Mel shrugged, getting comfortable as she watched Helena deal them out. Been a while since she had played go fish, gave it kind of a surreal quality...

She chuckled to herself, then took the offered cards, starting to play.

Liz echoed Mel in accepting the dealt cards, looking them over with a pleasant grin on her lips as she waited for the game to begin.

As the game progresses, Helena continues singing, her beautiful voice growing louder little by little. By the time Eliza wins the game, Melbara's feet are itching for wanting to dance, and other people seem to have joined the singing, including some drums and flutes. Were either of them to look outside, they'd see the song encompassing the entire camp, with many a people dancing and singing to it.

Mel sighs as she passes the last card over to Liz, looking down at the scant four pairs she had collected in the game. "Empathic, I am not." She said with a wry chuckle, looking over to Helena as the woman continued to sing. She had been tapping her foot along for most of the game, even humming along to a couple parts that repeated every so often.

The sounds outside gave her pause, though. Peeking out, she found the entire camp pretty well partying, singing the same song Helena had started. The thought of that stopped her tapping foot dead, for the time being, and she turned back to their guest. "Alright, it's a good song, but not that good, I think. What did you do?"

Eliza smiled as the game finished, proud to have won due to her generally bad luck when it came to card games. As she noticed the increased singing from the rest of the camp, she started to feel a bit cheery herself on top of her victory in cards. That feeling tapered somewhat as Mel spoke, however, pointing out how strange the situation seemed, and seemingly accusing Helena of being responsible somehow.

She didn’t quite understand her partners sentiment right away, but as she thought about it, it was a bit odd. Not that the rest of the camp had taken to a bit of song, that happened now and again among the mercenary group to help relieve stress and lighten moods after long days, but the fact that it had come on so suddenly, and that they were singing the same song that Helena was, is what made it feel strange. While she didn’t add to her partners question to other woman verbally, Liz’s features did take on something of a polite curiousness about them as she looked on and awaited the new girl’s response.

Helena stands up, gesturing Mel and Liz to do so as well. *I just... encouraged them a little. Come on, lets dance.* Despite her words appearing in Eliza's and Melbara's minds, Helena continues singing without a pause as she spins around, starting to dance out of the tent.

“Encouraged? What do you...? How...?” Liz began, pausing a moment later when she realized that Helena’s words weren’t coming from her mouth, with her eyes widening slightly in response. Helena was...speaking to her in her mind? How? If she could to that, then did that also mean that she could...that she was...

“You...you messed with their minds?” Eliza said, looking at the woman a bit more warily now, and then blushing slightly as the lewd thoughts that she had been having throughout the evening re-entered her mind. “Then...were all of those...dirty thoughts I was having about you and Mel earlier because of you as well?” she said, glancing at Mel and blushing brightly from embarrassment at what she’d accidentally admitted.

Terribly sorry for the lack of posting for so long. Time and writing inspiration has just been on empty for me recently. I'll make sure not to let such lengthy absences happen again, though. :(

I know exactly what you mean, it's been similar for me as well. No worries, I was fine with waiting.

Mel's gaze was on their guest the entire time Liz spoke, broken only to look back at the other woman at the admission, offering a small shrug in a 'doesn't matter' kind of way before turning back to Helena. "Is there any reason you have for doing all this?" She asked, unsure the kind of answer she was expecting.

Helena slowly stops dancing and turns to look at Mel with her eyes sparkling and still singing the same song. *Hardly all of them. I just helped you get started. And I'm doing this because I like partying. Something wrong with that? Now stop being so serious and start having fun.*

With an impish smile, the strange woman suddenly grabs Eliza's hand and pulls her up and close, her other hand momentarily wandering down on the girl's bottom before she lets go and turns towards Melbara again, offering a hand and an expectant look.

Re: The Art of War(Melbara/Shrike7 & Eliza/xgkf)

Eliza squeaked in surprise as Helena suddenly pulled her to her feet, blushing again as the other woman briefly grabbed her butt before letting go again. She then sheepishly glanced back-and-forth between her and Mel again as she considered Helena’s words, feeling more amazed by this game little by little as they played it. It was a game after all, and you’re supposed to have fun with games...

“I...I guess it couldn’t hurt...” Liz replied to Helena, calming down a little bit. “But...” she added quickly, “...I don’t...I don’t want you to talk to me in my head anymore...or to be messing with my thoughts. As harmless as you’re intentions may have been, it’s...it’s not a very comfortable feeling to know that you can just enter my mind like that.” she said, explaining her feelings as kindly and simply as she could. “And...I don’t think very many others in the camp would appreciate such intrusions if they knew about them, either.”

“Mel and I are responsibility for you while you’re among the company, after all,” Liz added, the soldier in her coming out slightly as she thought back to their debriefing with he sergeant. “So...if you were to do something that arouses suspicion or causes any trouble for the rest of us, then we’re in trouble too because we’re the ones who brought you into camp...” she explained, hoping that Helena understood the risk they were taking by having her in camp, especially now that these apparent telepathic powers of hers had been made known.

Eliza looked over to her partner then to see if she had anything to add, before returning her gaze to Helena to await her response, looking at the other woman with eyes that said that she was willing to lighten up and have a little fun, but that also showed a genuine concern for the well-being of herself, Mel, and the rest of her companions.

Mel's look softened a bit, and she glanced out of the tent for a moment. "And what of the perimeter guards? If they're out there partying as hard as the others, this whole camp is defenseless. Maybe I should just keep watch myself..." She said slowly, considering.

Helena stops singing and sighs, but the singing outside continues all the same. "The perimeter guards are fine. They're too far for me to affect them, anyway."

With an impish grin she turns to look at Eliza, her eyes seeking out Eliza's. The skinny girl can feel something lightly brushing her mind, but it's clear that it doesn't go any further than that. "If you're so worried that I might cause trouble, you should keep me occupied, shouldn't you? Or at least tie me up..."

Mel shook her head a little, as if trying to get something out of it. "I think I'm gonna go and find someplace quiet anyways." She says slowly, putting a hand on Liz's shoulder and giving it a squeeze as she passed, leaning in close and speaking again, just loud enough for the other woman to hear. "Go ahead and have your fun, no worries." She told her, then wandered out of the tent, slipping through the party and headed for the perimeter.

Re: The Art of War(Melbara/Shrike7 & Eliza/xgkf)

Eliza felt a little more relieved as she heard the other woman ensure that the camp perimeter was not at risk. As Helena looked at her again, however, she felt another light touch at the surface of her mind to go along with the impish grin on the woman’s face, clearly indicating that she was the cause.

While the gentle probe didn’t delve any deeper than that, Liz was about the protest the action again when she heard Mel speak up and place a hand on her shoulder as she voiced her intentions to find somewhere more quiet. As her partner slipped out of the tent, leaving her with only a reassuring squeeze of her arm and the apparent blessing to join in on the now camp-wide fun, Liz could only nod in acknowledgment of Mel words before adding a simple “B-Bye...” of her own as she disappeared out of their tent.

Now left alone with Helena, whom she now knew could read and even manipulate her thoughts, Eliza could only gulp and blush lightly as a sense of nervousness slipped back into her mind. “S-So... Um...” she began, unsure of what to do or say now. “W-Well, then... I guess...we...” she said, trailing off as she wondered what was going to happen now...and whether or not Helena would respect her wishes for her to not enter her mind now that Mel was no longer there to provide mental – or if need be, physical – support...especially given the settings that she had chosen when they first entered the EGG...

Re: The Art of War(Melbara/Shrike7 & Eliza/xgkf)

Helena raises an eyebrow at Mel, but doesn't say anything as the tall girl steps out of the tent. Outside, it seems that almost everyone is around campfires, dancing or at least singing and spectacularly, everyone seems to be in a good mood, even their usually grumpy sergeant who is relaxing with the other officers. No-one pays especially much attention to Mel as she passes through, though she gets a few looks as always. Outside the camp, Melbara can still hear the singing. The rain has passed and the evening air feels cool and calm. The familiar weight of chainmail on her shoulders is causing her back to ache a little, and she feels whatever influence there was on her mind quickly fading.

In the tent, Helena steps closer to Liz and wraps her arms around the skinny girl, bringing her mouth near Liz's ear. "Don't worry." Pulling her head back a little, the blonde gently presses her lips on Eliza's for a moment, as if waiting for a reaction.

Re: The Art of War(Melbara/Shrike7 & Eliza/xgkf)

Eliza grew tense almost immediately as Helena stepped forward and gently wrapped her arms around her and whispered in her ear, her nervousness rising in spite of the mysterious woman telling her not to worry. When she pulled her head back and then lightly pressed her lips into Liz’s, the mercenary’s eyes widened slightly at the sudden contact, not entirely surprised due to the suggestive nature of Helena’s demeanor all evening, but still taken aback enough by her forwardness to leave her all but unable to react to the other woman’s kiss, except to blush as she felt the warmth from earlier in the evening beginning to return.

She wasn’t sure what to think at the moment. It would be a lie for her to say she didn’t want things to continue...or maybe even escalate. It was one of the main reasons she was in the EGG in the first place, to safely experience things like this...and more. But...it just didn’t feel right to just let herself seemingly be taken advantage of so easily...even if part of her secretly wanted to be.

Either way, it was unlikely that Liz would be able to fully resist Helena at the moment even if she wanted to, meaning that – for the moment, at least – she was at the mercy of the mysterious woman before her.

"Just relax..."

Sensing Eliza's nervousness, Helena gives her another light kiss and then another, each a little deeper than the previous one. The blonde woman slowly presses herself against Liz, her shapely body feeling warm even through the mail Liz is still wearing.

After a while, she pulls away with a small frown and pokes the mail vest. "How can you stand wearing that all the time?" Without waiting for an answer, the blonde tries to pull it off, though she couldn't manage that without Liz cooperating, of course.

Re: The Art of War(Melbara/Shrike7 & Eliza/xgkf)

In her brief moments of bewilderment, Helena’s words, along with the series of gentle, but ever deepening kisses that she was giving the blue-haired woman, slowly began to eat away at whatever protests her mind was forming at what was happening. Her only reprieve came when Helena finally pulled away briefly with a small frown, allowing Liz a moment to regain some of her senses.

Eliza could only continue to blush, however, as the blonde woman poked at her uniform vest and made to begin trying to remove it. “I-It’s not as...uncomfortable as it seems...” she replied, recoiling slightly, but otherwise making no attempts to really stop what the other woman was doing. After a moment, however, once she fully realized what Helena’s intentions were, Liz’s blush deepened again as she almost breathaly added, “I-I thought...you wanted t-to...dance...”

The blonde girl is half-way through to unbuttoning the blue-haired woman's jacket when Liz starts away, causing Helena's lower lip to move forward in a pouty fashion. "I just want the vest off. You can keep the jacket. For now."

Re: The Art of War(Melbara/Shrike7 & Eliza/xgkf)

“O-Oh... Well, I guess that’s fine then...” Liz replied, calming down slightly in spite of the fact that the other woman had managed to unbutton half of the buttons on her uniform jacket, although her blush remained precisely due to that fact. “I-It would...look kind of funny to go out and...dance in my uniform anyway...” she added before taking a step to the side towards her bedroll, turning so that her back was facing Helena.

After a moment, the blue-haired woman had finished unbuttoning her jacket and slipped it off, revealing the chainmail armor vest she wore underneath. Liz took a moment to rest her jacket on her bedroll before slipping a thumb under the mail straps resting on either shoulder and lifting it up over her head. As it went, the hem of the armor vest caught slightly on the plain white t-shirt that Liz was wearing underneath and pulled it up along with it, exposing the smooth skin of the mercenaries bare-back all the way up to her shoulder blades – just high enough to reveal that she was not wearing a bra – before it fell back down, covering her once again as the chainmail slipped the rest of the way off.

With a soft jingling sound, Eliza set the mail vest down next to her uniform jacket and turned back around to face Helena, now clad in only a comfortable, but form-fitting t-shirt and her black uniform breeches. “S-So... should we go...join the party?” Liz asked with a light blush on her cheeks, unaware that the hardened nipples on her breasts were easily noticeable through her shirt.
