Re: Escape from Dracholt (Sinfulwolf)

As she guided him towards her and pulled him in with her legs, bringing him into her, he let out a gasping sigh before puncturing her neck with his fangs, the blended feeling of euphoria and pain cause by a vampyre's bite almost instantly clouding her mind.

He drank slowly from her, savouring the taste as equally slowly began to slide in and out of her, a few long groans and moans escaping from his lips.

Re: An Ancient Compact (Farren, Gargantuablarg, Copper)

Keti paused when he began to see the villagers forming up at the entrance to the village, surprised at how hostile their response was. Certainly he'd expected the village to tense up when they arrived... but not scramble to arms.

He looked over at Nae, wondering if she still thought this was a good idea. But they couldn't turn back now; if the villagers thought they'd managed to scare him off, it would surely cause more trouble for him - he feared greatly that they would seek to torch his home, and his beloved flowers along with it.

Turning back to the villagers, he continued on, walking as calmly as he could manage.

Re: Escape from Dracholt (Sinfulwolf)

Extending her neck as the fangs sank into her flesh, Meaghan moaned hungrily, trickles of blood trailing over her skin. Her nails ran harshly down the stranger's back, drawing dark red lines in their wake.

Her hips pushed out against his thrusts, her back still arched, keeping her body pressed tight against his own. Heat flowed through her veins, her heart pounding with a passionate intensity within her breast.

Re: Baptism by Fire (Occam, Squid, Kathy)

With Flow's swift appraisal of the situation, disaster was averted as the group carrying a large drop of water was redirected, dropping the load upon the small group headed by her, the water flowing down over the fire from there and surely enough pushing it back a lot more than her wand was managing. Based on how it was acting, at this point she was all but certain it was some kind of oil fire based on how it was behaving. Coordinating the fire fighting efforts of the harpies, she saw it fought back, bit by bit, with harpies abandoning water in order to drop loose earth upon it in attempts to smother the fire; something that would soak up the fuel rather than cause it to spread.

Drago returned before long and pitched in with the fire fighting efforts, in around an hour due to the combined teamwork of the entire clan the fire was under control and on its way towards being put out once and for all. Of course, that did nothing to comfort them for the lives lost, only four from a nesting area of slightly over twenty had escaped the blaze and they had not done so lightly, covered in painful burns and all bar one had lost flight until some of their feathers regrew.

------------

Kriia continued her pursuit of the other group of harpies, confident that her years of experience would keep her safe. Before long, the group turned, heading towards another canyon that Kriia could see was filled with twists and turns, plenty of blind corners they could ambush a pursuer from.

Re: Baptism by Fire (Occam, Squid, Kathy)

Kriia grumbles as the group heads towards the canyon. She didn't want to fall into an ambush, but she wasn't going to give up on her quarry that easily. She'd stay high then, and keep above the obscuring canyon walls. It would mean having to get closer to the group, but the height advantage would provide her with the speed she'd need should they choose to suddenly turn upon her en-mass. There would still be plenty of hiding spots along the canyon for them to disappear into even with an raised view point, but they wouldn't be leaving it without her knowing.

The way they'd continued to ignore her spare seeming attempts at evasion certainly didn't lessen Kriia's suspicion of the mystery troupe of harpies. She was of course aware of the risk, but stalking such an abnormal prey had a certain thrill to it. Resolving to go on she beats her wings harder and begins to work on ascending a little as well as closing the horizontal distance between them. Golden eyes glaring forward with cold determination to match the familiar chill of the air in her lungs.

Re: The Ill-Portented Expedition (crossgrave, blueslime, chibi)

Switching to her wand, Satuma blasts the beast in the face, a double shot of fire, as Soren does the same, both beasts collapsing to the ground smouldering slightly as Azalia looks around for a target, having drawn her whip for close-quarters fighting.

On the other side of the pack beast, the sounds of fighting continue, Goron landing a blow this time as the rock-wolves fight back, clawing and biting at both the youth and Nath. Still, the weakened wolves are no match for the combined assault of Jontus' powerful magic and Nath's expertise and fall before the others can rush over to assist.

With the vanguard so decisively cut down, the remainder of the pack, still baying in the hillsides, begin to withdraw. "They've lost too many, we're not worth the trouble anymore," Nath says between gritted teeth. "I hope this was worth your delays, professor," he says darkly, clutching a particularly wound with one hand. Goron likewise was not looking so good, having received a pair of vicious bites himself and some painful claw marks, in truth, he was looking rather pale...

Re: An Ancient Compact (Farren, Gargantuablarg, Copper)

Nae hadn't been expecting quite this hostile a reaction from the villagers, finding herself pausing right along with Keti. Some dirty looks, perhaps a whispered word or two, but not an armed mob. Her reasoning that they wouldn't do something stupid like kill them in the middle of town was starting to seem a little shaky at best. If it were not for her resolve to help Keti she would have fled right then and there.

"Just stay close." She told her friend, though possibly more for her own nerves than for his. She kept close to him, eyeing the crowd as they continued to approach, trying to spot anyone that might be trouble.

Re: The Desecrated Tranquil (Ranger Princess, Aztlan, Keylo, MBS)

"Please... leave me..." came the soft voice of the dark haired nymph. "I... I need to be alone, such a display..." She suddenly burst into a run, dashing off through the forest, hands clutching at her head as she did so. Attempts to pursue her were cut off by a small armed band of faeries, around 8 or so which Alariël would recognise from her local circle, all brandishing weapons.

"Another one?" the one at the front of the group asked, although from the look on his face, he already knew the answer. A small, blonde haired sprite, carrying a light blue bow that matched his tunic, the fairy amongst them recognised him as the leader of the circle's warriors, which were indeed the group assembled here. "Something must have driven the ursa mad, we're going to wipe them out before another attack happens. The circle has decided it is the only way to protect the forest."

The ursa he referred to are a local inhabitant of the forest, a large, bear-like species quite capable of vicious attacks when threatened, but were generally quiet neighbours that didn't much bother anyone as long as they were left alone. The string of attacks in different locations was certainly unlikely to be the word of a single ursa, but the dryad knew that one of the attacks had occurred quite a ways from where any ursa made their home.

---------

Inspecting the pieces, they appeared to have been torn apart for the most part. By all appearances, it was not a manufactured weapon that caused this, but some kind of clawed beast, one with a lot of power in its limbs. Still, no beast she had seen with that amount of power had the sentience to arrange the bodies after the kill in such a fashion, nor did it explain what had blackened the tree into its present state...

Re: Escape from Dracholt (Sinfulwolf)

The rocking and thrusting of hips increased in speed as the young man became more and more a slave to his hunger and passions. His soft initial approach was almost entirely replaced by almost bestial grunting as he drove himself into the girl.

He pulled away from her neck, lapping at the wound to ensure it would quickly seal and pressed his lips against hers once more, his mouth still rich with the taste of her blood.

Re: The Ill-Portented Expedition (crossgrave, blueslime, chibi)

Satuma put her wand away and slithered over to pick up her hand cannon, examining it to see if it had taken any scrapes from being dropped. She then reloaded it with precision, ignoring the tear in her arm as best she could, even though it hurt. Once everything was back in order, she slung the cannon over her back and moved over to Azalia.

"Can you help me put on a bandage? I'll want to stop this bleeding." She indicated to the bite on her arm which had torn the skin in several spots along her bicep. It looked worse than it was, and there was a small comfort in that, but without healing magic, it'd probably leave a scar.

Re: Escape from Dracholt (Sinfulwolf)

Moans mixed into passionate growls as Meaghan pushed her tongue into the kiss, tasting her own blood on the stranger's tongue. With a grunt she turned, forcing him onto his back and straddling him, keeping her body pressed tightly against his form, fingers exploring the hard edges of his form and digging into his skin with her nails.

As her hips rocked, letting him slide in and out of her wet cunt she broke the kiss, licking her lips before lunging her head forward and biting into his neck in turn.

Re: Baptism by Fire (Occam, Squid, Kathy)

The high speed at which the fire "spread" from the water had Flow grinning like a mad woman. The hard splash of water over the group ensured no flames flowed down the cliffside onto them, while all the flames lower than them would be swiftly washed away to the bottom of the canyon. She was right...

One group of survivors though... she hoped the others knew enough to fly to safety. She had little else she could do to aid the group that was battling the fires now, others from throughout the camp would be rushing here, and strength in number would far outclass her limited ability to aid with a few spells.

Turning to the group she'd just given aid to, she chirped softly to them, "Who did this... tell me now, and I will track them down... once I know where they stay at, I will bring your entire military force to their doors, and we will happily return the favor."

She had given up her headstart on tracking the group and keeping up with them... but she'd also seen others had given chase. The harpies that were here could battle the flames. But the few that were following that larger group would not last if a fight broke out unexpectedly, or an ambush.

As soon as she had her answer, even if it was that the group here didn't know, Flow took to the air quickly and yelled out to the others, "If you find survivors, douse them in water directly! It will cause all the oil to splash away and drop into the canyon and give them a way out! The flames in the canyon will keep burning for some time, but it's the fastest way to rescue everyone... Fight the fire itself with dirt..."

Picking up the chase again, Flow felt a certain degree of ease... if this was an oil fire, it was far less dangerous than it could've been... Though at the same time, the group that did it was clearly large, to throw this much of the burning substance over the entire section of the city.

The one thing that reassured her was that the group was so eager to flee. It meant that for whatever reason, they did not want to turn this into an actual fight, likely meaning their military forces were weaker than the city she was quickly leaving behind her...

"I'm glad I travel light..." she whispered to herself as she took off at a brisk, but reasonable pace, not wanting to overwhelm herself in the early steps of the chase. She knew that she had the advantage in this regard... the group that attacked would undoubtedly be tired from the long trek bringing the oil and weapons to the city, and now need to take the entire journey back. There was no way they could move as quickly as she could.

Re: Baptism by Fire (Occam, Squid, Kathy)

Drago looked over the survivors after the fires had been dealt with for the most part. When he saw the condition their wings were in, his rage began to flow again, and when Flow took to the skies, he did as well, this time brandishing his handcannon, fully intent on starting a fight. Killing was simple. They'd just passed on to the afterlife. But living without flight was torture, and he'd not stand for it. "Flow! You'd better save some of them for me!" he calls ahead, a scowl on his face as he knows full well that he was the slowest of the three harpies due to the load he carried.

Re: Escape from Dracholt (Sinfulwolf)

The man lets out a gasp and arches his back as she bites into his neck, his hips still rolling back and forth as he bounces her atop of him, his hands sliding down her sides to curl around her hips and pull her onto him as he thrust upwards urgently.

His blood was sweet in taste, more-so than usual for a vampyre as she drank from him, although in the height of their passions its doubtful she had much time to consider this. The deepening grunting and almost frenzied thrusting did indicate to her that he was near climax, however.

Re: The Village of the Wayward Lambs (Pale, Oamp)

As afternoon turned to evening, the preparations for the festival were completed. Coloured lanterns, mostly blues and whites, hung on strings across the main street whilst children ran about, dancing and playing with matching coloured ribbons in their hands. It seemed the first part of the festival involved games for the children and they merrily laughed as they played and chased one another about through the streets. Meanwhile, a good amount of the the adults of the village, those not supervising the children's games, were hard at work putting the final touches on the feast. A large assortment of meals, easily enough to sate the hunger of all who lived here, prepared entirely without cooking; all the food was eaten fresh and cold and was (supposedly) safe to do so.

Meals ranged from cold meats and cheeses, fruits and vegetables, to perhaps most bizarre to the visitors some sliced fish which, while prepared, had not been cooked. The centrepiece was a large ice sculpture of a delicate faerie, which was particular impressive considering it was out of season for ice sculptures; clearly someone with magical talent had provided the ice block for another to do the carving, or perhaps they were one and the same. Still, it was certainly all an impressive sight for such a remote village and no wonder that they were so proud of their festival.

As the games wound down, the village gathered about to give their thanks to the goddess Auricael. As the village leader completed proudly declaring his thanks to the ice statue, a response came in the form of silvery laughter that seemed to come from every direction at once. A few sparkles of blue light flew through the air and with a bright flash, a female figure stood before the statue. She was tall, standing at somewhere slightly over six feet, with long, flowing blonde hair trailing down her back. Her skin was pale and her eyes a slightly glowing blue colour. Upon her body she wore a long, flowing dress of blue and white which seemed to float slightly as if stirred by a slight breeze and her feet remained bare, delicately pointed down and floating a few inches from the ground. "So kind of you all to come and give thanks to me," the figure declared with a slightly mischievous grin.

However, a murmur had gone up through the crowd, whispers and mutterings of how this figure before them was not how Auricael had ever appeared to them before. It wasn't long before the village leader spoke up again, "Forgive me, Great Auricael, but you appear... different... to us, than you have previously..."

This statement was met with more silvery laughter, which seemed to echo unnaturally as it bounced off the houses and scenery, her body shimmering with a faint aura. "I thought it was time for a change," she explains offhandedly, and strikes a few poses, running her hand through her hair and smoothing out her dress. "Don't tell me you don't approve?"

All in all, the villagers didn't seem to know what to make of this...

Pulling her fangs back from within his flesh, Meaghan slowly ran her tongue over the marks she left in her wake, nails running down his chest. She clamped down her her muscles on his cock, feeling him thrusting inside of her, her breathing becoming heavier, causing her breasts to rise and fall deeply.

With a series of short gasps, the man reached his climax, his seed pouring out into the girl upon him in a series of short bursts and he lays beneath her, trying to catch his breath in a somewhat dazed state, clearly coming out of his lust-frenzy.

Re: An Ancient Compact (Farren, Gargantuablarg, Copper)

Atair listens, taking in the man's description and making note of what he says about the flute. That was a handy bit of information, even if it did seem rather odd. A siren that didn't sing? At the innkeepers words, he was reminded of a...cautionary tale he once heard, but had to remind himself that it was mostly meant to startle kits, not provide lessons.

His silent musings are shattered by the interruption, actually startled enough that his ears perk up fully and his tails straighten and puff just slightly. Shaking his head, he makes certain that his weapons are at the ready before hurrying out the door and following the rush of the militia, trailing slightly wide around them to take a position closer to the fore, a better place to assess the threat. That, and if these people truly believed him a savior, remaining in the back wasn't an option - not that he considered it.

The sheer number that had mustered out surprised him some, but then, in places like this, it was up to the males of the village to protect when something threatened. What surprised him even more was what he saw in the distance: the two sirens walking toward the village.

Two.

They way they'd been swarming about, he expected the entire school to be bearing down on the place. Granted, in single combat, if you managed to let a siren sing, or in this case, play, there was a good chance of entrancement. Having more allies around to snap you out of it was likely a good thing. And yet, so many. For two. Perhaps the show of force was necessary but it seemed a little excessive to him.

The pair didn't seem hostile. From what he could tell, yes, they were armed, but then, so had he on his excursion from his home to here. The one even looked to be carrying a basket. Hardly the image of the conquering invaders that he'd studied in his years of training.

Taking a step that would put him slightly more in front of the closest group of men, he straightened slightly as well. He could feel his fur starting to raise in response to the atmosphere, the potential for a fight. Still, he kept himself in check for the moment, casting about for the elder. They were looking to him to aid with the 'menace' but there'd been no indication he'd been given command. Jorran was the elder and these were his men. For the moment, Atair was willing to defer to him unless indicated otherwise.

Meaghan let out a long and loud moan of ecstasy as the wave of warmth gushing between her legs set off her own climax. Her legs trembled slightly, her body quivering as the pleasure rolled through her.

After a moment she relaxed, breathing heavily, tongue rolling across her lips, finally able to properly savour the flavour of the stranger's blood.

Re: Baptism by Fire (Occam, Squid, Kathy)

By the time Drago winged back to the fires to assist, Flow was setting off in pursuit of the harpies seen flying away, the pair of them some distance behind Kriia by able to follow her movements in the sky. As the white winged haryp altered her course, the pair were able to match it, following after her in pursuit of the other group, although it was easy to tell that even they wouldn't be catching her for some time due to her signifigant headstart.

----

Meanwhile, Kriia arrived over the rather wide maze of canyons and circled overhead, trying to keep eyes on the other group. By the time she'd made it overhead, they'd disappeared into hiding places. For a while she circled overhead, ever the patient hunter, catching the occassional glimpse as they shifted about to get eyes on her. After a while, a pair of them began winging their way up towards her, brown feathered and each wielding a weapon, a bow and spear respectivly and began closing the distance to Kriia, screeching warcries. It was distinctly apparent that this group was not here to make friends, although thanks to her altitube, Kriia had the initiative.

----

Flow and Drago had gained a lot of ground by the time this had happened, but still had some ground to cover before they would be in range to assist her.

((I'll put up some combat maps and the like when I get home. Flow will enter into the combat in a few turns, followed by Drago a few turns later; assuming it's not over by then.))
