The story, in a nutshell, is that this girl, named Sakuri, found a book of black magic one day and took it home with her. Upon getting home from school that day, she snuck up to her room, pulled out the book and went through one of the rituals. She then grew so overwhelmingly tired that she lay down in bed still dressed in her shcool uniform, and passed out instantly.
Upon waking she found herself in a small grey room in hell, and this is where the game begins. You play as Sakuri trying to find your way out of hell, but while the game does have checkpoints, there are always multiple paths, and only one of them ever works.
Should you take the wrong one, you will be "rewarded" with one of the extremely brutal death scenes the game is known for.
The only reason the game is marked as "adult 18+" is because in the final level, Sakuri's clothes mysteriously dissapear. There are only 5 scenes in the entire game that are actually sexual in nature, and only 1 shows any genitals, but that is also, somewhat ironically, the most brutal of the 5.

Note: The original game has no sound whatsoever, meaning the music on each walkthrough was edited in. If you don't believe me, watch other playthroughs, you'll find they have different music for the same places.
One last interesting note about the game is the symbolism in the game, eac boss representing one of the seven deadly sins, with their devils matched up to them. The only difference here is that both of Satan's names are used for different creatures, each representing different sins.
