"First we want to see if you can handle a Sci-Blade," Ashalnies said as the trio entered the room, magic is only okay for ranged fighters and not all too reliable." she saids as she beckons one of the other veterans towards her and Rachel, "This is Sgt. Valoria," she said indicating to the woman she had beckoned towards them, she had a crimson red skin, was slim built but with good musculature and definition, she had yellow cat like eyes with black markings running from her lower eyelid, and the usual tentacles on her forehead- she was wearing a black latex jumpsuit, with light armor; "she will be sparring with you, to see if you are good enough to place the lives of what few capable soldiers we have."

"Okay outsider, you may know what all a Sci-Blade is capable of doing, but can you wield one efficiently? I guess well find out. Also be glad the captain didn't challenge you herself, I doubt you would win." she said with a smirk as she got into a ready position waiting for Rachel to get prepared before attacking.

Rachel nods, looking the Sgt up and down as she prepares to spar, paying particular attention to her crotch, trying to see if she had a bulge like the other alien woman. She'd never really been much of a fighter, but she figured that her virtual self probably had a little more ability than her real body did. She drew the psiblade she'd been given from the holster at her hip, slowly swinging it experimentally, before she got into a ready position. "Whenever you're ready..." Rachel said, but almost immediately she was trying to block the womans first attack, before responding with one of her own.

Rache is surprisingly able to time her guard and follow through perfectly and both block and strike back at the sargent, surprising quite a few of the soldiers in the room. "Gah! Not bad... For an outsider," Valoria responds tauntingly to Rachels counterstrike, "But you'll have to do better then that to beat me!" She saids challengingly as she bends down low to try get in a riposte to Rachel.

The sargent manages to slip past Rachels defense expertly and slam the flat of her blade against Rachels abdomen, causing her to double over slightly, nearly taking the wind out of her, "Don't worry, little outsider," she mocked, "This duel isn't to the death. First one to score three blows against te opponent is the victor. So far were tied. Win and the captain and another of our vets will assist you. Lise and you're on your own."

Rachel grimaced as she was hit in the belly, and then nodded at the womans words. It was about what she'd expected anyway. She readies her weapon again, looking as though she's going to block but then moving to attack again, trying to use the flat of the blade. If she could be aggressive, she might win before her opponent could land any more attacks.

If you don't try harder, you'll be dealing with the Symbios on your own." She saids hautily.

Rachel awkwardly gets to her feet, her head aching slightly and a scowl accompanying her blush of shame. She retook a defensive position, waiting for the opportune moment, when her opponent was about to attack, before Rachel side stepped and dove forward, coming with the flat of her psi-blade already swing toward the womans leg.

Rachel just barely misses as the Sargent skillfully jumps over her blade bringing hers down only to be barely blocked by Rachels sword. The Sargent then spins the blades around trying to break free and maybe make Rachel lose her grip and sword before attacking a third time, this time trying to bring the swords flatside down into the small of her back.

Rachel is unable to dodge or block her attack as the blade drives hard into the small of her back knocking her down and nearly out as she falls flat on her face. The match is over as Zeelo walks up to the ring, "This duel is over. Valoria is the clear and honorable victor. Sorry outsider. You're on your own, you and Thallin. You fought well, but unless you can price your self some other way, we don't see any point of sending what good men we have left to assist you." she saids in a tone that is not hostile but solemn none the less.

Rachels scowling visage did not improve at the defeat, and she looked sullen, but nodded nonetheless. "I understand. Perhaps when I return, I will change your minds. Before I go, was there any way you've found to remove the parasite from its host? In case I find any of your people and manage to trap them somehow."

Zeelo clinched her jaw and closed her eyes for a few moments in deep thought before answering, "Yes. A few of our people some of our more seasoned and hardened warriors have managed to retrieve and bring back to the colony have discovered after handing them over to our medics and scientists that the parasites seem to be susceptible to intense heat and sounds. Things such as plasma and or fire and high sonic vibrations greatly weaken if not kill the parasites, but as I said they are quite adaptable and have managed to learn to send others to strike at our weapons or equipment, removing our advantage over them. And we are....... hesitant, to say the least, to hand them over to outsiders." She explains, "But perhaps you magic could prove to better advantage since it doesn't require any equipment. Our scientists may be able to offer you more assistance. If you find one of our own, and bring her back to us alive, or better yet with the parasite removed, we may change our minds." She finishes as she points Rachel into the direction of their science facilities she passed earlier.

At the explanation on how to remove the parasite, Rachels face twisted into a smile. This was not a warm and friendly smile, however, appearing almost maniacally gleeful at her explanation. Rather than respond verbally, she holds up her gauntlet, which begins to vibrate and emit a high pitched shriek, before a ball of plasma appeared above it. It winked out a moment later, and she said; "I think I can do sonics and heat. I'll go speak to your scientists, but might you know off hand if you have anyone with a parasite attached? I want to see if its safe to remove them in the field with magic, or if it might be a better idea to knock them out and bring them back here." Regardless, Rachel would begin heading toward the indicated direction to see the scientists. If nothing else, they might tell her what was most effective against the parasites, so that she could remove them with greater ease.

Zeelo looked shocked and worried at Rachels request of seeing a victim still attached to the symbio, "A villager still.... attached to a symbio..... Yes... we have two or three still bonded to one.... but.... the creatures had made them... Stronger... unrational... almost mad with lust, and a threat to others in the safe house." "We had to either put them in cryo, seriously sedate them, or restrain them to keep them from harming others. To get close to one you'll hbe to convince Doc Ruri, our leading scientist and medic. And even then you'll like be locked up with it for the safety of the other patients and people in the safe house, on your own with the monster. And in afraid it'll take a good deal of flanangling to get permission." she explained uncertainly and cautiously as Rachel headed off to the science center.

"Fair enough, I figured there would be someone else I had to talk to. Just point me in her direction then." Rachel replied, and then went looking for this doctor Ruri. When she found her, Rachel would try to convince her to let her see one of the people who still had a Symbio attached. "I'm willing to take on the risks, and I might be able to help you free one of your people. Worst case scenario, you'll only have one more person with a parasite attached to them to deal with. Also, anything you can tell me about what the parasites can do would be nice. Do they have any poisons or anything like that that I have to worry about? I'll probably have to get pretty close in order to test my magic without risk of hurting the subject."

As Zeelo lead Rachel into the medical/science department she met a volumptious woman wearing a black sweater, a tan mini skirt, stockings, white lab coat, with pink hair done up in a bun, deep blue eyes, and glasses. Surprisingly she was lacking any head tentacles. "Ruri, this outsider has cone saying she can help us with the Symbios. She seems to posess Psionic or mystical powers but is lacking actual combat. She wishes to.... Examine, one of bonded comrades who have been restrained. I think it is foolish. But the decision is up to the two of you." she saids before leaving te room.

Upon hearing Rachels question Ruri would explain their nature to her, "The Symbios' skins are quite dense and resistant to damage. Especially that of the older ones which have been attached to the ones in hibernation you wish to study. They have grown unsettlingly resilient against our weapons. If you venture out, then you should to pray to run into a symbio infant. They're unadapted unlike the older ones and your powers would harm them, as well as your psiblade. They are about the size of a small cat or kitten and their members only resemble an engorged clitoris. They also don't have their trioxins.

The trioxin is a three stage toxin it can shoot out of its mouth. The first stage is an aphrodisiac that heats up a victims libido through contact, it usually takes about a minute for it to kick in. The second stage is a special chemical that loosens the spinchter and vaginal area. Making it easier to enter it's victim. An the final stage is a paralyzing agent which completely paralyzed her from te waist down. The trioxin is it's main weapon which is used to make victims easier to attach to and feed from." she finishes to Rachel before adjusting her glasses, "But you're lucky as in most of our victims have had the Symbios trioxin removed. But it still has given their victims increased strength speed and makes the victim dangerous to be around."

Rachel listens intently at doctor Ruris explanation, the part about the triotoxin piquing her interest in particular. That might be good to remember. "Thank you doctor, but if you've removed the toxin gland, might you be willing to that one temporarily? Just to see if I can effect the older parasites with my powers. If I can't, you can just thaw it out again later. I wouldn't force you to come in with me, so I'd be taking all the risk, and I'm sure you have enough tranquilizers to keep it docile while I try to burn the parasite off of it. If it breaks out, just fill whatever room we're in with knock-out gas and then freeze it again. I won't mind, you'd be protecting your people. If you're not willing to risk it, that's alright as well. I understand if you don't want to put yourself or your kind at risk."

After that, Rachel moves on, saying; "Errrmmmm.... There's osmething else I'd been meaning to ask. Why are you... Different, from all the others I've seen? And I also was wondering why you don't have any men around? Do the parasites kill them on sight or something? And what was with that bulge in your commanders pants?" The barrage of questions is delivered with much less severity than the first part of her response to the doctor. Internally, she thought; "I wonder if I can save the game here or something....."

Ruri looked down to her feet, while rubbing the bak of her head deep in thought for a fe moments before finally looking back up to Rachel to respond, "Do you wish to see a subdued victim or the toxin gland, we have both available. The truth of the matter is we have been studying the glands to attempt to find an antidote or antibody to negate it's effects. We've had.... litle success, as The older parasites are more resilient and toxin more potent, we've only manage to develop one for the younger member of the species. The bonded victims we have in containment should be fairly less of a threat without the toxin, if you wish to test one. If you could remove one, we would be grateful as it would mean we have some of people and soldiers back to help our populace. We might even be willing to part you with a vial of the minor toxin antidote, but we are in short supply and wouldn't be able to give you more." She finishes before hearing Rachels next line of questions, "Well, it's sort of personal, but..... You see, I WAS an outsider myself earlier before your arrival. I was a human explorer who's ship crashed on this planet. One of the race helped save me from a symbio attack. It was I who helped in developing the antidote for the younger parasites toxin. Eventually I just settled down in here. As for the lack of men, this colony is mostly women and hermaphrodites. About one in every five families is blessed with a child with both genitals to help multiply our people. The commander is such a child. If I can remove the parasites of anyone I beat in the field, it's just that many more people helping fight these things, and a sample of the antitoxin would be a very nice bonus if my magic works. Just in case, of course."

"I've been here for about five years now. And from what the other have told me while I've been here, the Symbios have been a problem for about twenty years. They were here several years before me. It was just fortunate that my masters was in biology and medical science. Though I was stumped for quite a while due to the alien anatomy of the creatures." She explained as she fetched a small syringe filled with the anti-toxin, "Here. Remember it's in short supply so you only get one does for now, use it wisely. And if it turns out she is too much for you, we'll put her down and drag you out. Be careful in there." She saids with a hint of concern as she enters a few keys and the door hisses open, a strong gust of frigid air blasting out, making Rachel shiver and her nipples stiffen a bit. As she walks in the door slowly closes behind and a few moments the woman's bonds would snap open releasing her. The woman was pale rose/mauve color, with the expected head tentacles, the tentacles had grey spots going down them and she seemed to have striped tattoos, going down her shoulders.
