I forgot about the angels. I mostly just skipped them. I agree that the later angels were the worst mishmash of ideas you could possibly throw together. Why couldn't they all be like Cupid/Valkyrie?

The worst disappointment for me was Eden. She's been this sexy looking woman all game and when you finally go to fight her she turns into this like, tentacle boob garden thing. How is that interesting in the slightest?

Also, all the angels seemed to be used for Vore/Unbirthing fetishes, which is not really what I would expect from "angels"

Eden wasn't as bad since she did sort of had a humanish h-scene. I actually did enjoy the harem rape from one of her skills.

Actually, the New Game + mod by ThatRussian (not spazmaran) intends to implement just that - loss scenes that don't mean a game over - and much more.

Playing the NewGame+ mod, I'm having a ton of difficulty just fighting Granberia. You're supposed to use Serene state to dodge, but I keep getting hit by the earth and fire move regardless. I'm having absolutely 0 luck getting through, and am at a complete loss.

Edit: 25 tries later and I'm no closer to finishing this battle. Is there some trick? Or is this new system just retarded. I read through the patch notes, and it says it's supposed to reduce the RNG and make it more skill based - seems like a cruel joke.

Somebody have a save past Granberia?

Because most of the later angels are based on Old Testament angels, or early biblical ones.

Which is to say, they all looked horrors from the beyond. It's only in recent years did the idea that angels look like pretty humans become a thing. For a long time, angels were always imagined as incredibly in-human things.

It's actually more that the particular artist that handled the angels in question is the guy who drew most of the giant titbeast monsters in the game and he really only has the one niche going for him. The other artists tend to draw very humanoid characters.

Neither did I, but Granberia is definitely the easiest (real) fight in the mod. Serene Mind doesn't give you 100% evasion so just save all your SP for healing until the last 25%(?) and then all out offense.

Okay so I've replayed all 3 parts and think that I can rate the strongest of the heavenly knights and monster lord fairly.

(#1 Tamamo) She's revealed to be one of the original monsters and is in a sealed form much like Alice in part 3, all while being able to match the other 3 heavenly knights power while sealed. After releasing her seal she had little to no trouble defeating her counter.

(#2 Alice) She's obviously here right under Tamamo. I don't think I need to go into reasoning for this.

(#3 Alma Elma) Personally I had a hard time between her and Erubetie. The main reason why Alma won was because Granberia has always lost to her since Alma knows her weakness. Alma also has her martial arts skills that easily defeated her counter.

(#4 Erubetie) Erubetie is quite mysterious, so it's hard to judge her strength accurately. You don't really get to see a lot of her non sexual skills in fights. The only reason I consider her stronger than Granberia is because of her self-destruct skill. Even though I don't think it could beat Granberia in a fight, it would injure her much more than Erubetie herself and in turn give Erubetie an advantage in the rest of the fight. Unlike Tamamo and Alma, she barely beat her counter and actually probably became weaker since parts of her colonies died.

(#5 Granberia) I know Granberia is extremely powerful and she has the potential to be the strongest of the heavenly knights, but at the end of part 3 at least she felt weaker than intended. Her most powerful technique at the end is just a weaker version of Luka's Quadruple Gigas. It takes a long time to set up and can easily be interrupted. She's also weak to sexual attacks, giving Erubetie and Alma Elma an enormous advantage over her. Like Erubetie she barely defeated her counter.

Even if, monsterwise, Part 3 had a lot of NOPE!, on the whole I still give it a pass because of story, and the ending made everything worthwhile, particularly..

I've been trying to do that, but every so often I'll get slammed with the earth/fire move, and that brings me down to about 1k hp. From there, I start running out of SP healing every turn. And I've never dodged a serene slash attack from Granberia. It seems completely RNG to me.

If you're 100% always failing to dodge, it means you're already at the 'all out offense' part. Just save up 8 SP before then, trigger it and then Daystar her for a (near) OHKO.

The only record I can't really figure out... is the Disparaged by Micaela one, and the "Only Remembered Amira".

Any ideas? Given the meaning of the word disparaged, its probably not anything special but still...

during the final battle when Micaela comes to assist you surrender before she retreats, which she does after two or three turns iirc.

for Amira you need to do a minimalist playthrough skipping everything you can.

the easy way for Amira's would be just starting a new game in ex mode the longest battle you'll get into that way will be imp's(because you start the battle with 0 sp and shes scripted to evade you attacks the first three times unless you hit her with a skill) battle.
