachaela's magic just seemed to not want to work at all as she messed up her spells again. Adelle was actually beginning to wonder if Rachaela was a novice mage or something as so many of her spells continued missing as she did the same quite a bit the day before as well, though she did also think that she may just have the worst luck known to man as well.

Lacri's luck apparently ran out she saw as the creature smacked her again, which threw her back into the wall, though she didn't fall to the floor Adelle noticed that she was barely able to stand after such a powerful blow, her blood slowly dripping to the floor. She watched as the creature moved around a little, which luckily for her gave her an opening to give the thing another slash, though it turned as she swung and she ended up hitting its other arm instead of the one she was aiming for, but a hit was a hit to her. She barely noticed as Rachaela fucked her spells up again as she was keeping her eyes on her enemy so it didn't get a lucky shot in on her, however she did notice it when the creature quite literally knocked the fuck out of the mage girl and sent her flying across the room, where she slammed into a locker where she hit the floor and didn't get back up, leaving only Adelle to face this thing alone.

"Dammit... you bastard, you'll pay for hurting them. You won't get me that easily. Don't worry girls, I don't intend on running and leaving you, friends don't leave friends behind like that," Adelle said aloud so her friends could hear her, letting them know she wasn't about to leave them as she stared at her foe, ready to fight.

She knew she'd have to stay on her toes and react fast or she'd get taken down too, and she didn't know nor want to know what this thing would do to them if she lost... though she had a pretty good idea from the blood all over the room that it would likely kill them. She couldn't lose though, she couldn't afford to lose, not when her friends were counting on her to protect them. Adelle knew that she had a shorter reach than the creature with its long gangly arms, so she thought her best bet would to stay in as close as she could so its claws could hit her easily, which would hopefully give her an edge over the thing. Once close enough to attack she would attempt to finish off its already severely hurt arm, then she'd try and finish it off.

Re: Steel Sky (Adelle/Mind Flayer)

If the two other girls heard Adelle's words, there was no visible or audible confirmation about it. She thus moved in with her sword, intent on keeping close to the large creature and avoid it's lenghty arms. Surprisingly, this actually proved to be an effective tactic against the monstrosity she was up against, the size of it causing some difficulties in keeping track of the smaller girl. Her initial swipes proved to be mostly ineffective, passing the creature's form completely or grazing it just slightly. But then, fortune got to her side and she found a critcal opening to exploit. With a turnaround, she got right up to the creature's arm, taking a mighty overhead at it and actually managing to complete what she had earlier attempted. The lenghty arm dropped to the floor as Adelle's fine steel severed it, causing a wild roar to erupt from the creature.

Still, it was too early to celebrate. A leg spun from behind the busty girl, tripping her onto her butt and temporarily disorienting her from the situation. It did not stop there, for the remaining arm grabbed her by the ankle before she could get up, and it only got worse from there. With a show of feral power, the thing smashed Adelle's form against the same lockers that Rachaela had hit just moments ago. Now left limp in the monster's grip, Adelle found herself being analyzed by the thing as it held her upside-down be the leg. Apparently not one to simply kill the girl it had captured, the monster lifted her up a bit further, using it's teeth to shred the lower part of the captive's shirt away. Then, a most disgusting thing happened, the attacker decided to take a lick at Adelle's exposed midsection. It was a wet and warm thing, like one would expect. It looked like she would not get away as easily as the other bounty hunters who had been stationed there.

Then, another growl disrupted the mostly silent event that was going on. The crackling of energy, orange-red light and a smell of harsh brimstone were the next things to become detectable. The previous time spent on struggling with the monster had given Lacrimosa enough time to recover, and she was not apparently allowing this to happen. But it was not the nun that Adelle was used to dealing with, but the one she had seen in the mirror. The other Lacri. The demon. "YOU WILL NOT TOUCH HEEEEER!" the infernal version of Lacri called to the ongoing scene, giving the creature only the briefest of seconds to realize what was happening before a torrent of brightly glowing red energy burst forward from the nun's mouth. It caught the creature right in the center mass, forcing it to drop Adelle as it was pushed back. Still, the torrent continued, the screams of the monsters telling clearly that the force that was hitting it was not to be trifled with. It began to corrode under the eroding touch of the stream, and even the busty girl could feel the heat from her spot on the ground. But as some of the energy SPLASHED away from the almost melted thing, some of it hit Adelle's midsection and she realized that it was actually a liquid. It dawned on her pretty much right there what it actually was.

Blood. Superheated blood.

After what was only a few seconds of the burst, there was nothing more than a pair of legs, a stump of an arm and a partially melted hardhat left from the monster that had been attacking them. After confirming that she had destroyed the target, Lacrimosa reverted to her normal form, slumping to her knees. She coughed up some more blood, which still steamed as it hit the ground. "Why... I did it again..."

Re: Steel Sky (Adelle/Mind Flayer)

Adelle didn't really care whether or not Lacri and Rachaela managed to hear her words, as she was focused more upon her foe at the moment. When she moved in she managed to get close enough to avoid its long arms for the moment and stayed close to it, though her swings were easily evaded by the thing in return, bringing them pretty much to a stalemate of missing each other. Then when it tried to jump back from her again, she saw an opportunity and took it as she swiftly moved in and brought her sword down in an overhead swing, using all of the strength she had within her body to swing, and her blade cleaved through sinew, bone, and all as its arm fell to the floor, bringing a roar of pain from the creature.

Adelle knew that she couldn't jump with joy yet and tried to stay focused, though a leg spun around behind her which tripped her and caused her to fall flat on her perky ass. When she hit, she let out a yelp and was a little dazed from the force of impact, but she still tried to get back up anyway. However as luck would have it, the arm the thing had left grabbed her by the ankle before she could scramble back to her feet, then before she could even let out a cry of any sort, the thing then slung her against the lockers it had Rachaela a minute before. The hit practically knocked Adelle senseless and she was left totally limp from the hit, her strength too far gone to resist any further as it held her upside down by an ankle.

"D-Damn you... bastard. J-Just leave them alone... I'm the one you want and... hey! W-What the hell are you doing? J-Just kill me already," Adelle said to the creature as it was looking her over, her voice sounding panicked as the thing ripped her shirt some. When the thing then ran its warm wet tongue up her waist, she then knew what the thing had planned for her.

"Eeewwww, please stop... no... anything but that please. I-I'm still a virgin... I don't want to lose it to something like you dammit," Adelle whimpered out to the thing in a disgusted whine, though she doubted it would heed her words should it be able to understand them.

As the thing continued licking her, Adelle suddenly heard a growl in the otherwise silent room and before she knew it an reddish orange light erupted into the room and she could smell what smelled like... brimstone. She glanced over to see Lacrimosa... or rather the form of her she saw in the mirror from before, the demonic Lacrimosa that is.

When Lacri called out to the beast in her demonic voice, Adelle only got a mere glimpse of Lacri opening her mouth as a bright red burst of something shot out of her mouth towards the thing, catching it right in the center mass. Adelle let out a little yelp as she was dropped to the floor when Lacri's blast pushed the thing back and away from Adelle. Adelle saw the creature corroding at the touch of the beam coming from Lacrimosa as it screamed in agony. Adelle lay there as Lacri's unholy beam continued on and the heat radiating off of it was making her sweat more so than she already was, and a small bit of whatever it was splashed down onto Adelle's skin where her shirt had been ripped away and she instantly realized what it was Lacri was shooting at the thing, her blood.

As Adelle wiped the hot blood off of her skin quickly, she saw that Lacri didn't stop the beam of her blood until the thing was thoroughly melted down to just what was left of its leg and an arm, as well as the hardhat it had been wearing on its head, and though the entire attack from the nun only lasted a few seconds it felt like nearly an eternity to Adelle. When Adelle saw Lacri change back to her normal form and fall to her knees and then start choking up some more blood, she immediately began crawling towards her friend as Lacri spoke, as Adelle didn't have the strength yet to stand.

"L-Lacri... oh gosh are y-you okay? You r-really saved my ass there... literally. I don't know how I can repay you, but if there is anything I can do just tell me okay and I'll do it," Adelle said, throwing her arms around Lacri to hug the once again normal nun, not caring about the demonic side of her as it was her savior from the monster that was she assumed was about to rape her from the licking it was doing before.

I rather liked the update honestly.

It was kind of hard to hug at Lacrimosa, especially once she curled down on the ground. Adelle could feel the heat still radiating from her, apparently the heating of the blood was a bodily process that she had somehow performed in the demon form, but it was still affecting her in the normal body as well. "It's... alright... go and see how Rachaela is doing instead..." the nun girl replied, spitting out another small bit of steaming blood on the ground. "This... will last a bit... but I'll... manage... need to cool down..."

"A-Alright Lacri, as long a you're okay for now sweetie," Adelle panted out to Lacrimosa when the nun told her to go check on Rachaela.

Adelle began crawling her way over to where Rachaela was still laying and when she got there she would gently roll the mage girl over, shaking her gently. "R-Rachaela... are you okay? Come on wake up, we've gotta hurry here before more of those things might show up. You're the only one of us that can use healing magic too, and Lacri is pretty hurt come on," Adelle said to Rachaela as she shook her. Adelle wouldn't stop until she managed to rouse her friend up.

It took her a few minutes, but eventually Adelle work paid off and she managed to rouse the knocked-out mage. The impact had left her bleeding as well, a cut just inside Rachaela's hairline causing a pair of red streaks to flow down her pretty, kind of aristocratic face. "Owww... Fuck that hurt... Feels like my head is going to split... Give me a moment..." she replied, cursing as she got up to a sitting position, holding one hand on her face. It did appear that even she could swear now and then, despite being the most proper from the foursome of sisters."Oh, right. you two managed to deal with the thing... But... I don't think you could have done that..." the mage sister pondered as she gathered herself, seeing the remains.

"I can understand Rachaela, but come on, like I said there may be another of those things around, and I don't think we could handle another that easily. And I don't think I've heard you cuss before," Adelle said to Rachaela, helping her to sit up.

When Rachaela noticed the remains of the creature and spoke again, Adelle glanced back over her shoulder at the remains herself for a moment, then turned back to her mage friend. "A-Actually it kind of beat me too, knocked me down and then slammed me against the lockers here too. But Lacri jumped back up after that and dealt with it. I-It was about to... rape me I think. I think I'd rather it have killed me than that," Adelle said after Rachaela finished speaking again, shuddering at the thought of being raped by the foul creature and losing her virginity to it.

After Rachaela and Adelle had both caught their breath enough, the large busted girl would try and get up, and help Rachaela get up as well so they could check on Lacri a little better and heal her if necessary, as well as each other, because Adelle kind of felt like she had a broken bone somewhere, but wasn't entirely sure.

Oh, did she break out the demon mode? I've seen it happen once before, when we were on a pretty tough job some months ago. Also, yeah, I think I did swear. I try not to, but sometimes it happens." the mage sister told Adelle as she sat there for a bit, eventually getting a magical flow going on her face-clutching hand and proceeding to get the wound that was bleeding onto her face healed. By the time this was completed, Lacrimosa had gotten up to a sit as well, apparently feeling cooled down. Despite Adelle's worries, the outpost had fallen silent after their battle had finished. And when she did try, the busty girl had managed to recover her strenght and was good enough to walk. Since she had concerns, Rachaela did a brief rundown over her form to heal or reveal any possible inner damages, which didn't seem to be there.

Yeah she broke it out... I saw her other form in her mirror at her house last night, but I didn't expect her to have quite that much power honestly. I mean she totally obliterated that thing like it was nothing at all,” Adelle replied to Rachaela.

After that she watched Rachaela heal her wound on her head which by the time she was done Lacri had managed to sit up herself. Thankfully while Rachaela did this they weren't ambushed by anything else, so Adelle thought to herself that maybe that was the only thing there was here that attacked the people holding down this fort.

Adelle found her legs still worked enough to walk and after she recovered her strength enough she was able to get back up to her feet after Rachaela checked her over to make sure she had no internal injuries. Once she was back to her feet, Adelle would help Rachaela up to her feet so they could go check on Lacrimosa.

Hang on Lacri, we're coming,” Adelle called out to the nun where she was sitting as they came to help her up as well so they could get the hell out of there.

Re: Steel Sky (Adelle/Mind Flayer)

The other two girls didn't need to bother with Lacrimosa all that much, since she was up relatively quickly. Seeing a small container in the corner, the nun sister hobbled towards it, peeling away the lid with a quick tear. She looked at it for a while, most likely inspecting the insides before lifting it up. Somewhat surprisingly, she began to drink up from it, the contents turning out to be simple water. Even though it was several liters of water, Lacri chugged all of it down, still getting some steaming reactions as she downed all of the liquid. "Finally... got my normal temperature back..." she mumbled a bit as the container was set back down. It was a somewhat silly sight, like a biological water-cooled engine being stabilized back to normal heat. The whole thing had also left the nun sister a bit wet on the front as the water had leaked onto her from the container, but she didn't seem to mind all that much. From there, it was a simple decision for them to make, whether to inspect around more or retreat back to the city and leave the clean-up to the harder hunter types that would likely be sent there afterwards.

Thankfully they didn't seem to need to help Lacri all that much, as she was up and around just about as quickly as they were. Adelle watched the nun go limp over to a container that she then began drinking down the contents, which scared Adelle at first until she found out that it was just water. Adelle was rather amazed when she saw Lacri guzzle down a few liters of water, and she couldn't help but giggle a little when she saw steam wafting off of Lacri. Adelle saw that by the time Lacri was done she was drenched in water from where it leaked out of the container and down her front.

Are you okay now Lacri? That looked like it took quite a toll on you,” Adelle asked her friend as she pulled her gun back out and reloaded it.

Once she was through reloading and had sheathed her sword, Adelle looked back to her companions, asking, “Well girls... what do we do now? Should we stay and check it out some more? Or head on back and inform Samson of what's happened and then maybe come back with reinforcements? I kind of want to head on back just in case we'd run into another one of those things. I just don't think we could handle any more of them. But at the same time I want to stay in case there's others that may still be alive and we're their only hope,” Adelle said, looking out the door to make sure nothing else came at them before they could make a decision.

"Sure, I'm fine... not superheated anymore..." Lacrimosa replied, the heat no longer radiating from her like it had before. As for the plan they should have, both of the girls seemed to agree on leaving once they took brief glances back at the remains of the creature. It would be better off that they left it to the more expert people. Leaving the murky building behind them, the trio headed back to the town, eventually finding themselves at the bar once again. The place was beginning to become a regular visiting spot for them, but not without a good reason.

"C-Come on then girls, let's get the hell out of here," Adelle replied to Lacri as they all got back to their feet, all agreeing that they should get the hell out of there.

After they took a minute or so to look over the remains of the creature, Adelle and the others left as quickly as they could, not wanting to stick around much longer than they had to. They managed to make their way back to town, and then the bar rather quickly considering. As soon as they were back in the bar, they immediately headed over to Samson, with Adelle ordering herself a strong drink as she passed the barman.

"Samson... we don't know what the hell happened out there exactly, but the place was like a ghost house, nobody was there at all from what we saw. We looked around a bit and just as we were about to go up the tower and check it out, this... thing, or... something came out at us. It managed to hurt Lacri a bit, and knocked Rachaela out, and pretty much me too... and I think... I honestly think it was about to try and rape me. Lacri managed to save me though and finished the thing off. After that we hightailed it back here to let you know what was going on," Adelle said to Samson when they got over to his table to fill him in on what all had happened, letting Lacri and Rachaela fill in any blanks she missed as she grabbed her drink and chugged it down, ordering another one.

Re: Steel Sky (Adelle/Mind Flayer)

The ordered drink arrived in front of Adelle as she explained the scenes that had just occurred, the other one arriving when Rachaela filled in other things like the creature's looks and such. "Sounds like it's been a rather serious event. I'll be sending out the investigators tomorrow, and they will get to the bottom of this no matter what it takes." Samson told the three as they finished their report about the suspicious outpost. Like he had promised, the old man handed the girls their pay before gesturing someone to the table. A slightly scruffy but still very dangerous-looking man came over from a nearby table to have a talk with him. He wore some camo in his attire, which combined with the way he handled himself to show a clear sign of hard training in combat. Two different guns could be seen on him, a holstered pistol and a more prominent small assault rifle his back. One eye was covered underneath an eyepatch, but a scar was still plainly visible under it. "Alright, you got another job. Bring out the squad and go clean up the outpost I mentioned earlier. Payment will be the usual." Samson told the man, who only gave a brief grunt and nod before retreating to the table where he had been earlier.

While this brief conversation happened, Rachaela was quick to enlighten Adelle about the person who they were seeing in whispered tones. "This man is Sergeant Saito, the leader of the most notorious hunter group around. Despite some of their questionable methods, the Red Hawks have estabilished themselves a reputation around this city." she passed on some info as the man left them.

Re: Steel Sky (Adelle/Mind Flayer)

After Adelle finished her part, and her first drink, she sighed as her second drink came while Rachaela was explaining all she hadn't. While her mage friend spoke, Adelle downed her second drink, hoping it would calm her nerves after what all had happened. Adelle took the pay offered by Samson with a slightly shaky hand and put it in her pocket, which would let them all know she was still a bit shaken up by what all had happened out there.

When she saw Samson gesture over at someone, Adelle looked over to see who it was and saw a dangerous looking man with an eye patch come over to the table. When the rugged man came over so Samson could speak to him, Adelle suddenly lost any shaky feeling she'd had about what happened at the outpost and sat up a little straighter in her seat. She had her elbows up on the table and her chin resting on the back of her right hand as she stole a few shy little glances over at the newcomer, thinking he was quite handsome with the rugged look he had. She couldn't help but admire and daydream about the strong and experienced looking man from where she was sitting, though if he or Samson looked over at her, she was still not so out of it and in her own little world that she wouldn't notice, and as such she would quickly look away so they didn't see her staring back.

When Rachaela whispered over to her, Adelle jerked slightly in fright, as Rachaela's whisper brought her out of her daydream she'd been having about the man. “What the... oh Rachaela, you kind of scared me there. So that's his name huh... he's kind of... well... handsome,” Adelle whispered back to Rachaela as sergeant Saito went back to his table, then she suddenly blushed crimson at her own words as her eyes went wide, and she quickly stuttered out to try and cover up what she'd privately been thinking about the guy, “I mean h-he l-looked pretty s-strong y-yeah. I'd h-hate to have to m-mess with him a-and his group.

Adelle new it was already too late to take back what she'd said, so she shook her head a little and looked back over at Samson. “S-So Samson... was there anything else you want us to do by any chance?” Adelle asked the old guy, trying to avoid having to talk to Rachaela about what she'd said moments before, or avoid it at least until they'd left so nobody else heard her save her friends.
