Re: Daibanchou Big Bang Age

rance1 but it's more like a scrolling-option game, the game itself it pretty old (1989 :D)
There are groups that translate other Alice games ( rance6 and daiteikoku) but don't expect any patch soon at least before 2012.
If you want to play similar games learn Japanese, that's the only way.
Thanks, i have been waiting for a long time for the rance 6 english patch, alas i think i will die of old age befor they relase it.
Yeah, i think that's the only option left than.

Re: Daibanchou Big Bang Age

No I'm still in the district chapter, it took me several tries to understand the game.
lol i've played through it three times and I still find some of the characters hard... like that akihabara item shop girl.. I only barely managed to get her last game, and after that I had 1 gp left. thankfully i was still on turn 98 so I could do that blond for money... but I'd love to somehow get enough money before killing off the NPI and get item girl faster 0.o

also wiki is wrong for the sayuri yuri person I think... I got her in like the 4th turn of nationals because I had ryouga go all suicidal.

haven't even started trying the hard version yet because that just means more characters to get, means more of a headache lol

I haven't played Hard Mode much yet, but from what I remember, 4 more characters can be recruited. 3 of them which needs to be get during the District Chapter. Now how do you get them you ask? You have to buy a item from the item shop during said District Chapter that costs 999BP, basically you have to waste turns on purpose so Gou loans enough money for you to even buy it, then they can be recruited. Then you need those 3 to recruit the last one, which I don't remember how to get.

Other than that, I only played up to the P.G.G in the National Chapter on hard mode. I don't remember if there's any big changes in the School and District Chapter, but the P.G.G now sends out SIX tanks instead of just 3 when you encounter them and items are more expensive, meaning it's even harder to recruit the Item shop girl on Hard.

There's also about 12 CGs that are Hard Mode only, which require dealing with a sidequest with , a NPC that also only shows up in Hard Mode, which I haven't really gotten to either.

How do you raise love level? I keep doing the girls and their level are still the same, does the dating event have anything to do with it?

Yeah, at a certain point eventually just 'H'ing them does not increase it anymore, so you have to do the date events to make affection go up. I don't remember what else has to be done.

Date events will raise love. So will simply talking to them in the conversation phase (it's how I got Sanae to love level 8 before the end of the district chapter)

Re: Daibanchou Big Bang Age

Hey, this game is great. But I have to ask, if you finish it in normal mode(since you can't play higher difficulties on the first time), when you replay it in the same mode, all character levels are restarted? Because, honestly, I think its a kind of failure, since I love games with full of characters, but I love to built their levels, so if their levels reset, its a waste of time to put so much effort leveling them. I know that characters with CHARACTER CHECKS will start with a better stats in a new gameplay(I read about it), but again, their levels are reseted in a new gameplay(same difficulty) after finished the game once?

Thanks a lot. Regards.

This game looks fantastic. Unfortunately, the MegaUpload website was taken down as you well know. Can someone please post a link to another download site with this game in it? That would be beautiful.

Re: Daibanchou Big Bang Age

Ah, this game...it's addictive as all hell, that's for sure @@. Expect to spend quite a bit of time on this one because the gameplay mechanics might screw you over if you aren't careful. (Ending up in debt because the over all pay of the chars you have is too high, having to reload a few times because the enemy got lucky and was able to counter and kill off a character despite the low percentage etc.) but the wiki page explains everything thoroughly enough so you don't get screwed over.

Similarly to Sengoku Rance, the main character Rouga wants to unite all of Japan. He is personality wise, not similar to Rance, so don't expect him to RAPE RAPE RAPE, but there's still a large amount of H-content to be found here despite that.

I'm still curious if anyone is going to pick up translating Daiakuji(which has a similar system to this game, heck, Big Bang Age is basically it's Spiritual successor), though asking for one of the recently released Daiteitoku might be too much for anyone since it just came out, but I'd really look forward to it if it was translated as well.

Completely unrelated rants about unfortunate experiences with the game go here.
I missed getting Kunagi's ending despite having her love lvl maxed out first. I probably raised Sanae's too much and her ending randomly got priority, I still don't really understand how that works @_@.

I really don't know how to trigger Elena's/the knight girl's h-scene either. I know you're just supposed to wait for an event to trigger with the Holy Flame after the Juggernaut finally stops moving but it never came up, it's probably a start of turn event but it never happened.

I couldn't clear Kyoko's daughter, the last few events to clear her last star never showed up. Doesn't help that you have to clear Kyoko herself to even have her daughter join.

I took too long with the Holy Flame. once they rise up they'll start killing off the local factions if they're still alive(they'll raid Sangoku and wipe out the NPI) so I missed the last student button and didn't get the true end(the end-game sequence just ends at Kamui if you don't have all of them. You don't fight his...transformed form or whatever the hell it was)

I wound up lurking around and found their project status page on their forum. Looks like the translations itself for Rance 2 is done, just that they've run into problems with scripting and images. They're also planning on working on Rance 3 and 4.

Sorry, i`m not familiar with local celebrities, but what makes him\her write in red? It's annoying and makes eyes sting. Red is supposed to be used by admins\moderators.

Personal preference more than likely. You're free to do as you wish in your posts to a certain degree. It's not like you have to use black.

Honestly, I just plain prefer to, no one's complained about it since last year so I just continued to use it.

Also, I'm a dude. I figure the username sounded masculine enough but I guess me always using gals for avys confuses people.

As for links, I'll re upload the game again, it's one of those things I still have lying around but just never get back around to playing again.@_@.

Edit:Have at you then. ye go then. Finished uploading it, comes in several parts.

Re: Daibanchou Big Bang Age

Somebody got a 100% CG save for this? Unlocking everything is a pain in the ass considering the largeness of this game.

Honestly, if you're downloading a 1gb game(a mostly VN one with gameplay, and translated at that) just for the H you're better off finding the CG set, sure there are voices in this game's case, but all the h-scenes use the exact same still no matter how much the scene progresses(well, there is somewhat of an exception with all the Heroine's h-scenes but that's a different matter entirely)

Although, in matters of h-content, yeah, the h-scenes can be a pain to get and rather out of the way if you're just here for that, especially giving the size of the game, and the things you have to do to get some of them while trying to avoid losing the game too at that. So it's understandable enough if one is short on time given how much has to be done in this game.

Well, enough of my complaints, a request is a request, and I'll always answer it if I can, so have at ye.

yeah I can enjoy it without relapsing into my RotTK addiction.

also does anyone think getting all three of them(see attachment) is worth the trouble?

Re: Daibanchou Big Bang Age

That save unfortunately does nothing for me. I'm gonna go ahead and guess that it's because my game is english patched and every save I've found seems to do nothing to my game.

Has the english patch been updated at some point and maybe made untranslated saves work on a patched game?
