Re: Are the stars right?(Helena/Courage Wolf)

"King's orders, miss. No-one goes in or out without escort." replies the grunt with the torch as he escorts Helena down the dark, musty staircase. At the bottom of the staircase, there's another locked door, and as the guard opens it, Helena sees scratch marks on the inside that couldn't have been made by a human. Beyond the door, there's a long corridor. On the left side, there's a row of cells, each with small window on the door to see what's inside, and a latch to push meals through. Other than the torch, there doesn't seem to be any lights here, and water is slowly making its way on the floor on several spots on the wall. "This is where we keep ordinary humans. Shall we continue?"

Helena looked around, hmming thoughtfully, before nodding. Absolutely, I sincerely doubt I'll be bringing many Humans in. So, you're all safe then aren't you. Helena said, joking a little with the guard and wanting to be shown more.

as a general question though, How deep does this dungeon go? she asked, following.

"Safe enough." the guard replies, starting down the hallway and going through two more doors, the first made entirely of stone, the second of greenish metal. Beyond that door, most doors are made of steel, though some are either iron of questionable quality or silver. "These are the VIP cells." The guard says, opening the door to one and showing that it's empty. "As you can see, they're actually quite comfortable - though still secure, obviously. They even have actual beds." he points out, and indeed, the cell is moderately spacious and includes a bed, places for candles, and even a desk and a chair.

So wealth buys comfort even in here huh? Intersting. Helena replied, looking the cell over before turning back to the guard.

I'd like to keep looking, but while we walk, what was that greenish metal on the second door? I've seen it before, but I admittedly don't know what it is. she asked, tilting her head as she gestured the guard on, mapping the place in her head.

"Oh, that's really expensive stuff. I once heard an alchemist call it adamantine. Said it was the strongest material in the world. Only comes from fallen stars and mines deep beneath the mountains." the guard replies, closing the door and continuing onwards until they come to a latch in the floor. The latch is also made of steel. "And here we have the Pit. No-one gets to come out alive, though some survive longer than others." he says in a conversational tone, apparently not seeing anything particularly horrific about that.

Nothing huh? I have a hard time believing that. But, I'm not about to jump in. Even if I can fly. What about other facilities. Interrogation rooms and the like? she asks, curious.

Re: Are the stars right?(Helena/Courage Wolf)

"Well, anything too dangerous to throw in there is killed - usually staked, or so I hear - rather than imprisoned. No point throwing something down there that'll just slaugher the others, after all." He pauses for a moment, following Helena's next question. "Interrogation?" He chuckles and continues the tour to the next door, throwing it open. "And here's our torture chambers. Filthy job, glad it's not me doing it. I don't think they actually interrogate much, to be honest. That's Kargat's job, not ours. Though sometimes they do... break people." There are five chambers, each with a small window with a bar running through the middle.

Uh huh, who do you think I'm working with? helena said as he mentioned the Kargat, raising an eyebrow. She may just be a demonic errand girl, but she knew full well what branch she'd be working with or through.

And... Break people? she said, catching the odd turn of phrase as she entered the chamber, looking in each as well as at the implements in the room.

Re: Are the stars right?(Helena/Courage Wolf)

"If you actually DO work for Kargat, then you'd know that your prisoners will never see the castle." the guard replies. "Oh, I think you know what I mean." he continues, his voice suddenly quiet and somber.

The first chamber has the most basic tools of a torturer, revised numerous times until perfection for all tastes was acquired. The center piece of this chamber is three tables, each with straps and chains for restraining the victim whichever way the torturer prefers. The walls, though, are lined with knives. At least, Helena THINKS they're knives, in every nightmarish shape and form, though some of them resemble files more than any conventional knife. There's also a section devoted to needles, and another for hammers, ranging for small ones for breaking fingerbones to large ones capable of smashing a major joint. There are also several bone saws and a wicked looking axe, hanging next to the door. Were Helena to study the knives more closely, she'd realize that while most are ordinary if highly polished steel, there are some of silver, some of iron, and even a few that are gold, or other exotic materials.

The second chamber looks like a madman's playhouse: There are several iron maidens and several workbenches fitted with restaints. There are also thumbscrews, pears of anguish, racks, a spinning wheel that would hold the victim's head under water, a firepit with tongs for applying hot coals, a small pot half-full of lead with a ladle next to it, pincers, drills, hooks, barbed wire and all manner of exotic and monstrous torture devices Helena doesn't even know the names for.

The third chamber is filled with restrains of different kinds, from stocks and pillories to kinky leather, often in configurations that to Helena's practiced eye suggest shapes no ordinary human is meant to bend into.

The fourth chamber has a stink that brings tears to the guard's eye, though the fumes don't seem to affect Helena. In fact, the room resembles a well-stocked alchemist's laboratory, with numerous chemicals and acids and powders around. Of course, there's also a perfectly ordinary workbench that just happens to have restraints attached to it. Oh, and there appears to be a piece of mummified skin stuck into one of them. There are also two doors leading further into the laboratory. After all she's seen, Helena is almost afraid of opening the fifth door...

Re: Are the stars right?(Helena/Courage Wolf)

Helena looks at everything fairly dispassionately. I said With. Not For. I'm not Kargat. We both benefit from the arrangement, and you'll find I can get someone to talk with little more then a touch. Helena said, hinting just a little.

She runs her fingers over the various implements very carefully, noting the curves and whorls in the blades, as well as what's behind each door, stopping for the longest time in front of what is mostly a restraint room. And some of them look quite fun. Though... they'd need to be modified a little... and cleaned, definitely cleaned.

Hey! A straightjacket! she says, scooping it off the wall, and inspecting it, cleaning it with cantrips while she continues to look around. The 4th door is obviously a lab. And there's some stuff in here that definitely get her attention. She noted the guards discomfort, and wondered if he noticed her Complete LACK of any discomfort, before she moved to the fifth door.

You'll find my friend. That I wont exist most of the time. I'll come and go, and do my best to avoid getting in your way. But like I said, I may bring important specimens straight here. I think I can trust this place to hold them. she continued quietly, opening the 5th door.

3 things. 1, this place will work well. 2. I applaud you for not taking my offer and insisting on following your orders, and 3. It is never a secret that I came here. In fact, you'll find King Azalin will want to know about my comings and goings extensively. So if asked by all means, share everything. she continued, looking into the last room.

Re: Are the stars right?(Helena/Courage Wolf)

The last chamber is completely empty, save for a single, comfortable looking chair in the middle. The only hint that this is a torture chamber is that there are some padded restraints for attaching the victim to the chair, yet Helena feels a chill running down her spine just watching the room. "I'll try to remember that, miss." the guard definitely noticed Helena's lack of reaction, though he doesn't seem to think it particularly unusual, probably because of her association with Kargat. As she is talking, she notices some subtle, sweet scent amidst the stink coming from the laboratory.

Helena, spotting the chair, was immediately interested, but something else caught her attention. Turning, she probably did something that would make the Guard blanch and vomit if he did the same, she raised her nose at the lab's door, and inhaled deeply.

What... is that... she said quietly, following the sweet scent curiously, though wondering what the chair did.

Re: Are the stars right?(Helena/Courage Wolf)

The guard seems a bit nervous about going into the laboratory, but nevertheless follows Helena. The scent seems almost familiar, in a way that appeals to some part of her new heritage and it probably registered only because of that. Following the scent, Helena arrives at the left door from the entrance. Beyond the door are two pools of odd liquids with a narrow walkway between, the first shiny black and the second vibrant pink. There's also a crane there, for dipping victims in the pools. Now that the smell is stronger, it feels almost intoxicating.

Re: Are the stars right?(Helena/Courage Wolf)

Helena, following the scent doggedly, came across the left door, and what was inside, breathing it deep. She wasn't immediately sure which pool the scent was coming from, but she was intrigued. This scent spoke to a part of her that hadn't been stroked like this since Hell, and she wanted to know why.

Walking along the walkway, she knelt down to sniff both pools curiously.

Re: Are the stars right?(Helena/Courage Wolf)

The walkway is slippery, and Helena almost stumbles as she kneels down. The black pool smells a little like latex and a little like slime, though there must be other components there as well. Smelling the pink pool, though, was probably a bad idea. Unadulterated by other substances, it smells like heaven. The stuff, like, also makes her feel a bit woozy. Which is totally okay, because it smells soooo good.

Re: Are the stars right?(Helena/Courage Wolf)

The black pool had her intriqued. Very much so, and she stuck a finger into it curiously, before inhaling over the pink one, and having her pupils grow as she got wobbly a little. But it was fine, it was okay... This smell was so gooood.

Moaning softly to herself, eyes wide, she leaned further over the pool, scooping some up with her hand to taste it, bringing it to her lips before drinking some, which probably meant to the guard she truly looked fucking Insane, and more then a little dangerous.

Fortitude: 14+1=15(DC 13)
No effect

The black pool resists Helena's poke with its rubbery consistency, and starts shifting ever so slightly. Then Helena tastes the goo from the pink pool. As soon as she touches it, she can feel tingling on her hand. The liquid tastes truly vile and at the same time, wonderful. Her hand feels all pleasant, though, and part of her wants to jump into the pool or at least cover her entire body with the stuff. It seems to be leaving a thin film of itself on her skin where-ever it touches her.

Re: Are the stars right?(Helena/Courage Wolf)

Helena purrrrs to herself as she tastes it, now completely ignoring the guard as she quickly and efficiently strips down, soon completely naked, her clothes folded on the walkway, before slipping into the pink pool, submerging completely. She ignored the unpleasant part of the taste and found that it was in fact, to her, Wonderful.

Her entire body tingling, she couldn't help but slip a hand between her thighs as she closed her eyes and sank, the other grasping her breast for a long moment, moaning up a bubble, before working to climb back out onto the walkway.

Re: Are the stars right?(Helena/Courage Wolf)

Fort: There aren't enough dice in the world, but I rolled anyway. 4+1=5. DC: Fuck if I'll try to calculate, probably around 400-ish due to stacking rules for poisons. Frequence of 10 minutes, 6 saves. 1 point of wisdom and intelligence damage that can't reduce the scores below 3. Additionally, the poison makes the victim horny and highly suggestible(will DC 13 to avoid following any orders given to her unless they're obviously suicidal or openly conflict with her nature) for the duration. 2 successful saves to end the effect(side effects last until ability damage is cured). Exposure to 200 doses for combined duration of 10 minutes *
Current stats:
Intelligence: 15 Wisdom: 13

The guard seems halfway between terrified and confused as Helena strips down and dives into the pool and straight into a wonderful land filled with flowers and floating hearts. Then she realizes that she still needs oxygen and clampers out of the sticky stuff. Her body feels all kinds of warm, and the pink goo seems to form a thin film around her body. She's still aware enough to realize that this stuff is quickly starting to effect her judgement. Eventhough the walkway is slippery, now that she's covered in pink goo, she somehow manages not to dive right into the black pool by accident. The guard is still staring at her, clearly unsure of how to proceed.

Re: Are the stars right?(Helena/Courage Wolf)

Woooow this stuff is cool Helena said, looking down at herself, her body aching slightly with lust as she saw the guard, and then looked down at the other pool.

I want to know what this does now... she said, flopping her butt down onto the walkway, her nipples hard, and flopping down into that as well. Hey! Hey you! Mmm, you. I might need help out of this one... It's all sticky. she said as her legs slipped in, before flopping down into the black stuff, closing her eyes, before sinking in, and then flopping back out.

At least she didn't Drink any of this one. But, once she was out, she wiped around her eyes to clear them, and then stood up, looking down at herself. I like this room... I want this room. Hey! Can I have this room?
