Bio/Description:
Coradivik is, as all of her kin are, a loyal servant of the Spider Queen, The Widow. She is considered a priestess among her own kind, bearing the symbol of the spider goddess permanently inked upon her in the form of a web pattern tattooed in black across both her back and her humanoid torso, parts of it even touch her neck. Her lower half is pitch black with a crimson web design, something that she had been born naturally with and a rarity among her kind. She prefers to go into battle naked, her full huge breasts bare rather than bothering with any armor, and she has become quite adept at avoiding her foe’s strikes, and returning them with her own…. Or binding them, as she often took her victims upon the battlefield, not only breeding more of her kind but ensnaring the wills of her victims in the name of her goddess.
She often spends time, wandering the jungles in search of prey or attacking the aliens and mortals who hold civilized outposts alike.

The OOC section:
I must have victims! Slaves for the Spider Queen! Hosts for my evil spawn and sources of sperm with which to make more!
I'll be in the jungle, obviously.

Go forth, into battle!

Animalistic Competition (Tassadar)

The night was filled with the sound of her fellow denizens of the night, animals and creatures of a far less natural bend calling into the shadows as the great dance that was life and death took its course, the air filled with the calls of both triumph and defeat as predator and prey made their steps in the grand performance...

Coradivik was at the top of the food chain tonight, the moonlight shimmering along her carapace as she stalked through the dense foliage. Moving through the night like a shadow of the most dangerous disposition, her claws and eyes shining almost as brightly as her body in stark contrast to the soft and revealed flesh. There was blood in the air tonight, the rich aroma of another life clear on the wind. Even the trees seemed to quiver in the night as the wind took on a howling gust for a moment and brought the rich scent in so much closer. The patches of light filtering down through the canopy wavered as the dense coverage shifted in the cry of the night air.

Humans, and Gemini, Males, Females. The scent was muddied but it was close, to the north. The south bore no scent at all, the wind carrying only the smell of the others of the night and the prey that would bear such sweet fruit. The choice was hers but it was not an idle scent, several, hard to tell from this distance...
Status: Fine, Hidden, you don't even have to try and be hidden at the moment based on where you are, the night is your time~

Re: CourageWolf Test Thread

Coradivik purred quietly beneath her breath, her eyes shining in the darkness of the hot jungle night. She lifted a claw to her lips and licked it idly, her long, sinuous tongue flicking against the bladed tip of her fingers. 'Prey..... Aliens and their own prey.... But all are my prey.' She thought to herself, letting out a low giggle and then starting forward.

The aliens were dangerous prey. They could serve to both provide seed and carry her children, but they were succubi, all, and she could ill afford to allow them to feed on her energy while she was out in the field. Of course, it could easily be the more mundane variety, the reptiles or the tentacled creatures. The latter were almost useless, but the former were suitable sources of seed if they could be immobilized. The aliens were no doubt hunting the humans, and it seemed suitable that she should hunt them in turn, no? She was, after all, the top predator out here, even alone.

Climbing back up into the treetops, Cora began to follow the scents of her prey, the invaders from the sky, knowing that they would lead her eventually to the more valuable prize.... And thus allow her to eliminate the competition and take her prey all at once.

Re: CourageWolf Test Thread

Up in the trees Cora is at her best, nimbly moving through the dense foliage with all the grace one would expect from someone blessed with extra limbs, Quickly following the scent, the only tale of your presence the slight ruffling of leaves masked by the wind. It takes almost a half hour before the priestess caught site of her Prey, and much to her displeasure, the two she saw were slimes. Black and oozing, surrounded by several thralls and a few cultists. The black robed humans were busy tending to the nude slaves they had procured and were busy corralling them into a wagon of some kind, the Slimes were much farther back, picking through the underbrush with long tendrils, the reason became apparent when a young blonde screamed and was hoisted straight into the air by one of her legs, the tendril coiled tightly around the limb as more extended and ripped what was left of her clothing from her body. The thralls payed no attention whatsoever to the womans plight, nor did the cultists who only spared a glance as she was bound and dragged towards the undulating mass that had captured her... No one had noticed the priestess yet, the night and her position hiding her very effectively from view...

You're roughly 30 feet away from the slimes, and almost 50 from the cultists and the thralls, of which you can't really see all that well.

Re: CourageWolf Test Thread

Slimes. Useless to her, but extremely resilient, and these were the dangerous variety. Spellcasters. How she loathed them. And now, one of her victims was liable to be abused by the stupid little creature. Unacceptable!

Cora crept forward along the trees, not even her silhouette visible in the darkness, and not even causing a leaf to rustle as she positioned herself over the slime. The cultists and the slimes did not interest her. The cultists might make suitable hosts for her young, but the draining of her energies would both strengthen them and leave her vulnerable, and she would likely have her hands full merely taking the thralls back to her lair. Oh, what fun she would have with them!

Coradivik flicked one of her clawed fingers in the direction of the slime that didn't have a captive, unleashing her power at it silently. A magical bubble silently wrapped around it, preventing it from moving or using any of its energies, either on itself or against her. Of course, the confusion provided by the sudden appearance of the magical barrier around the slime would only serve to distract the other creatures further from her presence. The arachne priestess grinned down at the slime that had found the blonde girl for a moment as she magical bound its companion, and then suddenly dropped down upon the creature. Her claws tore into its liquid form, shredding off chunks of the slime and sending them flying away as she held her savage smile throughout her vicious sneak attack.

Get as close as she can to slime 1 (the one grappling the girl that was in the bushes,) then Binding with X = 10 on slime 2, then sneak attack the other one. Spirit powers don't break stealth unless they deal damage, so it shouldn't affect my roll much if at all. Then drop down onto slime two and maul the shit out of it.

Her stealth is 38, her Perception is 28, her Speed is 23, her Resistance is 31, 35 if something is trying to knock her prone, and her Dodge is 68 once she starts clawing at things. She has 11 natural armor.

For the sneak attack, Cora deals 1d8 + 48 damage per hit. Sneak attacking doubles whatever damage she deals.

Sneak Attack, Auto Success. Damage= (18+96)/2=57
Stealth after attack: 38+11+49, Success! End result, One slime down, One slime sealed, and still hidden.

Everything so far works perfectly, the only creature aware of her presence being the slime currently hopelessly bound, its form pressing against its seal, but unable to break it. The cultists and the thralls don't notice either when the massive black body comes from above and tears into the other slime, Coradivik's long razor sharp claws raking deeply into the slimes body as she reaches in for its core and rends it asunder, instantly killing the unfortunate creature with no more sound then the rustling of the underbrush hidden by the wind.

The Slimes intended prey falls to the ground as the surprisingly agile arachne slays it like she would any vermin below the priestess' notice and her head strikes the ground, causing no serious injury, but knocking her unconscious. So far everything was still in her favor, her form in the night like a shadow of death as the true predator of the night claimed what was rightfully hers....

Re: CourageWolf Test Thread

One slime bound in place, the other fallen to pieces. Things were going quite smoothly. The imbecile cultists didn't even notice her! The binding around the other slime would be a drain upon her, but she could handle it until the rest of the creatures were dead. She sincerely doubted that the mindless creature stood a chance against her one on one, and she could return and tear the thing apart at her leisure once she had destroyed its masters.

Cora returned to the trees, creeping along the branches toward the cultists as they loaded the thralls onto a cart, and Coradivik slowly moved toward the unsuspecting cultists with a grin on her face and an expression of glee upon her face. She would have real blood on her claws soon! As soon as she was within range, Cora would drop down, her hands waving as her razor tipped hands carved the nearest of the alien slaves apart, though the arachne made sure to keep the others in her line of sight.

Pay the upkeep for Binding and go kill yon cultist number 1.

Paying 7EP upkeep a round for Binding.

The cultist had no warning as a bladed hand reached from the foliage and covered his mouth before he was dragged back into the underbrush and gutted, dying almost silently in the arms of the predator stalking the forest on this night... Seems that bathroom break was ill-timed.

With fresh blood coating her right arm and pooling around her latest victim Cora waits, hidden. Listening for any sound that hinted that she had been discovered. The Cultists seemed to be well and truly broken, not noticing or caring for their companions abscence. As Cora peered out of the underbrush she noted that there were only two cultist and the slime left. One of the women in the wagon was staring straight at her with glassed over eyes, seeing nothing as the watched into infinity...

Re: CourageWolf Test Thread

Cora paused to smirk for a moment at the helpless cultists, holding a hand over his mouth and raising the other to her lips in a silent shush. That same hand promptly tore his throat out and then disemboweled him in an eerily quiet manner, before dropping his bleeding body to the ground and peering through the leaves at the other creatures. They hadn't even noticed her. Coradivik smiled gleefully and licked some of her first victims blood off of one of her bladed fingertips, pausing momentarily to glance at the still bound slime. Soon, it would face the same fate as its comrade, but for now she could afford to wait.

Content that it was still bound in its bubble for now, Cora calmly waited for an opportunity to do much the same to the next cultist, pouncing upon him as soon as an opportunity presented itself and rending him asunder much like she had the first.

Pay the upkeep for Binding and kill cultist number 2.

The Second cultist died much like the first, his eyes filled with abject terror as he torn asunder by the creature lurking the shadows this night, blood spraying violently across the undergrowth. As the Slime actually broke free the last remaining cultist spun on the spot and his eyes peered into the darkness. "Guys... Guys!?" He still couldn't see Cora, but he was now on his toes and terrified, his fellows were gone and it was hardly a leap of intuition as to what had happened. The Slime was slowly moving back towards the cart full of slaves.

The Cultist drew himself up and began to glow faintly with an unholy light as a steady chant began to flow from his lips while several balls of light flew out from the slimes body and began to illuminate the surrounding area, searching slowly. It seemed this was a routine they had used many times while looking for fresh captures and places to hide were running out fast, Cora would have to act or risk being seen by either the slime or the cultist, Whichever would be worse was hard to tell, but opening herself to an attack from either was risky...

Re: CourageWolf Test Thread

(Cora's sheet barely changes, so I'm not going to repost it. One less instance of Clawed feet and the bonuses from Knight and Berserker both dropping by 1 are the only alterations.)

'Mages... Of course....' Cora frowned and withdrew from the scouring lights, retreating back up into the trees. They were aware that a threat was present now, and that meant that she had to be more careful. Still, there was only one of the alien cultists and one of the slimes left. Whatever spell he had cast wouldn't be enough to protect him from her, particularly since he'd never even see her coming. Wasting no time, Cora positioned herself over the corrupted human, and silently fell upon him with murderous intent.

Murder time!

Her stealth is 38, her Perception is 28, her Speed is 23, her Resistance is 31, 33 if something is trying to knock her prone, and her Dodge is 67 once she starts clawing at things. She has 10 natural armor.

And once again, fell on her target with crushing force and overwhelming violence... Only to fall completely through the image of the cultist who flickered and spun to face her. only to see shadow...

Cora had retreated back into the undergrowth, the spheres of light continuing to slowly rotate around the area. With a smirk Cora saw the missing cultist come out of the wagon, hitching his robe back into place and glancing around as he stood next to his illusion, his eyes wide and his hair disheveled. Looking at the ground and examining the marks in the soil caused by Cora's attack on his illusion he chose one of the floating orbs nearby and detonated it with a blinding flash, leaving Cora with a splitting headache and her vision flared out, it would take a few seconds for her to be able to see properly again...

Re: CourageWolf Test Thread

Cora barely stopped herself from letting out an angry hiss as one of the balls of light exploded, and she couldn't shield her eyes before the flash gave her a headache and caused her to see nothing but spots. She knew that it wouldn't last very long, but she also knew that he wouldn't give her much time in which to recover.

It didn't really matter though. Cora had senses other than sight to rely on, and the arachne shut her eyes and smiled menacingly as she reached out with one hand, feeling with her spiritual sense for her prey. Closing her bladed fingers like a vice as she remained otherwise completely still, Cora caused astral chains to wrap around the man who had caused the magical mine to explode, binding him to the ground and keeping him from being able to access his magic.

Binding X = 10 on the cultist. DC 50 Resistance check or Bound and no magic or powers, and even with Blinded she still has a +53 to hit with Spirit Powers. Berserker and Knight do count toward it. She'll continue hiding where she's at, waiting for the Blindness to wear off so that she can deal with the slime.

As Cora lashed out with her spirit at the annoying mage, her vision started to clear, and the Arachne had the distinct pleasure of seeing him hit the dirt as the chains pinned him to the ground. The Slime was still at a loss as to what to do and as the night filled with light, its form shuddered, exhausted and disheartened. With nothing more then the will to accomplish it Cora could choose to end them both right now and claim her prize, the fight was over, they just hadn't figured that out yet...

Re: CourageWolf Test Thread

As her vision returned to her and she found herself out in the open, Cora almost panicked. Then she realized that the slime was still oblivious to her, and the cultist was quite paralyzed by her metaphysical chains. That brought a smile to the wicked arachne's face all too quickly, and she casually crept over and slit the bound alien's throat, her claws tearing into him with vicious ease as she diverted her attention to the sole remaining slime. Unless it noticed her, Cora dealt with it exactly like it had dealt with all the rest, approaching it silently with her claws barred, moving in for the kill.

(Execute, feel free to just roll through it if you want. It's not like much is going to change even if she does get spotted.)

Re: CourageWolf Test Thread

The spray of blood, the smell of death, the moonlight.... There was nothing in the world quite like victory... As Cora dealt the finishing blows to her opponents and turned to wonder at the task of moving all of the Thralls. Taking a quick headcount Cora was a little surprised, 17 women, all beyond struggling or resisting waited docilely in the wagon, only giving the Arachne the barest of glances as she moved.

The sounds of the night continued unabated as the dim light of the moon filtered through the trees, the wind carrying the smell of combat to the south as it lazily whistled past. Cora had her prize, and the cultists seemed to have a small amount of coin on them as well, the question, was how to move them all...

Re: CourageWolf Test Thread

Cora surveyed her prizes with a smile as she licked the blood from her fingers, the arachne barely able to contain her joy. The invaders always had preferred female prizes for some reason, but the spider woman had never bothered to try and find out what that reason might be. Truth be told, she had as little to do with them as possible, as she had ruled most varieties of their servants out as suitable hosts or sources of seed. First, however, there was one more prize to find, as Coradivik sought out the girl that the slime had dropped when she had bound it. As far as the arachne had seen that girl was the only one with any sense remaining among the aliens captives, and though she was probably still out cold Cora still made sure to find her and put her into the cart with the rest. All the while, she made sure to keep on alert, for even the most dangerous of predators could find themselves turned into prey in the jungle if they grew overconfident.

Even though they all seemed quite docile, Cora made sure to bind her new captives in silk anyway, and took the bodies of the humanoid invaders as well once she'd searched all of them for any valuables. Though she had no expenses, Cora collected their money anyway, given that she could likely put such to use somehow even if she couldn't use it to improve herself.

Everything went off without a hitch for Cora, even the taste of blood on her claws was sublime... Right up until she went to go find the woman that had been captured just as she had entered the scene...

She found her alright, sitting up in a nearby tree and smiling down at the arachne, her eyes flashing an off red shine and her body giving off a distinct feeling of... Wrong... Not death, not life, not even that strange shade of grey reserved for the undead, no... Whatever she... or it was, was something Cora had never felt or seen before.

Looking down at the spider woman, her eyes flashing dangerously, she spoke. The sound of her voice reminded Cora of the scrape of steel on stone, unnatural, almost painful to listen to.

Well well well... I should really thank you for doing my work for me, capturing all of this beautiful bounty would have been difficult for me. Walk away.

There was no doubt, the last two words had been a command, the creature would not take no for an answer...

Coradivik raised a skeptical eyebrow at the woman as she spoke, blatantly not in her own voice. "Begone spirit, or whatever you are. This is my catch!" With that, Cora calmly and casually slashed at the possessed girl's throat with her claws.

Cora's attack didn't reach the woman's throat, but it did tear a ragged wound across her arm. The woman didn't make a sound at the wound, and it didn't bleed. Smirking, something like black ink or smoke seemed to pour from the wound and cover her body, and in the flash of a moment, in the suddenly very quiet night, the woman simply ceased to be there. If Cora were to take the time to look around, she would see the same woman standing in the wagon, her hand resting on the side as she smiled at the Arachne.

her unnatural voice called out again, louder this time, and it seemed to rip through the night. "I would stand back for this one, if I were you..."

That same blackness seemed to be bleeding from her and into the surrounding air. Whatever she was planning, it was big...
