"Why does it have to be so hard to see something..." Ai thinks, taking a few steps inside to have a more careful look at the room. She keeps her polearm ready, accustomed to having herself jumped at by ambushers.

As Ai and Mary walk into the room, they find it mostly empty, besides a chair propped up against the wall. Sitting in the chair is a catgirl, fast asleep and making little snoring noises every so often. She is completely naked and a bit pudgy, but not unpleasantly so, a little bit of drool running out of the corner of her mouth; in all she puts off the image of a lazy housecat. Mary makes a slight noise as she walks into the room, and the catgirl's ears perk up as she awakens; when she sees the two girls in the room with her she lets out a stunned mewl and her chair slips away from the wall, causing her to fall with a loud crash. Quickly she bounds up and eyes the two carefully. And who are you, meow? Treasure-seekers? Meow, I can't allow you to pass. The catgirl seemed to concentrate, and a light appeared in front of her. Suddenly, in the blink of an eye, a tentacle monster appeared between the catgirl and the two adventurers. Though if you beat this guy I guess I'd have to let you go, meow.

Mary moves through the room, stifling a laugh when she sees the catgirl fall out of the chair.

"Ah...tentacles" She says with a lewd grin as the named monster appears before them. "Well, let's not be so hasty here..."

Of course Mary was unable to think of a worse pun, and cast slow on the beast.

Barely managing to contain a giggle as she follows the catgirl's antics, Ai's laughing is stopped by the tentacular abomination suddenly appearing in front of her.
"Bring it on then...." she thinks, stepping in ever so slightly, aiming her strike at the monster's center mass

Mary manages to cast Slow on the tentacle monster, and as a result it finds itself unable to avoid Ai's slash. The catgirl burst into laughter as she got Mary's pun.

14 vs. 11

The tentacles managed to slap at Ai, however, and she felt just a little tired as her robe dissolved a little.

As she gets tentacle-whipped, Ai sees a part of her robe dissolve from the site of the hit. "Oh, again?" she thinks, feeling a sudden urge to stop and slap her forehead hard as the catgirl starts laughing. "That was terrible..."

Still determined to not fail against this thing, Ai keeps her martial focus up, drawing steady breaths as she goes for another strike at the tentacular creature.

"Alright, now that we're taking it slowly, let's do this right." She says to herself, shooting a blast at the tentacle beast.

"I almost feel bad, I bet he'd have given us a lot of fun..."

Mary manages to hit the tentacle monster, but Ai isn't so lucky, somehow managing to miss the slowed beast.

Ai still manages to get out of the way of the tentacles as they slap at her.

"Comon Ai, pick up the pace! We gotta beat this thing before the spell wears off...which should be about...oh, now." He says, realizing the spell would be over soon, aiming another blast before preparing for the round after.

"......" Ai doesn't manage to get any words out under the barrage of bad puns, trying to keep her focus on the tentacles monster. Knwing it will start to move normally soon, she aims a swing at the creature, hoping to capitalise on the last vestiges of the slow spell.

Both Mary and Ai miss the tentacle monster badly, despite its slowed status. The catgirl laughs a bit as she watches the battle, amused by what she saw.

8 vs. 15

The tentacles also miss Ai, though they're starting to quicken their pace, and it becomes apparent that the spell is quickly wearing off.

20 vs. 2, Critical!

Mary casts Slow again, draining the last of her excess magical reserves, though this gives Ai enough of an opening to make a very deep cut on the tentacles, causing them to jerk backwards as blood leaked out onto the floor.

14 vs. 13

The monster manages to counterattack viciously, slapping her with its tentacles and managing to get a light hold on her as the tentacles' slime dissolved more of her robe.

"Good job Ai! Let's finish this up before we run out of time." Mary says, having run out of puns. She just focused on helping Ai defeat the creature, blasting it from range.

And taunting it. "Hey! Let go of her! I'm cuter!"

"Oh Mary, you're such a masochist...." Ai thinks as she hears the mage's attempt at drawing attention. But it was true, the creature could overcome them if they didn't capitalize on the duration of the slow. With that in her mind, she turns her attention back on the monster, ignoring her dissolving clothing.

Mary's blast sails wide, causing the catgirl to jump and mewl as it slammed into the wall not far from her. Ai has better luck, slashing the tentacles that hold her off the main body.

9 vs. 23

The tentacles weakly attempt to counterattack, but fail badly to hit Ai.

Mary attempts another blast, hoping she might be able to blast the tentacles off of Ai. She also wonders about the catgirl, wondering if she had any more tricks up her sleeves, it might be best to do something about her if that were the case.

"Come on Mary, focus! I need your firepower too..." Ai thinks, seeing Mary's magic blast almost hit the catgirl instead of the tentacle monster. Byoued by her previous success, she presses the attack despite all the possibilities of getting grappled or whipped.

Mary and Ai both fail to hit the tentacle beast, who is perhaps getting used to being slowed down and adapting to it.

9 vs. 6

The tentacles then manage to slap Ai around the shoulders and grab her arms, though not tightly enough to keep her from attacking. Her robe is now hanging by shreds, only the defensive robe she'd gained earlier remaining unscathed, and she's starting to get a bit aroused by the slime as it seeps through her robes and onto her skin. The tentacles begin to move quicker now.

"Oh come on!" "...her" Mary shouts, finishing with an odd statement in her head. "Cut it out and just lose already!"

Mary fires another blast, unsure how useful it will be.

"Kyaaah.." Ai lets out a small cry as the tentacles grab her arms. Fighting against her dissolving clothing, grasping tentacles and arousing slime in a one-sided battle, Ai ignores the heat starting to rise in her body and attempts to swipe at the slimy tendrils holding her.
