The further rhyming didn’t amuse Laena, nor did the way the arachne grinned even wider at her struggles, though she knew for certain what she wanted to do about it. With some maneuvering her talons ripped through the webbing with ease, and as she began to fall towards the ground below her eyes focused on her foe, full of anger as she gave her wings a powerful flap, stabilizing herself in an instant. Unfortunately, as she began to fly towards the arachne it turned around, shooting a stream of webbing out of its backside that hit her square in the chest, partially covering her wings and nearly dropping her again. "Turn around and fight me you bitch!" the harpy screamed, continuing to fly towards the creature as fast as she could with her hampered wings, intent on ripping that grin off its face…

The troll blinked and caught the two coins, clearly surprised that Garrett had been so willing to pay. He was in for a greater surprise when the human man simply vanished into thin air, appearing in the center of a small clearing and glancing up in search of his allies. He found them fairly quickly, Lily suspended in the air with her wings somehow gone entirely while Laena was hovering somewhat brokenly, her wings gummed up with some white substance as the harpy flitted over towards a gigantic spider which he could currently only see the bottom of, her talons raised and ready. There was a small ledge onto which he could teleport in order to get a closer look, but he could see the monstrous creature from where he stood in the clearing.

Laena's talons found purchase in the arachne's side, tearing into her flesh and causing her to let out a screech. "Nasty harpy likes to scratch, but in your belly my eggs will hatch!" she shrieked, and then her eyes suddenly glowed a fierce dark red. For a moment, Laena felt a sense of complete bliss wash over her, but the harpy recognized the mental assault for what it was and fought it off before she could plummet to the ground.
Lily, meanwhile, slowly and carefully slashed her arms free. With only a few strands now holding her, the sidhe was effectively free to do as she pleased without much hindrance, and the arachne remained seemingly unaware of her freedom. Indeed, after she saw that her attack on Laean failed, she hissed and then retreated, scuttling upwards into a dark crevice in the side of the cliff and very nearly disappearing.

As the battle unfolded above him, Garrett saw his lover score a nasty hit on the massive spider, which, perhaps to his surprise, began to speak! He only caught part of it, but as the creature began to move, retreating along some invisible strand supporting it, he saw that it had the upper body of a woman in the place of its head, a long mane of fiery hair falling from her head and black and red tattoos covering her green-blue body.

One by one the strands binding her snap as Lily uses her newly acquired talons to free herself. The fae sits up, careful not to fall. That carapace looks pretty tough. Oh well. For a moment Lily smiles to herself before her hands dexterously form the spell as she simultaneously speaks the word of power, sending a ghostly ball of strange light towards the arachne.

Laena grinned as she felt her talons tear into the arachne’s side, ripping out a chunk of flesh in a rather satisfying way, but not satisfying enough. After all, the creature could still screech and rhyme at her. And then there was a sudden gap in her memory, a strange feeling of bliss as the harpy gazed into her opponent’s glowing red eyes. Only the sensation of falling snapped her out of it, and she flapped her wings a few times to stabilize before she saw the oversized spider crawling away towards a crevice in the cliffside. She smiled and launched a powerful gust of wind at her enemy, seeing a chance to knock her off the webbing and send her hurtling to her death below.

"Well I'll be damned. Looks like they're doing just fine without me." A wide grin appeared on his face, watching as the two woman seemed to be easily overpowering this other creature. It looked like some sort of spiderwoman.
Looks like she got caught in her own web now eh? He still was somewhat concerned, if something did go wrong, he wanted to be there to help out. But at the same time, he didn't want to make the ladies believe h always saw them as 'damsels in distress'. The current case was obviously a contradiction to that term.
"But, just to be on the safe side..." He teleported himself to the small ledge he spotted. Casually hanging his legs off the side, he watched the battle, leaning his back against the wall. In all curiosity, he wanted to see how well the woman could handle themselves in a fight. In fact, they seemed to be doing better than he could. But it sitting around doing nothing was boring. If anything, he could at least play a support role. Taking steady breaths, calming his nerves to a peaceful state, he focused his energies upon the two woman in battle.

Lily and Laena would feel Garrett's magic wash over them, emanating out from below them, and if either of them sought out the source of the beneficial power they would see him standing in a clearing below them. They had hardly needed the added power to finish off their wounded attacker, and with it Lily and Laena had the arachne in the bag. She was largely concentrating on Laena at that point, and thus Lily's bolt of ghostly arcane energy struck her when she was completely unawares. The blast took her more or less squarely in the chest, and she started tumbling down her web as the whole thing began to collapse.
Her descent was paused, briefly, when Laena's burst of wind caught her in mid fail, pushing her through her webbing and fully entangling her. The real kicked came when the gust of wind slammed her violently against the cliffside, however, and the loud crunch signaled that something had broken on the spider woman's body. She tumbled down the side of the valley wall, wrapped up in her own web, and ended up hurtling off of a lip and dropping down into the same clearing in which Garrett stood. The broken, bloody, bundle of webbing was still twitching, but it seemed unlikely that the woman inside would survive for very long without some serious help, if she wasn't already dead. Whether any of them actually cared to give an arachne such aid was up to them, however, and they were free to walk away and continue on their journey.

As she completes her spell and blasts the arachne with her spell, Lily suddenly feels herself growing more focused as a strange glow enters her body. Strange...
The sidhe's thoughts are interrupted as the web begins to collapse, and her wings quickly start growing out of her back as she looks around, only now noticing Garrett. As her wings grow, Lily tries to glide towards him instead of falling down, but only manages to fall towards him and crash-lands right in front of him, even though her wings slow her down enough to avoid injuries.

Laena soon felt a warm glow within her, the feeling of magic assisting her and making her stronger. She was sure that it came from Garrett, but she didn’t have any time to check. No, she needed to use that power to finish off the arachne that had attacked her before anything else. Of course, Lily intervened first, a blast of arcane magic slamming into the creature’s chest, knocking it down into its web, which began to fall to the ground. Seeing her chance, the harpy put all she had into a burst of wind that blew forcefully against the falling arachne, bundling it up even more in its web, though more importantly it smashed the monster up against the cliffside with a satisfying crunch. Blood began to stain the ball of webbing red as it tumbled down the side of the cliff, eventually landing in a clearing, where she also spotted her mate.
It twitched weakly as Laena glided down to the ground, almost certainly dying, and she shouted out "you jumped the wrong people!" at the bundle of suffering spider, perfectly content to be on her way and leave it to its death. "Thank you for the help" she said after a quick turn to Garrett, holding out a hand to try and help Lily, who had crashed when the web fell out from under her, up. "Can you help me get this webbing out of feathers before we go? It’s a bit harder to fly with all of it gumming up my wings" the harpy requested, indicating the sticky strands that partially covered much of her body, but were only a problem where they kept her from moving her wings efficiently. After that, they would be free to be on their way once more.

Meditating his spell, he felt a strong wind blow his way. Breaking out of concentration, he saw just in time the spider like woman hurtling towards him. Making a hasty duck to the side, a loud and sickening crunch followed the weighted impact to the wall, and he could only look over the side as the body plummeted to the floor. Wincing upon the woman's impact to the floor, he gave a deep breath of relief.
He was soon pleasantly greeting by Leana, who seemed to have gotten some of the webbing in her wings. Without hesitating he began to help, trying to remove as much as he could. Ironically, this ended up with most of it sticking to his hands which he would have to constantly wipe them along the side of the wall to drag off the sticky substance.
"I just wanted to help out a little bit hon, seemed like you two had it all under control." He glanced back down the side of the cliff, biting his lower lip. "Um.. I know this might sound silly, but are we just going to leave her there like that? I mean.... granted I had no clue what she was trying to do to you, but I'm sure she doesn't deserve to be plastered on the floor like a squished bug."

Laena tilted her head a little bit to one side when Garrett suggested in a roundabout way that they help the fallen arachne, confused as to the motivation. "But it is a squished bug" she said flatly after a few moments, shrugging. "It tried to carry me off and rape me full of eggs. I see no reason to do anything to help it. Unless you want me to ensure that it isn't suffering anymore, which I can do."

Lily gratefully takes Laena's hand and pulls herself up with her claws even as her wings reach their full size and fold up. "Thanks"
As the other two talk, the sidhe focuses on turning her claws into fingers again, shivering as Laena mentions the egging they were spared from, her imagination suddenly providing an image of her getting filled with eggs while unsuccessfully struggling against webbing. Great. It's been weeks since I've gotten a good fuck. Shaking her head to get rid of the image, Lily quickly casts a simple spell to clean herself, followed by the same spell on Laena and Garrett's hands. "Let's just put her out of her misery and get out of here."

"It tried to carry me off and rape me-" Hearing those words, he no longer had such a look of concern, rather now it was sheer disgust as he pointed his hand down towards the body, lighting it up in a holy flame. "That's all you had to say. Only thing it deserves is a cremation." His eyes continued to watch the disfigured form of writhing flames without so much as blinking. In the back of his mind, he was relishing the spectacle as the woman thrashed about with her last breaths, before finally dying off. The flames flickered out as they finally consumed her corpse, leaving only ash on the forest floor. "Fun little fact, I've heard being burned to death is one of the most painful ways to die. Course, that's just something I read out of a book. And I could never ask afterwards..."Words trailing off as he finally closed his hand, glancing up to the woman with a smile. "All right, lets get the hell out of here." He spoke with an affirmative nod towards the two.

The arachne was already unconscious when Garrett set it aflame, but it twitched and spasmed a few times within its cocoon as the fire consumed it. Holy Flame, the fire of intent, was normally white when used to protect, but this time it appeared a dark red in color, its purpose corrupted and used to inflict pain. Lily cleaned them using magic, removing what few strands of webbing Garrett hadn't cleaned off of Laena and removing the day's accumulated grime as well, and then they were off, leaving the dead arachne to her pyre. There was little danger of the magical fire causing a blaze that might spread to the forest, as the flames would extinguish once the arachne's flesh had been burned away, but if they glanced back they would see the arachne's form through the flame one last time, her inhuman skull blackening under the crimson flames as her flesh was consumed.
They made it through the rest of the valley without any other incidents about three hours later, and shortly after they cleared the top Laena and Lily were able to see a stone structure nestled within the trees at the very edge of their vision. They had been travelling for hours, and the extended flight/hike was beginning to wear on all three of them, but their goal was in sight, and on they pressed. Garrett didn't see it, being stuck down in the dense jungle below, but then, he would have his own problems shortly thereafter. A song, quiet but haunting and mystifying and oddly peaceful all at once, began to play through the trees, and Garrett's feet moved of their own accord towards the source of it. He stumbled across a small pool nestled beneath the crook of a tree shortly thereafter, invisible from the air through the dense canopy, but it - and the woman bathing inside of it - were plainly visible to Garrett.
She was fairly tall for a woman, and lithe of build and possessing a wonderful hourglass figure. Her skin was a delightful olivine color that seemed to shine wherever the light that pierced through the trees managed to touch it, an effect only enhanced by the water in which she was bathing, and a long plait of lightly curling auburn hair ran down her back, reaching just past her shoulder blades. The water was only knee high on her, and the pool was nestled down a foot or so beneath the surface of the ground, allowing Garrett a view from above. His approach was not missed by the woman bathing, but rather than take offense at her exposed nudity, she turned her head and looked up at him over her shoulder, a coy smile twisting her ruby lips upwards as her wide, golden eyes gazed up at him.
Whoever she was, she finished the last few notes of the wordless song before going quiet, the tune's absence from his thoughts jarring and almost unpleasant, a part of him yearning for its return despite any objections that his rational mind might raise to something so easily able to manipulate him. "Hello~" she said, her voice no less melodic despite speaking in prose, "You look tired~ Perhaps you would like to take a rest with me, hrm?" She slowly turned toward him as she spoke, allowing him a full view of her flawlessly sculpted figure, round but well balanced, and then she beckoned to him invitingly. He wasn't compelled to join her, however, leaving him with a choice on how to handle this particular diversion.
Meanwhile, up in the air, Laena and Lily had their own distraction. A voice suddenly called up at them from the forest below, "Oi! You two! Down here!" Glancing towards the sound of the voice, which was deep and masculine, they would see a trio of goatmen, two gruffs and a satyr, waving up at them from the forest floor. They were all armed, but they appeared friendly and were waving them down towards them, their weapons sheathed or strung over their backs.

As she gets back to the air, Lily enjoys the freedom of the flight, and though she repeatedly has to remind herself to pay attention to the forest around her, the rest of the trip seems to be almost disappointingly peaceful. Though her wings start aching from the effort to keep herself airborne as they already sight their goal, she continues without complaint.
A short while after last checking on Garrett to make sure he hasn't gotten lost, Lily hears a low voice calling from below. Looking down, the sidhe sees other fae there, so curiously close to their goal. "Hello down there." Lily answers somewhat unimaginatively, starting to descend towards the goatmen and taking a seat on a supple branch that seems strong enough to support her.

He could almost feel himself smile as the body burned, but seconds later, he noticed the color of the fire had shifted. It had never been red before. It wasn't a normal red either, like blood and soot mixed together. A moment or two, Garrett blinked and looked at his hand in curiosity. As he turned around, telling the woman that they should leave, he silently questioned if such a thing was to be worried about.
Luckily, it seemed like everything was going to be fine as they continued to trek for quite some time without any interruption. Still, it wasn't anytime he could let down his guard, lest he be unwarily ambushed. Just then a song drifted through the air, he could hear it barely. Without thinking, he searched onward to find the source of the melody.
Upon entering the area, he almost gasped as he came upon a strikingly beautiful woman that was singing a perfect melody. He had come across a small pool of water. The woman suddenly turned toward him, aware of his presence and showing all the curves and details of her body. The water only seemed to enhance her beauty, flowing down the crevice between her breasts and dripping down her luscious inner thighs. She invited him, which startled him a little bit, because it seemed like a genuine invite rather than a forceful statement. He wasn't being compelled to follow, and the effects of a spell were absent.
Well, that's a relief. He gave an embarrassed smile and a wave. Respectfully turning his gaze aside, he addressed her. "Ah, my apologies. I just heard a beautiful song and I couldn't help but wonder who was singing such an enchanting melody. I did not realize that you were currently bathing. A rest for me is unnecessary though, as though it may seem like I'm the only one here, I'm not traveling alone, and I must make sure that I don't fall behind. But thank you for the offer."
He turned to leave, oddly perplexed a bit by what he saw. His mind regretted not being able to listen to her song though. Such a melody would be perfect to fall asleep to when one had been through a tiring day.

Laena paid no heed to the burning arachne, the extinguishing of its life of little importance to her. "Thank you" she said as Lily cleaned her off magically, getting the webbing out of her feathers quite effectively. She didn’t quite know what to think of what Garrett had said, of course. She had heard quite the opposite; that being burned hurt much less than other ways to die, as the flame quickly burned out the nerve endings on a person’s skin, leaving them numb for most of it. Of course, magical fire could always be different. In a way, it was cute that he was interested in causing pain to something that had tried to hurt her, though it was also perhaps a little bit worrisome. Either way, soon she and Lily took to the skies again with an admonition to the human to be careful as he traversed the valley.
The flight across the valley was fairly peaceful, and the winds weren’t fighting against them, so Laena was able to glide effortlessly most of the time, dipping down to check on Garrett every so often. It was a very wide valley, so at this fairly leisurely pace it took three hours of flying even without any incidents. It was passed mostly in silence between the two winged women, neither of whom had much to say. The harpy took the time to relax a bit, letting her mind wander and her muscles relax as she glided just above the treetops. Once they crested the other side of the valley she could see the stone structure that they were headed to, large enough to peek up above the tops of the trees at the very edge of her vision.
The two kept flying onward for a little bit of time before a voice came from just beneath them, a deep, masculine cry that called for their attention. Looking down to find the source, Laena saw a couple of gruffs and a satyr, a rare sight for her, but not unexpected in these parts. She had met with a few of these male fae in Glassmoor before, and they were generally kind and helpful folk, though they had a tendency to be quite lecherous, and often didn’t understand the concept of personal space. She followed Lily downward, perching on a limb close to the one the angelic woman had chosen, looking down and calling out "hello. What’s on your mind?"

"Awwww!" the woman whined with a pout when Garret declared that he had to leave, but as Garrett turned to leave he heard her sloshing through the water. He didn't get far from the pool before the nude woman sidled up beside him, locking one of her arms around one of his as she flashed him a brilliant smile. She seemed intent on walking beside him, apparently, and matched his pace easily, even leading him around a few obstacles along paths that he hadn't seen himself. "So, what's your name? And who're you traveling with that's so invisible? And where are you headed? These aren't exactly the safest woods for humans.... No offense meant of course! I'm sure that a big... Strong... Man like you can handle yourself~"

The three goatmen waited for Laena and Lily to get closer, and once the two women had perched onto a tree, the satyr spoke up, revealing himself as the one that had spoken; "Greetings strangers! What brings you to these lands? We called you down because we noted your direction, and just thought to warn you that those ruins-" he waved his hand toward the ruins which were their destination, "Are currently the home to a group of demons. We aren't sure why they're there, but they've proven less than amicable neighbors and seem intent on staying a while. Thought we'd warn ye in addition to saying hello! We were actually going to have a picnic here if you two wanted to join us."
The satyr grinned up at Lily and Laena, but just then, Garrett came through the treeline, walking arm in arm with an exceptionally beautiful woman that looked human save for her eyes, and the fact that she was strolling through the Amazonian jungle clad in nothing but her skin. Garrett himself, meanwhile, didn't stop his lover or his friend perched up on the tree, though he did see the three goatmen who were standing in the center of the clearing into which he and his impromptu traveling companion had just stepped. They waved to the three, and one of the two that had fully goat-like heads called out; "Greetings! Who is your friend? We had just met some other new friends, and invited them to our picnic! Perhaps he would care to join us?"

Caught off guard by the woman's forwardness, he wasn't exactly sure how to react. He figured playing along couldn't hurt, and so far she hadn't tried anything. Garrett scratched the back of his head with a heavy blushing smile.
"W-well you see, they fly, and I'm the only person in the group that walks. So they aren't at all invisible. Just up somewhere above me!" He frantically looked for an excuse to separate himself from the bare woman, close contact already starting to cause him 'trouble'. She helped him through the place though, and he had to admit, some of the things he didn't see she had led him around.
"I don't know about that, if I was so tough and strong, then I wouldn't need a beautiful woman to point out the things I should have."
Coming upon the group of satyrs, he wasn't sure to be pleasantly surprised at the sudden company he was attracting. They mentioned they had invited some friends, so maybe they had seen the other two?
"Um.. sorry, actually I'm REALLY busy. In fact, have you seen two young woman with wings? One is... well I'm not sure, I think she's an angel of some sorts. And the other is a harpy... who's my WIFE."
He had paused to add emphasis his last statement to the unknown woman who seemed awfully clingy to him.
Maybe I should talk to Leana about getting ring or something, so it would be a bit easier to avoid flirtatious woman knowing that I'm taken....

Laena listened carefully to the satyr as he greeted the two of them and warned them about the demons who inhabited the ruins. All the while she was wondering just how to respond, how much she should tell them… "Ah, thank you for the warning" she replied quietly, rustling her wings behind her a bit as she continued to think it over, "we were actually going to do some exploring of those ruins. We’ll have to keep the occupants in mind." The harpy wondered if that was why the men were armed, and if they would be willing to help fight the demons, and guard Garrett along the way as well. She was just about to respond to the invitation to join the fae picnic when she noticed her mate walking into the clearing as well, though with an incredibly beautiful woman on his arm… her eye twitched. No, the entire left side of her face twitched. "I actually wouldn’t mind a break for food. Especially not since you seem to have found my mate" she said quite loudly and forcefully, her emphasis of the possessive quite apparent.

Sighing inwardly, Lily drops down from the branch. "We'll gladly accept your invitation. It's been a while since we've eaten, anyway. I'm called Lily, by the way."
Fluttering her wings, the sidhe turns to look at Garrett and the nymph. "You seem to be good at making friends, Garrett."
