====Bio====
Name: Stephanie

Age: 20

Level 0 Trait: Steph is a pleated skirt wearing, pink-hilted katana wielder!

Description: Stephanie is quite chic, or at least she thinks so. She likes to wear contrasting colors and smooth, flowing clothes that complement her soft body. Right now, she's wearing a loose black off-shoulder blouse and a vibrant pink pleated skirt. Stephanie has long, silky blonde hair with french braids mixed in her locks, giving her a hint of wild uniqueness but not totally drama-club unique. Her eyes are a deep and penetrating blue. Stephanie's physique is quite feminine, soft, and curvy.

Attitude: Stephanie has a sweet and playful personality. She is inclusively gregarious, meaning that she is quite reserved in large groups of unknown people but unable to shut her mouth with small groups of close friends. While a lot of her friends go out to sorority keggers, Stephanie stays home with her close-nit roomie, on whom she has a massive crush. She plays video games with her, watches cheesy romantic comedies, and the Conan O'Brien late show. She wasn't a huge Conan fan at first, but she gave in for her roomie. It was pretty much just a breaking-the-ice gesture between new friends when she met her roomie. In other words, she didn't have a choice, but that lanky guy was starting to grow on her. While attending a fancy liberal arts college, Stephanie is a dual major in Philosophy and the Classics, thus having no hope of getting a real job once she graduates. Her real passion in life, beyond friends and family, is video games. When she heard about the beta test of the new EGG game, Stephanie could hardly contain her excitement. An immersion virtual reality game where anything you dream of can come true? Amazing! The little blonde mostly wanted to play the game to have fun, but who knows? Maybe she could get her hands on one of those precious video game tester jobs along the way! Killing two birds with one stone while having fun. What could possibly go wrong?!

*********************************************************
*********************************************************

Wowzers, that had been fast.

It had been just a week ago, during a procrastination session to avoid starting on her philosophy paper that Stephanie had stumbled onto and subsequently signed up for the beta tester application for Chamber Corp's new EGG virtual reality game -- designed for mature adults. Virtual reality had seemed too cool to pass up, and after many double clickeys and a small form sent in, she'd been good to go, just waiting for a reply to see if she'd gotten in. Now, she held the acceptance for beta testing in her hands as she walked through the door of the large brick building with big yellow block letters reading CHAMBER CORP loudly declaring its identity above the front entrance way.

Inside she met with a pleasant looking clerk at the desk who checked her papers and had her sign a form that said she knew she would be hooked up to an alternate reality device and volunteered for this knowingly. Soon enough a polite attendant woman with dark wavy hair came through the double doors leading to the back area and called Stephanie's name.

"Hi, right this way please. My name is Anne, and I'll be your beta test monitor. Basically I'll be outside the EGG device, making sure everything's working - both for you and the machine. It's all quite safe, I can assure you. Even apparently dangerous things that are happening in the virtual world on the most intense settings will not have an effect on you. All you have to do is take a seat, make a few choices which can be changed at the beginning of every session, and then play as the game indicates. If you've ever been a part of a role-play or a drama club, it's much the same idea. Just try to acquaint yourself with the world and blend in. It's very instinctual, I'm sure a bright college type like yourself will pick it up in no time."

Anne guided Stephanie to her seat inside a machine that was shaped very much like its name. The EGG device was spheroid, taller than it was wide, with a very comfy looking seat with many sensor pads on the back of it. Once the girl was inside the EGG, Anne gave her a final smile and an encouragment to have fun, and then closed the door to the device shut with a small hiss. Everything was dark except for a monitor in front of her, which had text on it glowing with a soft green light. The text seemed to be an odd set of setting parameters that Stephanie was meant to fill out before the game began.

The first things to be filled out seemed to be dealing with the adult nature of the game.

Re: Stephanie's Story (Ranger Princess)

When Stephanie finally got the envelope with the bright yellow block letters from Chamber Corps, her bright blue eyes lit up. She stared at it for a couple seconds, soft lips curled in a silly smile. Please say yes...please say yes...Pleeeaaassseee she thought to herself as she tore open the envelope, pulling out the letter. When she saw the words, "We are pleased to inform you that..." Stephanie jumped into the air, bouncing up and down and cried out in joy, "Yay!!!"

Five minutes of squee-fest later, Stephanie grabbed her purse, acceptance letter in hand and headed out to the parking lot. Pressing her cell phone to her ear, she dialed up her roomie. Two rings later, she heard her pick up. "Hey Mackenzie, it's Steph! Guess what! I got into the EGG!!! I know right? It's gonna be so much fun! ... What? Of course I'll tell you what it's like silly. We're BFFs aren't we? Haha, I gotta go now though. Peace girly!" With a tap to her keychain and a cute little beep, Stephanie plopped into her bright blue Volkswagen Beetle and turned the key in the ignition with a vroom! She sped down the interstate, plugged in her iPod, and cranked up the volume, singing along to Michelle Branch - "All You Wanted" all along the way.

Walking into the Chamber Corps building, Stephanie looked around curiously at the pleasant surroundings. She nodded and thanked the clerk. Then after waiting for a minute or so, rocking side to side and fidgeting with her skirt with her fingers, Stephanie's eyes lit up as the double doors opened and the escort called out her name. She walked over and smiled sweetly at her, "Hi Anne! I'm Stephanie. Oh wait you already know that, haha. I'm just so excited." She followed Anne into the game area, looking around curiously and nodded occasionally at her escort's introductions. "Thanks Anne . . . hehe . . . I bet I'm in good hands with you!" Stephanie nudged her escort with a coyly playful smile before settling into her EGG chamber.

Once she got inside and plopped cozily into her seat, Stephanie gave Anne one last happy smile as the metal door slowly revolved shut. Stephanie grinned eagerly at the screen, the green ambient glow highlighting her features. "Let's see here.. Oh goody. Options!" The little blonde girl went to work punching in her preferred settings. As she looked through the list, Stephanie giggled a few times. She hummed softly, cocked her eyebrow at one, purred at a few others, and squeaked out, "Yowza!" at another one.

Humans: Y, 5
Male/Female: Y, 3
Female/Female: Y, 5
Pregnancy: N
Birthing: N
Non Consentual Sex: Y, 2
BDSM: Y, 3
Slavery: N
Corruption: N
Body Alteration (small mutations only): Y, 1
Monsters (Tentacles & Slimes & Likewise): Y, 4
Beasts (Animals and Animal-like creatures, including anthros): Y, 3
Roughness: (How gentle are the monsters when you lose?): 2 (Gentle)

Once she had her game settings finished, Stephanie went to the next screen and kept the difficulty on Normal. As she perused the various game levels, Stephanie's eyebrows furrowed in thought, and she chewed on her little pink bottom lip. "Cool!" she exclaimed. These games sound like so much fun, but I have to pick one.. Yipes! At least I don't have to spend three hours making a character like I did in Dragon Age. I can just be me! Hmmm... Stephanie thought to herself in wonder. Her wondery blue eyes darted back and forth between dragon's assistant and Miskatonic University for about five minutes, maybe ten. At one point she almost clicked the button for one of them but then pulled her finger back to her lips and nommed the tip. Eventually the little blonde squeezed her eyes shut and jabbed her finger toward one of the options.

Stephanie kept her eyes shut for a few seconds. The moment of truth... she thought to herself. Finally, the little blonde opened her eyes again. Miskatonic University flashed brightly in big letters in front of her. Stephanie smiled happily, "Oh this is gonna be fun. Let's do this!" she squealed in delight as she selected Option 2) Start as a young new faculty member. "Bring it on dark pharaoh!"

Re: Stephanie's Story (Ranger Princess)

With her selections inputted the green glowing text disappeared, leaving Stephanie in complete darkness inside the EGG. All sound seemed to disappear, even the humming of the machinery. Then, even more unexpected, the feeling of the seat against her back began to fade, her sense of touch now dissipating as a feeling of weightlessness overcame her. She was now just floating in empty darkness, aware only of her own thoughts. Smell and taste had left her as well, and in a moment of complete sensory deprivation, she wondered if something had gone wrong.

Then there was light in the darkness, and the smell of dried leaves, wafting to her on a brisk cool wind. Light became softer, bluer, the sky with its clouds forming above her, then below the green of grass, melded in with red brick walkways and side paths. Old fashioned black lamposts lined a street of freshly paved asphalt. Wooden houses, most of them old architecture of New England Victorian style wraparound porches, lined the edge of one side of the street, while in the other direction, space opened up into a large quad, ringed by large brick buildings with white pillars, exclaiming them to be part of an institue of learning. In the distance a huge library could be seen next to a chapel bell tower. Around her, people walked, most of them carrying school packs on their way to classes.

She was at a university, of this there was little doubt. From the leaves on the ground covering the campus in reds, oranges, yellows and browns, Stephanie presumed that she was in New England somewhere, during Autumn.

A banner draped across the front of the building just next to her - Welcome to Miskatonic University - Home of the Fighting Cephalopods!

"Professor? Professor Stephanie, is that you?" A woman who looked to be in her late twenties with peachy colored hair was approaching Stephanie, holding a clipboard. She peered closely at Stephanie's face as she drew closer, and then looked back at her clipboard, a smile seeming to confirm her assumption as truth. "Yep, your picture matches! Hi! I'm Professor Hart, but you can call me Lauren. Welcome to the University! We're happy to have you! Umm, I'm sorry to say this but it doesn't actually list what department you're in on my little orientation sheet here...?"

She trailed off at the end, as if expecting Stephanie to help her out a little.

A little pop up menu appears to Stephanie as the world greys out into the background. Time has for all purposes stopped as she pays attention to this menu. It seems to be a list of the different schools at the University and the subjects and courses studied:

School of Language, Literature, and the Arts (LLA)
*Rhetoric - Classical Language, English, Modern Languages
*Natural and Revealed Religion - Philosophy, Theology
*Arts - Fine Arts, Music, Drama
*Antiquities - Ancient History, Archeology
*Human Conduct - Anthropology, Geography, Modern History, Psychology, Sociology

School of Science (SCI)
*Applied Science - Engineering, Computer Programming
*Natural Science - Astronomy, Biology, Geology

Re: Stephanie's Story (Ranger Princess)

As the darkness enveloped Stephanie within the EGG chamber, she felt as if she was an astronaut floating in space. The only problem was she wasn't supposed to be in space, and she didn't have a spacesuit! The blonde's eyes widened, and she gasped silently at the sensation of no sensation.

Just as the college student's mind was about to rebel against her surroundings, the senses suddenly rushed in again. Stephanie squinted her eyes at the sudden white light emerging from the penetrating blackness. The crisp, cool smell of dead leaves and acorns flared her nostrils, and Stephanie instinctively leaned leaned into the smells, wafting it all into her nose. Normally the smell wouldn't have been too noticeable, but being deprived of all senses before made the soft smells more like warm baked apple pie on a summer day.

Stephanie gazed around at her surroundings as they came into focus around her, a welcome sense of normalcy pervading her mind. The blonde clasped her hands in front of her skirt and rotated her body side to side just so, letting out a soft, contented sigh. Stephanie walked along the brick walkway and looked around in wonder. She took in the picturesque scene around her, and she smiled at a few of the students as they passed her by. It definitely wasn't the school Stephanie came from, but it wasn't dissimilar either. New England in autumn always amazed her. In the northeast, autumn always came rushing in full of vibrant, beautiful colors. The season stunned and awed her subjects but was fleeting, slipping through your fingers before you could fully reach out to grasp her in your embrace. Autumn was like a sexy tease. She filled you with wonder and desire before suddenly slipping away and leaving you in winter's cold embrace before you knew what even happened. Even having experienced her wily ways and her rejection before, New Englanders always found themselves coming back for more when she returned...

Stephanie looked up at the welcoming banner and smiled distractedly, poetic thoughts still occupying her mind when suddenly she jumped at the woman's unexpected greeting. She shook the thoughts from her head and smiled warmly at the woman. "Hm? Oh yes. Professor Carmichael actually, but you can call me Stephanie." Stephanie paused, "I like how you took it upon yourself on your own. I think we'll be good friends! It's nice to meet you Lauren. Thank you so much for the welcome, I'm happy to be here." Stephanie gestured to the campus buildings and trees, "I was just taking in the atmosphere. It's so lovely here." Her eyes then gazed to Lauren's peachy colored hair, "And I hope you don't mind me saying so, but your hair is absolutely gorgeous too!"

Just as she was about to respond, the world suddenly grayed out around her, and the little pop-up menu appeared. Stephanie arched a little blonde eyebrow and bit her lips in confusion. "What's this..?" she trailed off before realization hit her. "Oh I see...It's just like Dragon Age! I have to pick my response." Stephanie looked through the choices for a few minutes until an excited grin tugged at the edge of her soft lips. Thoughts of adventures like Indiana Jones and Lara Croft in mind, the little blonde pressed her finger to the Archeology Option.

When she found herself back at Miskatonic University, Stephanie smiled sweetly and waved her hand to dismiss Lauren's concern, "Oh don't worry. I'm with the Archeology Department. I'm used to slipping through the cracks," Stephanie deadpanned, her attempt at making a horrible pun blatantly obvious. The blonde giggled a little, amused by herself, a very professorial trait but also a sign that she was comfortable. "Which department are you with Lauren?" Stephanie asked curiously.

Re: Stephanie's Story (Ranger Princess)

Lauren displayed a toothy grin as the newest faculty member took in the sights of the campus and then complimented her hair. Her hand went subconscious to the curls and patted them as if searching for any stray lock out of place just in case.

"Well, thank you for saying so, Stephanie. I love what you've done with your hair too. It's very hip. You'll have trouble convincing the students that you're their professor, I should think -- and when you do watch out, I'll wager some of them will be drooling to get their claws on you!"

Professor Hart chuckled a bit at her own prediction.

"Ahh! So you're with the archeology department! Well that clears everything up! Let me guess, newly graduated and looking to join the team who just discovered the greatest find in Egyptology since Tutankhamen's tomb? Must've beaten out quite the list of competitors to be selected for the position. That'd make you as smart as you are good looking!"

Lauren winked at Stephanie as she motioned the young woman to turn and walk with her down a pathway that headed towards a medium sized red-bricked hall, passing a large statue of some turn-of-the-century guy looking smart and bold.

"I'm a professor of Anthropology, so I find that a lot of the stuff in the Archeology department fascinating. This university has one of the best programs for ancient culture research, as I'm certain you already know. I'm sure you and I will be working together. Here, let's head to your apartment and get you situated. You'll be in the Dorothy Upman Hall -- all first year professors have to spend a little time as a dormitory adjunct, but don't worry the walls are thick there so there shouldn't be too much disturbance from the students. It's labeled as one of our "quiet" dorms - so you'll get the more studious neighbors."

As they walked across the green, Stephanie swept her gaze across the street and it caught on a strange figure tucked away in alleyway that seemed very dark in spite of the bright daylight everywhere else. The figure was crouched low, staring out at the college walkways from beneath a yellow hood that covered its face. The figured looked dirty, as if covered in rags, yet when Stephanie stared at it, she could somehow tell that the figure was staring right back at her. An involuntary shiver ran down her spine as there was a sudden flash, and a pattern seemed to form in the air in front of her, a sign -- yellow and scrawled, like a triskel with inversions and small dots amongst the curves -- etched itself into her mind.

"Hey, Stephanie, you okay?" Lauren asked as the blond girl lagged behind. Blinking, Stephanie looked again at the alleyway, to see that the figure was gone and the small little lane looked much brighter than it had moments ago.

Re: Stephanie's Story (Ranger Princess)

Stephanie smiled coyly at the compliment to her hair. She brushed a hand through it, twisted her braids a little, and tossed the long blonde locks over her slightly bared shoulder. "Oh they'll know, hehe. At least I hope. I believe in bringing passion and enthusiasm to the classroom. Some of the details can be boring if you just go through them, but I find there's always some interesting adventure or story you can link it all to. Besides, just gotta crackdown on those challenges as soon as they arise. Nothing's more awe inspiring then a hot disciplinarian!" She winked playfully.

The blonde then straightened up at Lauren's mention of her dissertation, grinning widely but decided to play it coy. Every professor's pride and joy, their modus operandi - Oh right my dissertation! Stephanie thought to herself suddenly. What is it? Hm! Let's make it sound fancy. "This school has a fantastic reputation. We're all smart cookies aren't we? I think what made me stand out the most was my innovative research design. I tried to combine ethnography with study of ancient artifacts in my field work." Good thing I took that Intro to Cultural Anthropology course! "I had more than a few interesting adventures out in the field... but we can tell each other all about our research later - and believe me I want to hear ALL about it. Anthropology! We are definitely gonna be friends." Dr. Carmichael winked again. She was liking her new friend more and more.

Stephanie walked along with Lauren, looking around curiously as the professor told her about the residence life and the campus. She nodded after arching her eyebrow at the statue of the ridiculous looking academic, "Yeah I think it should be nice to get to know the culture on campus. I just hope they don't think I'm too lame!"

Suddenly, Stephanie felt her gaze slowly drawn to the street across the way. It looked like any other at first until her eyes fell on the alleyway. It was darker than the rest of the college town, unnaturally dark as if light tried to penetrate it but was hurled back just as fast. Stephanie's deep blue eyes locked onto the hooded figure. Her heart thumped in her chest. There was something about it that intrigued her and frightened her at the same time. She found she couldn't tear her eyes away even though part of her screamed at her to do it and do it fast. Suddenly a lot of new memories started flooding through her mind, the memories of an experienced archeologist. Stephanie would have encountered many strange people doing her fieldwork in exotic locations, but even those encounters paled in comparison to this new figure. It seemed extra creepy!

Stephanie stared as if in a trance as the yellow pattern scrawled itself into her mind, burning a place in the crevices of her brain. The young professor was scared and entranced, scared due to the supernatural feel to the figure but entranced by the pattern's mystery. The adventurer inside her, instincts implanted within her as an experienced fieldworker kicked into gear. Stephanie was desperately trying to remember all those little intricate marks and designs when Lauren pulled her out of her reverie. Stephanie blinked and shook away the feeling. Everything that felt so vivid was gone in just an instant.

The little blonde smiled and sped up to catch up with Lauren, curling her arm through the nook under Lauren's arm and brushing against her instinctively. The experience from before shook Stephanie a little. She wanted to feel contact, and Lauren looked so inviting... Still, she reminded herself that it was just a game, a game with a really interesting puzzle with mysterious clues! She wondered if anyone had seen that figure on campus before. "Hey Lauren... I was just thinking." The blonde smiled curiously, "Are there many urban legends here at Miskatonic University?" Stephanie pressed a little closer, her face full of wonder as she smiled up at Lauren.

Re: Stephanie's Story (Ranger Princess)

Lauren stutter-stepped at "hot disciplinarian" comment, her eyes widening for a moment and a glimmer of a goofy grin playing out across her face. She reigned it in though and simply gave Stephanie a tight-lipped smile in response to the wink.

"I'm sure your field research is fascinating, Stephanie. You're going to love it here at Miskatonic. Professor McTavish will definitely appreciate your enthusiasm, it's infectious, especially with the stuff we've recovered from the Egyptian dig - and its not even complete yet. The next expedition is scheduled after this semester, it should be quite the adventure. I know I'm looking forward to it - going to beg Ernie, erm, Professor McTavish to take me along as well. And no way! You're definitely not striking me as lame!"

When they were more than halfway across the green, Stephanie had her freaky vision which left her wanting the inviting human contact of Lauren's hooked arm. Professor Hart seemed surprised by the sudden touch, but didn't recoil away.

"Um, ah... legends? Oh.. I get it. Someone's been telling you those old ghost stories about the tunnels beneath the school. You really shouldn't pay those tall tales any mind. They're there to scare the pledges to the fraternities. There are a whole bunch of tunnels beneath the university, connecting buildings all over the place. They were made because the early university was a safehouse for the underground railroad, freeing escaped slaves by getting them to Canada. They only got a bad name in the 1920s, because a professer here went mad and killed a bunch of kids in them. That whole section's been sealed off though, and I certainly don't believe in ghosts... I mean really... ghosts. Y-you don't either, right?"

Something about the way Lauren trailed off made Stephanie think that Lauren might be a little more scared of ghosts than her bravado and apparent skepticism let on.

Re: Stephanie's Story (Ranger Princess)

Stephanie nodded, her face alight with curiosity. She absorbed Lauren's words like a detective wanting to solve a new mysterious case. As an archaeologist, her subject was history and her tools artifacts, legends, and fossils. Stephanie didn't quite believe in ghosts, but she couldn't help it seeing that look on Lauren's face like a frightened little kitty. Feeling playful, Stephanie decided to tease her. Just for a little fun!

Stephanie leaned close to Lauren with a serious look on her face, pulling the peachy haired woman a little closer as they strolled through the campus. She began in a hushed voice, eyes darting side to side as if she didn't want anyone to hear what she was about to say.

"Well... you gotta keep this on the down low okay Lauren? You know what they say... where there's smoke there's fire? When I was doing my field work in Latin America, we were excavating an ancient temple for clues on any links to a long lost civilization that I was sure had developed some forms of modern technology long before it was invented in Western Europe. It was in a network of underground catacombs that my caravan had just discovered, and I went in with my partner and two local guides. The guides were really jittery about it. They didn't want to go at all, going on about an ancient curse.

Apparently an ancient oracle fell in love with a Princess of the local civilization. Unfortunately, the king had other plans with her. The old civilizations has superstitions about mixing royal blood with those of the prophets. It was forbidden to ensure objectivity of the oracle's visions. Even worse, the princess was to be betrothed to an enemy prince in hopes of ending what had been decades of civil war and strife. When the king heard of the oracle's infidelity with the princess, he ordered him to observe the princess as she was lashed 15 times and he was to be executed just after. Unable to bear watching his beloved in pain, the oracle flew into a wild frenzy! He tore off his binds and hurled himself at the man charged with whipping the princess, howling a slew of curses in his native tongue. It is said that the oracle cast awesome magicks, hurling fireballs at the guards all around in his attempt to rescue the princess from harm. But in the chaos, the princess threw herself in front of him and was pierced in the heart by a javelin that the king himself had thrown at the offending oracle. The oracle sank to his knees, holding his dying lover in his arms and shouted at the king. "You who have drawn the blood of your own kin will reap the suffering of her death a million times! Your kingdom will tremble under the furious gaze of the gods and will sink into the earth below!" And just as the oracle shouted out his terrible curse on the kingdom, the whole temple shook with the force of a tremendous earthquake. In a matter of minutes, the whole kingdom was buried under the earth just like the oracle swore it would.

My guides believed that this curse was still in effect and that anyone who attempted to pull the artifacts of the dead city from the earth would suffer the dreadful consequences of the oracle's curse. We were only able to convince them to come along with us by dipping into our research funds... and like a week of our personal dinner stipend to get them to come along. We navigated the catacombs, my partner and I with our two guides, without any setbacks for the first two days. We found a few really interesting clues, but we still couldn't find any evidence of the oracle, the princess, or the king... or what I thought was that silly curse. On the third day, we finally found what we were seeking. The chamber was more majestic and horrible that I could have even imagined. But to my horror, as soon as we entered, a deathly cold wind whipped up from out of nowhere, burning the soft skin we hadn't expected to have to protect in the tropical climate. Dirt and bugs flew everywhere in that frightening gust of swirling cold air, and a horrible shrieking sound invaded our ears. The ghost of the oracle and his curse was upon us! Our guides bolted at the first moment, money only buying so much courage. They shouted that we were demons and would leave us to our doom for disturbing the temple. Determined to find our treasure, my partner and I pressed on into the spirit's savage attack. If only we could make it to the center of the chamber we could find what we were seeking! It was just in reach... but just as I thought we were going to make it suddenly my partner was swarmed by a horribly scary cloud of locusts and dirt! There was a voice in the air, laughing! It was taunting us as the locusts attacked my partner. I screamed and ran for my life and.... Just Kidding!"

Stephanie keeled over and laughed her little heart out. "Oh Lauren! You should have seen the look on your face. Hahaha! Ancient terrible curse... ghosts! Of course they don't exist sweetie!" Stephanie panted from her giggle fit, her face pink from all the laughing and squeezed the peachy haired woman's shoulder, trying to soothe her. "I'm sorry Lauren. I couldn't help it. I mean don't get me wrong... the story is all true. But no, there wasn't any ghost or terrible curse. It was just that the way the catacombs had fallen created a sort of jet stream tunnel whenever it rained." Dr. Carmichael smiled widely. "When you go exploring ancient ruins you never know what you might find. Old traps, sink holes, jet stream tunnels, puzzles, they all have logical explanations. There aren't any ghosts sweetie. That's just silly superstition!" Then the little blonde thought back to the hooded figure in tattered rags and the yellow symbol etched in her mind. She hoped they were silly superstition anyway. It had to be. Right?

Shivering a little and pushing that thought as far down her mind as she could, Stephanie patted Lauren's arm, "Whew! I still can't get over how you called Ernest McTavish Ernie! Wow! I mean I'm a huge fan. I've read all of his work. He's like a legend in the field! I can't wait to meet him... Ernie! Hehe, I'm so excited." Then Stephanie got an eager, playful, and mischievous look on her face, "Hey are the artifacts they've uncovered under wraps? Think we could maybe sneak in and check them out?" Stephanie's smile was wide and eager like a little girl who's favorite toy was just out of reach but she thought she maybe, just maybe might be able to get her little paws all over it with enough charm.

Re: Stephanie's Story (Ranger Princess)

As Stephanie delivered her story with a hushed voice and well-paced solemness, Lauren's eyes went from confused, to narrow skepticism, then to widening incredulity, and finally slipped into gripping belief, hanging on Stephanie's every word. From where Steph had hooked her arm around Lauren's, she could feel the anthropologist's tenseness as the story went on. The spells, and the curse of the ancient civilization had been easy to shrug aside as mere legend, but when Stephanie told of eerie breezes, and shrieks, the young woman shivered against her. And the bug comments especially seemed to freak her out, the special fear in Lauren's eyes was evident, likely some sort of phobia. She was squeezing her eyes shut as though trying to prevent herself from imagining the scene of swarming locusts when at last Stephanie cut her story short with laughter.

Lauren seemed confused and then non-plussed by Stephanie's tale, and unhooked herself from the new professor's arm.

"It's not funny!" She pouted, and crossed her arms huffily. Stephanie might be concerned at first that she had made a bad impression by scaring her hostess with such an elaborate lie, but after all of the apologies and attempts at soothing, Lauren eventually cracked a half-smile, admitting that she had been fairly duped. When she spoke again, her voice was a bit calmer.

"You're as bad as those Delta Epsilon girls, telling tall tales and being all dramatic about it. You've missed your calling, you should be in the theater. Guh! Ancient curses indeed!"

They were walking up to the dormitory where Stephanie was going to be an adjunct when the idea of sneaking in to see the artifacts was mentioned.

"Hah! You too, huh? Yeah, I wish we could go see them, but our Archeology Department is internationally renowned, and we take our displaying and safeguarding of our finds quite seriously, since we're partnered up with the Arkham Museum. We'd need to get permission to get into the museum vaults to glimpse anything, but don't worry, you and I have the credentials, I'm sure they'll let us in if we ask nicely. For now, I think I'll just bring you to your front door and let you make yourself at home, then I'll come and pick you up for dinner? There's a hall for faculty dining that I can take you to later and you can meet Professor McTavish yourself. If anyone could get you in to see the artifacts, he could."

Re: Stephanie's Story (Ranger Princess)

Stephanie giggled with glee at Lauren's reaction. She'd wanted to tease her escort after all, and Lauren's pouting was just so cute. Steph wrapped her arms around the huffing professor and rubbed her palm up and down her arm gently. "I was just having a little fun Lauren. There there. I promise there's no ghosts! Hehe!" Stephanie soothed her, cooing sweetly and petted the peachy haired professor trying to make her feel better from the admittedly elaborate prank.

Just when Steph was about to lose hope, she saw Lauren's half-smile, and her heart soared. Stephanie's face lit up, beaming with delight. Yay! She still likes me. We're going to be great friends, I just know it! Stephanie thought to herself happily as she let go of Lauren. They walked along together toward the dorm room where she'd be staying. "Awww! You think so eh? I did a few plays in high school, ya know? I even took a couple theater classes in college . . . but between you and me, those theater professors are kinda scary! Not fun and sweet like those anthropology ones." Stephanie nudged Lauren, still smiling brightly and giggling. "Besides, don't be like that. You know you like me. I can see it all over your face." The little blonde said with a wink, clucking her tongue on the inside of her cheek.

As they stood in front of her new dorm room, Stephanie sighed softly. From everything she experienced so far, life at Miskatonic University should be pretty interesting! She was already having lots of fun, meeting friends, and seeing mysterious things. Stephanie gave Lauren a little smile but looked slightly disappointed that they couldn't go on an adventure. Then Stephanie's smile tugged at the corners of her lips until she was grinning widely. "That'll be great to meet Professor McTavish... but..." Stephanie did her best to look adorable. She fluttered her eyelashes over her deep blue eyes, clasped her hands over her waist and twiddled her thumbs. She began slowly, hesitantly. "I'm excited to meet you too. Maybe you could help me get settled... I wonder? Ya know with all those scary ghosts about, we should watch each other's back right? I know I wouldn't wanna be alone... would you?" Stephanie smiled up at Lauren, her face a mix of playful and hopeful, just like a kitten might look when wanting to play.

Re: Stephanie's Story (Ranger Princess)

Lauren let herself be soothed and coaxed out of her huffy state, leaning her weight back into Stephanie with a playful nudge. Her pouty smile gave way to an aloof, proud look and she raise her chin. "Of course I'm fun and sweet, but I'm dangerous too, I'll have you know. I can totally be not sweet, especially to mean newbie professors who play tricks on me."

She poked Stephanie in her tummy, her tongue slipping out the side of her mouth as she did so. "Like you? Yeah, I suppose I do. You're too darn cute and happy not to like. Just keep your ghost stories for a campfire when I can have a blanket to huddle under and some roasted marshmallows to distract me."

Brushing her hair back behind her ears, to get it out of the way of her big brown eyes, Lauren fumbled in her handbag for the set of keys to the apartment. "You'll have two sets that I'll give you now," she said as she inserted the key and turned the doorknob of what appeared to be just another dorm room.

Inside however, Stephanie would be pleasantly surprised to note that it led immediately into a study space, with another door immediately to the left that led into a kitchen space and an open plan dining room/lounge. There was a bathroom and closet area, and a stairway leading up into what presumably was a bedroom area. Boxes labeled "Stephanie's Stuff" were placed around the otherwise spartan apartment.

"Everything a visiting professor needs," Lauren said, handing off the keys to Stephanie. It was at that point that Stephanie chose to turn on the charm, her deep blue eyes looking up to Lauren with that glimmer of hope in them that caused the peachy haired girl to blush slightly and look away, fidgeting and tugging on her own fingers.

"Um... well, I really should be getting back to help orient the other newcomers..." She waved her clipboard half-heartedly, before once again making eye contact briefly before looking away. Then slowly she seemed to come around, her clutched hands breaking apart and coming down to her side. She gave a little sigh and her lips tightened in a rueful smile. "Buuuut, I suppose you do have a lot of boxes to unpack and I'd hate to leave a new friend in a lurch. So... sure! I'll stay. What the heck, right?"

She giggled, but could still not maintain eye contact with Stephanie for very long. She tried to pass it off as no big deal and shrugged before setting her clipboard and handbag down on the bare study desk.

"So. Let's get you settled. Maybe we can explore your new apartment, hmm? Help get the important stuff set up... clothes, your bed, your kitchen..."

Re: Stephanie's Story (Ranger Princess)

Stephanie giggled at the poke to her tummy, flinching back just a little. She smiled and protested cutely. "Hey... Who do ya think I am eh? The pillsbury dough girl?" She paused for a second with a silly smile on her face then poked her own tummy for effect. "Hoo hoo!"

After playing around a little, Lauren explained to Stephanie when the ideal time for scary stories was. Steph squeaked out in excitement. "CAMPFIRE! Oh my gosh that'd be so kewl! We'd sit by our little fire and tell stories." She wrapped her arms around Lauren and rested her head on her shoulder. "And snuggle under the blanket!" Steph looked up giggling and poked Lauren's lips. "And feed each other marshmallows.... heheh.."

When they managed to make their way to the door to her new dorm room, Stephanie followed Lauren inside and looked around curiously. "Wow! This is amazing!" The little blonde bounced over to the study area then poked her head around the corner of the door. "A study... and a lounge... and my own little kitchen! And oh wait... there's an upstairs too? Holy smokes!" Stephanie smiled brightly as she bounded back to Lauren. "This is great! My last apartment was just a studio with a nook and a toothpick oven!"

It was settled. Lauren had to stay with her to set up her super cool apartment. After Stephanie's charmed worked its magic, she bounced up and down excitedly and wrapped Lauren up in tight happy hug. "Oh Lauren you're the best!"

As they went to work examining the contents of her boxes and unpacking things, Stephanie couldn't help but keep glancing over at Lauren, distracted from her actual work. The little blonde bit her lip in anticipation. <Oh my... just look at her. This game is AWESOME. Thank you God! heheh.> Stephanie thought to herself. <I wonder what she'd do if...>

Stephanie got a silly grin on her face and slowly made her way over to Lauren as she was bending over one of the boxes. "Hey Lauren let me help ya with that..." Stephanie said, voice trailing off, but instead of helping Steph gave Lauren a little swat to her lovely rear followed by a playful giggle.

Re: Stephanie's Story (Ranger Princess)

Lauren giggled as well at the dough girl comment and shook her head.

"You're a cutie, aren't you?"

Her expression went from giggling to surprised and flustered as Stephanie squeaked with joy at the idea of a campfire and immediately snuggled up close to her. Lauren's hand went to her mouth as color rose in her cheeks, an it was brushed aside as Stephanie's finger poked at her lower lip, promising mutual marshmallow munching in the future. Lauren was left momentarily speechless.

Thankfully for her the business of getting into the new apartment and showing it off helped her to regain her bearings. The new occupant's surprise at its size made Lauren smirk.

"Just one of the perks of being an on campus professor, and you are lucky because this is one of the better ones. It's been given to you because of its proximity to the archeology department. Not even a five minute walk to where you'll be teaching classes and having your own office. And it's also where all those cool new findings from Egypt are being stored. Though if you want my opinion it's also good because this building has its own dining hall. So not a bad place to be if you need something quick to eat."

Setting about clearing out the boxes, Stephanie would notice little odds and ends from her own life that were being expressed in this game. Obviously the AI was somehow accessing her own memories somehow and having them show up in the game itself. Interspersed with all this were many many books on exploration and ancient civilizations and maps and souvenirs of all the places that her in-game persona must have traveled.

Most interesting of all though was watching the very nice looking Professor Hart bending over as she reached inside a large, tall box. Whatever she was trying to lift, it must have been heavy, as she was spreading her legs to get better leverage.

Feeling mischief growing inside her, Stephanie had slowly approached Lauren from behind and calmly told her that she'd like to help with whatever it was she was lifting.

"Oh thanks, yeah I could use --"

*SMACK*

Lauren's body seemed to freeze and tense up, but she didn't hop out of her skin like perhaps Stephanie had been expecting. She stayed bent over, her head still in the box.

"Um.... h-how is that helping me, exactly?"

Buried as she was in the box, Lauren's expression remained a mystery to Stephanie at the moment.

Re: Stephanie's Story (Ranger Princess)

When Stephanie pulled her hand back from the spank, she nibbled on the tip of her fingertip and giggled playfully, shoulders bouncing up and down softly from her giggle fit.

"Hehe. I wasn't trying to help you silly."

The little blonde dropped her hands to her sides, turning side to side ever so slightly with a silly grin on her face and gave Lauren another gentle pat on her behind as her arms swung side to side.

"I just wanted to touch that sexy butt of your's... It's sure a nice one!"

If Lauren turned around, she'd see Stephanie slowly sliding her hands down her pink pleated skirt, pulling the ends a little like a curtsy. She had a mischievously coy smile on her face.

Re: Stephanie's Story (Ranger Princess)

Lauren stood up from the box she'd been digging around in and turned to look at the childlike antics of her new colleague, juxtaposed as they were with the not so innocent touching that was going on. The anthropologist's face was obviously flustered. She didn't seem sure if she wanted to smile, frown, be shocked, or to play this cool and in the end didn't quite manage to do any those things. Her nervous tics kicked in and she started toying with that peachy hair of hers, tugging at her bangs as she eyed Stephanie.

"Um... thanks? I guess. Do you... slap everyone's butt that you like or am I a special case?" Lauren started to fold her arms, decided midway that she didn't want to and lamely held them out indecisively in front of her for a second before sending one down to her side and another one back up to tug at her hair again. Quickly she decided that the hair needed to stop being played with and sent her hand down to join the other at her hips.

"M-maybe we could get to the unpacking later, you know, I mean, I could show you around the campus more or y'know there's the exhibit, the town landmarks, or there's a great ice cream shop that makes good shakes..."

Lauren was starting to get that 'rambling' quality to her voice, squishing her words together as her mind went into overdrive. She wasn't able to bring herself to meet Stephanie's eyes while she talked, searching for someway to possibly bring this encounter back to a normal safe zone - though her body language didn't suggest that she would be entirely unhappy if Stephanie pushed this further either. The signs were there.

Re: Stephanie's Story (Ranger Princess)

Stephanie cringed both inwardly and outwardly. Her smile wavered, crestfallen, and she bit her lip. She brought her hand to her lips to nibble on her knuckle nervously. Ohhh Steph you really got yourself into a mess this time didn't you? What were you thinking. So stupid... gah... Of course she wouldn't like that.. Stephanie scolded herself in her mind as she looked to Lauren apologetically.

"Oh shoot I'm so sorry Lauren."

Stephanie fidgeted on her feet. She leaned forward a little like she wanted to hug or touch Lauren but then shifted back on her heels again. She dropped her hands to her sides, swinging back and worth just a little. She slumped her shoulders.

"I just.. ummm... yeah.. I can be kinda weird... ya know archaeologist and all... Failed Modern Human Society 101... Just forget I did anything please..."

The slender blonde professor cringed again. It's just like me to mess things up with a pretty girl... I hope she won't hate me now... Stephanie was nibbling on her lip harder now and tying new little braids into her long blonde hair. When Lauren tried to change the subject, she eagerly latched onto that.

"Of course! You're so right I mean I can definitely unpack on my own. There's so many things to see... so little time... I'd love to see the artifacts at the exhibit. Or the town... it's so homey. And I could really go for a chocolate milkshake. I can never say no to that!"

Stephanie looked to the door then back to Lauren. Her body bounced ever so slightly from her indecisiveness until she finally started for the door. Even then Steph paused and looked back over her shoulder nervously. Her big blue eyes were hopeful.

Re: Stephanie's Story (Ranger Princess)

Lauren twitched, as if realizing how she'd come across to the beautiful blond archeologist. No, she hadn't wanted it to come out like that! The way the cheeky new professor's smile had wavered and crumbled sent a pang of remorse through her and she started to shake her head side to side, even as Stephanie mumbled out her apologies and her excuses as being weird and socially awkward.

"N-no! No, Stephanie it's not that I... Look, I... I like you a lot. Okay? You're not like anyone else I've ever met before. We've known each other for less than half an hour and already I was helping you move in - I mean, I'm not usually like that with anybody. Oh please don't be sad, I uh, hey you're bum is sexy too okay?"

As if to put them on equal ground and to bring a smile back to that pretty face, Lauren stepped forward and put both her hands around Stephanie's thighs, prodding her fingertips into the soft flesh of the blonde's butt, through the fabric of her pleated skirt.

There was an awkward silence as Lauren simply gripped Stephanie like this, looking her in the eyes. The anthropologist had the look of a person that was acting more on instinct than with the aid of logical thought.

"I uhh... I really want to share that chocolate milkshake with you. How about we do that? And then straight to the exhibit, and maybe after we know each other better, we can come back here and finish unpacking?"

Re: Stephanie's Story (Ranger Princess)

Stephanie stopped and turned back to Lauren when she called for her to wait. She clasped her hands in front of her waist and listened patiently as Lauren explained her feelings. At first her deep blue eyes were hopeful but it was more like hope against hope. She just wanted to make her feel better surely...

Hearing that Lauren really liked her, Stephanie blushed and looked down. Could it really be true? She'd always had friends and had fun sure, but she was too scared to push it further, afraid of rejection, of losing the close friends she had. She was a hopeless romantic, dreaming of moments like these but always wondering what it was like. Sure it was only a game but... it felt so real. When she looked up again, Stephanie had a silly little smile tugging at the corners of her lips. A warm wave of tingles washed through her soft skin. She even giggled and smiled wider, beaming when Lauren said she liked her tush.

"Awww, real-"

She'd started to say, but her voice cut off when Lauren lurched forward and took a hold of her butt. Stephanie's lips parted, gasping softly. A warm jolt shot through her thighs and up through her core and belly. Heart starting to thud in her chest, she felt Lauren's fingers digging into the soft flesh of her behind, and it felt like a warm cloud was enveloping her body. Stephanie looked down to see Lauren's hands on her rear and then looked back up again, a cute little happy smile on her face.

She knew she should go slow. She didn't want to scare Lauren away. She was too precious and nervous. Stephanie knew she had to be careful, to nurture the relationship. It was all logical: take her to get some milkshakes, check out the artifacts that they both loved, go on adventures, laugh, have fun, build friendships. Stephanie knew that's what she should do. Even though she knew what to do, for some reason, she did something different. She felt drawn in by Lauren's touch, her sweet words, and her pretty face. Before she even knew what was happening, Stephanie was leaning in. Closer...closer...close enough so their lips were just centimeters apart, and they could feel each other's warm breath against their skin. Then she looked into Lauren's eyes for the briefest of moments before closing them and finally pressing against her for a kiss.

Re: Stephanie's Story (Ranger Princess)

Lauren had kept talking, even after grabbing, Stephanie's tush in an effort to calm the situation, but of course, it had done anything but that. Now the blonde girl was moving toward her as if drawn in by some unseen, magnetic force. The peach-haired girl's words began to falter. She tried to continue on in her rambling, but by the time their faces were centimeters apart, the anthropologist was simply mumbling.

When Stephanie looked into Lauren's eyes, she saw fear and nervousness, but also desire and yearning, and a crumbling will to resist the tumultuous pace at which these two had been tossed together. Stephanie pressed forward. Their lips met. For a fraction of a second, Lauren's body had again gone rigid, but then just as swiftly she relaxed, and those full lips of hers softened, giving into the kiss.

After a few moments of tender kissing, Lauren parted her mouth and extended her tongue, intent on taking the kiss deeper. Her hands traced upward from Stephanie's butt, rubbing along the small of her back and coming to rest on her shoulder blades, holding her close.

At last, after a long, satisfying, first kiss, their lips parted and Lauren stared at Stephanie with a bewildered but happy expression. Her cheeks were blushing deeply.

"Or we could do that," she said, looking down, seemingly embarrassed, yet unable to stop smiling and still holding Stephanie tightly. Her breath was heavy and her body felt warm pressed up against the blonde girl's. Shyly, she spoke up while still staring off to the side. "What do you want to do next?" The way she said it, it was like an invitation to take the lead.

It was likely that Lauren was agreeable to almost any suggestion Stephanie made at this point. Any sign of resistance seemed to have slipped away. She might still be a bit nervous, but Stephanie's persistence and direct approach has certainly paid off. The two of them stand together locked in a close embrace, having had their first kiss, with possibly more to follow.

Re: Stephanie's Story (Ranger Princess)

When Stephanie's lips met Lauren's, her heart soared. It was like she'd been drawn in by some unseen force, by fate or the amusement of some romantic muse to kiss a girl for the first time. It felt better than her wildest dreams. And she had some wild ones! Stephanie sucked on Lauren's lips softly like she would a sweet delicacy. Her arms grasped at Lauren's sides clumsily and began sliding her fingers up and down slowly. Being so close in their embrace, Lauren's scent swept into Stephanie's nose and filled her body with joy, drawing a soft moan from her lips that she gave from herself into Lauren's lips. Stephanie's hands slid to just above Lauren's hips and rested them there as if she was deep in the middle of a romantic slow dance with her partner.

Just when Stephanie was sure this moment couldn't possible get any better, it did. The little blonde felt Lauren's tongue slide between her lips and Lauren's arms slide up her back in an embrace. Stephanie groaned longingly. She squeezed Lauren in a tight hug and returned the deep French kiss passionately. One hand slid up the base of Lauren's neck and laced into her peachy hair. The other arm kept the two in a tight embrace. She adjusted her lips to the kiss, sucking the delicious taste of Lauren's lips as her tongue explored adventurously, on a quest to feel up every inch of Lauren's tongue. Her tongue curled, slithered, and played as they kissed. Stephanie leaned so close into the kiss that one of her feet lifted off the floor, resting on the tips of her toes. Their bodies pressed together snugly, Stephanie could feel Lauren's exquisite orbs nestled snugly within her own through the soft fabric of her loose blouse and the soft thudding of Lauren's heart entwined with her's

The kiss, the moment felt as if time had stopped. Everyone who's had a first kiss knows the feeling, and everyone who hasn't longs for it. It's as if Cupid made a deal with the time keeper to go off duty. Go get yourself a cool glass of lemonade! He says and the time keeper, falling for it every time, lets time stop for those short, precious moments. Or perhaps a different story might tell of an amorous goddess of love that distracts the time keeper with softer, succulent delights of the flesh. Either way, the moment is the same: wonderful.

But like every first kiss and delightful moment, it must come to an end eventually and such was the fate of Stephanie and Lauren's first kiss too. As their lips parted and they slowly pulled away from the sweet lip embrace, Stephanie gazed back at Lauren with a lovestruck smile. Her face was a light shade of pink just like Lauren's as she whispered breathily with her usual excitement.

"Mmmm.. Oh god... sweetie... Wow... just wow. No wait, not just wow. WOW WOW! Hehe!"

Stephanie giggled happily and wrapped Lauren up in a super tight hug, rocking her side to side and sighing softly.

"Ohhh. That was awesome! It felt soooo good."

When Lauren asked her what to do next, Stephanie smiled sweetly then rotated in the peachy professor's arms. She wedged herself under the nook of Lauren's arm and wrapped her own arm around the small of Lauren's back. Stephanie leaned into her and grinned delightedly, brushing her soft blonde hair against Lauren's cheek.

"What do you say to getting that milkshake Peachy?"
