"Good with something?" Tess asked, pondering as she watched the demon flop down on her bed. "Not really... I was just average. I worked for a while as a waitress in a tavern, but I was too clumsy, and they fired me... I was going to try for work as a maid before I was kidnapped, but I probably wouldn't be very good at that..." She was shifting around, frowning slightly as she related her lack of abilities. "Maybe I can find something..."

"Not really anything? Hmm, that might not be a good thing. If nothing else can be done, the mistress just might put you into that one job that I wish no-one had to do..." Mei spoke out, referring to the breeder girls with her comment. Tess would have no idea of it, but the remark might still put her off somewhat. "Blah, I'm just over-imagining things. Surely there will be something better that you can do. Just have to work for it." the redhead demoness carried on, remaining quiet afterwards and hoping that sleep would come. She could do with a nap, and suggested that the new girl do the same. There might be something to do later in the day.

"Maybe... I'll try to make myself useful around here" Tess replied, shifting nervously as she likely considered how she might do that. When Mei-Lien offered her a nap she nodded, getting onto the edge of the bed and falling quickly asleep, along with the demon. Mei-Lien would awaken a few hours later, well before the girl beside her, feeling refreshed, but with nothing clear to do. She could either wake Tess up and find something to do with her, or wander around in search of someone. Or perhaps find an activity to do alone.

Later, after waking up from her mid-day naptime, Mei found herself still without anythig to do. No-one had come to poke at them during the time, all of them probably still doing their own things. Not completely sure what to go about and do, she got up from the bed, avoiding Tess in process. The girl should probably take a nap still, her condition was not as good as the redhead's own was. Once she got off the bed, the redhead decided to go wandering around the place with the lack of any better ideas guiding her.

Mei-Lien managed to get up without disturbing Tess, and she soon slipped out of the room unnoticed. She wandered around for a bit, pondering what to do in her boredom. She could have gone to visit any room in the castle, though most of them were the home of monsters. She could also try to specifically seek out Rosa. Either way, she could hear some vague sounds coming from a room not too far away, and she could also check that out.

There was a variety of things that could be done after a brief foray around the place. But a nearby room happened to offer some sounds that suggested activity, so that would be the spot to go to. Maintaining a degree of carefulness, Mei went for the sounds to investigate the source.

Mei-Lien moved carefully towards the door of the room that had activity in it, opening it slowly and slipping inside. There she would find Hannah and Erica in their training. Neither of them noticed her, the succubus because her back was turned, the mage because she was intently focused. Mei-Lien could tell that the demon was using a long staff to fight, and that Hannah's lower body, particularly her legs, was covered in bruises. The two seemed to be in a kind of standoff, each waiting for the other to make a move, until the mage jumped forward with a cry, a fireball bursting forth from her hand. Erica blocked it away with her staff, but Hannah wasn't done just yet, sending out another fireball. This one got past the demon's guard, and she flinched away as the flames burned her slightly. The skinny mage was still closing, though, and Mei-Lien would see why shortly, as a burst of flame in her hands became more concentrated and thin, until it had the form of a sword, and she slashed at Erica. The demon tried to block, but her staff was cut in two by the flaming blade, and put a shallow cut on her chest.

"Well done, you've come a long way since you got here. Don't let it get to your head" Erica spoke up, throwing her destroyed staff to the side and moving to get another, sturdier weapon. As she did she saw Mei-Lien, and asked "oh, didn't see you come in. How long have you been here?" Hannah looked up, surprised to see her mistress, and seemed a little bit nervous at having been watched.

The source of the sounds was made apparent as soon as Mei opened up the nearby door where the noise was coming from. It had been the pair of Erica and Hannah, still doing the training that the mistress had imposed onto the girl. After a brief exchange of magical powers and projectiles, the two of them stopped, the elder succubus noticing Mei as she picked up another weapon to fight with. There was a question aimed at her once that happened. "Since the whole jump in with a fireball part. Not too long." she answered the question.

"Mmm, just in time, then. Impressive, no?" Erica asked, grinning as she picked out a metal pole. "You want to get in on this at some point? Might be fun for the two of you to spar against one another." Hannah looked like she was going to say something, but she stopped short, instead just getting ready to fight whichever of them came at her.

"It kinda is, she has improved in quite a few ways since I last saw her battling something." Mei answered the question that was aimed at her, looking briefly at the nervous mage until another question was levelled at her. "Well, not right now at least. Kinda looking around for stuff." the redhead replied, leaving for other places unless stopped by neither of the training people.

Hannah blushed and smiled at Mei-Lien's comment, apparently happy that her work was paying off. "Suit yourself. I think the shapeshifter is reading in the library, if you're looking to find her. Other than that I don't know what you'd do" Erica said, waving to Mei-Lien as she turned to face the young mage, metal rod in hand.

"Alright, I'll keep that in mind. Have a good training period now." the redhead demoness answered to the mistress before turning on her heels and leaving the two of them to their practise session. Since Rosa would be in the library, that was a place she would avoid going into, not really looking for the familiar people at this point. She was just looking around for something curious, not sure what there might be to see inside this castle.

Mei-Lien wouldn't find much in her wanderings around the castle. This little half of the basement, where they all lived, seemed mostly taken up by either supplies, rooms with practical purposes, or the rooms with various torture equipment that the mistress used. The demon, of course, could visit the other part of the castle, and see any number of the monsters that inhabited that area, most of which she had seen before. She could also hear the sound of someone or something shuffling around the castle along with her, though always some distance away.

After a brief look around many different spots, Mei had eventually seen almost everything there was to see in the place. Average storerooms and stuff, along with the mistress' playrooms with various devices of bodily harm. "She sure likes her toys..." the martial artist thought upon the sight of them, even if it was nothing new to her that there were such devices in the castle.

Still, the sneaker that had been following her was somewhat raising her tension level, even if it was most likely nothing too serious. Deciding to get back at the lurk, Mei turned attention fully to sneaking up on the sneaker instead. If that was not enough, she could likely catch up with her speed.

Mei-Lien was easily able to sneak around to the rear of whoever it was that was following her, though it would seem that whoever it was wasn't exactly efficient at doing so. It was clear that the demon knew the castle better than whoever this was, as they seemed almost just to be wandering. Finally Mei-Lien got within sight of them, to find that it was a nervous-looking Tess, walking around and looking side to side, probably trying to find someone.

With some sneakery of her own, Mei was able to get within reach of the lurker behind her without alerting them. It turned out to be Tess, most likely looking for her. "Oh, looks like she couldn't stay put." the redhead thought as she witnessed the new girl going around. If there was an opening, she would try and sneak up on the girl instead, maybe even grab her from behind and ask what she was doing. But if that was out from the realm of possibility, the martial artist would just go up to her like normal.

Mei-Lien easily managed to sneak up on the unaware Tess, and with a quick motion she grabbed the girl and asked her what she was doing. The human let out a scream of fear as she turned white, shouting "AHHHH I'M SORRY I WAS JUST LOOKING FOR SOMETHING TO DO!" She looked utterly terrified, and had gone totally rigid in the demon's arms.

"That makes two of us then." Mei spoke up in her proper voice once more, having altered it slightly for the surprise grab. Maybe it had gone a bit over the top though, seeing the scaredy girl's reaction. She was even more afraid of things than Hannah was, and that was possibly not a good thing. "Have to say, you should not wander around without someone else to accompany you. There's a whole contingent of different monsters here, and they just might not know who you are. That leads to getting the intruder treatment, which might or might not be a good thing, seeing how it is you." the redhead explained, letting go after she said the things.

Tess relaxed as Mei-Lien continued to speak, breathing a sigh of relief. "I... probably wouldn't mind running into a monster, honestly..." she said, balling up her hands into fists as the demon let go of her. "I... I belong to you now, though, don't I? Is there... something you need? I don't want to be totally mindless. I want to be able to serve you at least some of the time."

"That's how it is, yes." Mei replied to the initial question about the relationship between them. "There is this problem that I don't generally require other people around too much, I've learned to be self-sufficient in most situations. You can hang around wih me if you want, but I don't think there will be much I'll ask from you. And you can desire things if you want, so if there is something interesting, go have a look or ask about it. I might be your mistress, but I'm not one to generally control people's lives. Those things are more Erica's realm, the other demon lady I talked with during food time." she explained her own views and ways. It was difficult to imagine what Tess' reaction to these revelations might be.
