Helena: 1/8 Jasmine: 0/47 MP 30/35, 2 goblins remaining, one of them wounded.

Helena's swing hits the goblin hard, smashing it aside. As she turns to face the other two, one of them manages to put an arrow into her stomach, almost crippling her with the pain.

Not even noticing the arrow, so all consuming was her rage, she charged the last standing creature, swinging down with all the force she could muster... Only one thing mattered, Jasmine. Nothing in this world, not her pain, not her injuries or her problems, only the woman who had saved her time and time again, she couldn't fail now, not like this, not in this place...

Goblins: One is killed by Helena's AoO, the other misses.

Helena: 19, 8 damage

Helena's swing misses, but as the goblins try to take aim, she manages to finish off the wounded one with another wild swing, connecting to its head with a loud crack. The remaining goblin misses miserably, only to be struck down by another blow.

Panting heavily, covered in gore, her weapon dripping with the last remnants of the creatures, she immediately runs over to Jasmine, screaming in pain now that she finally noticed her wound and falling to her knees. Gritting her teeth Helena uses her small weapon as a crutch to rise again, stumbling over to her sister and binding her wounds as best she could. Managing this, to whatever degree of success she could manage, she pulled Jasmine's arm over her shoulder and hefted her across her back, moving as quickly as she could back towards the village.

Through pain and blood and fire and hell itself, Helena would move, carrying her fallen friend to the only people who could possibly help her. Ignoring the pain, the fatigue, the still raging bloodlust, she took one step after another...

As Helena grabs Jasmine, the succubus seems to come to. "Ugh. That...didn't go well." She gestures Helena to sit down and, with effort, starts chanting the now familiar words of a healing spell, stopping herself from bleeding.

Seeing Helena come around was one of the most welcoming sights she had ever seen. Muttering "O thank god" She did as she was told, sitting and letting her head sag. With the adrenaline always came a moment of exhaustion, and it hit her now. Had the pain not been there to keep her awake, she would have passed out, not having Jasmine's stamina, but it did, spurring her awake as she had to grimace again, the movement stirring the wound.

"I'm so glad your... I... " Letting the sentence fall silent, Helena's emotions seemed to catch up, tears rolling down her face silently in a mix of pain and joy, relief flooding through her...

Jasmine quickly tears the arrows sticking out of her before healing the worst of her wounds and turning to Helena and looking at the arrow sticking out of her stomach with a serious expression. Pushing Helena down, she grabs the arrow. "This is going to hurt." With a sudden movement she tears the arrow out of helena's flesh, forcing a scream out of her as it feels as if the arrow had hit her again. Then soothing magic flows into her and the wound knits itself closed.

As the arrow comes free, Helena does scream, the pain flooding through her like white hot fire, spreading from the wound. The flames were quickly quenched with Jasmine's power, Helena curling up on the ground clutching her stomach after the wound had closed. Panting raggedly, she slowly uncurled and got back up. "I hate this place, I hate those things, I hate the fucking werewolves... I find the longer I'm here the more I hate it all..."

As soon as Jasmine was done with the healing, Helena hugged her, squeezing hard before composing herself and stepping back, going to check the corpses of the horrid little things for anything useful. She hadn't been all that bad at archery in gym, maybe one of the bows had survived...

Jasmine returns the hug, doing her best to comfort Helena. "We'll get to a city soon, and then we wont have to worry about monsters."

The wicked creatures all had bows and short swords, but unfortunately they're all almost toy-sized for her.

Helena picks up one of the short swords at least, more like a long knife for her, and slides it into her pack. A blade was always handy, even if this one would make a shit weapon. Spitting on a nearby corpse, Helena comes back out onto the road and nods, once again heading in the direction of the city.

Helena can feel Strike's worry melting into annoyance, as the spider fails to catch up with them before they leave. Jasmine starts following Helena again, this time keeping an eye on the bushes for further ambushes.

Helena didn't have the energy to watch for anything, just putting one foot in front of the other and calming down, sending an apology to Strike. If nothing happened, she would break for lunch when the time came. One thing was for sure, she would outright refuse to waste any time in this place, it was too dangerous it seemed to be anywhere but in a town or city, which more then explained the utter lack of any travelers on the road so far.

Looking at her morning star, the instrument of heavy handed destruction that had gotten her this far, she compared it to the blade she had taken. In this place, they were going to need armor, weapons, real gear unless her training took her back to her old strength, or something else gave...

As the sun climbs to its peak, the pair stops and Jasmine quickly makes a small fire for cooking. As they start to cook, Helena spots a small column of smoke ahead.

Helena notes the smoke, pointing it out to Jasmine. "Against all odds in this insane hell hole, someone else seems to be traveling..."

it could be other people, it could also be more fucking trouble they didn't need. Regardless, after lunch, Helena was going to stick to the side of the road, near the treeline, ready to hide and scout if need be.

Helena doubts that very much if they were anything as like minded as those putrescent little shit-bags that had ambushed them a few hours ago but says nothing on the matter, eating her lunch and helping clean up and repack.

Taking off again, Helena stuck to her own plan of sticking near the edge of the road, just in case.

As Helena and Jasmine are finishing their lunch, Strike finally catches up with them. Regardless of whether Helena would slow down enough for Strike to keep up, they find the still hot ashes of a fire about a mile along the road. There are some tracks, but not enough for there to have been many people.

Helena hugs Strike as she comes into view, this time making sure to move slowly enough that she could keep up. If David's reaction had been any indication, the presence of the large spider could help them just on account of her being a gigantic spider...

About an hour after passing the campfire, Helena and Jasmine spot a trio of burly looking armored men walking casually along the road. Each of them is carrying a sword and a bow on their backs, and they're not looking behind them.
