Alice nods as she looks up to the sky, "Well, if you are willing to wait for me, then I'll try to make this as quick as possible." Giving her guide a smile, she turns and quickly walks into Asp's shop, hoping that Asp was still actually around.

Grevan nodded her along, and Alice proceeded into the shop to find a very sleepy looking Asp leaning over her counter, her massive breasts and her elbows resting on the counter as she gazed about blearily. Looking blearily over at Alice as she entered her shop once more, the naga stirred only enough to keep Alice within her field of view and say, "Hi Alice, did that delivery go okay?" She yawned when she finished, and a girl that didn't look any older than seventeen came out of one of the side doors dressed in a fairly skimpy outfit bearing a tag over one of her breasts that read; "Sales Associate." She glanced at Alice as she took a position behind the counter, carefully stepping over Asp's tail as she assumed her position and giving Alice a nod. She didn't say anything though, so presumably her own business was solely with the owner of the shop.

Alice nodded as she looked at the naga, then at the 'sales associate', "Yeah, everything went good, someone named Kilvin tried to pretend to be Draefus, but one of the people working there stopped him, and helped me find Priscilla, who I delivered it to, got a free sample from there..." She blushed a deep red, "Then after, made my way back here with my guide, and probably going to look for somewhere to stay for the night, don't really feel safe enough to leave town at this hour to try to find my way home..."

"That jerk again? I sometimes wonder why Draefus keeps that oaf around. Ahh well, you got the medicine to him and that's the important part. Thanks for your help!" Asp replied, and then smirked knowingly at the idea of Alice's "free sample." She didn't seem to want to comment on it, however, as she instead pulled out a pouch of coins and said, "Here ya go, as promised. Twenty more coins for your purse! And the address of the legendary dollcrafter, Giacomo, of course. He lives on 1287 Desdemona Avenue, in the North Eastern corner of town. Tell him that I sent you and he might be a little bit easier to deal with."

Alice quickly looked over the coin bag and hefted it in her hands, the weight felt right, and she smiled, it wasn't like Asp was going to cheat her out of her payment anyway, still, she took a quick look inside to make sure she was being paid in coins, before closing it up, "I suppose I should thank you for helping me with this... so.. um... thank you." She gave a short bow before continuing, "Would Giacomo still be up and accepting visitors at this hour? Or should I wait for tomorrow?"

"You're welcome hun!" Asp replied brightly despite her apparent exhaustion, but then yawned widely and went on in a tired voice, "I don't know... You could try if you wanted to though! He's not a very nice man, but he might admire your diligence. Or I guess he could be annoyed by your haste... I dunno really. Anyway, if you ever need to sell off any cool baubles you find or need some advice, my doors are always open! Though, you'd probably be better off trying to find me during daytime hours. Unless you need somethin else, I think I'm gonna go and hit the hay."

Alice thinks about it for awhile, she could go now, as Asp said, he may appreciate her drive, but at the same time, if he simply shut the door in her face... shaking her head, she looks at Asp, "I suppose I can wait until tomorrow to see him, I'll ask my guide where I should stay for the night, doubt I can make it home from here, thanks for the help!" Cheerfully, she turns to leave, planning on asking her guide where would be an ideal place to stay for the night.

"No problem Alice! See ya soon I hope!" Asp replied cheerfully as Alice moved to depart. Finding Grevan waiting for her outside, the stalker nodded in greeting and said, "Come on then, I think I'm going to go home and get some sleep after this." Alice was led back through Acheron, nightfall having not diminished the crowding along the main street in the slightest, but eventually they branched off onto a side street that had fewer people on it. It was about then, when the crowd around them had thinned so much, that Alice realized that they were being followed. Grevan seemed to notice it too, as she quickly whispered, "Act naturally, don't let them know we've seen them."

Four people moved in a group to follow the two of them as her guide led Alice down another side street, speeding up once they were out of sight of their pursuers. Before they reached the other end, however, two more people stepped into their path. The two ahead of her were short and wiry, their green skin and mildly pointy hair marking them as goblins, while the four behind them seemed to be human, or at least they looked as such. "Crap...." Grevan muttered under her breath, and the goblins ahead of them quickly called, "You're familiar enough with the drill Grevan, and your friend there can take hints from you! Drop all yer valuables and and get on your knees! If you cooperate, maybe we'll be gentle!"

The two ahead of them were twenty feet ahead, while those behind were about an equal distance away. The goblins had rifles pointed in their direction while the others were drawing swords and clubs, and preparing to rush them if they didn't comply. Grevan glanced between two groups and slowly dropped to her knees, an angry scowl on the demon's face.

Alice follows closely behind Graven as she nods but her eyes narrow slightly as she sees the people follow behind herself and her guide, she wasn't exactly eager to start a fight in this new place, after all, who knew how powerful the inhabitants of this place could be, as they were stopped and surrounded however, she looked at Graven, scowling a little internally as she saw her guide was giving up, she looked at the goblins in front of herself and began to stammer slightly, "P..Please, I don't have any valuables... I.. I'm just a poor puppetmaker!"

She began to carefully take into consider the situation, the goblins had guns, but the ones from behind could be problematic if they all rushed at once... on the other hand, guns would mean that the positioning on the goblins in front would be meaningless, she carefully reached into her bag, watching for reactions, if they were dumb... well... they were going to learn exactly what a puppetmaker could do, on the other hand, if they were smart, well, she was just going to blast the shit out of them.

(Attempt to use Animate Contraption to animate her puppets, if she sees them being hostile, using energy wave)

She creates a monstrosity with 120 Body and 30 Mind, and with the ability to Fly at its speed. Its Resistance caps at 40, and its Dodge caps at 50.

The goblins, possibly predictably, open fire!
Attack: Both hit, though one of them just barely.
Damage: 3 + 1 + 3 + 5 = 12 damage, times 2 is 24 damage total. Her robes are at 1/25 TP.

The others rush in, but Grevan sneak attacks one of them via sudden strike:
Stealth: Grevan wins.
Attack: Automatic Hit.
Damage: 11 + 5 + 19 = 35 * 2 = 70 - 5 = 65 damage. One soldier down.
The others back off for now.

The goblin that had spoken snorted at Alice's words and replied, "I don't care what you are, we'll be taking all you have, now on your knees before I decide to shove my cock down your throat human!" Apparently, he couldn't tell that Alice was an elf either. When she opened her bag and drew out her dolls, however, the other goblin suddenly cried, "She's a wielder! Bring her down!" They raised their guns and fired at Alice, but both rounds did little more than clip by her, but they nonetheless drew blood from the elven puppetmaster. Alice's dolls came to life at her call, literally flying forth from her bag in a group, but where she would send them to do the most good was up to her to decide.

Those behind them charged in with clubs raised, but before any of them could reach Alice Grevan appeared before him and tore out his throat with her claws. The stalker hissed dangerously at the rest, who seemed quite intent on giving the grey skinned woman a wide berth, the reminder of their comrade's fate still evident given that he was yet gurgling out his last few breaths at her feet. "I hope you have a better plan than just flinging dolls at them," Grevan said under her breath as she pressed her back against Alice's. The two goblins were busy reloading their weapons, and the three still behind them were perhaps the more pressing threat. Grevan probably couldn't hold all of them off on her own for very long, but Alice was now free to multitask. Her swarm of animated dolls swirled around her, and she could use further powers while still controlling them if she wanted to kill two birds with one stone.

Alice winced slightly as she concentrated on bringing her dolls to life, taking the two glancing shots as she looks at Graven, at least she could fight, she had hoped to be able to fool the goblins for just a bit longer, but at this point, she knew it was probably time to stop messing around. This fighting was very different from hiding in her house while attacking the intruders, and without her mines, it made funneling them all to one point that much harder... however, she had picked up a few 'abilities' from reading the various books she had brought along with her, and hopefully they would be enough. She began manipulating her dolls with her fingers as she was used to, looking at the goblins, she directed the swarm to carve up the goblin in melee, while she turned around gathering a small amount of her spirit, and blasting the other goblin (Energy Blast, 15).

Alice attacks with a 15 EP energy blast.
Attack: Hit.
Damage: 3 + 4 + 3 + 1 = 11 * 15 = purest murder.

Damage: 4 + 4 + 75 - 9 = 74 damage.

Both goblins are killed.

The remaining enemies turn and flee! They reach the end of the alley but Alice can still take a shot at them if she wants. Or send her dolls. Or have her dolls take a shot.

Alice's swarm of grinning dolls upon one of the goblins as they frantically attempted to reload his rifle. Screams and fountains of blood sounded from within the swarm of floating, mobile dolls, the butchery of the goblin barely visible but no less horrible for it. The other goblin was torn in half by a burst of energy from Alice's hand, the blast continuing on and tearing into the building behind him as well. Those two sights combined caused the remaining bandits to turn and bolt for the mouth of the alley, though Alice could still pursue them if she so desired, either with more magic or with her dolls. Grevan was gazing at Alice with a mixture of amazement and fear as she watched their attacks flee.

Alice recalls some of her dolls to herself as she takes out a rag and starts to wipe down one of the more bloodied ones, even as she gave the order for her dolls to fire one last shot at the fleeing group, not even really expecting to hit anything, but trying to make sure that they don't mess with her... she assumed the two goblins in front were the leaders, and with them gone, she wasn't too worried, wiping off more the blood, she looked at Graven, then at the two fresh corpses, walking over to them to poke them with her foot, trying to sift through them before speaking, "That was... far more excitement then I thought I would encounter in the city. Anyway... do you know these goblins? And should I be worried about them?"

Alice's dolls followed the fleeing group and sent one of their number flinging out to strike a demon in the back. The man stumbled and yelped as the doll tore at his back, but he grabbed it and flung it away before following his comrades and disappearing out of the alleyway. Grevan hesitated for a moment at Alice's question, shocked to dumbness for a moment before she hastily replied, "Er... I didn't know them, not their names at least. Else I'd have reported them to the city guard. They knew me because they've robbed me before. No need to be worried about them now... They're dead! You might have to worry about reprisals from their gang, but after what you just did... Well, I can't imagine you having much trouble with them."

She paused and glanced at the corpses, and then moved over and policed them quickly, tearing out the fangs from their gums and pulling a money pouch off of one of them before handing them over to Alice. "I suppose you've earned these, this one's mine though!" she said, and then collected some of the dead man's blood in a vial before taking another pouch off of him. "You ready to get going then?"

If Alice proclaimed as much and had no further questions or concerns, Grevan led her the rest of the way to a tavern that she said was near her home, the Bucking Doe. "It's a homey place, but be sure to lock your door and put a chair against it. Secure the window too. This isn't the nicest neighborhood," Grevan explained quickly, and then bid Alice goodnight with a promise to come and find her in the morning, making no request for payment. That left Alice to enter the tavern, from which loud exuberant music was playing and the sounds of merriment audible above it.

Alice tried her best to grab as much spare cloth as she could from the two corpse before standing up and following Graven, it was mostly so that she could make repairs to her dolls if any were damaged, as well as perhaps make a few more if time allowed, she began to feel the pain from the gunshot wounds to a greater extent as she followed behind her guide, glancing everywhere as she followed and finally being glad that they made it to the tavern. She nodded in thanks to Graven's advice about keeping the doors and windows barred and started to reach into her pouch for money to pay her, but stopped as she left. Shrugging, she walked towards the tavern, opening the door and deciding to make her way to the bar, where she would hopefully find the owner.

Alice's dolls followed her into the tavern, floating about her in a fairly formidable manner. As such, when she walked into the common room, the numerous occupants all took one look at her before looking away. The innkeeper was a fairly pleasant looking male demon, his tiny golden horns and tanned skin were apparently designed as such. "What can I do for you, dollface?" he said pleasantly, apparently meaning no offense by his words. A couple of the people around him guffawed quietly. "You lookin for food, someplace to sleep, a drink, or some pleasurable company?"

Initially Alice was going to say something about the dollface comment, but decded against it, she was weary by this point and all the fighting, and the bloodloss, and the earlier sex, had taken it's toll on the girl who had been used to the more simple life of making small meals, setting traps, and making dolls all day, she gave a smile as she sat down at the bar, opening her bag slightly to check on her dolls, in all honestly, she didn't even really need to physically look at them, at this point, she could almost just... feel, how they were, "Some food a maybe a drink would be good, oh, and I need a place to stay for the night."

Alice looks through the choices, thinking for awhile, before answering, "Something cheap will be fine, both a drink and a meal, oh, and yeah, a room, I'll take a room as well!" She rummages through her pack and pulls out a few coins, "For the meal... uh... I'll have whatever is on special tonight." She quickly checked the menu to make sure it wasn't anything weird.
