The men turn to look at Helena and Jasmine as one, showing their harsh and scarred faces that probably weren't ever very fair. "Hullo there. Where is your way taking you?"

Helena picked up the pace a little, closing the distance before answering, not wanting to shout out here. "We're headed to Liara, You?"

The apparent leader who talked before smiles. "Our way seems to be headed to that direction, too, and from there where ever adventure shall take us. Would you mind sharing an escort? There are many dangers here, even for those who possess of some strength."

Helena smiles back, "Gladly, we had a run in with these tiny ugly little green bastards earlier, gave us more then our fair share of hassle." They seemed nice, Jasmine would know more then she did... *Anything I should know about our newfound allies*

"'Tis our pleasure, m'lady." The man affords a small bow to Helena and Jasmine. *They seem like men of honor. Let's hope they won't cause any problems.*

The men wait for Jasmine and Helena to catch up before starting to walk again, apparently not ones for small talk.

Helena is more then happy with the quiet, watching their new friends closely just in case. You could never tell out here...

Just one foot in front of the other, step by step towards their destination.

The men don't seem at all suspicious of the two women accompanied by a giant spider, signalling either confidence or naivete. Several hours later, one of them points out a campsite, and the trio starts working, two of them setting up two tents while the third starts gathering wood. Jasmine helps with wood-gathering as well, apparently unsurprised by the routine.

Helena gets things ready for dinner as the others prepare. As the fire is started and everything seems to be handled, she starts cooking, vegetables and the dried and salted meat making a pretty decent stew, the smell quickly wafting through the air. "Who's Hungry!" Lord she seemed to be cooking a lot these days she thought as she chuckled, missing her microwave immensely.

The men eat rather quickly, complimenting Helena's cooking, before setting up a watch list, with Helena being first, then Jasmine and then the men. After a while they retire into the larger tent.

Helena smiles at the compliment helping to clean everything up before taking first watch, staying near the fire and keeping it lively. When her watch was over, she would rouse Jasmine and go to sleep.

The night passes uneventfully, and when Helena wakes up in Jasmine's arms again, she can smell the porridge already being cooked over the fire.

Helena smiles at Jasmine and slowly wriggles her way loose, Getting up and dressed. "Come on sleepyhead, Breakfast is cooking." heading out, she called a good morning to the men, and sat near the fire for breakfast.

The men are already armored and eating with their weapons nearby, and they greet Helena and Jasmine happily as the two come out of the tent. A short while later they pack the tents again before heading back to the road.

Helena helps pack up before they set off again, finally relaxing a little and starting to sing, enjoying the early morning sun and the soft breeze moving down the road. Maybe today would suck less.

After a long day the group arrives at the gates of what turns out to be a rather small town with the streets filled with beggars and a general feeling of resignation. The men bid Helena and Jasmine good bye before heading their own way, leaving Jasmine looking around with an expression of disgust on her face. *And this was supposed to be a city. I'd strangle Akar if I could get to him.*

Helena is disappointed as they reach their destination, but still gives the men a smiling farewell and a thank you. *Mind if I watch? The hell do we do now? Try and collect better info and move on? The fact that this place is packed with beggars worries me. Something is wrong here and I dont think we should stay if it can be avoided...*

Keeping Strike at her immediate side, Helena gives a sigh and walks into the town.

*Staying here... Great. But alright* Heading farther into the town, Helena looks for an Inn, hoping she'd get lucky here as well. She'd rather sleep outside the town then with the beggars.

Jasmine stands still for a moment and closes her eyes. After a few moments she opens them again. *Not a lot of fun going on in here, not that I expected it. There are some nobles or the like, but going after those would be risky. Or we could go find some people of newfound wealth. Less risky in some ways, but possibly more in others. What do you think?"

Thinking about it for a moment, she could think of several options. Old money would have more power, more influence and if something went wrong, more consequences. New money was easier, and a little safer...
