The wolf soon disappears from Helena's view, but the chase continues and Helena can feel the wolf's excitement at the chase. Finally Helena can feel the feelings of the prey dying out and Fenrir stops to eat it.

"Please don't be a kitten, please don't be a kitten, I like kittens!" Helena said charging along and stopping just short, wondering what Fenrir had caught and hoping it wasn't a kitten. or a kid, or baby, or person, or a thousand other bad things.

It takes Helena a while to catch up and when she does, she finds out that the prey seems to have be a small deer, and Fenrir is eagerly tearing its flesh to get into the guts.

It was just Bambi. Good, Fuck that little bastard, he was useless anyway. Letting Fenrir enjoy his meal, Helena headed lazily back to camp and just continued waiting and watching. She was still worried about the cultists, and eager to see the ship arrive for the salvage. Either way, it was sure to be an interesting night.

It takes a good while for Helena to get back into the camp, and everything seems to be just like it was when she left. The wind is moving some branches of a nearby bush like it moves everything else... but then a single branch moves to a wrong direction.

Helena isn't really paying attention, But then... in the moving wind, Helena isn't thinking she sees something, she's dead fucking certain. But rather then react, she acts like nothing at all is out of the ordinary, before muttering a few words and twisting her hands in a very simple and familiar sign, to her at least, Pants'ing the Bush of many secrets!

Whatever is in the bush doesn't seem to react as Helena's spell fizzes ineffectively. Then the bush shakes again, and Helena can hear a dry branch snapping.

Helena immediately spawns a bazzillion and one tendrils and dives into the bush, attempting to snuggle any living thing within reach, even the bush if it was indeed the bush and not something hiding within the bush. If she managed to snag something, or even touch it, It was time for a lust infusion the likes of which would make Jasmine twitch...

There's a loud yelp as the wolf that was apparently hiding in the bush is grasped by Helena's tentacles, and it starts struggling to get away. Strangely, Helena's mental attack seems to have no effect.

Helena refuses to let the wolf go, pinning it to the ground and probing at it's mind, curious as to why it was immune to being affected by her, which was something that had never happened in recent memory. "What are you..." Helena asked aloud.

The wolf somehow manages to stay upright, and after a moment it rushes forward with surprising strength, escaping from Helena's grasp and bolting away.

Helena yelps as the wolf wriggles free and bolts off, The words and gestures of another spell already forming as she summons a thread of silk and throws it at the wolf, one hand wrapped tightly around her own wrist. The magical thread was strong enough to support her weight easily, and possibly too strong for the wolf to break on it's own. an impromptu leash in a weird situation.

The silk thread hits the wolf's back, but the wolf doesn't stop, it's momentum pulling Helena off of her feet. Though slowed down, the wolf still tries to run, dragging Helena behind it.

Helena concentrates on holding the spell, her tendrils grabbing nearby trees to anchor herself. "FOR THE LOVE OF GOD JUST STOP AND TALK! I KNOW YOU'RE NOT A FUCKING WOLF!"

Helena manages to grab the tree and miraculously manages to stop the wolf, which snarls at Helena just as the strand dissipates before bolting again.

"You Motherfucker!" Helena shouts, dropping her weight to next to nothing as she used her arms, legs, tendrils, and a LONG tail to rocket through the forest, her legs growing longer as did her arms, becoming a grotesque monster with a hideously long stride and incredible speed, her muscles no longer having any resistance from her weight and her tendrils and tail used to propel herself and steer as she gave chase, not about to let the damn thing get away. *JASMINE! FIND THE WOLF I'M CHASING AND CATCH IT! IT'S SOMETHING ELSE IN DISGUISE!*

In flight, Helena manages to almost catch the snarling wolf, only for it to melt into a hazy shape made of mist that turns back to float towards the river.

*Wolf? Where are you?* Jasmine responds, getting closer quickly.

*Look for my Rage! FUCK! It's Mist now! What the Fuck!* Helena sent as she exploded towards the mist, her blood running hot and a bolt of ice in the air as soon as the message was sent. "I can Freeze Vapor Asshole!" She screamed as she continued chasing the mist, sprouting wings if necessary to give chase

Helena shrieks as she follows, her spell list coming to mind and coming up with NOTHING useful at all as she hurtled after it. *How do you stop Mist!?* Helena asked frantically as she chased what shouldn't even be possible. Whatever it was, its ability to transform was even greater then her own in some respects, and she REALLY didn't want to try her last plan...
