The dryad raised an eyebrow at Mei-Lien, as did Hannah. "Fun is one way to look at it, I suppose. And who knows, maybe you'll be spared of any suffering. You seem to be good people. Sort of" she added, casting a sideways glance at the redhead, giving her a not so subtle reminder of the incident with the centaurs. "In any case, take care, and feel free to enjoy my forest as you see fit. Not many humans venture here anymore, it's a little sad."

"We possibly will, the sights at least." were Mei's words back at the dryad. Turning her attention to Hannah, she inquired the mage about their next destination. "Should we go? See what that magic-protected thing is all about?"

"Sure. And we should at least poke our heads in to tell Jenn we're okay, she seemed a little worried about us" Hannah replied, starting towards the door. "Thank you" she said to the dryad, waving as she left, and the nature spirit smiled back at her before disappearing up the tree, a bizarre sight to behold. When they were outside, Hannah suddenly remembered something, and said "oh, give me those, I'll enchant them for you as best as I can." She concentrated for a brief moment, and then handed the dryad's gift back to Mei-Lien; they didn't look any different, but somehow they felt different.

Mei-Lien has acquired Enchanted Knuckledusters. +1 to attack, on a critical hit inflicts a burn, giving -1 to enemy defense.

Hannah has gained Magicsight. Magical shrouding is ineffective against her.

"Hmm, alright." the redhead agreed to Hannah's suggestion about seeing the wolfgirl for one more time before they left. As the pair left the room behind, they saw the dryad retreat back into her tree once more.

As the door closed behind them, the mage stopped Mei along the way to enchant the knuckles she got. Seeing the pup.up pass by, a smirk grew on her face. "Great, I just might learn to love these things.." she thought, the idea of burning some happless creature with a punch being strangely appealing to her. "Now that we've done that, let's go see that wolfie."

The two of them walk quickly through the empty main hallway of the building, winding around until they reached the turn that would bring them back to the wolfgirl's room. As they open the door, Jenn falls out of her chair again, for whatever reason not expecting them at that moment. She takes a brief moment to compose herself before saying "well, here you are again. And in one piece, too. I'm glad to see it" her tail wagging just a tiny bit behind her as she spoke. "I assume you've got through this whole place then? What's the forest's guardian like? I've never met them myself."

The two girls navigate the twists and turns of the large-ish building, taking some time to arrive at Jenn's door again. When the do finally enter, they can witness the spectacle that is the wolfgirl falling down from her chair. No need to throw yourself to the floor everytime someone enters. Might end up badly sometime." Mei chuckled as Jenn got up from the floor.

The wolfgirl seemed happy to see the two again, and was asking questions soon. "She's a dryad, a motherly one at that. Surely you know what a dryad is?"

"I can't help it, you just always surprise me! Maybe I need to get a lock put on that thing, so you'd have to knock first" Jenn replied, rubbing her backside a little. "I know what a dryad is. It would make sense that one would be the guardian, but you never know. I've heard of fairies taking the role before." The wolfgirl fidgets a little, like she wants to talk, but doesn't know what to say. "Ummm... say, it's getting a little late. What say you stay here and I scrounge up a nice dinner for you, and you can spend the night here. I don't mind, and it gets dangerous at night."

Looking at the fidgety wolfgirl for a while, Mei doesn't see any good reason not to take her up on the offer. "I suppose we could. Or that's how I feel anyway" the redhead said, going ahead and sitting down at the table

"Sounds like an idea. I feel like I've spent a lot of time here, but most of it either birthing the mimic or getting patched up by the older mimic" Hannah said, following Mei-Lien to sit at the table. "Excellent. I'll be back in, like, thirty minutes, I have to go find and prepare dinner, don't go anywhere!" Jenn replied, quickly running out of the room, leaving the two alone at the table. "Huh... She's a little weird. Nice, though. I think she's lonely, the woods aren't actually that dangerous, even at night. At least, they aren't normally... So, what do you want to talk about, or do? We have a half hour to kill."

Have to agree with that, a chair-tipping wolfgirl is kinda odd. She should look for others of her species, but maybe there aren't any in this little neck of the woods, or she has some reason for her seclusion. I wouldn't know." Mei aired her thoughts, not knowing about Jenn's purposes for being out there in the building.

Once Hannah asked the redhead for things to do, she instantly knew what to do. "There is something I've been neglecting for some days now and that's what I'm going to do..." the girl replied, looking for a suitable spot or making room for one if there wasn't enough space. Once there was the necessary room, she took a stance to signal the start of a training regimen, immidiately afterwards lowering herself into splits to do a few stretches that way. "I don't recommend you trying this, might overstretch and dislocate soimething unless you've practised your joints enough." Mei told Hannah, eventually getting up to do more standard stretches.

Hannah gawked a little as Mei-Lien did the splits. "Oh, don't worry, I know better than to even try that. I'd break myself" she replied, watching from her chair as the redhead did some stretches from that position. When she got up to stretch in a way that was more doable for the mage she joined in, having missed the routine a little over the last few mornings. They kept up the exercises for a while before Jenn returned, holding a large platter of smoked meat. One might wonder where she got it. The wolfgirl quickly set out plates and cut out their portions, giving Hannah the largest bit. When the mage protested she replied "you obviously need it, it looks like your friend has been starving you" with a silly grin and a giggle. The three ate their dinner and chatted, though Hannah couldn't come close to finishing her meal, handing the excess off to Mei-Lien if she would accept it. It was a taste she'd never quite had before, perhaps a unique meat, but it was quite good.

The girls did stretches with Mei's lead until the wolfgirl returned. When the meat was presented, the redhead ate her portion in a slightly more restrained manner than some of the previous times. "That skinny girl there needs to work out, develop some strenght. Too much sitting at home makes you weak. Though I didn't force her, she's doing it voluntarily" she mentioned once Jenn gave her silly-grin remark. The meat was rather unique, but the girl didn't question the origin. It was usually a good thing to not think too much about the foods you eat, you might start getting bad thoughts and not eat because your mind rebels.

When Hannah offered her remaining bit, Mei took it without a word and scarfed that piece down after finishing her own. She had hardly eaten during the last few days, and there had been two intense sessions today. Once everything was gone, she leaned back on her chair and relaxed until the others had finished their eating.

Jenn turned out to be quite a slow eater, with surprisingly proper table manners, considering she lived out here alone. Mei-Lien and Hannah had a while to relax while she finished up her meal, and at the end she leaned back and said "well that was good, if I do say so myself. I don't normally cook like this when it's just me, it's so depressing to spend all that time on preparing things and then no one else sharing in it." She sat back for a long moment, satisfied by the meal, before saying "so, what do you wanna do? Now is about the time I would... let the mimic help me sleep... But I don't think that's something you'd want, unless I'm mistaken. There's lots of things we could do before bed, I just can't think of anything not silly at the moment."

Mei had some time to rest herself as Jenn was not nearly as fast as she (or Hannah to a lesser extent) was. After having finished the food and airing some of her thoughts about her current way of living, the wolfgirl asked them about further things to do. "Nothing silly huh? Well, try me with your silly. Only way to see if it's something I'd consider." the fighter replied, speaking on her own behalf of course

"Well... we could play cards, I guess... Or drink. Most of what I do for fun involves sex, I'm just that kind of girl" Jenn replied, winking at the two. Hannah blushed a little, and the wolfgirl continued "I don't think you two are really like that, though. So I leave it up to you. Feel free to suggest something else, I'm pretty open minded."

"After what happened last time with the drinking, I think I'll pass on that...." the fighter thought out loud, trying to get something in her head as Jenn didn't seem to have any good ideas. Eventually, a smirk formed on her face as she got an idea. "Can you fight? Like at all?" she asked the wolfgirl.

"Hmmm...? I can fight a little. You won't survive out here if you can't. I guess if you wanted to we could have a little fight outside. It'd be best to leave the mage out of it, more fair for me, and leaves her better able to heal us when we hurt each other, which I'm sure we will. Well, if you'd like, step outside" Jenn replied, a mischievous look flashing in her eyes as her wolf-like ears flicked a little. Hannah looked a little nervous, but didn't raise any objections.

"Alright..." the fighter said, thinking about the coming fight. It would be a good workout before sleep, though she had other ideas as well. Once they were outside and prepared for the coming battle, Mei threw in her other suggestion as she took a fighting stance. "Since you seem driven by sex in most entertainment matters, let's put a little stake in this match to spice things up. The winner gets to have her way with the loser" she asked, waiting for the answer before moving in to attack.

"Mmmm, that sounds like a good idea. You must be confident. I'll agree to that. Don't worry too much about hurting me, I'll be fine. I surely won't hold back on you" she said, a set of claws extending suddenly from her fingers. She didn't get into any kind of stance, but she seemed to be waiting for the fighter to make the first move.

"I'm not overtly confident, just like to fight things. And I haven't fought a wolfgirl, so I thought about putting something in there to make you motivated, get the best out from ya." she said, pausing briefly as she analyzed Jenn's open stance. "Hmmm, defensive approach. The one I use most of the time..." Mei continued, inching ever so slowly towards the wolfgirl and rushing her with a quick kick once she was close enough.
