The grinding of wooden wheels sounded off along the dirt path. A pair of red oni were pulling a cart of harvested rice to turn into sake, one oni was the brother, an the other, a sister. These two siblings, though closely related, were clearly different from each other. The sister walked casually, holding the bar in front of her, and pushing the wagon forward, while her brother seemed to be struggling to keep up with her, and hold his own weight. "Halle," the brother panted, "Can I take a break? I'm not as strong as you," he informed her. And it was quite the truth. Ever since they were children, Hallerna displayed superior strength than her brother. Where he could lift a rock his own size, Hallerna could lift him and the rock with one hand.
Crouching in front of the wagon, his hands still clinging to the wooden bar in front of him that was attached to it, Olaf wiped his brow on his arm. "Sorry, Halle..." he apologized, "You could probably even pull this cart without me."
