Cindy hesitates. "I don't think so. But there's weird rumors about him having a demon at his service."

Helena immediately stopped and stared at that little tidbit of information. "That would be Bad... We need to scout this place out, Jasmine, you think you would be able to tell?"

If he had a demon, or was a demon, then Jasmine would be hard pressed to accomplish much if it was powerful. She doubted it was as strong as Jasmine, but the amount of problems it could cause could be utterly catastrophic...

"Probably. Let's go."

Cindy takes the lead again, leading them towards the southwall. The manor is surrounded by other manors, most of them larger than it is. There's a disquieting feel around the place, and the streets are kept free of beggars by frequent guard patrols. *I sense...something strange. I don't think there's a demon in there, though. Still, this could be riskier than I thought.*

"Would be nice if there was someone closer we could pump for information. If you think this is a bad idea, then we can back out now and find another way..."

If Jasmine was nervous, then Helena was nervous, and everyone within a 10 mile radius should probably be nervous. Helena could think of a few ways to find out, and they were only mildly suicidal... She should probably stay away from suicidal. Still, something was itching at her about the place, and it wasn't just the feeling that she was about to sprout fur. If she had power like she used to she wouldn't have hesitated, but she didn't. "What do you think the chances are you can just blink inside?"

"I think we can do it. Whatever it is, it's not very powerful. I could get inside, but there are people around, so I would be seen."

"You can shapeshift Jasmine... Disguise yourself as someone else, And THEN do that." Helena said snickering "But if we can do it as planned, then lets go and get some rest before we get this night started. I don't want to be yawning while we do this."

Cindy simply nods and takes them back to the den before going to fetch them lunch.

Helena picks at her lunch, but nerves offset her usually rampant appetite. Finally forcing herself to eat, she finished and settles in a chair, occasionally dozing off but generally just spending her time not moving and resting as best she could.

After lunch Cindy leaves to prepare for tomorrow, leaving Helena alone with Jasmine. Sensing Helena's mood, Jasmine busies herself with reading the paperwork still on the desk before settling on a chair next to Helena. As the sun begins to set, Cindy comes back bringing some fruits and salad.

Helena eats light, just enough to give her the juice to move without cramping her up or making her sluggish. Taking a great deal of time to stretch and limber up, she made an effort to mentally prepare herself for what could be coming, this was going to take some sacrifice on her part most likely.

Jasmine doesn't eat at all, instead spending the time focused inwards. When Helena speaks, she gets up slowly. "Let's go."

Clouds have gathered in the sky and a strong wind howls in the narrow streets, promising a storm. As the darkness starts settling in, most of the beggars quickly clear from the streets, leaving them a domain for those who would sell themselves or other questionable things and with scarcely a guard in sight to protect the unwary, no doubt showing just how little the nobles care of the common man. While most manor houses are lit brightly, with sounds of merriment clearly echoing out of them, the house of Oleg Vishnek stands dimly lit, with eerie silence surrounding it. The servants gate is open, and a shadowy figure is waiting on the other side.

Helena moves through the streets and has to struggle not to scratch, god it was annoying. Looking around her at the destitute state of the town, Helena sets her jaw.

As they near the manor, Helena commits to memory the structures they saw during the day and overlaps them on the sight at night, making sense of the shadows. Taking the lead, Helena steps through the gate, keep her eyes low. If she could keep the attention away from Jasmine then more the better...

Jasmine seems to have adapted a demure demeanor as well. The figure gestures them to step inside before closing the gate after them. "Follow me, please." Even the man's whisper sounds unnaturally loud in the silence that seems to encompass the manor. He leads the two women through backdoor and up a narrow flight of stairs into a rather bare sitting room with three chairs around a table and a fire heating the room as well as adding to the already rather bright light coming from two large oil lamps hanging from the ceiling.

Turning to study the pair, the man reveals himself to be a gentle looking man with only the streaks of grey in his hair revealing his age. After a few moments her speaks, in a normal voice this time: "Please wait here." He turns and leaves through double doors at the opposite side of the room from where they came from. *Well. This isn't what I expected.*

Helena takes care to memorise everything, the route, the door, the gate, all of it. But as the man reveals himself Helena tilts her head a little in confusion. Telling them to wait Helena nods and looks around as soon as his back is turned, finally letting her gaze settle on the fire. *Agreed, but there's no telling what's actually going to happen...*

Several minutes pass. Suddenly Jasmine smiles and whispers to Helena: "I fear things may not be quite as they seem. We would do well to wait before slaying this monster of a man."

Some more time passes, then loud footsteps come from the double doors and they swing open. "It is now often I find myself in such a strange company. Sit down." The man is wearing a simple white robe, but carries himself in the manner of a soldier or perhaps a leader of soldiers, and a sword is hanging from his belt. His handsome face is still quite young, and marred only by a single scar near his left eye.

He walks over slowly, sitting in one of the chairs and studying the pair in front of him curiously.

Helena nods and takes a seat, never taking her eyes off of the man, and doing just as she was asked, following Jasmine's lead, wondering what the hell was going on...
